nothing but ordinary

June 18, 2008 By Kelle

…another one of those days where…

…between preparing lunch for my friends for a mommy lunch date at our house (heaven) and crying on the phone to my mom tonight ‘cuz she lives too far away to be part of all the wonderfulness of miss cubby…
(conversation went something like this:
Me: “sob, sob, sob…but she’s soooo cool, and you can’t even see it…sob, sob, sob..
Her: “What? Honey, I can’t understand you.”
Me: “sob…sob…sob…I just wish you could…sob, sob, sob….see how great she is…ya know what she did today? …sob, sob, sob…”
…acutally a bit embarrassed about how ridiculous I must have sounded)
….anyway…between it all and the mundane fillers in between…it’s just another one of those days where i’m really glad i got picked for my life and that my basket of memories is gunna still belong to me when this is all said and done…

…going through a kissing phase right now, and seriously, what’s better than a kissing phase? She kisses her dolls, her stuffed animals, her blankets, her books, and tonight, I drew a doggie on the driveway with sidewalk chalk and she bent down and immediately kissed it. Hello. She belongs to ME. …and she’s just…so cool.

Paint, Baby! Draw, Baby! Create, create, create! Gunna start her as early as I can. Can’t wait to bust out the easel that’s packed up in the garage. P.S. This outfit was SIX DOLLARS from a new second-hand shop I found that ROCKS. (okay…so the jean jacket we already had)

Photobucket
So, at her 12 month appt., they weighed her, measured her and circumfrenc’ed her head, but I can’t get over why they didn’t measure her eyelashes. That’s protocol, right? ‘cuz I’m sure we would have gotten some sort of gold star of pediatrician approval.

…after bath fun with daddy and his baseball cap tonight. Everyone should be so blessed to witness the Brett & Cubby show…it’s quite magical, really.
Photobucket
Once again, I get to experience the magic of sweet littles today. Sweet Alan James and Lily Grace blessed our home with their presence. House full ‘o littles…nothin’ I’d rather have. Yup, it was a good day.

It’s late. I’m ready to go to bed…and as if my just-looked-at-magical-pictures-of-my-day-and-sweet-littles high wasn’t good enough, B just walked in, smiled and said…”how ’bout she sleeps with us tonight?”
…to which I replied… “I’m so glad I married you.”

the sweet breath of heavenly little awaits me …and her little body will fit our “nook” just right.

…enjoying the too-good-to-be-true things… ~k

I could drink a case of Lainey…with a chaser of Brandyn and Austyn…and a scrumptious dessert of Savannah, Sydney and Somer. Ah, grandchildren–the delicious creme brulee of the family. Have a wonderful day–no sobbing phone calls, no regrets…this day will have moments to savor too!

LOVE the pics! love the new “treatments” you are adding to them. Are they PS or MDIS?

Trying to pic a favorite – Love the pic of LL and the sidewalk chalk arrow. The face she’s making is great, like uh, mom what are you doing way up there?

Jonah has started the kissing thing too, I LOVE IT! can’t get enough of it!

Lily just gets cuter and cuter!

Oh so dumb, it took me the LONGEST time to figure out why that little boy (named Alan James) looked SO much like the other cute little boy LL plays with named AJ. Wow that was a bleach blonde moment.

That is why you do what you do, you capture the little moments, the little everyday things that parents and kids do every day. You capture them doing every day things but it makes them look so much more special. Our kids are beautiful….I think we have the next Mickey Mouse Club :} between all of our kids. Thank you for a wonderful day!
P.S. You forgot to mention that Lainey is moving in on AJ with those lumptious lips of hers.
