Enjoying

February 6, 2014 By Kelle

Sometimes my favorite posts to write are simple enjoying ones.  They’re quick and easy little prayers.

Enjoying…

Listening to the big sister read to the little sister.  First grade delivers lots of lovely things, but this is one of my favorites.
 photo print23_zps189203bd.jpg

Hearing shutters clank from the other room and knowing exactly what he’s up to.  Open, close, open, close, open, close.
 photo print1_zps85305269.jpg

Making heart cookies in the middle of the day just because.  No kid help.  I made them for me.

The tickle side crunch.

Catching a casual arm over shoulder.

Mac-and-cheese face staredown love.

And these last bits–a little warmth sent to our frostbitten friends north of us.   You’ll have it soon, guys.

After school hose fun.

Very nice!!! Some of my favorite times are after school, the dog running wild, the girls playing Else & Anna, and me, sitting back and observing that “this is good”.

So happy to see your warm, sunny pictures! We’re heading down to Naples this coming weekend from bitter cold Michigan and just seeing the ground again (green grass is a plus!)is going to be amazing; let alone the ocean and the blue skies! Looking forward to a long, breezy, Florida weekend. If we see you in town, we’ll say hi! πŸ™‚

Omgoodness! I’m loving the warm weather photos. Meanwhile, I had to give myself a serious pep talk just to walk to the mail box. Did I mention it is 20° out? Brr! ….also, it was all junk…double whammy.

I love your photos and positive out look on life. Whenever I’m feeling down, I know right where to go for a pick me up. Thanks for being you!

I normally try not to brag / complain but the bathing suit pictures are kind of killing me. If you head North, and then head North some more and then find a polar bear and back track a bit, you find our house. I allowed my husband to drag me here…-24 F right now. And it gets worse.

You do miss seasons, right?? There is a reason I shouldn’t beg for a relocation…

I think your enjoying posts are some of my favorites!

I’ve been having a lot of anxiety lately and struggling to enjoy the small things in my own life. Your posts always remind me to stop and breathe. I’ve been following your blog since my littlest daughter was 9 months old and your Nella just a few weeks. I had PPD and finding this space helped me tremendously. Then and now.

Anyway, as a born and raised Pennsylvanian I have to wonder – do you get many bugs down there? Do they bother your kids? While I am looking forward to the warm weather that should be coming in the next couple of months, there are a ton of bees in our area and every year there is an adjustment period where my girls will scale my body, shrieking in fear every time we step outside.

Thanks again for sharing and reminding us all to just relax and enjoy πŸ™‚

Thanks for sending some sunshine our way in these photos. I’m a girl, through & through, who thrives on sunshine & I miss it. Sending virtual polar hugs your way from Tejas,

Cute pics but I don’t envy your lack of seasons. I lived in Fl for four years and I hated every second due to the weather and it was the reason we moved back up North. No fall and winter!! Glad you enjoy it but it’s not for everybody. Me and my people are thoroughly enjoying the snow days and also extra time with the kids. Cut pics though.

I love your blog and I’m a single (almost) 30 year old! It is always reminding me to slow down and enjoy every day instead of the future life I keep running to get to. This is so silly, but I saw this product on shark tank and I feel like you would love it because you take so many amazing photographs all the time. I promise this isn’t a pitch since I have nothing to do with them! Google groovebook and I bet you would love it as much as I do and I don’t have as many photographs as you do! I hope you know your words and story inspire so many different people in so many different ways. I hope I can be half as cool of a mom as you are one day. If y’all ever make it up to Charleston let me know!
