Sometimes my favorite posts to write are simple enjoying ones. They’re quick and easy little prayers.
Enjoying…
Listening to the big sister read to the little sister. First grade delivers lots of lovely things, but this is one of my favorites.
Hearing shutters clank from the other room and knowing exactly what he’s up to. Open, close, open, close, open, close.
Making heart cookies in the middle of the day just because. No kid help. I made them for me.
Catching a casual arm over shoulder.
Mac-and-cheese face staredown love.
And these last bits–a little warmth sent to our frostbitten friends north of us. You’ll have it soon, guys.
After school hose fun.
Happy Humpday.

An Ode to Naps over at All Parenting this week.

Very nice!!! Some of my favorite times are after school, the dog running wild, the girls playing Else & Anna, and me, sitting back and observing that “this is good”.
We could use some warmth up here π Your pictures give me hope that spring will soon be here!
Such a sweet blog post. Thank you for sharing these lovely family moments. Your babies are beautiful.
Lovely. We’ve been enjoying our snow, but the warmth would be nice!
I can’t wait!!!
Simple things are usually the best.
Beautiful photos, beautiful children!
I love this post, Kelle! It made me smile,
I love this post, Kelle! It made me smile,
beautiful! I love living summer through your eyes; Atlanta is chilly @ the moment I loved the one of Nella & Lainey reading together. Thanks for sharing :)!
Kelle – these photos are gorgeous! You are a photography inspiration to me. π
Gorgeous photos! I definitely needed that little bit of warmth, because we got snow on Monday and then snow and ice today, and I was outside for a few hours shoveling…Thank you for making me warm inside my heart!
so sweet! lovely pics
Ahh, yes. And that’s why you live in florida! I’ve forgotten what it feels like to be so hot I want to run through sprinklers. Beautiful (teasing) photos.
Ah! Thank youuuuuu!
So happy to see your warm, sunny pictures! We’re heading down to Naples this coming weekend from bitter cold Michigan and just seeing the ground again (green grass is a plus!)is going to be amazing; let alone the ocean and the blue skies! Looking forward to a long, breezy, Florida weekend. If we see you in town, we’ll say hi! π
This was just what I needed : )
Some sunshine.
Thank you!
Happy Wednesday, Kelle!
Omgoodness! I’m loving the warm weather photos. Meanwhile, I had to give myself a serious pep talk just to walk to the mail box. Did I mention it is 20° out? Brr! ….also, it was all junk…double whammy.
I love your photos and positive out look on life. Whenever I’m feeling down, I know right where to go for a pick me up. Thanks for being you!
I’m just excited to be in the first 20 (comments)! If I still am…. love your blog, love your writing, love your photography. Nothing that ain’t been said before. π Can’t wait to meet you someday! Ha ha. I know I will. Til then, keep writing and posting beautiful things.
Xoxo from Utah! I’ll save you some snow…

“They’re quick and easy little prayers” LOVE THIS!!!!
Love how your words of wisdom are tucked inside your posts-they lift a spirit, inspire a soul and encourage a smile. You warm the world with your enjoying the small things…
Thank you π
Monique
I normally try not to brag / complain but the bathing suit pictures are kind of killing me. If you head North, and then head North some more and then find a polar bear and back track a bit, you find our house. I allowed my husband to drag me here…-24 F right now. And it gets worse.
You do miss seasons, right?? There is a reason I shouldn’t beg for a relocation…
Beautiful moments captured. I love the first pic where Nellas profile looks so much like her big sisters xx Bron
Beautiful photos ~ all of them π
And you are so right, sometimes the simplest things warm our hearts most,if only we take the time to see them π
Touching Photos. Especially love the one of your girls reading. It brought back fond memories of when my girls were younger. Thanks for the warmth on this winter day π
Mac-n-cheese face staredown love is warming my heart on this very VERY cold day up North!
The idea of bathing suits and playing with the hose is so far removed from our foot of snow and 0 temps that I am just in awe! Thanks for warming me up!
The sibling love is so heart-warming to see :o)
Thanks so very much for sending us stuck in the “polar vortex” warm thoughts of playing in the sun and sprinkler!!
I had a dream last night that you asked me to babysit your kids. Fyi…I enjoyed playing with all of them and kissing their sweet faces!
It made this grandma happy π
Love!!!

I think your enjoying posts are some of my favorites!
I’ve been having a lot of anxiety lately and struggling to enjoy the small things in my own life. Your posts always remind me to stop and breathe. I’ve been following your blog since my littlest daughter was 9 months old and your Nella just a few weeks. I had PPD and finding this space helped me tremendously. Then and now.
Anyway, as a born and raised Pennsylvanian I have to wonder – do you get many bugs down there? Do they bother your kids? While I am looking forward to the warm weather that should be coming in the next couple of months, there are a ton of bees in our area and every year there is an adjustment period where my girls will scale my body, shrieking in fear every time we step outside.
Thanks again for sharing and reminding us all to just relax and enjoy π

Kelle….
Loving it, loving it!! π

you are master smiler spreader.
Port Huron to Grand Rapids – we are SO sick of this weather!!!
Thanks for the reminder that there is still a sun…somewhere…
Oh, Everywhere Babies is one of our favorites around here!
Beautiful. No wonder these are your favorite kinds of posts.
I love the picture of Lainey reading to Nella! I love all the pictures. Please, please, please post more sunshine and beach pictures!!!!! I am up North and can NOT handle anymore snow!!! 70 roads near our home are impassable and 7out of 8 schools in our district do not have power!! Spring please!! Love your blog. Take care everyone, stay warm and safe. Our power line people are working their tails off to get us back up and running, they are doing great!
How cute!
Those cookies…I LOVE making Vday cookies, now I am inspired π
What beautiful pictures! I came across your blog via beeautifulblessings and I’m excited to see and read more π

The Mac and cheese stare down is the best. Dash is getting so big!! Every new post, I swear I can see him age by months in between, even if it has only been days!!
Beautiful reminders of those precious small moments. And we are certainly craving some sprinkler weather in in NC!
Beautiful photos! Gosh Texas is getting hammered with cold fronts, one right after the other this winter & Florida is dodging them I see each time I watch the weather. Thanks for sending some sunshine our way in these photos. I’m a girl, through & through, who thrives on sunshine & I miss it. Sending virtual polar hugs your way from Tejas,
Melissa
So envious of your warm sunny afternoons! My heart belongs in the warmth, but my friends and family hold my heart hostage here in Virginia where the winters are cold!
These enjoying posts of yours are my favorites, too. And I really like thinking of them as simple prayers. Perfect.
Can I just say for the 5,000 time, I’m sure, that Dash is so stinkin’ cute!? His perfect head, his toothy grin, those mini muscles of his?! I die.
Cute pics but I don’t envy your lack of seasons. I lived in Fl for four years and I hated every second due to the weather and it was the reason we moved back up North. No fall and winter!! Glad you enjoy it but it’s not for everybody. Me and my people are thoroughly enjoying the snow days and also extra time with the kids. Cut pics though.
I love your blog and I’m a single (almost) 30 year old! It is always reminding me to slow down and enjoy every day instead of the future life I keep running to get to. This is so silly, but I saw this product on shark tank and I feel like you would love it because you take so many amazing photographs all the time. I promise this isn’t a pitch since I have nothing to do with them! Google groovebook and I bet you would love it as much as I do and I don’t have as many photographs as you do! I hope you know your words and story inspire so many different people in so many different ways. I hope I can be half as cool of a mom as you are one day. If y’all ever make it up to Charleston let me know!
Adorable photos! Your little Dash is really growing! We had -20 here in Iowa this morning! The snow is pretty but it is freezing!!
Thanks for reminding us that warmer days are coming!!
Kelle, As always amazing photos but I just LOVE the photo with her squatting down with the umbrella over her head! just made my chuckle. I love that the littlest things can bring a smile to my face and some how you know how to do that, Thank you!
Your photo of Dash and Nella is just precious!
New to your blog and wanted to say hello. Jealous of your afternoon warmth π
