Special Day

April 2, 2008 By Kelle

To My Cubby:

Today was special. We played dress-up while it rained outside, and I pinched myself the entire time wondering what I did to deserve this happiness. Having you just changes everything… while it rains outside, it’s always a sunny dress-up day when you’re with me. I wish I could have stopped time during those moments today or at least bottled it up so I can open it whenever I want to. When the last of the hats and tutus was cleaned up, you yawned, had a bottle and fell asleep. I shut your door, quietly tip toed to the office so I could look at the pictures and as soon as the first one popped up, tears streamed down my face. You are so special. And today was a very special day.
Love,
Mommy

Two words for you: Fievel Mouskewitz. If they ever redo The American Tale, I’m so taking her to the casting call. “Somewhere out there…beaneath the pale moon light…”

What a precious dress up doll…I can remember giving you one of those little cut out dress up dolls when you were a little girl–now you have your own. She is so adorable, I could dip her in chocolate and nibble on her ears for hours…but I won’t–I promise. Thanks for sharing your day and I can’t wait ’til the tenth to see her…and Lily!

Dress up days are the best…many a time I can remember toting my girls to the grocery store in plastic heels with purple rhinestones and a feather boa! Love everyone of them…I have to look in the cupboard but I think I have one of the Fievel movies!!!
