A short little weekend hello.
We have sunshine-embracing plans this weekend, so I’ll be quick.
Enjoying…
Sister’s Mad Stacking Skills.
And she holds that top block very still for a moment before she lets go, careful to make sure her tower is properly balanced.
*****
My tree chandelier.
It’s a fancy party wrapped up in a tree. I want to deck out a miniature room underneath it for some fairies. Oh, I totally will.
*****
The way she holds her toes when she sits.
Always. I love it.
*****
Lainey’s ever changing expressions.
Her eyes tell so many stories.
*****
The way Target ups the ante every time they get a new baby line.
I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love with anything at Target more than this little dress. So much I bought it in the only size they had left, even though it’s a bit too small. It’s so Strawberry Shortcake-meets-Enchanted Gnome. The yellow strawberry straps looked at me, I looked at them…and it was love.
Nella’s modeling her please-don’t-put-me-down stance.

Impromptu Beach Sunset with Friends Last Night
There you have it. Happy Weekend.

Love these photos! The girls are so cute and you guys are absolutely amazing parents, if I’m a fraction of the parent you both are I’ll be very pleased with myself.
Inspiring me to look beyond the drizzling rain to live it up with the fam this weekend!
Happy Weekend! Dreaming of NJ getting your weather soon! Have Fun!
OMG I LoVE nella’s dress. If they had one in my size i would so wear it!!!1
I love your words. They always go so perfectly with your photographs…and even if you had no photos to share, your words would paint the most perfect picture! Happy weekend sweet girl!
Is that a picture of you with the UPS guy?! Love it! Have a great weekend!
Are you serious??? That outfit is from target??? I’m SO going there! Thanks for the FYI. She’s adorable in it BTW =)

so cute! I’m new to you blog but what beautiful girls you have! And such gorgeous photography skills too! Have a wonderful weekend.
LOVE Lainey’s romper on the beach picture – where is it from? I don’t know if its a good thing or a bad thing that your girls are so stylish and my daughter is the same build and age as your Lainey. Makes me want to shop shop shop!
Good Morning!
Thanks to YOU it is!!
Happy Weekend! Enjoy!
Nella’s dress is so cute! I’m going to attempt a homemade version over here π
I love Lani’s cute expressions, and how cute is Nella standing in the ocean in her swimsuit. Jealous of the warm weather your having, and I can’t wait for it to warm up here.
That dress is divine. I am going to go buy one and I don’t even have a baby to put in it.
The pic with your UPS driver is priceless! You probably made his day!
Laughed out loud when I saw the phone dump photo of you with the UPS guy! Too cute! So, so, so looking forward to your book. Congrats–and Happy Weekend!
Love the phone dump picture of Nella standing on the dresser, looking in the mirror.
I’m with those above commenting because I LOVE that you took a picture with the UPS delivery guy.
CAN’T WAIT TO GET MY COPY OF BLOOM!!
Nothing cuter than a little one in a cute bathing suite!

Way to go, Nella, stacking those blocks! That’s quite a feat! Kiss your brain! My grandson, Josh, has Down Syndrome and when we tell him how smart he is, we add, “kiss you brain”. He, then, kisses his palm and brings it to his forehead. Too cute!
Ooh, what brand is that Target dress?
hello! Happy weekend to you too!! Love all the photos of the girls!
Tree fairies…yes please! SO imaginative! Dress-yes; adorable! Love it!
I absolutely love your blog. I enjoy taking a break from studying to read it, almost never fails to put me in a happy sunshine-y mood even while it’s grey and snowy here. Also, your kids are always dressed super cutely. Happy weekend to you too!
I have to say, the photo of you and the UPS guy made me tear up a little bit.
Love your blog! Thanks for being part of my life.
That dress adorable. What is the brand? Their site doesn’t show it, so I will have to search.
Looks like fun. A relaxing weekend of soccor game and beach awaits me.
Happy weekend!
Target is pretty magic like that.
I think our Target in Australia is a little different, I’ve never seen clothes like that in ours!!
I love that photo of you and Brett. So rare on here, I hope you have more that you don’t share, I know I should take more photos of us together. I keep meaning to have a photo shoot as we didn’t have a professional photographer at our wedding (we had a surprise wedding so it was all very casual!) but now I’ve decided to grow my hair out (for the first time in 18 years) I’m feeling a little daggy, so it’ll have to wait again.
oh my, that dress is from target?! i must go there now!
haha. cute pic of you and the ups guy..
Love that little dress !!
love the dress! Fiona just stacked her first block this past week. We are only able to do a two block tower, but we are getting there! π Happy weekend
LOVE this post. and LOVE that you got a pic with the UPS driver when your book came. You Rock, Kelle!
Loving the picture of you with Mr. Hampton. Sweetness.
Ha! Is that a picture of you with your UPS man?! I love it!
Happy weekend! Love the tree-chandelier, it deserves a chair like this below it:

Crazy expensive, but a girl can always dream ….
Love, Love your blue boots with the green skirt!!! Happy weekend!!! Go have adventure!!
Oh no you didn’t! A photo with the UPS man! I didn’t think it was possible to love you more. Ha!
I just love seeing Nella walks. Makes me smile every time I see a pic of her walking around! And that last pic of her in the bathing suit? Adorable!
I have completely fallen in love with Nella, Lainey, You & the way life is celebrated daily at the Hampton House!! I’ve been moved by Nella’s precious face/story to go to work with special needs children! Whatever it takes…..volunteering, more college…..I have been feeling like I want to make a difference somewhere!!! I can NOT see myself sitting behind a desk, punching numbers anymore!! Nella has helped me decide….I have sooooo much love to give to children that need it!! Thank you!! π
Lainey’s such a doll.
Look at your “the bus” post Lainey use to do the same thing with her toes. So cute!

Happy Spring to you too, dear Kelle!
Way to go, Nella! She is a block-stacking rockstar π Can she come teach my son how to do that? Haha π He has no interest in stacking blocks, although I’m hoping it’s less to do with ability and more to do with being a boy who likes seeing things crash!
Your daughters are precious. They look so much like you. And the picture of Nella not wanting to be put down is simply adorable, sweet. Blessings.

Just found your blog today….what a fun blog you have…and such a beautiful family!!
Oh my… what an absolutely gorgeous blog you have! Quite jealous of your impromptu beach trip, not much chance of that here in the rainy UK! Looking forward to reading more x
Love it: the dress, the girls, the impromptu beach visit, the waves and the two of you together (yeah, and I also love the hat!) – looks like fab, fab, fab times.
Happy times π
I’ve had a totally swell weekend too, love everything about it π
Thanks for sharing!
I’ve been reading your blog for so long, yet I’m still completely in awe of how much you love all the little wonderful details in life that so many miss! It serves me as such a great reminder on my down days and something to strive for the rest of the time. Even if one of your posts has touched me so much that I’ve cried (and they have and I have), I always leave your blog smiling. Can’t wait to read that book of yours!
You are truly like a role model to me. I love your appreciation for small things, your love for your girls and your general love of life. Thanks for always leaving me inspired π
Happy weekend to you too, my lovely!

CUte photos, as always!
Lainey is so pretty!

Another wonderful post! But, I MUST know…WHERE DID YOU GET THAT HAT?! The one you are wearing in the picture with Brett? Love it! Also, that dress Nella is wearing…TO DIE FOR : )
For everyone asking about the dress. I found it today in Target, it’s Gwen Stefani’s new line Harajuku Mini. Unfortunately, they only had the dress up to 18 months size I but I settled on a shirt that had a similar pattern. Adorable post as always π
The picture of Nella standing alone about to walk into the ocean is AWESOME. Because it’s Nella, BY HERSELF, walking into the ocean! So wonderful. I am almost exactly a year behind you on my journey with my Cate – and I cannot wait to have that picture. Nella has been so inspirational to me!
i ADORE the picture of Nella in her “don’t put me down” pose… it is priceless. and the last picture of this post… Nella in her suit standing ALL BY HERSELF at the waer’s edge…. doubly priceless.

Have you heard of Lauren Alaina? She is a 17 year old singer who adores working with children with special needs. I found this video of her singing at a concert where she randomly had a girl join her on stage, and I thought you might enjoy it. π She is a great role model for young girls (and really adults as well!) Wouldn’t it be great if more people in the world were like this?!

i cried when i saw nella STANDING in the water. i mean, i’ve been seeing the posted pics of her walking and standing everywhere else, but something about the water, in her precious swim suit, and it coming full circle to her standing on the beach got me! precious. and i love lainey’s expression…where does she get that from? π
We call that look Lainey is making, “Lizzard Eyes”! You know the one I mean! π
Congratulations, my friend, on the book! I cannot wait to read it. So glad I stumbled upon your blog all those many moons ago, and so glad that you are still rockin’ exactly the same vibe that you were when I first stumbled upon it. Even though you are a now a bestselling-author-to-be (hey, it’s a given it’ll fly off the shelves!), I know you will still make sure you enjoy the heck out of the small things and remain true to yourself. Love to you all from across the pond.
Is that you with the UPS guy? Can you imagine what it would be like to have a job that can bring happiness to someone’s day just by ringing the doorbell? I always thought it would be awesome to be a delivery driver for a florist, but now we can add UPS driver to my list. You know he went home that night and told his wife, family, & friends about the lady who was SO excited by the package he delivered she had to take a picture with him. You made his day just as much as he made yours! Congrats on the book. π
Love when I have my husband read a post and he looks at the pictures of Nella with tears and hope in his eyes!
I know you get so many comments so I hesitate to make one more for you to read…but I’ve been so incredibly impressed with you and of course ordered your book. I am a mom of 8 children – 7 daughters and 1 set of twins. My children range from 29 to 17. One of my twins has a sweet daughter that is 2. On Feb 23rd she delivered a baby girl at 35 weeks. She named the baby Eliza. Eliza has Down Syndrome. We were shocked but not devastated. I have had a quilting blog since 2008. I posted about Eliza and one of my readers sent me to your blog. I’m so grateful she did. We are so hungry for good things to see about sweet little babies and children with Downs. So grateful to you for your blog. My whole family and extended family are reading it. You have such an influence. Thank you.
I just started reading your blog. I find it very inspiring. Thank you!
Love that cute little dress! I think Heaven is just a massive Target with an unlimited supply of money to spend. At least that is what mine looks like π
awesome dress. had to have it..here is a link to the dress π

Gorgeous pictures! Thanks for sharing π
I loved the special outfit you wore on your special “book receiving” day. You rocked it in so many ways that day. And if that’s an Instagram picture of you and the UPS man who delivered the book, hilarious. Seriously though, congratulations girl! What a day.
Hi Kelle,
I love your blog. You have a beautiful family, God bless you all. I am a mother of five currently living in the Great NW, and KONY 2012 was brought to my attention yesterday. I have never felt more inspired to be a part of a greater cause. Perhaps you can post about it as well. <3
Love this! Your girls are precious! Your photography is exceptional.
Your daughters are lucky to have such wonderful and loving parents.
