I’ll take “Toilet Paper Friend” for $300, Alex

August 13, 2008 By Kelle

i’ve been asked on several occasions lately what my favorite age is, and the answer, without hesitation, is right now. and i know i say that every time, but this time, i really, really mean it. hence the excessive posts lately. the way she is discovering her world right now and the cute things she does to show it is so phenomenal. like, exponential growth charts on her wit, her smarts, her humor, and her cute lately. i’ll turn my head to see what she’s doing, and the next thing you know, i’ve grabbed my camera and i’m slithering across the floor following her for the next half hour, shooting her every move. i want to capture every bit of cute she has.

today, it was the toilet paper. she found a roll and fell in love. like it was her best friend…kissed it, hugged it, walked with it, tucked it under one arm while she scooted across the floor with it, unrolled it, stuffed little nick-nacks down the tube, wrapped the dog in it. it went on for 20 minutes. oh, and unbeknownst to us…she knows how to blow her nose with it.

…enjoying the her things. ~k

    smiling…this age is THE BOMB.

it’s the exact age Savannah was when I peeked in on her during naptime…she’d gotten into my makeup (which was on my dresser near her crib – we were living with Bubby and Dahna) and it was EVERYWHERE. I still have the onesie. She was ALL SMILES. like she knew what she’d just done…obviously very proud of her work.

oh, they just come to life at this age! SOAK IT UP!!

This is by far my favorite post yet! I love the toilet paper game she created! If only we could hear their thoughts! Love the final picture…like she is so proud of what she has accomplished with that stuff! Loving the swarm of posts, too!

I SWEAR…they turn one…and after that…every age feels like the BEST age.

I still say that to myself about both of my “babies”… and have for the past 11 years. It never ends!!!

I say my favorite age is “right now” too because whatever she’s doing I just love and enjoy so much and can’t believe there’s more to come!! But then the next day that is my favorite age!!

Why do I think you’ll have a scrapbook page entitled “Toilet Paper Caper” heading to a scrapbook near you!! lol

Bliss. Pure bliss. This should be a Charmin ad…I can hear the music and see the cinematography…following her as she clutches her new found friend and works her mastery. Ah….she is truly gifted…with tissue.

i am totally owning up to the fact that i sound like a stalker…but,
my cora (born 5/3/07) and her would have TOO much fun together!
she is so into discovering things too! we have been playing the food game and the belly button game…we haven’t tried toilet paper yet…(oh wait…she unrolled an ENTIRE roll last week…does that count? i didn’t grab my camera…)
and yeah! with walking…we’ve just started motoring on two these last few weeks as well!
maybe this is why i love to catch up on your blog! another mommy with a baby just about the same age. we have things in common…
and here ends my stalking comment.

I love the new banner. That’s it. No long message. Surprised? You thought I couldn’t just write a couple words. Wrong! I can. And someday I will. I promise. Goodnight. Dear daughter. And her daughter. And her men. Goodnight.
