More Birthday Fun

May 19, 2008 By Kelle

So, for her actual birthday, we just lounged…drank her in…went for a dip in the pool with her, played outside, read books…well, I’ll let Lainey tell you what she did…

I modeled my new birthday bikini (thank you, Katie!)…

I sat inside and watched my brothers play in the pool with their friends (a favorite pastime)…

I practiced my baby yoga. I get my foot higher and higher every time!

I made my Mommy cry at least 10 times today…just bein’ me and remindin’ her of this special day last year…
Just as I am

I opened my presents from my family…and loved this new toy Brandyn picked out for me!
Brandyn's gift to me

I demonstrated the new thing I learned this week that melts Mommy & Daddy’s hearts…I HUG! When I’m overcome with love, I reach out and give a great big hug! (like I did here with my brother!)
Hugs

I had a very special day with my family! At 7:45 exactly, they all made lots of noise and cheered! Mommy banged pots and pans, Austyn popped balloons and rang the doorbell over and over, Daddy banged on a drum, and Brandyn shook a tamborine! All to celebrate me!!! (Thank you Aunt Carin for the new tradition! Aunt Carin says someday when I’m away at college, Mommy & Daddy will call me at the exact moment I was born and bang pots and pans over the phone!)

I haven’t been to your page before. Heather was showing me your photography tonight. It’s so…beautiful. So I’m browsing and I see that toile chair (black and white one). About 4 months ago I was redoing my office at work and picked up that exact chair from TJs. Loved it the moment I saw it and planned my office around it. When I saw it, I actually thought of your sister. Could totally see that in her house. Anyway, I had it for about 2 weeks and noone over 150lbs could seem to squeeze their butt into it, so i sadly took it back.

Hope things are well – SOOO glad to see you being creative; or glad to see you being SOOO creative.

Oh, and I love David Gray. Good choice. Check out “One Heartbeat at a Time” by Steven Curtis Chapman; it’d be great on your page.

That smile in the family pic! What a doll! This post reminds me: Chloe was born at 6:41am. Her 5th birthday she started setting an alarm about 5 minutes before so she could always “celebrate” the exact moment. (And then of course, go back to sleep! ha!)

aww she hugs!! so sweet! I love the new tradition! (who cares, but I wonder what your neighbors thought?) sort of reminds me of Gilmore girls. Have you seen the Rory birthday episodes? I love that she keeps her hats and glasses on, she’s such a lady!

She was born on Jonah’s Due Date.

As for her birthday celebrations… She celebrates her birthday like I do – not a birthday DAY, but a Birthday FORTNIGHT! Stretch it out!

The family shot of all of you is sooooo sweet. Little girls in jammies are the best…but the ones of her looking at the boys in the pool…so darling.
