Cheers to Fathers!

June 15, 2008 By Kelle

Happy Father’s Day, Dad and F.I.L.! You both are loved so much by all of us!

Your role in our lives is JUST AS IMPORTANT today as it was when we were little…if not more! And thank you for being great grandpas to our littles. You are loved, you are loved, you are loved!

…and to our own daddy, you truly are the best daddy I’ve ever met, and watching you with the kids is like watching a love story. I could write a book on the million little things you do that make you a special dad. I can’t wait for the coming years and to watch you as a daddy of little grown-ups too because I know you will amaze me! Thank you for loving them first. Thank you for making memories for them. Thank you for spending time with them. Austyn and Brandyn will be WONDERFUL fathers someday because YOU are their role model. We love you!
(this is a posed and cheesy shot, but our daddy likes the posed and cheesy for some reason! )

…and check out what my sister says about my sweet dad here

Thank you for giving me the title I value most in life…Dad. And just when I thought I had arrived, you gave me another cherished title…Poppa! You cannot know the joy you bring to my life…and to see my baby with her babies…one you bore and two who “stepped” into your heart so beautifully. When I see echoes of your mother and my approach to parenting, I wonder…”maybe we did a few things right!” My reminder on this day is to savor every moment of their little lives–they are never interruptions to our lives, they ARE your life. Children bring serendipity, reminding us to laugh, share leisure, “waste” time together. The moments they interrupt your own schedule may end up being the memory you cherish most someday. I love you all!!!
