Enjoying…
Evening Writing Sessions.
I have my beloved $10 Craigslist desk out in the open where I can work during the day and still be with the girls. Where a bookshelf stacked with puzzles and paper dolls replaces cubicle walls and I can, at any given moment, slide off my red chair to lie on the floor for a game of Memory. I love that space. But, I am finding that sometimes I need to be alone. I need a cubicle maybe just once a week. So, Brett rigged up this jankety card table with some crappy polyester table cloth in our bedroom. And though I sit on a rusted folding chair and am surrounded by a pile of bills and sippy cups that have managed to accumulate on the home’s newest catch-all, it’s perfect for me. It’s quiet. And right about 6:00, the sun gives a recital every night…just dances there in that vast space of glass door stretched before me and curtsies behind that mess of trees.
Bravo.
Halloween Candy.
I’m going to quit eating it pretty soon, I am.
We hid it in Austyn’s room, in the third drawer down in his dresser, to keep Lainey from seing it. But, then I find myself sneaking into his room in the dark while he’s sleeping and pulling out the drawer to stuff a stash of mini Twizzlers and jolly ranchers into my nightgown. Our neighbor came over last night and, ten minutes into conversation, he goes, “You okay? You seem really hyper.”
It’s called trial-sized Almond Joys, Dude.
Playing Pretend.
Three-and-a-half is magic with Imagination peaking at this blessed Peter-Pan-ish place where everything is just so…childhood. Little voices and tiny plays performed with bath toys and trinkets and lots of asking for “let’s play pretend.” We run for cover in the afternoon, under blankets and pillows, hiding from pretend storms that shake the house and we tightrope across cracks in the sidewalk lest we fall in the shark-infested waters of the deep cement.
I used to want to be a child forever. Now, in loving this place, I want to have a child forever. And, believe me, it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer for our family. And that’s perfectly alright.
Gingham Things.
Happy little checks, they are.
Fallish Things.
Like wheat-colored stars in the back yard.
Or pretty little embellishments that take all the color of crisp, fallen leaves and up the ante on a plain tank.

Flower Clip, Lilian Eve.
Sock Feet.
And Bare Feet in October.
Having a lot on my plate, but dropping it all for moments like these…
Free Things.
So, I’ve already expressed my love for the lillebaby EveryWear Organic carrier which I use with Nella all the time and without, could not have trekked across four states and three layovers with two kids last month. So, when Scandinavian Child offered to send me a diaper bag by the same brand, I was thrilled. I’m constantly swapping bags between the few cheap pocket-less ones I’ve managed to collect, but they all end up lying somewhere with a wad of gum, a few tubes of capless lipstick and a mess of crumpled receipts.
No longer, my friends.
Totally loving my lillebaby Oslo bag which is chocked full of cool pockets and zippers making life so much easier. It attaches perfectly to my stroller with these great snap straps. And, hello…it comes in red.
You too can rock out an organized diaper bag! One random commenter on this post will win a lillebaby Oslo diaper bag courtesy of Scandinavian Child.
So, yay.
Winner will be announced Friday evening.
Happy Mid-week!

Oh my goodness I love the new header! They are just adorable.

I am loving Nella in the high white socks!
The Hallowe’en candy is not safe in this household either.
Great bag Kelle! Red does make even the most ordinary item seem so exotic I think π
Beautiful update as always, can’t wait for the next!

I love love love the picture of your girls reading…Nella is so enthralled by the story her big sister is reading! Adorable!
What a wonderful fall day! And that header is so darn cute!
This post is so beautiful. π
Loved to be entered..I’m a diaperbag-aholic..:)
ooo I would love a new diaper bag! love the red!
you are a beautiful soul.
Your pictures are amazing! Love the bare feet one!
Love it! Red is fantastic. I’ve had the same diaper bag for both kiddos and am in dire need of a change. Momma needs a new bag…la la la.
drvance19@gmail.com
HECK YES!! I need some organization in the form of a diaper bag. My Grandma brought candy over today for our kids…um they are 3 months and 22 months. So my husband has graciously volunteered to eat it all.
Once again…a beautiful post!
Love the sock feet! As the weather cools in Chicago they are becoming a regular sight around here – I had not remembered how different their little knees look when there are socks on their feet!
Also loving the bag – expecting our third in April and it would be a great way to organize for preschooler/toddler/newborn all in once place. π
I’d LOVE a new red diaper bag for my new baby!
That gingham topped jam is ThE bEsT! Had it on an English muffin this morning all the way up here in Kentucky!! π
Lainey’s dimples are just about the cutest thing ever. Aaaaannndd I could really use a diaper bag. *wink*
I have to agree, the header is fantastic. Your little mouse and cat look adorable. They win the best costumes for halloween, I say.
Oh, if only i could be barefoot in october. It is getting cold cold cold over here, but with that just brings lots of other things to do like hot coco, snowmen and days under blankets watching chistmas movies.
Lainey seems like a girl who could come up with the best imaginary world possible. I’ve always been like that too, and now more than ever do I wish I could escape to that pretend place of wonder now. I think no matter how old you are, you can always express your imagination somehow, and should do it freely! Playing pretend with a child just makes you look a lot more saner than doing it alone!
Have a great rest of the week, kelle!
I’m hoping and praying the extra little something lets us keep childhood a little longer too!
Halloween candy has invaded here too π And the day-after candy sale? It fully launches a hostile takeover. No doubt about that π
In other words, your comments regarding wanting to stay a child forever, made me think of what one of my best friend’s used to say, “Why waste your childhood life wanting to be grown-up?”
Loving the small things. They add adventure and excitement to an ordinary day.
I am loving the header with the girls in their costumes! So adorable. I just posted pics of my little Dorothy and Alice in Wonderland on my blog:)Just one more reason that I love fall! Also,I am in love with your wedges…so hot!Happy Mothering!
I want the diaper bag not for myself, but for one of the young mamas at work. It would replace a handy plastic Walmart bag.
Peter pan moments are my favorite!!
Do you carry your camera around with you ALL day! Thinking about a third baby, so yes I could use some organization.
That new header is perfectly adorable! Love it! Even the simplest of pictures you take are breathtaking! Thanks for sharing!
Ohmygosh that diaper bag is awesome!!!! I love the green dress you have on while modeling the bag. π So pretty!!
You have such beautiful girls! And I have to say that I loved what you wrote about wanting to have a child forever. How true is that? You make me want to play with my kids more!
I am loving the picture of your girls reading on the floor – such a beautiful, quiet moment. I am also loving your new header – the pictures of Nella chewing Lainey’s tail is to die for!
I love your blog! Your girls are gorgeous, and you write beautifully. Thanks for sharing your story with us.
We have the same thing going on at our home too but involving a 2 year old and his love for everything blues clues and how that will fly around in the wonder pets fly boat that we have… And I have the same problem about all my diaper bags.. Pick me… i could use a new one and one that will last and be what we need…

Love the bag, and would love to have one, but I would also like to have your awesome pink wedges. HOT!
I’d love a new red really cute diaper bag for my next baby due in a few months! Thanks for offering it!
Love your new header!!
I love the gingham diaper cover! Super cute. As well as the bare feet in October. There was snow here today. Sadly I think bare feet may be done for the year here π
Your enjoying the small things are some of my favorite posts. There is just so much to enjoy! I love the pictures, as always. Lovely red diaper bag; I could really use one of those!
You always seem to make my day a little bit better. Tonight has been a horrible night but reading your blog has made me realize that life’s too short…
the halloween candy has been haunting me too, i can’t get enough, pretty soon i’m gonna look like a reese’s if i don’t stop eating ’em!
Love all of the pics and the red bag. So cute!
My best friend just had her sweet baby boy 4 weeks early (perfectly healthy, thank godness!) – but, in true procrastinator style, she had all the “big stuff” done, but none of the “stuff” stuff. I would love, love to fill this with sweet little baby necessities for her! (like how she’s TALL – and never anticipated him being so tiny, didn’t buy any newborn-sized anything!)
loving the diaper bag … how nice it would be to have no excuse to not be organized with that bag!
My little 3 1/2 yr old is living in the land of make believe also. Not a day goes by that I don’t stop and breathe in those moments and wish I could forget everything else in the world and focus only on being a princess in the backyard.
Love your pictures, your words, and your inspiration.
Love the header! Love the bag! Love that fall is here!
(However I dislike the howling wind that I feel is threatening to blow over my house right now.
I am such a receipt hoarder!!! I don’t mean to be, but our diaper bag is full of them…and a giant rip in the inside π A new one, that would help me organize, would be wonderful!!!
i love love love the diaper bag. the last thing i want is one with pooh on it.
and your new header gave me butterflies. it’s perfect
Baby #2 is coming in January….which definitely calls for a brand new diaper bag! Yea!
Beautiful family…and beautiful pictures. Love reading your blog and being inspired by the small things. And, really the love the bag too. Happy Fall!
Can’t get over the halloween costumes. Love Nella chewing on Lainey’s tail. And thanks for reminding me that because one of my lovies needs in a more special kind of way we get to keep her little for a while longer. Talk about a blessing in disguise.
I love that flower you are wearing and that bag. Socked feet are so sweet and the checkers just kill me. I love it all!
hope this doesnt sounds stalkerish, dont worry i live is aus LOL
but i love your life…i look at your picutres and i hope one day i have a beautiful family like you with a gorgeous home, and fun holidays.
LOVE the bag, but I honestly love your chairs more. If you gave those away, I would BEG like you have never heard before. I LOVE them!
Love to see Lainey and Nella on the floor reading together. Children are amazing!
This mama, who stopped working to stay at home with the new daughter, could really use a diaper bag. We moved out desk into our bedroom so I can get school work done… but I drop things to get down on the floor to play too. Papers can wait π
This post made me smile. Thanks for letting me peek at your days π
My daughter is also getting into pretend play and it so fun! PS I would love a new diaper bag!
Your girls are so presh, as always. Neverland in your home seems like a magical, beautiful place.
And the bag? LOVE the red!
okay so loved this post as usual but i will highlight 3 of my faves from today…1) the fact that use the word “jankety”…love that word. 2) that you said “wife-beater”. 3) those plum cork wedges…LOVE!!
happy Fall π
-Kelly
You inspire me to spend more time with my little guy, take more pictures, and blog more often to record my life. Thank you.
Love the sock feet.. and I just love Pedipeds π and I have the same shoes you are wearing in the yard.. Nine West? Cute Post… Now put the candy down.. Walk away… you can do it π
I love your blog, thank you for sharing like you do.
PS – Love the bag too! I am a sicker for bags…and carriers!
Love this. I totally understand the sweet siren call of Halloween candy!

your girls are adorable! thanks for sharing.
Been offline for over a week, thoroughly enjoying catching up on all the inspiring posts…you make the ordinary extra-ordinary, love it!
I love that diaper bag. I also LOVE Nella’s shoes. Where did you get them?
I love the new header. Your blog makes me smile.
love the little ones in their costumes! I also have a 3.5 yo and she could live in her costume. Hers will be out well past Halloween. She alternates between bumble bee and chicken costumes!
I’m loving the way your girls look at each other as well as your pictures!! The photos are particularly breathtaking tonight!!
So I have an idea about getting 13 year olds to read your comments. I teach 8th grade and use the student bathroom (ah, the humbling parts of being a public school educator:), and the girls write some not-very-nice things about each other, and I thought, What if Kelle Hampton and Dove made posters of the comments of what all the gals would say to their 13 year old self!!??
That post really touched me, and I wrote about beauty/confidence/anxiety and raising daughters tonight in my blog, and gave you the props for getting my mind on it. I’d be so honored if you read it; it would be sort of like when Ellen bugged the shit out of oprah until she got on her magazine cover if you read it and added your 2 cents:) you are Oprah caliber, of course;)
omg, the picture of the girls reading together just made me melt. they are going to be best friends. =]
I would love to win that red bag!! That picture with Nella’s legs in the air are so adorable!
Love the new header! Mmmm Halloween candy… I also made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies yesterday with my girls, and they have been screaming my name as loudly as they shout, “it’s fall! enjoy the pumpkin goodness!” π
I am addicted to your blog and I would tell you that I loved it even if there wasn’t a give away involved:)
WOO HOO! Hump day giveaways!
I loveee the bag!
As always your pics and words are so inspiring
Thank you Kelle!
I love the little maryjanes that Nella was wearing they are just too adorable! I love your posts/blog!! xoxo to you and the girls π
My dog just ate my diaper bag in an effort to get to a bag of fruit snacks within. Seriously. This red one would make me less mad at him. π
Just recently discovered your blog… love the stories, photography, and open and honest way you write.
Thank you.
Kelle – Your girls are beautiful. I love to stop by and look at the wonderful pictures you take. The music is the perfect touch! Your a true inspiration to other mothers.
Enjoying your little things in this post–the last pic of Lainey, the cool wheat colored star things (what are those?), and Nella enjoying a good story from the big sis.
And enjoying mine–foam letters and numbers that my little man loves (even if it’s just to chew on for now), him shaking his head “no” when you ask if he wants something to drink…and he doesn’t, and the conversations that we have even though I have no clue what he is saying (he’s one).
Thanks for reminding us to simply open our eyes.
Love the photo of Lainey reading to Nella.
Would love that diaper bag.
A new (not to mention freebie!) diaper bag to play with would take the bite out of this SNOW in October.
Seriously.
Brr.
Absolutely love this post! The part about Peter Pan warms my heart, as does your blog! You and your family are amazing and so is that red bag π
oh yes puhlease!! thank you so much for the opportunity!
I lovvvve to win a diaper bag. My hubby and I are adopting and we don’t have one yet!
I love your girls. I’ve been following your blog since Nella was born…My baby had health problems shortly after he was born in Jan. We’d love to win the Diaper bag! Always needing one…esp. with 7 little people around to need momma to carry stuff.
my blog is: joybell74.blogspot.com
I’m finally commenting, and not only stalking your glorious blog. Thank you for sharing your stories, family, lovely pictures and music. I loved the Carnitas recipe. I will be making it again. Winner. Thanks!
Beautiful pictures as always! Happy Wednesday!
Love the Halloween costumes. Your girls are just so cute! I love all the baby feet pics. I just got my first pair of slippers for my little guy 2 weeks ago from my mother in law. She didn’t quite know what to think when I burst into tears just thinking about those tiny little feet π
Love the new header (and everything else)
When I came on here there were 72 comments. After reading your post, there are now 86 comments. Wow. I love your blog, Kelle! Thank you for sharing your life with the world! π
So SO cute pics (yet again!) I love your amazing blog, it re-energizes me π
I just sat here and finished off a handful of Halloween candy. I have no chance against all that chocolate yumminess!
The new header is absolutely ADORABLE!!!
Dang, my original comment didn’t go through for some reason. Anyway, love when you do an “enjoying the small things” post.
Jill B (Overland Park, KS)

Love the new header! So adorable!
OMG! Your header just made me squee! out loud. ♥
And you amaze me. Period. I read every post you write and have since I was first introduced to your blog. Blesssings mama!
My rule of thumb for purse buying? If it comes in red, buy it. It’s a beautiful (and dangerous) rule to live by.
Happy fall to you and your sweet family!
I love the fall, but looking at the fall weather in your area makes it appear so much more awesome. Warm, but not too hot… But still great!!!
Cute kiddos, per usual.
oh and ps… to continue my above comment… i did say i dont have kids… but i will say id totally sport this bag without kids! thats a killer bag for my daily organizational needs– class- work– life.
I just found out i am having twins!! I need this bag!!!
Had to laugh at your sneaking into the room to get the Halloween candy….sounds so familiar! Funny how we find ourselves doing this!
I love the little glimpses of your home we get in your pictures. Someday, I would like a photo tour to get all the pieces together! Happy midweek…your post made it brighter!
love those diaper bags! hope i win!
I purposely don’t buy the chocolate mix bag of Halloween candy because I will eat all the Almond Joys in about 5 minutes flat. Seriously.
The small things are a big deal! That’s what life is made up of!
Also, LOVE the pink heels!
You look so amazing!
What a great post π
I love:
-Nella’s sock feet
-Nella’s mary jane feet

-Laney’s lovely little self
-Your whole sweet family!
Thank you for lifting my spirits – as your posts + photography always do – on this chilly Autumn night π
i love your blog! to say im addicted is an understatement, i’ve been reading since nella’s birth. i’m an early intervention physical therapy student and watching nella rock out that tummy time and sit up all by herself always makes me smile.
anyway, your post entry today reminded me of the taylor swift song ‘never grow up’. i think you’ll like the sentiment!
thank you for all the smiles you’ve brought to me while studying, nella reminds me to keep trekking! π
I’ll admit it, I never comment on your blog, but I love that bag and want to win it to give to a very special friend. I’m crossing my fingers. Oh and I love the new header, the pictures of the girls are very cute.
I love the new header too. They couldn’t get much cuter! Reminds me when my little girlie was a kitty many years ago.
Love, love, love tiny “socked” feet! I had my daughter the same month as Nella and I love watching them grow “together”! I adore Lainey and her playing pretend! Such a fun age!
I have about 4 filthy pocket-less bags I tried converting into diaper bags laying around my house too! Have yet to try out the organized approach! Sounds wonderful!
Happy Fall from Ohio!

um, the last photo of Lainey is so precious. her little smile with that adorable dimple. *sigh*
and whoa, Nella is crazy flexible! looove it!
I love Fall, it’s kind of a sleepy time. All I want to do is make recipes with pumkins! My little Vivian who has Ds too is also a black kitty this year. She loves wering her costume, and even keeps the ears on. Especially after I showed her what is looks like in the mirror. Life is getting sweeter everyday with my littles. I look forward to reading your blog when they are napping!
I check my reader often, always hoping there will be a new post from you, helping me to slow down and savor every moment of life. Would love the Red bag so I could be ready for my 2 month old grandsom!!
I can’t find a decent diaper bag, either! Fall has hit MT, and it is cold up here!! You should come back to visit in the winter!
I love the desk in your room–especially the fact that it collects stuff! That always happens to any new surface at our house, too.
The handmade cat and mouse turned out great. I love Nella biting Lainey’s tail.
526 days. That’s how long my pay-down-college ticker has left on it until “I can afford to have a baby”, I tell my friends. And if I can be half the mother you are Ms. Kelle – well then, life would be just swell. Loving your entrance to Fall, and loving that superb diaper bag!
love love love the new header…too cute! and i, like you, am quite excited about staying in neverland longer because of our sweet maggie rae π and i love nella’s little mary janes…what brand?
4 years later and I’m still using my free ugly diaper bag from the hospital. π
Oh my gosh, what a dreamy diaper bag! I would die. Thanks so much for the chance to win!
I’m a new reader to your blog and love love love it. You have such a way with words and they touch my soul. Plus, your Lainey Love and little Nella make my heart flutter. The diaper bag looks fab and I would def like to be entered. I have been alternating between a book bag with no pockets, and a plain jane messenger bag…neither of them actual diaper bags. π
I just love the pic of your two adorable girls reading a book together. That diaper bag looks awsome, wouldn’t mind one of those at my house.
Love love the one of nellaa with her legs up π My little guy just started doing that and I get such a kick out of it! Ohhh how I love how positive you are! Your blog gets me ready for a new day thx!!!
LOVE the picture with the two of the girlies reading the book. And the one of them in the grass with your feet. Thanks for always keeping the joy of parenthood alive in your posts!
Thanks for sharing your joy with us–I love reading about your precious girls! That bag looks great!
I have stopped buying Halloween candy until the day of- it works for the most part! I love the bag and the green dress!
I love that you love that Peter may just stay longer in your house! And, that red bag would be perfect to hang on the back of my wheelchair! It frees the hands for other things! Hugs ~ Jo

Also, I *never* buy the Halloween candy until Oct 31 exactly. Otherwise we’ll eat it all!
loving the new header! cute little cat & mouse
Love the new header and love that nappy bag! It’s gorgeous!!
I absolutely love your blog. Any time I need a precious photo to boost my mood, yours is the blog I read, even if I’m rereading posts I’ve read the day before. Thank you for being my ray of sunshine!
Love the costumes..too too cute! And love the diaper bag too!
Love those little sock feet straight up in the air! Love that diaper bag too!
I love the new pics on the header. The spontaneous ‘bite’ of the tail cracks me up. I guess it was just too close not to grab!
Could that header be any cuter? My goodness, I’m in love!
Love the last picture of Lainey Love and I’d love a diaper bag for my little one on the way!
Oh Peter Pan and Neverland…for some reason that just keeps popping up everywhere in my life right now haha. but I’m not complaining. I like it.
Love the enjoying the small things
Oh I just love seeing your pictures and updates! Also, love your taste in music. Every morning when my daughter (8 months on the 4th) and I get home from dropping daddy off at work, I plop her in her high chair with some cheerios and I come to your blog so we can listen to your play list while welcoming Mr.Sunshine to the day, enjoying breakfast together and sipping on coffee. Every morning, Monday-Friday and sometimes on the weekends when we are making daddy a special breakfast while he sleeps in! I love your blog – You have been such an inspiration to me! Thank you.
Kelle,
few people allow honesty to shine & you are a star
Your blog makes me so happy!

Nella’s smile lights up the world!! π
Love the pictures! Love the bag!
I commented on your facebook page, but I will ask here in care you read this first. What is the name of the pig in the picture with Nella? I can’t believe how big she is getting. Have you heard a dada or mama yet from her?
Happy almost weekend!!!!
Nella’s tootsies up in the air make me happy happy happy! π
My favorite photo: Lainey with her imaginary friends.

Your pictures always inspire me! And I have a new grandchild coming in April – that bag would be a lovely gift for our daughter as she waits for #3 to arrive. Thanks for sharing!
You know it’s funny, I’ve been reading your blog for a bit, and I sort of feel like I know you. I usually read it through my blog reader, so I never heard the music I guess. But when I heard it today I was like oh yeah that sounds like her! haha! I love it.

Thanks for writing such a great blog that inspires me!
xx
OMG love the new header – and those fuchsia wedges!!!
Halloween is starting to take off in Australia (which I have mixed feelings about) but I had no idea chocolate was an acceptable treat! I have a bag of gummy eyeballs stashed in case we get trick or treaters but next year I will know better and get in mini chocolates.
Always love dropping in to catch up on how your little ones are doing. Love the cat and mouse…
oh yay! a giveaway!!!

What a cool looking bag! And you’re rocking that orange lipstick! woo!

That last photo of Lainey is beautiful. As always enjoying you, enjoying the little things!
Oh gosh. You have the most beautiful children! And I ADORE that bag!
your blog is one of the small things i enjoy π every night when our house has quieted down i sneak into the office to catch a glimmer of your little life and a little inspiration to be a better me………i know things arent always perfect and “we” dont see all the other “stuff” but the parts were do see are magical……….
so what is in your bag of joy???? a few extra laffy taffys from the tricker treat stash?? π thanks for the love you share!!

OMG I can’t take the cuteness. Thank you allowing me to realize Colbie will get there. Much love to you and your girls.
Love it all!
I was changing my little magic chromosomed baby tonight and noticed how easily her legs reached up to her belly. She just folds right up like a rubber band. The picture of Nella sitting up with her feet turned inward, completely flat to the floor made me laugh. That’s flexibilty, baby. Cute and funny trait to have.
http://teal915.blogspot.com/
So, I’m only fifteen years old and I stumbled upon your blog somehow. I check every so often and catch up on all your posts and I’ve come to a conclusion. If and when I have a family, I want it to be like yours… full of love. I think there’s a difference between living and being alive and you seem to be living. You’re inspiring and exactly the kind of mom who I hope to be someday. Sometimes I can’t wrap my head around how something can be so full of flaws yet entirely perfect which is what the world is, yet you’re one of the greatest examples of it. You’re just great, that’s all. I appreciate your blog and what it’s taught me- to love. That’s all, that’s it, that’s all we really need. To just love.
For that I thank you and I’m praying this comment doesn’t come off as creepy but even more so, I pray you read this and just know that you’ve inspired someone (but I’m sure I’m not the only one).
Thanks, and keep on keepin’ on! π
Love it! Love the bag, Love the blog, Love the pictures!

R.a.n.D.O.M.
LOVE the new header =)
Love your lovely littles! π
This is my favorite favorite FAVORITE thing you have ever said on your blog. It’s just amazing to me how you capture feelings and translate them into words. Please put this in your book! π
“I used to want to be a child forever. Now, in loving this place, I want to have a child forever. And, believe me, it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer for our family. And that’s perfectly alright.”
-Jenny in Iowa
I’ve eaten every single last Almond Joy that came in the Coscto mega pack of candy…and each time I snuck one I hid the evidence deep in the trash. If my 3 year old saw candy wrappers….well, I dont need to tell you!
love your blog. Thank you for being a continuous inspiration.

The scene with scattered, pocket-less, sorry-excuses-for-diaper-bags sounds all too familiar…especially the random lipsticks and crumpled receipts. Story of my life! Your blog has inspired me to start writing again. Thank you!

I logged on yesterday and was enthrilled by your new header, it is gorgeous! I Love Gingham or as we call it in SA check clothing. My little girl is 4 and she is so into fantasy play, what bothers me is that she prefers fantasy play to playing with other children but that is exactly how I was a child. I found the part of you going into Austin’s draw at night hillarious :-). Love the pics you posted as usual, totally in awe!! Romaine(South Africa)

reading very early in the am while still curled upunder the covers… I needef some inspiration to get out in to the cold and get my day started before my girls start it for me. Thanks for giving me just what I needed!! Can’t explain how tough things have been lately but I will keep trying to “enjoy the small things”
We have been praying for a baby for so long, but maybe if I win this bag, the baby will come…. π
I, too, am a Mommy to a little 3 and half year old princess and an almost 2 year old princess. The candy wrappers made me giggle because at this age, I have become quite apt at sneaking little tasty morsels into my mouth without allowing two sets of eyes to see me. Sometimes I get caught and am asked, “Mommy, what is in your mouth…open your mouth so I can see.” Makes me realize who really is in charge, and I would not have it any other way. Yet, there has to be a better way then sneaking into the laundry to “fold more clothes” so I can have another Reeses cup! Goodness, do I love my little ladies!
My little one is all about the imaginary play too. I love the little voice that transforms into many other little voices as she plays with her stuffed animals and figurines. I. eat. it. up.
I thought of you last night as I was trying to get my brother to realize that he needs to enjoy the treasures of every day; and that includes his 2 little ones. I ttold him that he needs to stick his head out a window in a moving car (obviously suggesting that he’s NOT the one behind the wheel); just to feel the rush of wind on his skin. I got a good laugh for that comment, but seriously, do it!
Hope the sugar detox goes easy on you. Our candy is banished to the car for safekeeping, but now I have 3 boxes of Girl Scout cookies in the house to boot! Geez.
-Jennifer from Annapolis

1) I’ve been meaning to say for a few days that I love your new header!!! Nella biting Lainey’s tail is the cutest thing EVER!!
2)’I used to want to be a child forever. Now, in loving this place, I want to have a child forever. And, believe me, it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer for our family. And that’s perfectly alright.’
Beautiful!
3) Stealing candy from your kids… I so do that!!
4) Nella’s feet are something I just adore. With sock, without. Tan feet, or not. Shoes, no shoes. Darling!I just wanna bite ’em. In a playful way.
5) Lainey’s love for Nella…. precious!
6) Under your bed… looks just like mine. So glad I’m not the only one.
7) Card tables as desks… mine is a long banquet table. Oh the sacrifices. π
I absolutely adore your blog, all your pictures make me smile every day. You are an inspiration and I want to say thank you.
My Halloween candy stash is disappearing quickly too… good thing I bought the extra large bag knowing we would eat some (a lot) before Halloween and knowing that we only get about 8 trick or treaters. π Shhhhhh!!! It’s hidden in the back of my cupboard that houses mixing bowls and the crockpot.
those purple shoes are KILLER!!! People say I’m crazy for being a mom and wearing killer shoes, but there’s something about a great pair while going about your day that just makes everything better. And the jelly fingers on your dress and baby squeals as you turn the corner? Gravy to that awesomely filling Thanksgiving meal. Gravy.
I love how you make having it all look so easy! π Your house, your clothes, everything always looks so put together. Can you come to Michigan and show me how it’s done? π
And, believe me, it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer for our family

So excited to rock out Halloween this whole week with my little bambino! Can’t wait for your Halloween post!
I love coming here when I’m feeling down or grumpy… or at the beginings of a mommy funk. Anyone can tell me how good I have it. And I hear them… but for somereason you know the right way to point it out and pull me out.
Thanks.
And it was great to finially see some mess in your house. I know you say its messy but never really got to see it, for real. I was starting to hate you a little bit for having these pretent messes but then the backgroud of your life always looks pretty pulled together to me. π
Love the new header, and of course the new RED bag. Just gorgeous, and would look even better on my red stroller! π
I like your whole green dress ensemble! From the belt to the shoes, you look fab!
I’d love to win that sweet little bag for all my kiddo’s stuff!
I love posts like these! Inspires me to stop and think of all the things I’m loving right now! I love the picture of Nella and Lainey reading the book- the look of admiration on Nella’s face is beautiful. And, that last picture of Lainey- adorable!!!
I am loving your purple wedges!! Now I am off to grab a kit kat to have with my morning cup of coffee while my little sleeps the morning away. Thanks for the giveaway! That bag is awesome!!

Loved seeing what you are enjoying this week! π Makes me want to be on the lookout for the gingham, embellished, and halloween candy things in my life! Every one of your photos are just stunning… you should be proud, you talented, beautiful lady! π By the way… you are model material. The picture of you with the flower pin… sooo pretty! π
I always thought of myself as organized until I had two little ones. Now I’m lucky to get out the door with shoes on(instead of slippers!) That diaper bag has my name all over it!
2 in diapers! Love it!

love you, love your baby girls, love reading your blog, you are such an inspiration. Bless you!
coming here to see you, your girls and read about all the love in your house just makes me happy. and reminds me to stop and “take it all in” every once in a while. thank you for that! xo
Love the blog! I go to it every day for a little dose of inspiration! thanks so much!
What an amazingly optimistic take on Peter Pan and its relation to your family! Also, where did you get the high socks for Nella? I have been searching all over for socks that my little Lilah can’t pull off as easily in chilly WI!
I love the header!! What a cute combo the girls make for halloween!! The bag is perfect!! π So glad you have something else to love! π
I love the new header – adorable! And I love that bag. I’ve been looking for a new diaper bag for forever and can’t find one I like. Would love to win it!
I’ve eaten a whole bag of Snickers that I had “hidden.” Sigh.
Good luck with that, Kel!
Love reading your blog!!!
Sweet family! It seems like it is candy overload now through Easter!
If this bag holds the secret to organized outings, then I must have it! (And I have to tell you, I’m relieved to see that I’m not the only mama eating all the Halloween candy before the big night even arrives…)
Though somewhat jealous of your view… I love love love your new workspace and am so happy to hear that I’m not the only mom who manages to clutter up any open surface that appears in my house.
Love the new header! So cute!! π
I am so in love with pretty much anything red! That’s a big deal for me because I am a plain jane fo the most part with earth tones or black and white…
oh my goodness only the other day I spied my ideal nappy bag on another mommy in Starbucks, only to be told when I asked her where she got it……….. South Africa! Happens to me EVERY time! So I would love to win your pockety pockety nappy bag π xxx ps i love the new header
Your Blog is Simply Amazing! Your Cat and Mouse couldn’t get any cuter!
Happy Thursday! I love your girls’ Hallowe’en costumes π Well done!
your girls are too cute for words! and i love the way you dress them!
The pic of Nella’s sock feet made me laugh out loud. Man, she’s working those knee-highs.
And i hate to admit it….but I’ve never tasted an Almond Joy. That shocks me, as I’ve never met a candy I didn’t like. I will locate one today…
I love the new masthead – so adorable.
I also love this part of your blog:
‘I used to want to be a child forever. Now, in loving this place, I want to have a child forever. And, believe me, it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer for our family. And that’s perfectly alright.’
Just beautiful. The way you see positives in everything floors me.
Oh my! I love the pictures of your girls in their Halloween costumes!
A beautiful post! Love the series of gingham pictures and the talk of peter pan. And that diaper bag is oh so pretty!
A diaper bag would be awesome….since I am seven weeks pregnant!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll be needing one of those soon π
Love your blog…love your pictures…love your perspective…love your beautiful girls!!
Thanks for sharing!!
Erin
I love the new header! I can’t wait to see more Halloween goodness!
Yah, I am pretty sure we all need the Halloween candy to go away. My only saving grace is that I have had strep the last few days and can’t eat it π I always struggle with diaper bags as you do, nothing ever seems to work. I also love that this one comes in red and think the fact that it attaches to a stroller is fabulous. One less thing to carry!
Happy Thursday.
beautiful post!
I love the picture of your girls reading – so precious!
Kelle, your new header is the best! They are so cute!!
Although my husband and I have only been married for 4 months-ish, I am so excited for when the time comes for us to start having children. Reading your posts I can always feel the joy your children bring you! I love children so much and cannot wait to be a mommy (hopefully next year)!! Thank you for always sharing your family with all of us
I purposely did not buy any Halloween candy yet, because I have a real sweet tooth. However, school parties are today and trick or treat night is tonight so I am sure I will be on a sugar high that will last all weekend!
Love the new header!
Love the new header! Love the mary jane shoes! Love the gingham! Love your green dress! Love all of these pictures!
I love your blog. You inspire me to be a better mommy! Also, I love free things and wouldn’t mind a little help in the organizational department!
I am expecting my first child and have been looking everywhere for the perfect diaper bag. And the red color just finishes it off (my favorite color).
BTW, you’re blog always makes me smile, no matter how bad/stressful of a day I’m having!
Love the costumes and loooove the bag.
just read peter pan a month ago to my 4 and 3 year old girlies… so extra loved that imagery you used. & you are not the only one wanting to be the mommy of a child forever.
I need that diaper bag for #2 that is cooking in my belly and making it hard to stay awake for #1!!!
I need that diaper bag for #2 that is cooking in my belly and making it hard to stay awake for #1!!!
Awesome giveaway! I’ve found that those drop-everything moments make the best memories. π
Things I’m loving
The new header
The fall colors in OH
A new blog post in the morning
the crochet pin
LOVE the diaper bag.
Shhh….don’t spill the beans, but I’m 7 weeks pregnant with our 2nd, so I could totally use a new diaper bag π
those babies just make my heart smile! Thanks for sharing your love of the halloween candy and that you too will have old receipts with some randomness along with them in the bottom of the bag..good times my friend..good times!
Love the bag! And now you have me thinking what I can wear tights with today!
I love the shot of them reading. It reminds me of my little girls.
Enjoying the blog as usual. My diaper “bag” is a mess. Please help.
Enjoy your warm weather – we are bunkering down for the snow that will be coming soon over hear!
Ooohhh … I’ve totally been in the market for a new diaper bag! On a different note … I love, love, love that wall of pictures behind Nella!
Your photos always inspire me to take more pictures in life, even in the off moments. So beautiful.
& your new header is to die for! Cutest little girls ever.
π
Love that bag! And could use it for my three kids 3 1/2 and under that I tote around town!
I love this bag! How awesome. I just recently found out that I am expecting and my first must is a cute yet practical diaper bag.
Love your pictures! SO BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for sharing yourself and your BEAUTIFUL family! I really enjoy the “sock feet” too! So sweet!
What is it about chubby baby feet and legs in socks pulled high?! I love it!
Random commenter hoping to win! Looking good this fall…love those girls…want to squeeze them! Happy Halloween!
How beautiful! Every now and then, I stop to think about how much fun I had when I was younger. The games of “Princess” and “House” I would play. Sneaking into my moms makeup and clothes until she would find me, only to jump right in and play too! Childhood really is a magical thing!
Great post and bag!!
-Lindsey
So inspiring!
Love the bag, love your photos!!!
I just found out my best friend is expecting and this bag is SO up her alley! Even if I don’t win, I’m snagging one of these bad boys. Love your pics, as always. Rock it out, girl.
I would LOVE one of these bags!!!
I love that you make being a SAHM so wonderful. I struggle with it every day, but you remind me how great it can be!
Still loving your blog and checking it religiously. It inspires me. Thank you.
You inspire me – you don’t know me, but you INSPIRE me! OH MY GOODNESS! My husband has asked what has come over me, my usual pollyanna attitude has now been combined with colors and flying by the seat of my pants and enjoying the little things that by themselves would just be moments, but because I/we are choosing – they become MEMORIES – beloved MEMORIES. Whether the random number comment fairy picks me or not – THANK YOU for your inspiration.
For a split second all I wanted to do was comment on your header and then go back and read your post…because that is the cutest ever!! Ever! But after that split second was over, I had to of course read the rest!
“Having a lot on my plate, but dropping it all for moments like these…”
I would like to live by this statement.
Thank you again Kelle…inspirational as always!
Ohh I neeeeeeed this bag!
I LOVE your thoughts about that magical extra chromosome allowing us to enjoy the enchantment of childhood a little longer. What a cool way to look at things. Just yesterday I took a picture of my two year old’s toy in my silverware drawer. I stopped myself from putting it away b/c I know someday his toys won’t be all over the house. I just wanted to hold on to that moment as long as possible. I hadn’t thought about the fact that my almond-eyed baby boy will bless me with his innocence for even longer than his brother will. Thanks π
First just let me say I love, love, love the halloween costumes!! Ok, now the pleading, pick me! Pick me!! With two littles of my own, I cant tell you how many diaperbags we’ve gone through, a red one would look nice carrying all our stuff!! So again PICK ME!!!
I love a Kelle Hampton mid-week post!
…and I am so ready to win that red hot diaper bag!
Very cool bag! Would be perfect for an expectant Mom, like me! So loving seeing the growth and beauty of your baby girls. Ah!Great photos!
love everything about this post today – the bag, the pin on the wife beater, the babes, and the song playing in the background. well done Kelle!
Your header is adorable! I love the costumes. Can’t wait for a Halloween recap. π
You inspire me to find beauty in all of the everyday things that I normally wouldn’t look twice at. You really have made a difference in my life.
I just love reading your blog! It just makes my day to see those precious littles of yours! And that diaper bag is rockin’!
Yes, a fabulous red bag sounds awesome!!!! I’d love to win.
Loving the picture of Nella looking at her white stockinged feet. π
I love your new desk!!!
I love the mini almond joys, too! I swore to myself that I would not eat the candy this year before Halloween and even have to go out and buy more for the trick or treating goblins…so I bought pretzels for them instead this year…and they are all still here! HA!
I also LOVE the bag – especially with your shoes and tights! Ka-YOOT!
I love your girls. Pure beauty!
I’m soooo jealous of bare feet in October. Here in Canada – not a chance!
Love your post, like always! Great header, too!
Where did you get those pink shoes!? Love love love them π
Deiah
A new and improved diaper bag would be so exciting. I’ve been using cloth grocery bags as make shift diaper bags to carry all the baby necessities in denial that I still actually needed a diaper bag. For some reason I convinced myself that my 3 year old son and twin 1 1/2 year old girls would carry their own back backs while I carried my 5 mo olds stuff in a small cute bag… this never happens!
I know I’ve said this before but you inspire me to grow as a person and better enjoy the small things in my own life! Thank you.
In reference to the new header, my older sister and I were a cat and mouse for two halloweens in a row. Then in there was a year break and my younger sister and I were cat and mouse for two more years.
PLEASE don’t do that to Lainey and Nella!
Love your flower clip, I think I’ll go buy one!
Sometimes, as moms, we all need a little time in a cubicle. For me it’s my nightly soak in the shower. It’s pretty much the only time I am completely by myself. I have a 2-year-old son, watch four other toddlers in my home all day long, and am pregnant with twins due in just a few weeks…. so I need some quiet time more than you know. I can completely relate!
Your purple wedges are fabulous by the way. As soon as I can see my ankles again, I will be in search of fabulous shoes like those.
I love the girls Halloween costumes!! Maybe next year I’ll get creative and make my kids? Probably not, but it’s a nice thought!
I have the perfect mommy-to-be in mind for this bag!!
What a cool bag! I would love to win it! Love your Blog, Kelle!
~Monica
I so so so need this bag! I’m totally unorganized. I have a two week old and a 17 month old and need more diaper bag room! Please pick me!
Whoa wait…did you say mini Almond Joy? Oh my, we can’t even get regular Almond Joy here anymore. I thought they had stopped making them or something. I have to go tell my husband that we definitely need to move to Florida now…
I love reading your blogs they always put a smile on my face.
Oh my goodness that new header is super cute, LOVE the costumes! Oh and I also love Nella with just her socks on, precious! And as always love the blog!
I know just what you mean about wanting to have a child forever. I always tell my husband I want to shellac (sp?) our girls as 3 year olds! Love your new header, btw….
I just threw our diaper bag in the garbage… I found a 3 week old banana in the bottom of it… (No – I have no idea how I didn’t find it sooner than 3 weeks with that stench…) but after scrubbing… and scrubbing… And then putting it in the washer only to have the washer eat it… Well – it then fell apart. Bummer.
I love, love, love the new header!!!! Your girls are too cute π
Lve reading your blog. You remind me to enjoy the small things. I am working on being more carefree (with a 7 year old, 6 year old and 4-1/2 month old!).
Love the new header! They are adorable in their costumes!! The picture of Nella with her socks is so caute!
Throwing my name in the pot to see if I am lucky to win the bag…also I LOVE the middle picture in the header. Have a happy day!
I LOVE your shoes in the last photo! Only you could pull those off cause I sure as heck couldn’t! lol I love your creativity! You inspire me to find crafts to do with our daughter Haleigh! I am not crafty at all but we have so much fun trying. We’re making memories together. Thank you so much!!
Another awesome post Kelle! You definately make me adjust the lens a little clearer on what is really important in life. I’m in need of a few more moments of nothingness with my little man!
“So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land…”
Adorable post…adorable bag…adorable girlies!
Love the new header! Your girls are so sweet.
PHEW! I am SO relieved to know that I am not the only one that hides the candy only to go in search of it under the cover of darkness! I feel all “special ops” sneaking in and collecting the contraband and then sneaking back out, undetected, to enjoy the contraband! Your blog makes me smile…it makes me laugh, and it gives me glimpses of encouragement to share with my friend and her sweet Molly…I love the Peter Pan analogy…so very true!
Loves, loves, loves the new header! Cute custumes for cute kids!
Love the bag (and those sweet little mice!)
Your cat and mouse are so adorable! I love the new header!
Love your beautiful perspective on life.
Last year my husband and I ate a whole bag of halloween candy before it was halloween…we had to buy a second bag for the kids.
I love the girls’ costumes! So cute π
Nella and Lainey are THE cutest cat-and-mouse I have ever seen in my entire life. And we’re made a point NOT to buy any Halloween candy yet because it’ll be gone and there will be none left for the kiddies… and I’ll get a tummy ache. That and/or a sugar high.
And Nella with the socks? Honestly… too much! The kid makes everything look so amazingly adorable!
Cutest cat and mouse ever! My little girl is celebrating her first Halloween this year and will be a lady bug. So many things to be thankful for!
What a great giveaway! Thanks!
Also, your new header is awesome. I love watching your girls grow through their photos.
Ok, so it’s no secret I have a diaper bag/hand bag/purse/carry-on/you name it bag addiction. And in red? O.M.G. Momma likie!!!!

OK – First I LOVE your header!!! So stinkin’ cute! And second, that diaper bag would be awesome as my first one is in shambles from my daughter! I feel like my muffin on the way maybe could use a new one! Happy Trick or Treating!

Diggin’ the new bag and LOVING your new header!
I have hidden the bag of Halloween candy in the freezer. Does it work? Ask the husband who smiled like the Chesire Cat and told me what a great hiding spot it would be—for the kids!
And seriously in love with probably to coolest bag I have ever seen in my life! Being red is definitely a bonus as it would match fantastically with the perfect pair of shoes that just happens to be sitting in my closet. Here’s to crossing fingers and wishing. π Happy Thursday
Loving the girl’s costumes!!!
Love your cuties Halloween costumes!!! So very cute. Great job lady on making them. π
I have never wanted a giveaway as much as this one. If you saw my purse/diaper bag, you would know why. π
I LOVE that diaper bag! It doesn’t even really look like one!
I love reading your blog, its really opened my eyes to life and being more positive! You have a wonderful family π
OH and Halloween candy is not safe for a 9 month preggo momma….I can’t keep my hands out of the pumpkin basket of my 2 year olds….Oh well! What 2 year old needs a ton of candy?
I’m ready for Halloween to be over only because the fun size snickers are my kryptonite!
The girls costumes are fabulous!!! and your candy addiction sounds like mine π But hey it’s Halloween! It’s ok, right?
Your new banner is so freaking cute! The kitty and mouse. Perfect. The shot of Nella biting Lainy’s tail is priceless.
I have the same green Anthropologie dress that you are wearing in the last photo. Great minds!
What a great picture of your girls reading together! The last one of Lainey is just beautiful, too.
As the mommy of Landon and soon-to-be mommy of another, I know how important (and hard) it is to be organized. I hope whoever wins the giveaway loves the diaper bag. It looks amazing!
I love Nellas brown gingham dress and your purple wedges! Super cute!
I totally need a new diaper bag. I have 3 going right now … there’s the small one to take into the restaurant, the one to take to the big sister’s soccer and then there’s the one for being out for the whole day. It’s insanity!!
Love the socks!
Puh-LEASE tell us where you got those purple shoes! ::drool::
Also, PICK ME!
As always – beautiful, beautiful pictures of your beautiful girls. The diaper bag sounds perfect, I’ll definitely have to check it out!
Happy Halloween Lainey and Nella! Love, love the cat and mouse costumes! Also digging the lillebaby Oslo diaper bag!!
amazing how that little clip MADE your outfit. so cute!!! i’m a big fan of gingham too. my girls are 7and almost 11 and they still play together with Barbies and Legos and well…anything. it is so precious to see. so no worries you have a long time yet to enjoy that magic. have a beautiful day.
The more I read your blog, the more I want to thank you for the intimate look you provide into your family – its joys, its struggles and the overabundance of love that is shared. Your family is beautiful and your perspective is real and refreshing. Thanks for the constant inspiration, whether it’s through your words or pictures.
red is totally your color! its my color too… =]
Love everything about you including the new bag! I would love a red one too!!! π
Love the pics – beautiful girls! All 3 of you!
Who knew a cat eating a mouse could be so darn cute! π LOVE all your shoes! You’ve got me taking pictures of my feet now! lol. And that diaper bag is awesome! You always find the coolest stuff. Enjoying your posts!
I love how your blog can make me laugh out loud…I don’t think my Halloween candy is going to make it till Sunday!
Ok Kelle … You seriously need to hide that Nella of yours cuz I am *this close* to hopping on a plane and coming to your house and snatching her up!! Ok, not really, b/c that would be crazy…but you know what I mean!! That pic of her in her little mouse costume bitting Lainey’s tail?!?! OMG. Priceless.
Precious new header…and the sock feet pic of Nella is my favorite of this post. With the stuffed Olivia next to her, I imagine an unspoken conversation between the two.
‘I like laying on the floor.’
‘Me too!’
‘Check out my feet in these socks.’
‘I know. I wish my feet were that long.’
‘Wanna go play with my sister?’
‘Maybe in a minute…I really like laying on the floor.’
‘Yeah…me too.’
Loving your green dress & Nella’s wonderful white tube socks! π
The diaper bag is AWESOME…& in red makes it that much better!!
Love the idea of that extra chromosome giving Peter Pan a few extra years of childhood at your house.
I have the same diaper bag problem as you. My oldest is 4 now and I’ve never had an actual “diaper bag”. Now, with my third on the way, I’ve vowed to get a real bag before he arrives. Plus, I love that color red!
super cute bag, kelle! i’m due in april and would love to sport one as well π
I would love to win the bag! My diaper bag never has enough room!! π
Inspiring as usual! Thanks!
I am absolutely loving your little cat and mouse! I love how you enjoy the small things…going to go take some more pumpkin patch pictures tonight…you inspire me!
I’m constantly checking your blog to see when you’ve posted something new and I always get so excited when you have. I have to put everything else on hold to read and see the pictures. Please don’t stop blogging! π
This has nothing to do with your post, but I have to share: My friend in Nebraska had her 20 week ultrasound yesterday and learned there were some genetic abnormalities (heart) and their baby may have DS. My other friend in North Carolina had the same situation a few weeks ago. It was such a joy to share your Blog with them. Being a new follower, I have to say I now feel so much hope and joy for people who have a child with DS rather than sadness or fear. You have not only changed the way they feel about their children, but people like me as well. The way you look at life and your beautiful girls is such an inspiration. Kelle, thanks to you sharing your story, in all its truths, the sadness as well as the happiness. Thanks to you putting yourself out there so many people can move forward with peace. No matter what their doctor’s appointments bring, they know they will welcome their babies with love and HOPE. This is not just a Blog, your words will save lives.
I Love the new pictures of the girls!!!!! I also love the diaper bag. This would be great for us. We found out a month ago that we are having twins. See, I yold you it would come in handy. Happy Halloween!!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Halloween header — so precious. Your girls always look so amazingly happy — I can’t help but smile!
I love the Halloween header and all your pictures! Halloween candy is the best!!!!
I am pregnant with my first child. I’m absolutely terrified! I find comfort in your blog and knowing that it all will get done and if it doesn’t, OH WELL! We are telling our families this weekend, our the butterflies in my stomach and tears in my eyes that appear as I type this. Your girls are dolls!
I am feeling your struggle to stay away from the Halloween candy- I can’t seem to resist it either- the other night I couldn’t sleep because I had eaten candy corn pumpkins while watching glee! Jealous of your bare feet in October my uggs have made an appearance and will stay on now until the spring! Loving the pictures of your little cuties- the new blog header is fantastic… The Halloween costumes are fantastic.
Wish I’d had a cool diaper bag like that when my girlies were babes, BUT stepdaughter is pregnant so I know she would love it.
I love the photo of the girls lying on the floor, with your normal, homey messes in the background.
Thank you for sharing!
The girls are too cute…especially the feet pictures…I love baby feet:) I can’t buy Halloween candy until the last minute b/c I will hide it and eat it all by myself…Happy Mid-Week.
Your photographs are gorgeous as usual. π
Great costumes! so much creativity can happen in a rusted metal chair and a card table…enjoy your time alone in the evenings, it makes all the other time so much sweeter
I admit to being a candy addict
You not only have great taste in decor, photography, clothes, but also….jelly!! That is the best jelly of all time! π
I feel like the Neverland in me “never” left, it was just suppressed for awhile. I’m looking forward to our baby’s arrival in February to bring it back in full force! Love the last picture of Nella- gorgeous!
I always read your blog on google reader. my goodness is your header adorable. i could just hug nella all day long, she is so stinking adorable!
I want the diaper bag!!! π cute header by the way!
Only you can make a Peter Pan reference that makes me cry. Seriously. And I sooo needed this after a really hectic morning with my two babies. I felt guilty when I breathed a sense of relief after dropping them off at school..and now I want to go scoop them back up and never let them go.
Other things I LOVE about this post: your flower clip, Lainey’s hat, Nella in nothin’ but a diaper and white socks, and the fact that I’m not the only one with stuff jammed under my bed π Oh..and that diaper bag ROCKS. I’ll take one, please π
Love your blog! You really put things into perspective for me as a mom π
I love reading your blog….you have the best posts!
And that bag is aweseome….if I don’t win it, I will probably have to run out and buy it!!!
Absolutely LOVE that last picture of Lainey!
Today when my sleepy almost 2 yearold was wrestling to get on my lap while I was reading your blog, he looked at what i was reading. Got a big goofy grin, & said “ella a cat”!!! Girls look sweet in the newest pics:) luv the bag!!
I will say again, I LOVE your writing. I do a little happy dance when I see a new post from you on my google reader! Keep on keepin’ on!
Rashell
I double heart love the new header! Can’t wait see ya’lls trick or treat pictures! π
The header is just adorable! Can’t wait to see the cat and mouse marching down your street on Halloween! So you know how I come here and most times shed a tear or two because of your lovely touching pictures? Well today I sat in a mess of tears at my desk when I read this:
“I used to want to be a child forever. Now, in loving this place, I want to have a child forever. And, believe me, it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer for our family. And that’s perfectly alright.”
Seriously, you are amazing at articulating your thoughts…and girl you sure know how to live and love….real BIG. You are such an inspiration.
My son is in that “pretend” stage and I could just sit and listen to him for hours on end. Love!
xo
Kris
LOVING the new banner π What an adorable idea for them to coordinate! Over here we’ve got 3 year old Little Po Peep and the 7 month old Lamb <3 LOVE LOVE LOVE
Love the flower clip. Love Nella’s Mary Janes. Love your new header. Love that diaper bag!
Absolutely love the new header and that bag is the perfect organization for the mess I’ve created in my purse/diaperbag/preschool artwork holder!
I’ll take one in red. . . yes, please, and thank you! Henry is in the kitchen with me and is swaying back and forth to Ingrid Michaelson’s YOU AND I. So cute, we’ve never heard that one before. Kelle, I love the photos of you in your ‘wife beater’. You’re just so lovely. . . your girls are too. Thanks for being so wonderful.
So I’m guessing you made the adorable outfits the girls are wearing by hand??? Love em! You continue to inspire me every day…
Awesome giveaway! I would LOVE this great diaper bag for my own “Lilly Baby”!!
Red is EPIC! It’s my favorite color! I also love the small things and bare feet and the fact that my girl thinks she’s Cinderella even though I swore I wouldn’t have a girl that was into princess’s and fairies! Little girls are quite awesome!
I enjoy reading your recent blog posts π You have inspired me to take more photographs, of things I wouldn’t have ever thought about. I love the diaper bad, I have a grandson that I tote around and would most definatley use this bag !!! It’s very stylish !

My four-year-old also is an expert at playing pretend. Most recently we played that she was a puppy with purple vampire teeth (thanks Halloween!) who likes to fetch the washcloth in the bathtub.
I squealed when I opened your blog. Your cat and mouse are beyond cute.
Oh, and my soon to be here (but not too soon) little girl and I would love that diaper bag!

This made me tear up. So very sweet.
A lovely post as always. Keep enjoying that warm, fabulous October weather!
I am loving the Oslo bag! Fabulous! And you just inspired me to dress up my stay at home outfit today

A new diaper bag would be just the thing. I think my converted army bag might be getting a wee bit tired and now with a second on the way I bet I will have more to carry around.
I was a mouse for halloween when I was 8 and had a giant piece of cheese that I wore around my waist as well. So cute.

Most meaning line of your post to me..
“I used to want to be a child forever. Now, in loving this place, I want to have a child forever”. I look at them each day and want them to stay young forever.. DO I hear a Jay-z song in the background??
Love that diaper bag.. could totally use it!
Your post has made me see that I too have a lot on my plate, but really need to stop everything and enjoy my little ones!

Hi just wanted to say I love reading your blog and I love your pictures. Your blog really inspires me π
That last picture of Lainey is beautiful!! One of my all time favorites.
I purposefully schedule my yearly dental cleaning after the month of October. Then I can get all my candy eating in guilt free!
Every spring I delight in the warm weather, because, among other things, it means that I get to see baby/toddler/kid toes again. But then fall rolls around, and oh, how I love those little socks. π
I love your new header. The girls look precious in their costumes. π
Believe it or not, we have had some bare feet here in Ohio the past week or so. It’s been strangely warm. Do you want some leaves sent your way? We have thousands and thousands. Here’s to bare feet in October!
Yeah for dropping everything to enjoy those beautiful babies!!! (And I still have those dresses for your girls if you’d like them.)
Yeah for dropping everything to enjoy those beautiful babies!!! (And I still have those dresses for your girls if you’d like them.)

Cute bag!! And thankfully Halloween will soon be here.. and gone! The candy is just not safe around here!
Your posts always help me to realize that the dishes will still be in the sink in an hour and that my 3 1/2 year old may not still be wanting to play so I go play with him and enjoy our small things. Love the red bag!!

We were just approved to adopt yesterday, thus beginning the mad rush to buy baby gear. Or maybe finally justifying all the gear I’ve already bought. Either way, great giveaway!

My 3yr old loves playing pretend. He thinks his hands are seperate friends that talk and sometimes even tell him to behave. Maybe they’re really my friends…?

LOVE Nella’s fat knees hanging down with those socked feet up in the air!!! Why can’t my fat knees look that cute, ha ha ha.
And the day Noah was born, my sister, knowing how much I LOVE the baby stage, looked at me and said “you love babies, look what you’ve got”. And before I even knew that Noah had Down syndrome, my twin girls were going off to kindergarten and I cried. I thought they were all grown up and wouldn’t need me anymore, and I looked at my mom and pointed to my belly and said “this baby better need me FOREVER”. And he will!:)
your posts are always a welcome breath of fresh air… especially when my toddler has spent the majority of the past month crying from his molars.
and i adore your photo wall and want one just like it! π
Love the costumes, hope you all have a magical Halloween.
Your pictures capture so much joy – once again highlighting how it’s the small things in life that provide the most…… the Olivia doll with Nella, the Fun Size candy wrappers piled up, the flowerclip and of course the feet, gotta love the baby feet – with our without socks!

ps….diaper bag? or purse right?!
Loves when I have some time to myself, I always feel refueled after and then I enjoy my little ones even more.
With baby girl #3 on the way, I have been going through my ‘old’ stash of diaper bags. Can we say boring?! You know, they’re mostly the black ones you get for free from the hospital. I would be rockin’ with a killer red one!!!
Your girls are adorable and I LOVE the new header on the blog. Thanks for your crafty words that always inspire.

I absolutely love your blog! You girls are adorable and the Halloween costumes are so cute. Thanks for reminding me to enjoy the small things in life. π
I would love to win that bag to give to my sister! She’s having her 3rd baby in February and it’s a boy so her pink Juicy bag will not do.
Love your blog!
Marilena
Could your family be anymore gorgeous? You rock! The small things I’m enjoying? Funny YouTube videos that break up the monotony of my everyday routine. The leaves changing color and making everything beautiful hear in Ohio. And, the smiles of all the cute kiddos that I get to work with are the best!
You may have heard this already from another commenter, but it’s probably good to drop the term “wife beater.” It’s one of those words that people use frequently, but then, once you think about what you’re saying, is just so horrifying that you can’t believe you said it in the first place.
Gorgeous diaper bag and gorgeous header!
Oh, I could so use a new diaper bag!!!
you’re girls never cease to amaze in their cuteness!
amber π
The new header is super cute! Yay for fall, halloween candy & a fabulous red diaper bag π
Kelle~you.are.awesome.
I love their costumes, too adorable!

Sometimes I feel like you’ve taken up permanent residence in my brain…you are just so IN there.
Sometimes I feel like you’ve taken up permanent residence in my brain…you are just so IN there.
I, too, constantly change diaper bags, searching for the perfect one and never quite finding it. Maybe this will be my lucky day π
Love all things FALL! Including this red bag! π
Thanks Kelle. You are the coolest mom I’ve ever seen, and you are so down to earth. Every morning while I’m pumping milk for my little guy, I read your blog to pass the time quickly. So you could say, you help start my day in a happy way! π
What an adorable bag! I love your green dress!
Your October looks nothing like mine, there are no bare feet and my Halloween costumes are stuffed with snowsuits! I warm up every day reading your blog – thank you for the heat! Love from Canada!
oooh oooh (i’m raising my hand) pick me!! i’m broke and have baby #1 on the way! i’d love a killer diaper bag!!!
bethany
I love the new header!!! Your girls are beautiful and make such a cute cat and mouse!!!! The pictures of you are just stunning! A beautiful person, inside and out!!!
Books and Mary Janes and Diaper Bags – oh my! I love looking at the photo of Nella and Lainey reading a book together. I’ve always had a thing for Mary Janes. Probably because when I was little we would only be allowed to wear them to Sunday School – had little red tie shoes for during the week. So, Mary Janes were special! The diaper bag looks amazing….
Adorable halloween costumes!!! Nella is a sweetie. And the diaper bag is pretty cool too. π
Love the new header, and Nella’s little socked feet!
I love your blog and check daily for updates! Thanks for being so real… and for taking advantage of everyday life!
Oh, I love giveaways!
I love your blog. I love following your adorable children!
Loving the gingham. Don’t they look darling in their little cat-and-mouse halloween costumes!
Oh my goodness, Nella in those high socks is priceless! I haven’t bought our candy to give out… I have absolutely no self control, and either need to buy really gross stuff, which just seems mean, or wait until trick or treaters are about to show up to avoid entire bags of chocolate disappearing!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the green dress with fushia shoes!! I love that you see the joy and beauty in the “simple” things in life. I love your blog and love when you put up a new post, it’s like a breath of fresh air!
you again took an on-going thought out of my brain…I dont wnat to be young forever I want to be a child forever! Which is probably why I so love my job as a pediatric physical therapist. My lovebugs are 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 and time is flying too fast! At work I get to be with kiddos age 0-5 and they warm and fill my heart the few days a week I work <3 ~Mary & Johnny’s mom XO
Love the new header, the girls look so cute!
My diaper bad is my catch-all for everything… constantly filled with cheerio crumbs and lip gloss and recipets and scraps of paper…. I would love a new one with some more storage!
Love you blog, thanks for always putting a smile on my face!
Leah

Our reaction to color is almost instantaneous and has a profound impact on the choices we make everyday.
So… “When in doubt WEAR RED.” –Bill Blass
My “enjoying the small things for today” was snuggling with my baby in bed until 10 AM! π
Thanks for the inspiration!
I have a similar pile of halloween candy wrappers sitting next to me as well… luckily I’m running low!
Beautiful photos as usual π
I SO need that diaper bag! I hope I win. And where’d you get those cute knee high socks that Nella is wearing? Love them.
Halloween candy? Don’t even get me started on how many bags I have eaten…
I completely understand about the halloween candy– I have been trying (oh so hard!) to be good all week– thank goodness tonight is trick-or-treat π
That diaper bag looks fantastic– a total dream for any mom! I’m expecting a nephew in mid-December, and this this would be the perfect gift for his Mama!
Cute costumes! I love that the cat is smaller than the mouse. π Love that diaper bag, too.
♥ Yeah! Say’s it all π
What a beautiful bag!
The girls look absolutly adorable in their costumes. My 4 month old daughter has a handmade costume this year as well. She will be dressed as a skunk π
Your littles are so darling! I love that they have an Olivia doll.
Happy Fall!
Love the cat and mouse idea for the girls that is so cute. I wish I had the time to make my girls costume. That must be so fulfilling to you.
You know how to rock out even a diaper bag?!?! Of course! I’ve always wondered about your camera bag? I stumbled across The Kelly Moore bag and thought of you! I’m thinking they would suit your style (and mine!). I’m saving my pennies as we speak!!
The candy wouldn’t be safe with me, either π I’m squeezing my eyes shut tight and hoping I get picked…. Kelle I love your blog, it’s truly uplifting and a constant reminder to enjoy everything, simply everything. thank you!
Always inspiring! You pictures and life just make me want to pick up my camera and document everything around me.
You can’t beat a diaper bag in red!
It’s funny how those things in life like cap-less chap-sticks and wads of gum provide us with the inspiration to tell a story. And even though they may represent a bit of the capos we feel as mothers it’s those every things that bring a smile of true fulfillment in our hearts deep within.
So here’s to empty wipe packages, matchbox cars, a lincoln log or 2 and random pieces of life that end up in our story boxes we call purses and diaper bags π
And really, if you have to carry your story around, what better way to strut your stuff than with an oh so sassy red one!
Kelle, I just love your blog! Great post and adorable halloween costumes. I’m 6 weeks along and due in June and that diaper bag would be perfect for me π
Oh, sweet pediped mary janes make me secretly wish this is another little lady I’m carrying! Love.
I love that you are finding fall moments in your little beach town!!! And the Oslo bag brgins so many good memories just by the name, my family lives in Oslo, Norway, it makes me want to go visit!!
I really could use a new diaper bag. Can you throw those darling shoes in there too? Thanks for being you Kelle!
Fall is my favorite and living in the Sothern Dakota we get to experience it, even in only for a breif time between Summer and Snow! But it is ispiring to me how you still manage to find your midwest Fall in Florida!
Thanks for the chance at a fun giveaway!
Candy candy candy! I cannot get enough of the gummy yummy sweet and sour gooey stuff. Tis the season, right?!
I’m pregnant with my first and your blog means so much more to me now that we are starting a family. Your daughters are beautiful and always seem so content. What an amazing family!
We’re loving fall over here in Ca too! Thanks for all your hard work and the great blog!

How you capture life with your words is so amazing. I’ve been eating candy corn like it’s fruit and vegetables. And Peter staying in Neverland a little longer…love that analogy.
Amazing pics of wheat-stars, which I’ve never seen, and feet, which I see all the time, but often overlook.
Love it.
Susan
Beautiful post…as always…but I just love your musing about childhood staying a little longer in your house. Yeah for that! Couldn’t we all benefit from that. Sometimes we take life too seriously and should all take the time to pretend and play memory on the floor by our workspace. Hooray for being a fantastic mama and wanting your littles to stay little just a wee bit longer. I second that motion.
I love that you dress up to work from home…so gorgeous. I think that if I had that bag I would look that good, ha! I was introduced to your blog at a Down Syndrome Network meeting. My nephew has “desginer genes” and I couldn’t imagine our life without that extra chromosome. Keep writing because I.AM.ADDICTED π
I’m not judging for the candy eating. I’m the one making my toddler trick or treat when I only intend on letting her have, like, 1% of her haul.
Kelle,
I absolutely love your blog. I cannot wait until you post. I love the pictures, the way you write, and how I feel like I can relate.
Oh, man. I know what you mean about getting to extend the stay in Neverland. Even though my son is 19, he’s recovering from autism, so I still get to see every animated movie that comes out, then own the DVD. And we still read fun books together. And play endless board games. And even though he still likes to sit down and leaf through his old Franklin the Turtle books, he’s just as likely to discuss the fact that abortion is murder or that the whole world should homeschool so kids don’t get picked on. And both sides of him are fine by me…
I love the new pictures. Nella grabbing Laney’s tail is so precious. I have my first on the way and have my fingers crossed I could be the random winner!!
Love the pics! Your girls are just beautiful.
I love your photos and your littles. It’s fabulous, as are you. My sister would flip for the bag (her new love to arrive in December). Blessings, Kelle!
I love the simplicity of childhood. It makes me stop and appreciate my life!
Nella and her white socks, Lainey and her pretend things…perfect. Susan
Loving your blog from Michigan! I LOVE how you had fall leaves shipped in. I could send you a few more boxes from my front yard if you like! LOL!
I can think of a couple Mommies I could put this under the tree for!
Oh my goodness, that header is the cutest thing I have ever seen!!! I love how in the middle photo the cat catches the mouse. Too cute!!!
love love love!
I would like to come to your house and look in your closet. You have the most fabulous clothes! It’s like you and your girls play dress up every day with a trunk of frilly dresses and glittery shoes. I’m sure your yoga pants are fab too…you do have yoga pants, right?
Would love to win that diaper bag as I just found out I’m expecting our second baby!
Today you’ve inspired me to be cute even while toting a diaper bag. Goodness, are you and your girls ever so pretty. It’s a measure of confidence and grace, but too, where on Earth did you get that green dress?! Yes please.
Even without the giveaway, I wanted to say THANK YOU for posting pictures that show that there’s stuff all over your floors…because there’s always stuff all over mine, and then I feel like I shouldn’t post the pictures that show it. But then you remind me that it’s completely normal and not to feel bad about it π
I love the new header! So freakin’ cute!
Not only is the bag fabulous, but I am loving that green dress! Note to self: Buy a green dress…just for fun!
You’re beautiful – your girls, your photos, your life. Thanks for sharing it with us. π
Love this. Love your blog. Love the headers. Love watching your girls grow.
Please don’t say “wife-beater.” There are so many other ways to describe your shirt (ribbed tank, A-shirt, etc.) that don’t connote violence against women. Please show your girls and your readers that you don’t condone/perpetuate the stereotype of some ribbed-undershirt wearing a-hole beating the crap out of his wife by using the term “wife-beater” with whimsy.
I could totally use a new diaper bag! And LLOOOOOVE the pics of your girls in costume – so precious!
Love the new header! Great bag! π
I would love a cute red diaper bag like that! Red is so totally my favourite colour. It’s fabulous, really.
oh.my.word. Those are the cutest little cat & mouse I have ever seen!
Can’t wait to dress up my little one next Halloween.
Since I’m expecting, I think I really need that diaper bag! π
Gingham goodness!!! Love that. Oh, and any bag that comes in red is a-okay in my book.
Love the word “janky”,
dig the purple shoes
the new header is so cool!
oooh, would so love an organized bag! congrats to the winner!
That is the sweetest cat and mouse pair I’ve ever seen!! Love all your pictures! Makes me want to work on my skills more and take more of my beautiful boy!
Love the bag and LOVE the new header! Especially the middle pic. π
I am thinking of decorating my little girl’s room in lavender gingham – to tide the avalanche of pink!
Also, candy? Yes, please.
What a great bag- this sounds like a true gem. I have to have one!
i always look forward to your next post! and you & i are the same when it comes to candy!! i will hide it & always find myself going back to it! heehee!! and i love your new banner!!
I would LOVE to be organized and ohhhhh it comes in red!
Love the adorable picture of the two girls reading their book – such sweet sisters.
Love the costumes! And I would love that diaper bag!
Beautiful post and your babies are getting cuter and cuter with each post.
I have a two year old and 5 month old, and the unorganized mess that I call a diaper bag has become the bane of my existence.
As much as a new diaper bag with pockets would probably up my organization, your pink or purple wedges would probably increase my quality of life more! Where are those from?
LOVE the embellishment on the wife beater! What a fantastic idea!
Oh, and I also love sock feet. Nothing better than knee high socks on my 9 month old!
Love your blog and the new Halloween pictures are so cute!!
I’ve already gone through two diaper bags and my little one is only 6 months old. Where did my formerly uber-organized self go??!! Oh right, she became a mom.
Love the costumes and love, love love this blog!
I have been reading your stories now for several months, and love every entry!! The photos are a wonderful perk! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Nella in her knee-high socks!
My mom called me a Bag Hog b/c I LOVE bags! I would love to add this one to my collection – you never know….it might cure me of my love of bags….
Your green dress with the pinkish belt and shoes is SO cute! I think I need to copy it.
I think dropping everything and just spending time with the kids is therapy. Your pictures are wonderful.
I think dropping everything and just spending time with the kids is therapy. Your pictures are wonderful.
I’m feeling your pain on sneaking the candy without the kids knowing. I’ve had to add in a few extra workouts these last couple of weeks!! Lovin’ your Fall in Florida!
The last post is my new favorite of Lainey!!!
She’s growing up Momma!!
I love that stage that Lainey is at! How fun.
That bag is absolutely to die for, you had me at red!
I love that stage that Lainey is at! How fun.
That bag is absolutely to die for, you had me at red!
Happy Mid-week to you, too!! And I love that you captured Lainey’s “magic” dimple in the last photo! Precious.
xoxo,
Angie from Ohio
My two year old daughter’s imagination is just starting to take off. I love it!!! So fun! Your new header is too cute!
Red! It comes in red! Shouldn’t everything come in red? Or purple? Or leopard? Or maybe all three?
AWW, I love the pic of Lainey and Nella looking at the same book. I am expecting right (and have 3 kiddos) and the love that the siblings share and that I see on a daily basis is so sweet. I need to capture more of those moments on camera, like you have. I will, however, maybe not capture the moments where an annoyed sister hides her brothers toys or when the brother gets her back by coating little pet shop toys in yogurt… ;o)
so lucky to be barefoot in october!
lovvvvve this diaper bag! fingers crossed!
Lainey and Nella are just precious! I must admit though.. I usually read your blogs while here in my work box. Whenever I read “Nella” I think of ditching this place and running to my apartment where a far-more-than-half-eaten container of NUTella is waiting for me in the kitchen cupboard to devour it with a spoon and nothing else. So whenever I see the delicious perfection that is in that little plastic bottle, I think of the beautiful goodness in your Nella’s sweet and perfect face. =D
Yeah, I know. I sound a little piggish. But hey! Nutella is GOOOOOOOD!
Have a blesssed one!
I LOVE that pumpkin clip on your wife beater, and I love even more that you have matching lipstick! That bag is adorable, I’m always in need of a new diaper bag…it’s tough to box up the fun purses while in the land of babyhood.
Love the opening of your blog – such imagery! You created such a picture with just your words. I am inspired to find a desk, a special place, and a time to write too. Thank you for your words…
Sitting here finding my “happy place” on your blog… scarfing down a frozen dinner while my three week old is crying in the other room wanting to be picked up. So thanks for giving me some “me time”… I really needed it today!
you totally inspire me to write more and be more involved in the every day little things that are happening all around me. my husband and i are expecting our first child in december and reading your blog inspires me to enjoy all the small things around me. thanks for the inspiration!
So I ordered my Nella Band from Lillian Eve and my daughter wore it once and I lost it π Not cool! I love her stuff.
Love your post today, as always. Also loving the bag, your cute platforms and your song for this post, Ingrid Michaelson!!!
Can’t wait to see your post-Halloween post! π
Love all the toes!
Love, love, love your blog, your photos, your writing!! Your children are beautiful. What a blessing!
We are taking our boat out on Saturday. It should be a glorious day in the 80’s!
another great opportunity. This is the reason I have not bought any candy yet LOL π
First of all your new Header is just precious – secondly, I am glad that I am not the only one out there with dirty laundry thrown on the floor and pushed against the wall π
So cute! My 2 girls are going as a cat and mouse also :o)
Another great post…thanks for sharing your family with us….You are such a great writer.
love the bag and your super cute magenta shoes. i have a sweet three year old named Jameson with DS and love your blog.
I check your blog almost daily, its a ritual for me when I get to work. I get excited when I see a new post. To say that I admire your outlook on life would be an understatement. Everytime I read a new post, I feel like I get a little re-charge on what really is important in life. Learning not to sweat the small stuff, a smidgen at a time. OH, and I have this crazy obsession with black tops(hey, its slimming) jeans, and red shoes…I have the cutest red purse…would so dig a red diaper bag to match! π
Oh happy giveaway! What fun. I enjoy coming to your blog to get an infusion of happies! You are blessed with such a gift of making even the most mundane ordinary eveents/life seem so special. Bless you!
yumm!

Your randomness and highlights of everyday life make me consider the small things. You are my escape from everyday work life…and sometimes I’ll admit it…I wish I had a life like yours…to enjoy my littles and the small things. π Thanks Kelle!
Halloween had better come quickly, or all the little boxes of Nerds and the peanut butter cups will have disappeared entirely! Good thing I have an extra bag!
Love the girls in their costumes! Love the fall photos! Love the socks and bare feet! Love your fancy “wife beater” and love love love that red bag! I am forever searching for a bag with enough pockets!
I am a huge fan of my Lillebaby EveryWear carrier too, I use it all the time with my daughter.
I have a swollen eye. A new red bag would really cheer me up π
I hid a whole bag of fun-size M&M’s in a random packing box that still has yet to be emptied to keep them away from ME. There’s about 2 packages left….and I wonder why I’m still up and hyper at 11:30 at night. π
Halloween Candy is never safe… and oh so delicious!

Great pictures (as always) I wish we could bottle our kids up so they could stay little a bit longer. Playing, imaginations running wild, happy with the littlest things- it’s all so wonderful!
I love that you’ve been bringing a Midwestern Fall to toasty Florida! This Chicago girl TOTALLY gets why your family ships you leaves:) I would do the same! Hope you and your girls have an awesome Halloween.
I posted…twice on accident…and deleted one but it looks like it deleted twice. Hopefully this post is the lucky #! π
I love your randomness and your highlights on life – makes me stop to think about the “small things” in my life. And I won’t lie…I sometimes wish I could be a stay-at-home mom after reading about your days… Enjoy.
I look forward to your posts! Love the new header!!!
Micaela
You have a beautiful opportunity, so much to be thankful for. Bravo!
I L.O.V.E. the diaper bag…. and I can promise you the only thing better than Halloween candy at home is having some lady at work putting a big bucket of it in the ladies’ room… suddenly I find myself gluping down gallons of water so I have an excuse to trick or treat in the bathroom.
Love all the pictures (as always!) I wish we could bottle up this childhood stage so it would stay a bit longer- I love all the pretending, imaginations running wild, happy over the littlest things. It’s all so wonderful!
Love your new header and love how much time you spend capturing your girls.
Would LOOOOVE to win this bag! I’m due at the end of the year and need a great diaper bag like this!
Oh my gosh that last picture of Lainey is WONDERFUL! I mean, they’re all always wonderful but I think that’s my favorite π
Love you and your girls, thanks for sharing your life with us!
I just love all of the pictures, especially your little cat and mouse header. Simply the sweetest!
I love your blog, your post, everything about it! I would love to win the diaper bag….my little is due to arrive in January.
Thanks for the advice, ideas, and the endless documentation that you share…it really helps a nervous first time future mom!
Thank you for your beautiful words.
Your writing skills are pure magic!
I love coming to your blog every day and reading about you and your family. Your girls are beautiful and your writing is soothing and enjoyable. I also love the new header! So cute!
I just love all of your pictures. Simply the sweetest!
I cannot get over how adorable the new header is. The one of Nella chewing on Lainey’s tail is precious.
How do you do it all? I have two babies (24 and 6 months) and can’t get a darn thing done. How do you find time for your photography? I’m very impressed by you and inspired. By the way, I also love Writing Down the Bones π
you totally rock those pink wedges. me want.
i love your dedication and love for your girls. and sweet nella melts my heart.
I’m on baby #4, and our diaper bag is, um, well-loved. If well-loved means scuffed, stained, and perhaps slightly smelly, that is. π A new one would be lovely!
Kelle – you rock. love your site and I just listen to your music all day …pst don’t tell anyone but I listen to it at work π
Awesome pictures:) The diaper bag is super cute. My first little one arrives on 3/31/10:)
Kelle your blog is incredible and your girls are adorable!! π
Delurking to enter this giveaway. I love your blog. Your photography. Your take on life. Your kids. Thank you for sharing this with me.
You know how to rock it out! Everything from a tank to a diaper bag, somehow you make it glam!
What beautiful photographs, as usual. I’m loving your red bag and would LOVE to have one of my own. Also, I must know where you got your purple shoes?!
oh my gosh, just saw the pictures of the kids in their costumes! So cute! Now, I feel guilty that I don’t have any yet of my kids.
Would love one of those awesome bags!
Thanks!
Nella looks like such a cute little chunker in her sock feet!
my stash of candy is on top of the craft case in the kitchen and no one is the wiser!!! BUT, we did just polish of a box of candy bars we had been selling for the school and didn’t actually sell all of, so we had to buy them and so then, we had to eat them!!! mmmmm
We signed our adoption papers and Friday we start our homestudy. Would love to start it all off with a diaper bag for our peanut-to-be.
Thanks for sharing your blog…your photos…your thoughts. I’m always excited to see an Enjoying The Small Things update in my blogroll!

Beautiful post, as usual! We have avoided Halloween candy so far, and I bought pretzles to give out. I figured left over pretzles are kinder to my hips than left over Reese’s cups!
I got a hyper toddler, stroller, diaper bag and camera all strapped onto my body. I love the red lillebaby Oslo bag that you have, totally rocks π
Where’d those cute mary jane’s come from? Love to get my hands on some of those!
I love your blog! You always make my day with your creative and witty way of writting about life’s everyday moments!
I would LOVE to win this diaper bag! I am the mommy of 4 girls and expecting….wait for it….a BOY in January. I have been searching High and Low for the perfect diaper bag and this is it π
I don’t need a diaper bag so please pick another if I randomly win . .
Just wanted to comment to thank you! I jumped over to your site to calm my jets as I felt every muscle tense at what seems like a work day filled with nothing but, well, muscle tensing behaviors.
Yay for the new post and instant muscle relaxation. Perfect in every way possible. My co-workers thank you!
Also, a tip on how to deal with the candy: binge – do it fast and eat ALL OF IT, then its all gone, then don’t buy it again. One day of sugar high, one day of sugar hangover, then back to same old same old.
Happy Thursday!
;o) Alison
You are so rocking out Florida Fall, and I so miss it. Can we make a trade. I will send you some Southern Ohio leaves if you can bottle up that 6:00 PM hint of Fall Florida air. That would so totally work, right??? Well, enjoy it for me then.
I’m with ya on the candy sneaking! :o)
Oh I love that diaper bag!
I also love the music you have on your blog everyday!!
I LOVE the cat and mouse costumes! Adorable! I really enjoy reading your blog π
I LOVE those sock feet, all the way to the knees! and your new header is gorgeous! Sooooo funny that Nella the cat is eating the mouse tail π
You’re writing is inspiring.
The photography is challenging me to learn how to create art with my photos.
Thank you for writing.

LOVE.THAT.BAG…and your blog! Your girls are the sweetest and I too have a 3 year old who has an imagination I only dream of still having. I hope it stays with her forever…and Lainey and Nella too!
Kelle, you sure have 2 sweet little girls there. Love reading about your adventures.
Holy crap. Um, I mean, oh my goodness, that is the best bag ever. Am with you on the red-ness. Sometimes other colours seem superfluous. But just sometimes.
And totally unrelated, I used to lick sound off when I opened your blog – now I often google the lyrics to find the song you’ve selected. Thanks!
Love the girls’ halloween costumes!
Love the girls’ halloween costumes!
Love your blog, hope I get picked!!!
Love your girls Halloween costumes!!! We have a new baby girl coming in 10 weeks – could surely use a snazzy new diaper bag :o)
I LOVE sock feet too!
Diggin’ the new header!! Can’t believe how fast this year has gone by!! & I love love love that you embrace so much of fall even though you’re in FL!
Your blog always makes me smile. Your girls are so lucky to have such a fun and present mother!
sock feet.. my fav! Also lovin the 4 plaid pics and lainey by the tree…
glad you’re finding a few moments to yourself to write.. can’t wait to read your book kelle! xoxoxo
Just bought a $3.00 Disney Princess backpack to replace the final diaper bag that broke. I would love a new diaper bag that could be easily organized. Grooving to your music today. Loving it.
New baby on the way, I would LOVE a new bag!
With an 8 week old baby I would love that bag! your photos and messages are very inspiring to me, thank you!
I love that bag! I’m heading over to the website now to scope out my favorite. I just had twins (my 3rd and 4th) and I am in desperate need of a good bag and since you’ve tested this one out, I trust you! Of course I’ll hold off on purchasing until Friday… Thanks!
Nella and Lainey get more beautiful everyday! Good diapers bags really are hard to find, even with the huge variety they have.
Loving the photo of Lainey in the golden sunlight.
LOVE the new header! Your girls are the most adorable little girls Ive ever seen!
That diaper bag is super cute! And I feel ya on the messy bags. I clean my diaper bag out once a week and my fiesty 2 year old always manages to throw all kinds of trash in there by the end of the next week.
Happy Fall!
dude, what happened to your bunny?
This diaper bag would either help me become amazingly organized or just give me even more places to lose things in the depths within!
As a mom who never quite has everything she needs right at hand, maybe this would help. π
Um…1) LOVE your topper. Seriously.
2) LOVE all the fall-ness you are finding/creating.
3) My friend has this bag and I have bag envy. Crossing my fingers.
love looking at your pictures and reading your posts! Such an inspiration.
I promise I am not commenting because I want to win the diaper bag for my best friend who’s daughter is my daughter’s best friend and designer-gened soul sister; who moved away in March and is now expecting her fourth (yes, fourth child!) leaving me here to worry about her without the help of her posse of our wonderful friends around her. π
I am actually commenting because your comment about the idea of living in Neverland with a little Peter Pan perspective really made me smile! It shows how far you have come in such a short time! Now, 7 years later, I am soo ok with the idea of my little Casey living with us, or, more likely, always being close by. But being an empty nester with my husband was actually one of the hardest dreams for me to let go. I now look forward to our future with our kiddos. So much fun ahead!
Can’t wait to see what Halloween brings to the Hampton house!
Love,
Angela
I haven’t commented yet, but I could use a new diaper bag. :o)
Love your photos, love your story, love your blog!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new header pics of your girls! And the bag, seems so perfect with kids….or not π
Oh my that is such a cute new header! I love the girls Halloween costumes.
Love the costumes. I also love Nella’s socks pulled up. Too cute!
I love the new header!
And I’m pregnant, so that would be a perfect thing to win now.
Kelle, I just love your blog. I have fallen in love with you and your beautiful family! Since I first read your birth story, I have been amazed and moved by your words and photos. Thank you for sharing.
Oh Kelle! I am RIGHT ON with you on the Neverland comment. I too have a sweet angel boy of 7 with “designer genes.” I was introduced to your blog after a friend sent me a link to Nella’s birth story just a few days after you wrote it. I was just in awe of your openness and authenticity during such a raw and emotional time of life change. Your description brought be back to a place and to emotion I hadn’t experienced in quite some time, but were so true. It was a place I was never anticipating having to revisit, yet somewhat satisfyingly cathartic. And of course, I would never turn back the hands of time as the love, devotion, connection is of such an indescribable depth and only gets more so overtime. So from one sister to another – I look forward to hanging out in Neverland with many dear friends that I would have never known otherwise.
Such cute girls! And great bag!
Your love of fall makes me remember to not take Ohio falls for granted. Thanks for reminding me of the small things!
love the pictures of your little beauties.. as usual!! the red diaper bag is SO you. i love it.
Hooraaaaaaaaaaay for giveaways! I’ve been looking for a new diaper bag. Why doesn’t my husband understand that after a year, it’s time to trade up??!?
Your posts make my day π
Carrie
love that bag! and so fun that it comes in red – what a find!
Your photographs, attitude, and outlook are so very inspiring. Thank you.
Your photos are amazing and I love the way you write! Keep up the great work!
I too am in love with the pretend play of my 3.5 year old, and my baby-to-be would be well served with such a perfect diaper bag!
I love your blog and I find myself looking forward to you updating it. Your girls are gorgeous.
I love your blog and I find myself looking forward to you updating it. Your girls are gorgeous.
Thanks for the beautiful post!
The header made my day. The girls are beautiful
Love the kitty and mouse costumes! Soon I will be sneaking candy out of my 3 year old’s stash and I can hardly wait!
I’m not so concerned about the diaper bag, I just have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE your mary-jane wedges. DIVINE
i love the new header too!! they look amazing adorable, and it is getting me excited for this weekend!!
I wish that someday I will learn to take pictures just like you do- the ones that capture the most incredible expressions of everyday life! Looks like a pretty awesome bag. I’m expecting my first baby soon and it would certainly be put to good use! Thanks!
I love fall colors and the gingham rocks!!! I have to say, the feet pictures you take are my favorite. There’s nothing more adorable than mommy baby feet.
Your pictures are amazing! i have an autistic 3 year old boy. I know all about good days and bad days.
Oh the Halloween candy…exactly why I will not buy any until Saturday, and hopefully give all that out Sunday, just to replace it with the loads my three kidlets will bring back home. I too sneak it when they are asleep.
I love your new header by the way…adorable! Have a great Halloween!
Love their halloween pics! Soooooo cute!
Jess
I promised that this year would be different – no sneaking into the Halloween candy. Oops. Sour patch kids and fuzzy peaches are my weakness and this year, I think I may have eaten them all already and therefore not have any of those types to hand out. Never fear, there’s a large bag of chocolate bars that I promise not to eat. Well, maybe just one…
Keep on doing what you do, Kelle. You truly are fabulous!
I already had to buy two new bags of candy to replace the ones that held “just one more” piece of candy. π Happy Halloween!
That diaper bag would be perfect for our fourth bundle of love in February. Red would really perk up the winter! And I love how you seem to soak up every ray of bliss in life.
Can’t wait to read your inspiring blog everyday and see your amazing photos. You make me inspire to be a better mommy every.single.day!
I love reading your blog. You inspire me!! I love that bag:)
Now I am headed to find that Halloween candy! Great costumes for the girls!

Love the new header! Also I can’t say enough about your take on life! Reading your blog is always a reminder to notice and enjoy the small things. π
your photography is beautiful! And yes please on the diaper bag:). Baby number four arrives in Feb., this would be such a sweet little spicy upgrade.
I meant . . . “I love bags almost as much as I love your blog” π
I meant . . . “I love bags almost as much as I love your blog” π
Oh, an organized diaper bag is something every mom NEEDS, but is definitely hard to come by!
Love, Love, LOVE the header!! Also loving the fact the under your bed looks just like mine…with an assortment of books stacked in piles π Oh, and I’m digging the outfit you are wearing in the picture with the diaper bag…too cute! Have a great day, Kelle!
Those costumes are adorable!!
THe new header is adorable…the girls look so sweet!!
Growing up in Brazil never allowed me to enjoy fall (it was either hot or super hot). Right now it is my favorite time of year. It is fun to see how you and the girls are enjoying it as much as I am.
I love it! Especially because it doesn’t look like a diaper bag. Great giveaway! And enjoy that Halloween candy while it lasts! π
I feel the same way about the magic of childhood. I love seeing my girls experience the joy of holidays!
I’m totally in love with your new header. The best part is Nella the kitten has Laney the mouse’s tail in her mouth!! Cracks me up. I too was thinking that man our lives are busy but putting it all aside to watch my son do a “trick” on his bike and chase my girls around the yard is so worth it. It’s because of you I have learned to slow down and enjoy my own small things!!
soooo loving your blog and most definitely loving that beautiful red bag!! happy to have found you online!! =)

love your blog! you have a sweet little mouse and kitty there– two things we were considering for our daughters to be.
and what a great giveaway!
Happy Fall! Your children are adorable!
Kelle, you posted loads of cuteness in this last post, but those shoes! (yours, not Nella’s) Where did you find those beauties? The bag would be nice too (please and thank you), but those shoes…love ’em!
The costumes and your girls are adorable. Got to love this time of year!
Thanks for sharing your love for everything. It’s inspirational!
Thanks for being a bright spot in my midweek!
Love the new header. Your girls are so sweet. Although I love my little boy with all my heart, you just don’t get the “cute” you do with little girls.
As for our halloween candy, it is hidden well, but is constantly calling to me as if I have forgotten about it. AS IF! Just desperately trying to ignore it.
The girls are so adorable in their Halloween costumes in your new header- love it!
And playing pretend with your little girl is the best thing in life! Enjoying the small things….
I read your blog religiously but rarely comment. I just wanted to say how refreshing it is to read and how beautiful and inspirational your pictures and words are! You have a most beautiful family π Happy Fall!
I have been reading your blog for a few months and you have the cutest kids. I love the new header you put up. Plus that red bag is so cute. I’m going to be a new mommy and this would be perfect.
I’ve had to hide our Halloween candy too… (like in the back of the highest cupboard that we have….) I feel the pain (not real pain…lol)
I love the halloween costumes!!
Love that you are sneaking in at night and going for the Halloween candy! Always love seeing pictures of your sweet angels, Nella is totally rocking the tube socks!
Heart melted just a little when I saw the sock feet picture : )
My two oldest girls are 16 & 14 and my little boy is 8..I was so thrilled to have a surprise blessing (she is now 2) and the opportunity to extend childhood in our home a little longer. Yay, for another 12 yrs of the American Girl Doll catalong being delivered to our box! π
Happy Fall ya’ll!!
Love the blog. Found it just yesterday and spent the evening perusing your archives. Beautiful!
There is nothing I need more in life right now than an organized diaper bag!
I love love love the flair for your wife beater! It is fabulously fall-ish.
LOVING the barefoot picture, the new header & the RED bag π
would *love* to win one!
my littlest little is 2 years 2 months 2 days today. the creative play is so enjoyable. i love it when she makes me cookies in her kitchen, or bandages an ailing stuffie. my biggest little is 11 and now her creative play is more future-oriented. a model- a biologist- an artist. the whole wide world awaits.

I love your perspective! It helps me keep it real as a mom.
Halloween candy is the BEST! I try so hard to not let my children eat too much but secretly I spend all day snacking away! One day they can do that too with their own kids π
Your new header is A D O R A B L E! I would love to win that bag!
I love reading your blog and that diaper bag is awesome. I would love to have one. Thanks for sharing your family with me.
This is just in time for the birth of my second son next month…I can NOT find a diaper bag with the right amount of pockets, zippers.
I just love your blog! We, too, have a January baby who is chromosomally enhanced! π Her name is Kherington (Kiki). Every time my oldest daughter, who is three, sees Nella on the computer, she says, “Baby Kiki!” π
LOVE LOVE the costumes!! So cute!!!!! Nella is getting soo big!!! Another beautiful post π
YEYY!!
yeps, us Scandinavians, especially the NORWEGIANS!!, know how to make cool baby-stuff!! (lillebaby.. Oslo)
Love your style Kelle!!
and your adorable kids♥
linnea (from Norway, not a state in The USA, but a rich little country in the North)
The last picture of Lainey is gorgeous!!
I too have a desk in the family room where I can watch my kids and type…as well as one in the bedroom for the few moments of quiet I get each evening!
Thanks for sharing your life, it’s inspiring.
Your girls are so adorable! Love the new header!
your comment about nella keeping your family in neverland a little longer than “normal” touched me. we, too, live with a daughter with special needs and as she approaches her 7th birthday on saturday, we remember to enjoy her candid and naked joy at the simplicities of life that others of this age start to take for granted. grace was our surprise, not unlike nella’s story, and over the years we have taken comfort and found peace in her unique view of the world and all of us in it. she truly centers us.
the analogy to peter pan is so appropriate and my friend, you have only begun to witness those wonders! π
A red diaper bag!! I L-O-V-E red!! I am loving the fall colors and the knit hat in the last post… Love it!
yeah your new header just totally made me smile…such cuteness!!
just give me your wordature–lol my new word for way with words…you’re so good at making words fall together!
Love the new header picture!!!
I love Nella chewing on Lainey’s tail! Little sisters!
Your girls are adorable! It is so much fun to read your blog!
Love the new header! Absolutely precious! I love me some Almond Joys too—ANY size!
One of my fave quotes– “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.”-Marilyn Monroe
You’re rockin’ the world with ALL your shoes, those hot red boots, the painful bowling shoes, some mary janes, and whatever else that happens to slip onto your feet!
Lovin’ the pics! Keep inspiring us all to do better, make better and be better! <3
I love the red! I’m due with my first (6 weeks to go!) and had to get a black diaper bag as a compromise with the husband π I’m thinking he can keep that one, and I need something more fun.
I absolutely LOVE the brown stars, gorgeous! Your photography is stunning. Your eye for art…just makes me smile…the colors warm my heart…
Bangkok Jan
Great pictures… as always. Love all of Lainey’s outfits – she’s so stylish. The diaper bag looks wonderful, and would be perfect for our new little bundle in February! π
These sock feet are unbelievable cute!!!
Adorable costumes ~ Happy Halloween!
I’d love it!
…and since I tell my two year old to “please say please” a million times a day, I’ll add…
PLEASE!!!
I think my husband would murder me if I had one more changing bag, but those look awesome!
Thank goodness we don’t seem to get trick or treaters here, or I would be buying “replacement” stocks of candy nonstop!
I wish we could go barefoot in October here (Seattle), but it is too cold and rainy. However, I am enjoying the weather – nothing like the smell of wet pavement! =)
Not a comment, but a question….
Where did you find the comfy quilty chairs??? Please post on your blog in case I cannot find the answer in the comment section.
Peace,
I’m eating halloween candy for 2 and would love that diaper bag to stash my wrappers… and diapers and wipes and sippies too, of course:)!
My 2 year old would say:
This is my most favoritest giveaway in ALL THE LANDS! not just the regular lands, but ALL the lands!!
Cuz I’m a purse freak and with 3 little people to carry stuff around for… let’s just say, you had me at “diaper bag giveaway.”
Of course, the odds are not in my favor… but here’s hoping!! π
and love those little socked legs sticking straight up in the air!! adorable!
We opted out of Halloween candy this year and went with play-dough…now we’re regretting our decision and candy is on the list for our Costco shop this afternoon!
I really need a new diaper bag! My current one is full of holes. Please pick me!!! π
Love the bag! I definitely need something like this since I have twin girls to keep me busy (and unorganized)! π
Love the bag! I definitely need something like this since I have twin girls to keep me busy (and unorganized)! π
Happy Fall! And I can’t stop eating the miniature kit-kats and whoppers. Cute new header too…love it…cat and mouse!
I just recently stumbled across your blog and love reading it! Your girls are adorable! It makes me excited to have a baby of my own this next April!
ahhhh, an organized diaper bag. I can dream, can’t I? I’ve got one disorganized bag with no dividers in it, or extra pockets and this is for my 3 yr old, twin 11 month olds and for the next one who is due in May! I could REALLY use a good diaper bag I think! That would be so nice to win. I love your photography by the way, your girls are adorable! I have all girls (so far) and it’s so sweet to see them playing together.

My goodness Kelle . . do you even have time to read these comments? LOL
I just found a great song to dance to with my girl. Maybe you’ve heard it, but man it’s so freaking great. “CLAP YOUR HANDS – BY SIA” Dance on!!

That is one serious diaper bag! I thought the dream of being organized now that I was a mama was long gone… turns out it just rests in the diaper bag!
Loving all the cute little checks!
Nella’s little sock-covered legs doing her pilates gets me every time… such intense cuteness really should be illegal.
π
Happy Halloween!
Kate
Thanks for helping me remember to stay present and watch each moment unfold. You’re so good at that!
PS. My “office” is also “jankety”. Great word. π
What an awesome bag – I have been looking for a great one for a long time and would love to have this as a Christmas gift for myself π
Snow has plagued my street, so…no barefoot in Oct for me. π I will live vicariously through your blog for my warm weather fix!!! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!!!
Love the bag. And I love Nella and Lainey “reading” the book together! So precious!
Halloween candy is not lasting much here either.
Love the new blog title header.. I recently changed mine to some pumpkins from a weekend visit to the patch. Now I just need to find some time to blog about our visit and post the pics! LOL
I love the photo of Nella eating Lainey’s tail in the header. She looks so innocent… like…What? YUM! π
This is going to sound completely clueless, but I’m always astounded when I see you and your girls frolicking in the grass or near the edge of a lake. Are alligators and fireants a worry? (My parents live in Florida and I don’t dare venture into their grass for fear of those sneaky creatures — ants and alligators. The lake that their property backs up to has two or three resident gators.) Just asking.
I love the sock feet!
Love your blog…and the bag! π
I love Nella’s gingham diaper cover! Your kids are perfection.
i love the new diaper bag and i am about to have my 3rd boy and could use a new bag! ps. love the girls’ costumes!
I love the Mary Jane feet!!! I love looking at your fall pictures, we have rain, rain, and more rain here in Oregon…. Brightens my day to see the sun and cute lil faces!
Would love that for my new little bundle π
Love the header! They look so adorable! And, I too, am going to stop eating Halloween candy…soon.
Great pics! Thanks for sharing
I love the picture of your girls reading together. It melts my heart when I catch those little moments.
the girls look fantastic in their halloween costumes! the random pics are fabulous! thanks for sharing!
I’m not to be trusted with a bowl full of sugar laden delights either, so I’ll be making a candy run on Sunday. Lovely photos as always. And, I think your make- shift cubicle looks just perfect. π
Love the costumes too…What fun this weekend will bring. Enjoy!
I’ve been enjoying Halloween candy too. π
urchiken at gmail dot com
i love that your mouse is bigger than your kitty π
i love the pic of the girls laying on the floor looking at books! Someday…. maybe I’ll stop eating Halloween candy too just not yet!
It was so lovely to open up your blog today and hear You and I by Ingrid. It sums up the excitement I feel about moving in together with my boyfriend. I’m a huge Ingrid fan, her tunes will definitely make an appearance at my wedding π
It is comforting to know that I am not the only one that works while my kiddos play and who understands the need to have those alone times! I just love your words…. and RED is my absolute favorite color… and I just happpppen to be in search of a diaper bag… hum!
I absolutely love the new header, so adorable! And I’m guessing it would be pretty awesome to be a kid in your house forever, you are truly one terrific mom!
Love the picture of your girls reading. And your girls look adorable on your new banner!
Thankfully… in my neighborhood, we don’t get trick or treaters. And as it is GA/FL weekend we will not be home, but will be going to a friends house to watch the game. Which means… as my daughter is only 9 months, that there is not candy in my house yet. Though I know this will change next year.
I would seriously love to win this bag. I HATE my current diaper bag, but I don’t want to go buy one, because I can’t ever find one that has enough pockets, because I think pockets make the world go round… : )
I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday!
Your littles are so beautiful π
Your littles are so beautiful π
I would love to win one of these and give it away to one of my sisters. My baby is 4 and I am out of diaper bag stage, but have a few friends I would love to surprise with one.
What a great mid-week pick-me-up!
Lovin’ the new header! TOO CUTE!
I recently spilled an entire bottle of day-old formula in my diaper bag….oy vey.
this daiper bag intrigues me…i’ve given up on finding the perect diaper bag…however, i’ve never heard of these…
I love that you take the time to take so many pics of your girls… I really need to make the time to do the same.
I absolutely love the new header of your girls in their Halloween costumes!
Yeah for finding that balance of work, work with kids around, work for just Momma when she needs to be a woman alone, dropping everything and playing and making sense of it all.
To you and the sun: bravo.
love the new bag! We just got the call today saying that we had been matched with a birth mother. (we’re adopting!) baby is due in 2-3 weeks … would love to have a diaper bag to fill with all kind of sweet goodies my little girl will be needing. :0)
I’d love a new diaper bag!
I love all the new pictures!
While I’ve been a lurker on your blog for quite a while, I’ve never posted a comment. Today, that changes. I look so forward to reading the accounts of life Chez Hampton and seeing the pictures of your beautiful brood. Lainey is such a charmer and Nella…gosh, she gets more beautiful every day. Thanks, Kelle, for keeping it real for all of us! (Kaetlyn’s Mom)
JUST found out I’m pregnant this week for the first time! We started “trying” just this month…I am in awe and so thankful for this gift. I was “30 and Kidless”…NOT NO MO! And could my gut be protruding already?
LOVE the diaper bag!!
I need diaper bag organization in my life!
Sweet post… always look for ward to them.
Oh, I just love “jankety” table!! I love how you sneak in to eat the Halloween candy. Too funy! and so REAL. Love the photos as always.
Your blog posts always make me smile. Your stories and experiences have inspired me to do so much. Your girls are absolutely beautiful and their sweet smiles just melt my heart π
love the bag….LOVE your blog and pictures!
Sissel in Oslo, Norway π
To KAYLEEN** Love your comment. Wow, you are just 15?! You sound so mature; I just love what you wrote!
Reading updates on your blog always makes my heart smile π The girls are looking happy and beautiful as always π
I love the kids’ Halloween costumes! I’m in the process of finishing up my daughter’s Halloween costume (puppy because she’s OBSESSED with them these days) and I took a break from sewing to read your blog. So awesome. Keep up the great work, Kelle. I don’t know how you do it all!
LOVE the picture of the girls reading a book together! Nella seems to be looking at Lainey like, “Yes, big sister? What’s next?” Precious!! (And I don’t like double exclamation points, so you know it’s awesome!)
-Lela
OK, I will give you a glimpse into who Kelle is. When she was a little girl and went out trick-or-treating with her big brother and sister, when she got home she would pour the contents of her bag onto the floor and let her brother and sister take their pick of her goodies…you see, she found more joy in making them happy than with her candy. Strange, huh!? So she was stuck with all the hard candy and the weird stuff nobody wanted…but with the happiness of knowing her brother and sister had found something in her bag they loved. I am afraid she is still that way and remind her that sometimes, it is perfectly alright to put yourself first. Others do. I am the 1092nd commenter…you snooze, you lose!
I’m going to quit eating Halloween candy really soon too, really I am! Love the sock feet and mary jane feet… so cozy… so fall!
sweet little smiles behind those cute costumes! Happy Halloween!
Great Blog, as usual. Love Nella’s lil blond hairdo!!
I love EVERYTHING about this blog. Thank You for making my day brighter!!!!
It is always such an inspiration everytime I visit your blog. The vivid pictures and the scenes you took photos of are truly exceptional. May you continue to bring inspiration to everyone!
love love love the gorgeous red bag!!!! <3
There is no shame is using a diaper bag as a purse, right??
Worship your blog.
Love the picture of the girls reading together! One of my favorite things is watching my son “read” and talk gibberish while he’s looking at the pictures. Love it!
Love your blog, look forward to your posts and pictures every day. Your kids are just too adorable!
Lovin the white sock feets! Nothing like seeing my little guy run around in nothing but knee high white tube socks and his diaper. And barefoot in October is not too odd for this cali girl.
LOVE the diaper bag. I paid all too much money for a handmade bag only to tear on me π
Your photography is amazing as always. Love Nella’s sock feet in the air. Whatta doll!!
I have been searching etsy for a new diaper bag!!! I love it!!!
Love the pic where Nella is eating Lainey’s tail! Pick me for the bag, I am always hopelessly disorganized with my Son’s supplies.
Cute bag – I need a new one! I LOVE the two chairs on either side of Nella in that one picture!
I want! I want!!
I love the way you make me see nature in different ways — the sun’s recital and the wheat-colored stars.
Also, all the different angles you shoot from give very cool perspectives on your kids and life.
Love the pic of Nella with her socked legs perfectly
extended in the air. I wish I could still do that!
Oh where to start?! I love the new header, and those great pink shoes (!) and that awesome bag! I thought that I was the only one with those diaper bag problems -glad to hear I’m not as strange as I thought I was!
Absolutely love your blog – I am addicted to your writing and photos of your adorable daughters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a Nana of a 17 month old girl so I am absolutely loving this. She also has her own blog (my daughter that is). You are the most creative person I’ve come upon – You should write a book eventually :o)
i just know you made those adorable Halloween costumes for your girls! so cute. can’t wait to see more.
I just put on socks.
I live in MN, and finally had to put on socks.
The galeforce winds have stripped all the leaves, and 3 days of wet weather has removed all rustle-y crunchy wonder from the land. Winter is coming.
I am just not ready to retire my Birks. 9 months prego with baby #5 has made sockless in sandals much more my style. π But baby is also coming. And I could really use a new (and hot!) diaperbag, right about now.
ps. I love those little sock-y feet. Just makes ya wanna nibble some chunky monkeys. mhm.
OMG!!! I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect diaper bag….and wouldn’t you know it, you’ve found it! AND IT’S RED. I’m in love.
Oh, so cute. Sure beats the diaper dude bag we’ve been using! Fingers crossed!! π
Every momma needs a little red to accessorize with while also organizing the zillion diapers, sippy cups and random toys that make a child sit still in a Dr Office =).
<3 your blog
I wish I was your neighbor so we could be friends and our girls could be friends.
love your blog
love your blog
love love love love your blog Kelle!
Love reading your post often!! BTW I am SO jealous of the bare-feet in October!! We live in the Pacific NW and bare-feet come to an end at the end of September π
Amberdenie at aol dot com
Love the new header! And love your outfit when you are showing off that bag. Also, love the flower that is sprucing up your tank. I think I might have to do that…
I would love a new diaper bag… third child and my bag looks like it’s been used twice before.
Love your pics and your site!
We’re planning to start a family now. The diaper bag would be a great addition to our work-in-progress nursery-to-be!
Love the flower pin also….definitely going to have to get one of those.
I love your perspective and the way you love you family and your life.
I also hate my diaper bags and I think your new one is gorgeous! π
I keep coming back to your blog, such inspiration! Keep sharing your story!
I have those Black Shoes!!! Lol… I love your blog… It is truly inspiring. I hhave been reading it for quite a while now. You are one strong mommy!
So adorable! Love the bag.
Go Gingham! More things should come in gingham. Like ballet flats. That would be stupendous.
Ohhhh, pick me! Pick me! Baby #2 is on the way and I would love to find a diaper bag that I can truely be happy with.
Oh, that last picture of Lainey is so sweet!
I love the fall piece you can wear on your shirt or hair. Nella’s white feet in the air is too cute.
Your blog is a breath of fresh air!I love it! What a beautiful family you have!
Nella is just so darn cute! I just want to steal her for some cuddles, won’t worry I would give her back!

I am utterly in love with all of your photographs. Please teach me how to take photos like you. PLEASE. I will fly to Florida tomorrow!
Love this part of today’s post “Our neighbor came over last night and, ten minutes into conversation, he goes, “You okay? You seem really hyper.”
It’s called trial-sized Almond Joys, Dude.”
Gotta love this time of year!!
Oh! That bag would be perfect for my first grandchild who is due in 9 weeks!
As a mom to be I would so love to be organized and ready and this is a step in the right direction. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us.
Love it all! Cutest girls on this earth! THank you for hosting such a great giveaway π
I love your photos and blog. I’m officially addicted. I look to your blog for inspiration that “I too can do this” (I have a 2 month old DS baby).
Random comment: you make me want to bloom better where I am planted. New baby due on my birthday and we would love the bag.
Candy is not safe in our house either. In fact, I’m going to need to pick up some more for Halloween π
You are rocking that red diaper bag Kelle! I would love to win that bag for my sister who is due next month!
thanks for the perspective! your girls are beautiful!
I love the girls Halloween costumes! Are they homemade? They are going to have so much fun trick-or-treating!
Wow! That bag! It has everything a cool mama could want! Love your new space too!
*drool* red diaper bag. Although I no longer carry one as my kids are growing up my dearest friend of 20 years is finally pregnant after a long road with infertility and that bag would make a great gift!
and loving that green dress π
The picture of your two littles reading together is priceless. I am hoping that when my next little shows up in April that my little princess will adore the new addition just as much as Lainey adores Nella.
uhm, I would love this bag–almost as much as I love your blog!
You make me never want to put my camera down! Capturing all the beautiful moments in life is what it’s all about!
I’m three kiddos in and let me tell you my various diaper bags look it. A new bag would be fantastic!
Just the other night I was commenting to my husband about the wanting a child forever thing. I feel like our son-although he is just 2-is growing up entirely too fast. I said I now understand why grandparents become so excited to have grandchildren…they have had that in between stage since their kids grew up that they have been waiting and longing for the magic of a young child to enter their lives again. It truly is amazing. Sometimes I stare at my son sleeping in his crib or snuggled up next to me on my own pillow and simply want to stop time so I can smell his sweet, little boy scent forever, hear his funny words for things that make sense to him, listen to his sweet voice singing the many songs he has learned and just never, ever grow up.
And p.s. that diaper bag is amazing. I have a wee one on the way for January 11th and it would make getting out of the house and about so much better!
Loving the fuschia shoes! π
Love the red diaper bag and your purple shoes are cute, too. As usual the girls are adorable.
Your daughters are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your life!
As someone who is always looking for ways to make life easier, this would be amazing! I have two kids and get tired of luggina around a huge diaper bag, when really, I only need a few essentials!
Pst…red is my fav color too π
Kelle,
Absolutely LOVE your blog. I read it everyday! I am 7 months pregnant with my first child and I couldn’t be MORE excited but I am terrified and in that “new mom” mode where I have no idea what to get, use, what is safe, and what I will eventually need! Your blog has helped me calm down and focus on the necessities! The lillebaby Oslo bag looks amazing! Definitely on my list of things to get!
Any ideas on Maternity wear? I have been struggling to look cute but not ridiculous! Keep posting because we will all keep reading : )
Sydney
Can you believe it…..we haven’t purchased halloween candy in years. We are never home. Otherwise the poor kiddos would get nothing because I’d end up eating it all before Halloween.
I hope your Halloween ROCKS!
When I read this, I strive to be a better momma! Thank you…and we’ll have that chance, baby number 5…3 girls an angel baby and now our new arrival will complete our family!
We’ve (read: I’ve) been through three bags of Halloween candy and we’re not even going to be home to for Trick or Treating!
first time commenting- love your blog
Oh love that bag! Pick me! π
The header pictures are as cute as ever!! adorable
Love looking at your pictures! Looks like you are a very fun Mom.
Love keeping up with you and your family! Very refreshing! Love the Halloween costumes!
Your girls grow sweeter and cuter each time I check your blog!
As a mom of twin girls, I NEED that bag! Like you, I have all these little bags with too small diapers and dirty tissues. I hope I win!!
I love, love your blog. Your girls are gorgeous, and I think you are an amazing mother.
I am totally loving your pink shoes too!

Your pictures and words will put a smile on my face every time!!
Happy day …
Love your sweet girls! You have a way with your words. I look forward to every post!
Mmmmm… New diaper bag!
The little Mary Janes kill me π
your posts are like a breath of fresh air, just makes me want to drop everything i am doing and go squeeze my little one!
as always the girls are super cute.. totally priceless! Thank you for the opportunity to win a bag! Love it! Sarah
My favorite thing that you wrote: believe me, it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer for our family.
I will smile and think of this often.thanks for that. π
I wish I could take pictures as beautiful as yours – I look at your blog for inspiration. And, I’m expecting my first little one so that lovely diaper bag would certainly come in handy!
Love your pictures. I love the clothes your little girls wear. How do you find the time to find such cute things and match/put them together?
Would love a diaper bag like that! I think I’m on my fifth bag- fifth bag?! with only two kids that are under the age of 2. How does that happen?!
Clearly, I need a new one. π
Beautiful pics! The bag is too cute- it would go with my red shoes! π
Hey Kelle! I just wanted to let you know of this cute youtube video I saw and thought of you. It is a sweet tribute to a precious down syndrome girl from her brother. It is too cute. I hope you like it…. I love your blog and love reading about your adventures.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b7y9UYt_fM&feature=player_embedded

Love the new header, what cute costumes! I’m with you on the Halloween candy, I learned my lesson last year and am waiting until Sunday afternoon to buy our stash.
Woo hoo love your blog site. I would love to win the bag for my pregnant daughter. I am in Australia is that ok??? have a wonderful day. xxxx
What a genius bag! And just in time, my baby is due in February!
xoxo
Love your blog, and the header with the girls in their costumes is adorable!
Love the new header! What cute lil kitties! π
Oh my gosh– Nella chewing on Lainey’s tail made my week!!! I have some handsome little guys up here in Ohio when the girls get older and start dating!!! Tommy is 2 1/2 and Joey is 2 months old (with one extra chromosome). π Happy Halloween!
Can we talk about how chaos is so beautiful? The randomness of life? I love your blog.
Hehe. My tender toes are sinking in the 3 inches of snow we have!!!!
Love the new header. I also love Mary Janes and my daughter has about a million!!! Nothing cuter on a little girl!
Thanks for taking the time out of your full day to share your life. You have inspired many and touched folks you dont even know about!!! Keep rolling and enjoying every small thing!!
Your girls are beautiful. Peeking into your amazing life through this blog somehow slows me down and reminds me to enjoy the small things. Thank you for that and may God bless you and your family always. π
J.Anne
p.s. Is Nellabean crawling? *cheering and jumping up and down* She really is a little present from heaven!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Loving the new header!
My sister and her new little will LOVE that bag! And, I would be the best sister/auntie in the world for winning it!! Go me! π
Week’s almost over!
the cuteness factor is blowing it’s lid! your girls are sweet!!!!!
that bag looks amazing!!!! π thanks!
Another beautiful post! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us!
Love your style Kelle! I want to run out and buy pink shoes to wear with a green dress π
Those babies are looking more and more beautiful…I’m expecting so I’d love the gift!!
I love your blog, thank you so much for sharing! Your girls are absolutely adorable. I have been lingering on here so I can listen to your music, so many great songs! Have a great Halloween. Warm Regards.
ooohhh, the pictures are killing me! cat and mouse! bah! I am slayed, so so precious. and that bag? AWESOME!
My favourite line of the day: it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer. Beautiful!
Love the bag! Need one!
Oh, please please please please pick me? Pretty please with a cherry…er…pumpkin on top?
Love your photos, love your girls, love that bag!
So fun to see the world through your eyes!
My bed looks just like yours! I put everything under my bed!!!
I just love your blog, your writing style, your pictures and your zest for life! Keep enjoying those small things – I appreciate you taking time to let us all in your happy world π
oh – so could use a bag with little pockets – mine is an abyss right now and my keys get lost every day! love your posts!
Love your confessions about the halloween candy. Glad I’m not the only one raiding the stash that’s suppose to be for the trick-or-treaters! The diaper bag is gorgeous, btw.
Would love to have that bag!! our newest addition was born a week ago and right now I am toting around two diaper bags and a purse… totally disorganized! I definitely polished off our Halloween candy stash! Haha! I am waiting to replenish it until the last minute so I don’t have time to eat it!!
Yes, a real diaper bag is in order for me, too. The current one is ripping at the seems and a terrible mess. Love all those pockets and the fantastic color. You have two incredibly sweet little girls. Btw, I love the pattern on your chairs in the picture of Nella sitting on the floor. Brilliant!
That carrier looks nice. Is it good for warm weather? I live in Texas and wearing my two month old in the Moby is quite warm at times! The bag is awesome, too! Pick me! π
OMgoodness…forget the bag, I want your pink wedge shoes!! I am in love with them! Please disclose the source!!
Thanks Kelle
xoxox
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your blog- you capture the beauty of your life so well with your photos and your words… Happy Fall from Oregon!
I LOVE that bag! SO so cute. And I also love Nella’s little glasses. So precious. I have a little boy and girl who both got glasses by the age of 2 (they are now 5 and 2 1/2) and so I know the stresses of trying to find frames that fit their tiny faces and trying to keep them in decent shape! But she sure looks adorable in them. I love your blog.
I’m a new reader; well, a new follower anyway. I read your post about Nella’s birth story on a different website and searched for your blog. I love it!! Beautiful babies!
Thank you for this blog! You have a beautiful family and are a true inspiration to me to also enjoy the small things. I love those mary janes that nella is wearing, where did they come from?
Love Nella’s Pedipeds!
Halloween candy is my downfall. I’m so bad with it that tonight at work when we did trick-or-treating for the kids they made me pass out little toys instead of candy! They figured I would eat it all and they were probably right.
Love the photos π
Just returned from China with our 3rd child and would LOVE a bag with lots of pockets!!!! π
As I’m sure hundreds of other readers have commented…absolutely love the header!! I so wish I had your creativity and photography skills but must say, because of your blog I think my limited photo skills are getting better. Wooo, that was quite the run-on sentence. So here’s hoping for a free awesome diaper bag π
I can’t wait for our first good cool front-I like sweaters and flip flops in November in Naples :)I am mourning the loss of stolen Halloween candy-mine 2 babies are almost grown-it doesn’t taste the same if it doesn’t come out of a pillowcase hidden from your sibling under the bed…
Love, love, love the new header! Gorgeous girls!!
Your little girls just make my heart smile:] I absolutely adore the header of “cat and mouse” and just all the pictures you post:] Beautiful, the moments you capture!
I get the privilege of working with pediatrics for school this semester! I love every minute, and I do plan on working in Pediatrics Oncology in just a few short months when I graduate. :]
As a former reading teacher and mommy, I have gotta tell you I LOVE the pic of Nella and Lainey reading together….pulls at the heart strings π
Loving the new diaper bag – and the halloween candy too! My girl found her feet this week; surprisingly got her big toe in her mouth too! Thanks for the smiles.
Man,I’m jealous of the Florida fall weather! Looks beautiful there. The bag looks awesome too : )
I was looking through your latest posting and noticed right away that our babies are wearing the same outfit! The little brown onesi with a flower print and brown pants. It is funny how our kids hundreds miles away and still wear the same thing.
Could Lainey and Nella get any cuter? I love the picture of Nella by herself holding onto the book…the expression on her face is so beautiful and comical at the same time!
Halloween candy is not safe in our house either…It just something about those snack sizes that calls my name….
Your girls are adorable as always π
I am distracted by your wall of photos in the background of one of your pics. I need to copy that idea in my new house, which we move into in two weeks! There, that is my random comment of the day.
I’m pretty random :o) who knows I may just win!
xc
I haven’t had the chance to visit your blog in awhile…oh my goodness..Nella has grown! Your girls are so beautiful! Love the new bag..especially in Red!
Every picture of your children makes me smile…big! Love your blog:)
I LOVE the little Mary Jane shoes! TOO CUTE! I also love your colorfully upholstered chairs too. Thanks for giving us a wonderful dose of Nella and Lainey today!
Shut up @ the tube socks – LOVE!
Love the new header. π
Love the bag…would love it even more if it were mine. Hehe.
I think my favorite thing about your blog is how you’re able to capture the beauty in every day things, and share it with us through your pictures and your words. Just beautiful.
Love the gingham pics. And the candy pic– i totally polished off my 10 month olds candy from our Zoo Trick or Treat in one sitting!
I love that little flower clip…off to buy one, or two…(or three!)
And I’m seriously jealous of the bare feet in October, I’m preparing myself for snow in the next few weeks and you’re barefoot! no fair lol.
I just love how your so positive everyday. thank you for that. And i love playing pretend too…
OMG….those little legs up in the air are priceless!!!
and I have a candy wrapper pile right next to me right now!! I can’t say no…..!!!!
I love that diaper bag! I’m about 5 months pregnant and recently decided with my husband I would be a stay at home mom. It’s so scary to think about as we will be taking a huge pay cut and have no family to help but I can’t wait for all those amazing moments I will share with the little one inside me. I love reading your blog you are very inspiring.
The girls look adorable in their costumes! What an awesome bag!
I love the pic of Nella in her long white socks looking up at you, so adorable!
To MAMAWHOHEARSAWHO – I just wanted to comment on your comment about Kelle using the term “wife-beater” for her ribbed tea/tank top. I am sure that Kelle does not condone wife-beating or any form of violence/abuse of women or any other person. I know this is a slang term for those tops, and has been around a long time. Yah, I guess it would be great to refer to it differently. Believe me, I now that, for I have had a close family member murdered by her partner. But, again, I know that Kelle did not mean to imply in any way that she condones violence. TO KELLE and all – Love Halloween. The ‘littles’ of the family: 4 month-old baby girl is gonna be Tinker Bell and her 2 yr-old brother is gonna be Peter Pan. SO reminded me, when I read your comments about childhood!
Does your little bunny have teeth?
oooh i feel it is my lucky day! π
i actually thought that same thing the other day about my bug… that extra chromosome is like my very own fountain of youth!
Love, Love, Love your photos. Bottom line, YOU ROCK!
woaw! i am late to comment. full of tears cause my 3 week old is not gaining enough weight with my inadequate boobs. but, i always feel better after looking at your photos & reading your words. π
I’m with you on the the tiny Almond Joy’s, that just means you have to eat twice as many!
Already had to buy additional candy
today. Not even a big candy eater, what is it about Halloween?
My little guy turns two on Halloween, so excited, and yet can’t believe it has been two years already.
I tote a $7 beach bag as a diaper bag and I have a 4mth and a 2.5yr old! No pockets and filled to the brim with two different sized diapers, as well as pull-ups and underwear for when we’re feeling brave!! Could do with some pockets! Kelle, those patchwork chairs in your playroom are to die for btw, as are your girls of course!
I came across your blog, and just love. The pictures, the music, the inspirations. You are amazing. π
Love the header. Love the playlists…thank you thank you thank you for turning me on to Ingrid Michaelson! Love the way you love the small things!!

I’ve been out of town without much access to internet so I just had a lot of reading to do. Love the new header, costumes and LOVE how Nella lays on her back and sticks her legs straight up in the air. Soooo cute π
The the halloween costumes π Super cute! Your blog always brings a smile to my face and reminds me to SLOW down and enjoy the small things, thanks!
I actually don’t need to win the giveaway, but wanted to say that I have a May 07 3.5 yr old (and a 12 mo old!) and the imagination is AMAZING. He talks during his “quiet time” in his room for 2 hrs non-stop pretending. So fun.
Hi Kelle,
I continue to love your blog! It often makes me smile.
Tonight on the radio Delilah was talking about balcony people…the kind of people that cheer you on, toss roses and share kudos off stage. I hope that you have plenty of ‘balcony people’ in your world. Wouldn’t the world be a great place if everyone had that?
Goodnight from Grand Rapids…
jodi:)
Adorable picts of your girls and the chance to win a sexy bag? Yes please! π
The new header pics are adorable! I love them. You’re blog makes my day so much better. Love the bag, it’s totally cute π

my home schooling is catching up on me.
still laughing.
Is there anything cuter than baby feet? Gorgeous, loved this post π
Just wanted to say that your posts make me really happy. They make me appreciate beauty.
What a lovely diaper bag! The whole “hiding the candy” is so me. I feel your pain! π
Your eye for blessings is beautiful.
Thanks for always leaving me smiling, your a breath of fresh air. I’m always so happy when I see you have a new post up,that means new pics of your precious littles. I know it’s going to be a great day when Kelle has a new posting. I love, love, love Nella’s glasses.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who sneaks Halloween candy! Love that red bag!
I am in DESPERATE need of a new diaper bag. Please oh please pick me!
Seeing little Nella makes me realize there is good in the world. I want to just squeeze those cheekers and nibble those toes!!! My daughter Cecilia is exactly one month older, and I know that would be bffs, with their combined joy melting the hearts of many….
holy comments batman!
i swear nella changes with every post! angel! and miss l is looking more like a little girl and not so much a toddler! i know, i will now bit my tongue π
lishyloo
Part of this post almost makes me wish I lived somewhere other than the middle of no where. I have no reason to buy Halloween candy! No cute little trick or treaters come knocking on our door. And I have to say I could def use a new diaper bag. Mine doesn’t hold cloth diapers very well!
Love the sweet baby toes, costumes in the headers, purple wedges, and the bag!
loove the bag! π
& love reading your updates! you are truly amazing and your girls are adorable! π
Always love the knit items on you and the girls….I could really use a grandma/aunt/friend/anyone who loves to knit and give away cute presents to adorable little girls. Know anybody like that? π Marissa
love the cat and mouse, red bag, and halloween candy!!
Love the bag! Thank you for this giveaway. I would love to win this for my new baby.
Sisters are something, and having three girls… oh, my heart melted at the photo of sisters reading together… And you shocked me with your cuteness change of your header… Ah, LOVE!
Love your blog! Thanks for the fun giveaway!
I’m thinking baby bag pockets are calling my Christmas present pile’s name! My baby sister’s diaper bag (yes, 22 year age difference!) definitely has the Kleenex, chap stick, fake cell phone, monsters under the bed feel at the bottom.
I’m loving that I am not the only one with so much on my plate and dropping it all to just “be” with my kids. I’ve found that when I don’t do the laundry or the dishes, they are still sweetly waiting for me the next day. They are kind like that.
Lovely pics!
Here’s my comment…maybe the random integer generator will pick me!! I’d be thrilled to win a new diaper bag. I’m expecting my second child any day now and I need a bag that’ll keep me, a 1 year old, and a newborn organized!
I love reading your blog. Your narrative voice is amazing.
Seriously loving the diaper bags with multiple pockets. And I loved clicking on the Scandinavian Child website – it’s like IKEA for kiddos.
Could a fabulous bag organize me? Probably not, but it sure would be nice to give it a go π
You are an amazing photographer! The one of Lainey sitting on the tree is fantastic!
Love your blog. Your girls are gorgeous. I’m 20 weeks pregnant, due in March with my first baby and would really love a diaper bag that could keep me organized:-)
Sara P
I am sitting here smiling, at the red bag, as I sit here in OSLO (as in the capital of Norway!) of all places, and it is Friday morning here, not so in FL, but still!
I am beginning to believe in the magic of coincidence and connections, my world growing smaller for each day!
Sending you and your kidlets a big smile on a happy Friday!
There’s a girl who works at the library with a special extra chromosome.. She reminds me of nella… She’s got the sweetest heart and most beautiful smile.
ps. Love the pink shoes.
Pps. Expecting my first baby in June! Woohoo!
Beautiful photos!! Your girls are adorable!
I want that bag with the green dress and purple shoes please. Can you do a giveaway for all of that? Great. Thank you.
Sometimes it’s so hard for me to drop everything and hang with my girls…because it is all SO IMPORTANT but then I do it and I think no. THIS is important.
xo
I love the photo of Lainey reading to Nella and the one of Nella with her legs up! So adorable.

God bless XOXO
I love that bag!
You and your girls are so incredibly gorgeous!
LOVE the new blog header. Your girls are scrumptious and I love how you capture the magic of everyday with little ones.
I very much look forward to reading your posts and gaining new perspectives and appreciation for the small things.
With two little ones underfoot I could sure use a beautiful new bag to make it ‘look’ like I have it all together!

LOVE the post, and LOVING even more that my littles birthday is Friday, technically today, it’s her first and it’s hard to believe that it has already been a year!
Love the diaper bag, especially since my Carter diaper bag is almost on it’s last leg of being filled to the brim.
Thanks for the post!
<3 From Indiana! π
Ok, first of all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog.
Second, I have a question – where did you get those adorable quilted chairs? They are in the picture behind Nella who is sitting on the floor. If you get a chance, please let me know.
Thanks!

your kiddos are just so dang cute!
Amazing pictures, as always. Your girls are beautiful, as always. I would love a great diaper bag. That would be something new at our house.
oh no! Halloween candy is a death trap. Its just always around! Even after Halloween the leftovers never seem to go away! I absolutely love Nella’s Mary Jane’s, such cute feet!
You daughters are beautiful and I am it is beautiful to watch Lainey’s imagination unfold.
Happy almost Halloween! π
whoopie! i’d love this!!!
I found your blog through an online forum I participate in. It was only a couple of weeks before I gave birth to my own daughter (at the end of February) when I read about the birth of your beautiful Nella.
I will admit, your story terrified me at first, but it has turned out so beautifully. You are the best Mom!
hamiharri at gmail.com
The new header is great. LOVE that Nella is chomping on Lainey’s tail! I thought I could save myself this year by buying Halloween candy the day of, but my little had a halloween party at preschool today…and all her treats are gone. She only got two while I snuck the rest!!!
I love the photos and your writing, as always! I must buy candy that I don’t like, otherwise it’ll all be gone before Halloween!
Your babies have the most beautiful smiles! Love ending my day with a bowl of ice cream and your post!
I hope that one day, I can be just as talented as you in the world of photography.;)
What a cool looking diaper bag!
Man, Nella’s hips are crazy-flexible!
I love that you eat that much candy. π I’m right there with you!
I’m a brand new subscriber and already in love with the beauty and sweetness of your blog! I also am four months pregnant and overwhelmed by all the gear on the market. I love your suggestions for these products: streamlined, multiple uses, and beautifully designed.
Beautifully written as always.Love the Halloween costumes!
As always your post Rocks… and so does that diaper bag. I’m going to be an Auntie for the 15th time, to first time parents (my brother-in-law) and this would be such be a great gift to HR them started.
I have been searching for a diaper bag.. Its so hard to choose I do not want ot pay 60+ dollars for a bag I will hate… I want please and thank you!!
I love it! Watching them grow and learn-and even doing it too! Super cute header and I love seeing Litte Miss Nella in her glasses. Such a doll!

I love reading your blog, and when there are new updates π I love the pictures that go with the blog too! My favorite picture is the sock feet one π I giggled because it was so cute!
WOW I have never seen a wheat star before, so pretty!

Love, love, love your pictures, and your inspiration. The bag is beautiful and who wouldn’t want some organization? I need that bag!!! Blessings to you and your family.
I’ve been without the internet at home for just over a week now and out of all the sites I visit on a daily basis I missed your blog the most! I’ve just had the net reconnected about 20 minutes ago and the first place I came?? Here! lol.. So happy to be back and reading about your beautiful life x

you are an inspiration with your honesty. thank you!
You always remind me how great life can be…
Up all night last night with my sick little Jack. And now I’m at work reminding myself that I can rally! π
There is always something in your posts that resonates with me! While visiting family in Ohio, my brother got my 3 1/2 year old a knight costume. Over coffee my brother and I talked about how intense this period of childhood is and how we wished we could go back for just one day and remember what it felt like jumping on pillows to avoid shark infested carpets. But when I look out the kitchen window and see my son and “little” brother sword fighting in a field surrounded by curious sheep I’m slapped by deja vu. Long live Peter Pan! Thanks for your post π
Love the new header! Can’t wait to see your Halloween post!
I’m also trying to find my “5 minute space” that every SAHM needs. Happy Halloween!
Love the flower clip!!! I wish I could pull something like off. I also love that red diaper bag.
Totally with you on the neverlandishness of having a kid with the extra chromosome! It is a delight, a pleasure for those of us who revel in every developmental stage and say- oh I wish they could stay at this age longer! Of course I’ve said that every year! I love watching the stages and events unfold in a leisurely way rather than the flashes of a typical kid.
You never fail to captivate me with your words and pictures. Your have a beautiful family!
love the red! that gingham diaper cover is lovely.
I need the bag! Pick me! And red…my favorite color!
Just picked up Memory for my daughter and can’t wait to see her little face focused in concentration and she works to ‘remember’. Happy Fall!
You’re a great phtographer, and an even better mom! I really enjoy reading your blog and seeing your amazingly optimistic take on life and love!
I love your little cat and mouse. So cute! We have a little 19 month old dragon at our house this year. I love little kids in their costumes.
Adorable pictures! Thanks for the reminder to drop the “to do” list for special moments with the kids.
i so love that you too have diaper bags with crumpled receipts & overflowing sippys in places you forget. your blog is like a morning cup of coffee ~ and your playlist keeps finding its way to my itunes π
I know why so many people follow you.. including my sister who does NOT have a blog and I do.. and she says.. sorry I only follow one blog and that is kelle hampton I know why.. because your dad… and you have a way you express things in writing.. that is magical to read… It’s like a good book, a fairy tale… or a travelor…type magazine… Love your description of sample size almond joy dude…
***love the color red… for you and that great bag.
happy almost Halloween.
That is one kick ass diaper bag and the fact that it’s red is just icing on the cake.
p.s. You’ll have to let us know how you made those costumes for Nella and Lainey…too too cute!
such an adorable bag π i also love your shoes!
Bonne Maman jam is seriously amazing!
And that diaper bag is awesome. I too have multiple that I rotate through and never find satisfaction.
a friend of mine just turned me onto your blog and I must say that I am (blush) in LOVE. Thank you for the few minutes of the day when I can read that someone else ‘gets it’ too.
My sister, that’s 22 with designer genes, still has a great imagination. And its never annoying, even knowing that most 22 year olds should be cramming for last year of college exams or sipping coffee in Starbucks because its cool. Even though she is very independent and does “older” adult things, we very much love that she is still a pretender. It brings out the kid in all of us.
I know the world of DS can be scary, and even though there are still some bumps ahead, know, that no matter what, Nella will always, always be such a joy. There’s just something about that magic chromosome. We call it the “eternally happy and loving chromosome” because literally…they are just joyful. And they make you feel joyful just by being around them. My family sometimes jokes that how the world views them as something that went “wrong” in pregnancy to come out with DS, we say that that is how God intended us to be, and we “normal” ones got messed up somehow.
Ok, that was way longer than I anticipated. Just feeling grateful this morning I guess.
Love your blog. the end.
love the lainey skirt (saw it at Target, totally want to get one for my little girl), love the costumes (my little girl is going to be a pink kitty cat!), love the random small toys scattered on your carpet (similar to mine) and love the diaper bag!!
Adorable pics of adorable lil girls!!
Hi Kelle, great pics as usual!
We have #4 due in a few months. The bag looks it would be awesome…would love a chance to win!
Crystal
Naive question.. what program do you use to make your headers? LOVE the new one!! I have to admit that I have never enjoyed Halloween until this year since I have a little man to dress up :)!
Awesome diaper bag!
Random commenter here! =)
I love your blog! Thank You for sharing your life with us.
I just started reading your blog a month ago and I can’t get enough. The way you look at life is so inspiring. I look forward to reading your blog everyday. You have a beautiful family. Thank you for reminding me to enjoy the small things everyday.
Gabriela
So I thought I had left a commment, but I don’t believe it worked — so here she is again – it’s no secret I have a purse obbsession…anything of the sort: hand-bag/carry-on/suitcase/you name it, hard-core-addiction… and that red bag?? Momma likie!!!
I am loving the bag and of course loving your posts. I am enjoying the “small” things in life more because of you…truly I am! Thank you!
Sam D.
I love the new header, the kids costumes are SO adorable!! Enjoy your new little spot to have some “me time” π
Emily from Michigan
you did a great job on the costumes! they look so cute! I am just starting to register for my shower, so receiving a diaper bag would be AWESOME!
Thank you for reminding me to look for joy:)
Wow! The new header is adorable. Love the shot were Nella is chewing on Lainey’s tail. So cute! Thanks for reminding me to enjoy the small things, once again. I think I need to go find a fall colored clip to put on my white shirt today….
Love the header. Hope your halloween night is as magical as those extra chromosomes our children have ‘)
I am a new reader to your blog and have quickly fallen in love with your family. Thanks for the love I see in every blog.
Love love love the halloween photos! Too stinkin cute for words!
beautiful pictures, once again. I have started to carry my camera with me everywhere just to capture “those moments.” I’m so glad that I do now. What special memories for the future. =)
PS – got my fingerprint necklace in the mail yesterday for my 30th birthday! i LOVE it.
That’s a great bag! I’d love one, since our baby is due in 3 weeks! Red is always an awesome color!! Your girls are SO cute in their Halloween costumes! π
It’s amazing to see all the comments on your blog. You have inspired so many people and the blessing you have is amazing. Love the pictures (as usual). I have avoided buying candy until last minute this year since I’m pregnant and know that one bag would last only one night in my house. π Thank you for your inspirations!
I have a very similar pile of halloween candy wrappers sitting next to me now.. I’m glad to know I’m not alone π
I Love the Girl’s costumes! We too did a Halloween photo shoot and my 18mth old stretched her acting chops to be the cutest tutu-ed devil there has ever been! Thank you for sharing your life!
Another great post, Kelle. And while I love the red diaper bag, I happen to think that those pick wedge shoes are equally fabulous! They totally rock!
I love the new banner… it’s so cute!
I also have to confess that my DH and I have been eating all our Halloween candy. Every night I clean a bunch of wrappers out of his side table in the living room. But hey, that’s enjoying the little things, right??
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sweet Nella in the white socks!!!
Pick me!
Love the new post. Candy doesn’t stand a chance in our house either!
New header, LOVE IT!
Love it! I had my husband hide the candy this year so I don’t even know where it is. Love the diaper bag, I have just started shopping for one, and I need to add this to my list!
I would love a new diaper bag! Beautiful photos!
Love your outfit with the diaper bag! And your kids just more adorable every day! Karen
I am quite impressed with your pile of candy wrappers, however, I did not notice a wrapper for candy corn which is a MUST. I have plenty at my house if you need some. π
Love the new header! Adorable!
The girls really do get more gorgeous each time you post! Have a wonderful Halloween!
We haven’t been trick or treating yet, but I am now craving an Almond Joy! Great diaper bag!
Great post!
I love to read your blog and see pictures of your cute kids! My baby girl was born January 18, 2010 and I also have a 3 yr old son!
Stunning photos as always!
I love how this was worded… “it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer for our family.” My brother has an extra chromosome and though he’s 29, we love that our family frequently visits Neverland, we have so much fun π
I always love the fab photos of Lainey and Nella (and what a sweet diaper bag to have!!!) xx
Oh my goodness… love the new header. What a good idea!
Oh me likey the diaper bag! Pick meeeeeeeeeeeeee! π
love the picture of L in the tree. Beautiful… and I would love the diaper bag for my new little one!
Your kids are unbelievable adorable! Thank you for sharing your beautiful story.
Love your pics and that red bag! π
I love reading your blog! And that bag suits you well.
gingham, bare feet, mary janes, and playing pretend. love it!
Thank you for your posts. They are beautiful as is your family.
I always feel joyful when I see your beautiful girls! They are even more amazing as kitties.
That bag looks fab-a-licious!
We put Kate in the knee high socks too, in an effort to actually keep socks on her for more than a few minutes. And we are deep in pretend play here too. Nate will be 3 1/2 next month and suddenly all the toys speak and have a dialogue with one another and he has moved from one to two imaginary friends!
My last diaper bag broke and my current run is running a little too small these days.
Your daughters are beautiful and I love your photography skills. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Joy
I am loving that bag. And by the way, you and that family of yours? SO gorgeous. π
Have been reading your blog for about a year now and love catching up on it every Friday. Love the bare feet in October, we don’t get much of that up here in Ohio!
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog…it’s like reading a good book…someitmes I fall behind but always love to sit down and catch up. When I’m caught up, I urgently await your next post…
what a cool bag! thanks for this!
love the new header. that last pic of Lainey is darling!
Your comment about having a child always brought tears to my eyes…I too feel the same as I sit here with what will probably be my last baby nursing at my breast. Love the glimpse into your day! And…yes…I’m really going to spot eating candy too…
Hugs to you!
I LOVE things with a lot of pockets!
Ha! We keep hiding the Halloween candy, too π
I would so love to have a diaper bag with lots of pockets, and in RED…
new-ish reader…. loving the bag snd the photography!
LOVE the header, where do you get your costumes?! Your pictures are amazing and Nella is gorgeous! What a wonderful red!
I love that you drop everything to do what matters with your kids most! I have lots of dishes stacked in my sink but I love reading and playing with my little 2! Thats what matters most!
I’m rockin bare feet in October in CT too π It’s a little chilly but until there’s snow on the ground barefoot is the way to be!!
Amazing all the comments a giveaway attracts… Just had to put my comment in and try my luck!
Happy Halloween Weekend!
~Beth
omg! the “sock feet” are killin’ me!!!
we don’t have any halloween candy in the house yet, but, YUM…I am so excited for Sunday night. That pink starburst wrapper made my mouth water! π
Just found out I am expecting my first baby in June! I love reading your blog… everything about it makes me so excited to be a mommy!
I love your blog it makes me happy on a sad day – Thank You!
Ok Kelle. I am leaving you a comment finally after following your blog for quite some time, not because I am madly in love with that luscious red bag, but because I think it is high time I tell you that I think you are fabulous. Absolutely fabulous. Your lease on life is contagious. I find myself checking each day during nap time to see if there is a new post to inspire me. Sometimes you inspire me to do little things, like bake cupcakes with the world’s most delicious buttercream frosting or rake up a pile of leaves just for a great photo op. (My daughter & husband thank you for that recipe. My thighs do not.) Sometimes though you inspire me to do big things like find a local buddy walk to be a part of and make this world a better place for all of our kids. You talk about fuel and some days your posts are my fuel, Kelle. Thank you for that. I’ve been meaning to leave you a comment for so long, but I just didn’t know if my words would be enough for me to convey how freaking awesome I think you are. Keep on rockin’ mama.
Love the post!
And love the diaper bag….I am addicted to diaper bags!
Would love this one.
Enjoy Halloween!
And that is why I STILL haven’t bought Halloween candy yet π
I would love to ROCK that red bag! A girl can never have too many accessories! π
That header is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen! Little sis chewing on big sis’s tail…oh my! I just “awwww”‘d out loud.
Oh, please, please, please let me win this…..with 4 children, ages 4 and under, this mama needs some help with organization….and let’s just say it….some help with style, too. Love these giveaways!
Those pockets and snaps are exactly what I need in my life! Happy Halloween, happy weekend, and Happy almost November (wow … can’t believe that one)!
“I used to want to be a child forever. Now, in loving this place, I want to have a child forever. And, believe me, it is in moments like this that I find comfort in the fact that the magic of the extra chromosome just might let Peter stay in Neverland a little longer for our family. And that’s perfectly alright.”
I love that you said that. so good.
..and I’m thinking that bag would make my first flight across the country alone with my babe more sane, hmmm. π xoxo
those bags look awesome!

Love the red bag – need one that snaps onto the double stroller!
Love the red bag – need one that snaps onto the double stroller!
You are brilliant. I lost my uncle with Down Syndrome this past year. He loved Fonzie (a/k/a “The Fonz” or “Arthur Fonzarelli”), and we always got a thumbs up and “AYE” when we visited. He stayed in Neverland forever, and would always take us there with him. Truly a gift.
Love the diaper bag. WIth #2 on the way it would be perfect. Love the pictures!!!
I am going to eat that Nella-bean! π Have a great weekend!
LOVE the diaper bag…trying to keep an eye out for great finds like this, because my diaper bag from the first baby has seen SO many better days.
Your pictures inspire me to get back into photography so much! They are BEAUtiful. And your candy story…makes me want to go eat some right now! Is that bad?! Keep on keeping on! And we’ll keep on reading π
Oh how I could use a bag with LOTS of pockets for my 2 boys belongings— ah the red will make me a diva mama!
LOVE the bag! Mine recently has been destroyed by both lip gloss AND eyeliner whose cap popped off. Nice..
Now, the bag is insane and perfect, but let’s also talk about the awesome shoes!
Love, love, love the girlies Halloween costumes!
Snickers and Almond Joys and Banana Laffy Taffys are my weakness.
Loving the red diaper bag. I would gift it to my sister who is expecting her second child.
love those little mary jane feet! so sweet.
and your halloween candy made me laugh. way too much candy consumption has been going on at my house lately too, mostly during naptime when the little folks are sleeping! π
New head for the win!!!
and PS…I NEED THAT BAG!! HA
Love the sock feet!
*Gasp* What a BEAUTIFUL diaper bag! I’m drooling over it!
Love your site, Kelle – I have it bookmarked and check back often, but this is the first (but definitely not last!) time I comment.
Happy Halloween! π
Your Pictures are stunning and the bag looks cool.
Love your lipstick! And that bag looks perfect for a disorganized mom like myself!
I friggin love the that you ate JUST the almonds out of the Almond Joy, but the fact that Nella can sit up with her toes pointed towards each other is way more impressive. Love the dexterity of these special gene babies.
What a view to have as you sit and write…I would love it. Love the picture of the girls reading a book together. so precious. and Love that bag…adorable and organized!
What an absolutely delightful blog! So glad I bumped into you today! Your writing is so refreshing and encouraging. I am excited to follow and read more. Have a beautiful week. Janine

i LOVE this bag! and your updated halloween banner!
I buy Halloween candy early when it’s on sale with a coupon. I think I’m going to save money but I just end up eating it all and then having to buy more bags for the actual day.
If I win it’s bcsbethany at yahoo.com
Um yeah, I would be so excited to tote that diaper bag! Happy Halloween, love your new header and the costumes π
LOVE the cute bag!
What a perfect way to sum up that little extra chromosome!
Just stopped by to tell you that I love the new header and the fact that when I read your blog I feel good knowing that we all feel the same about Halloween candy, kids and messes and beautiful things. Happy October.
Oh halloween candy how I love you! More Candy corn please! And I ate a whole box of halloween marshmallow peeps in one sitting a few days ago. When I finished I realized just how happy I was that someone decided Easter wasn’t enough for peeps! LOL
I LOVE a great diaper bag that doesn’t LOOK like a diaper bag!
two things:
1. i love the bag. would rock to be organized.
2. love the new song… and i wanted to let you know that i made a “kelle hampton mix cd” that i LOVE. and all my friends love their copies of it, too. thanks for the fun tunes!
I’ve been reading your blog for a while now and your outlook on life and the way your express it through photography as well as your words is inspiring! I am a mom of a special needs child (undiagnosed) as well as a typically developing child and the journey with each is challenging yet SO full of joy! I love that your love of being a mom shines through in your posts.
visiting your blog is one of my happy moments of the day…
I don’t really remember wanting to be a child forever, but I definitely look at my 4 yr old and 2 yr old each day and I know that I want time to slow down, that I will miss them so much as they age. Good things are sure to come, but this age is so magical!
Cute bag!
Because it seems like you somehow manage to juggle all the craziness of life and make it always look good, I confess I was quite relieved to see that you too have piles of books and clothes in your home too! Sorry girl, but it sure made me feel better!!
I have something to admit. Aside from being inspired by your beautiful life, I am using your blog as today’s play list. I’m not ashamed!
I always love your ‘enjoying the small things’ posts!!
I’m smitten with that last photo of Lainey!!
Happy weekend Kelle!

LOVE the bag – what a great color!
Have a Happy Halloween – can’t wait to see the pictures!
Glad to know I’m not the only one with a diaper bag slight addiction…and a candy addiction at that. Why does something so good have to rot your teeth? π Halloween is almost over and then I’ll stop. I promise.
Love your blog.
Hope I’m not too late for the giveaway!
As much as I love your writing and photos, I am also fascinated by your choice of music and your musical timing, it’s great! If you don’t know this song already, you might enjoy it…it’s called “She Is Love” by Parachute.

Your new header is too cute for words….

LOOOVE your new header! What adorable little girls you have! π
Oh the bags… Never seem to be able to keep one clean!
Ugh, the Halloween candy. Why oh why can’t I stay away????
Love the diaper bag. My hubby teases me that I was never a purse kinda girl, but I have been through so many diaper bags since my first was born. Still lookin for the perfect one.
My kids have that same farm playset with the little girl and the animals. they call it their
Charlotte’s Web set beause of the pig and they little girl who looks like Fern!
how appropriate that I sit down to read this post just after pawing through the Halloween candy (we live in the middle of nowhere and will most definitely get no trick-or-treaters)and deciding on 3 small bags of m&ms π
A great Enjoying the Small Things post π Love the new header too!
My fav picture is with the girls in the grass and just your crossed feet showing – a relaxing pose. Happy Fall!
I would so rock that bag with my new red boots!!! (And my big prego belly!)
Love the new header! My husband and I just had our 12 week appointment for our first child today and couldn’t be happier. We pray that we will be able to see the preciousness in our baby and in life that you are able to see in your girls/world every day. Thank you for the beauty your blog provides!
And of course, I wouldn’t mind winning a diaper bag for our new little one! Happy Halloween!
love the new pics! love that red bag…goes perfect with the red boots!!!
beautiful post!
I love that you love fall. I’m not ready for winter yet. And I love the bag!
I am always searching for a better diaper bag. I’d love to try this one on for size!!
Love the new header! Precious!
Loving the new header! Adorable girls!
The gingham check pictures are wonderful — I have a thing for gingham when fall runs around! I think it comes from a childhood spent reading all the “Little House” books over and over.
Love the diaper bags, too. With baby #2 on the way, I’m always looking for a good bag!
1. The last photo of Lainey — absolutely beautiful.
2. I prefer the term, “wife lover”
3. sock feet — seriously. I adore it.
4. I love how Nella is pointing at the book Lainey is reading as if she’s saying, “what’s that word?”
5. LOVE Nella’s brown and pink plaid outfit
Love it all! xoxo Kelle & fam!

Never comment but follow. The costumes in the header are too cute. Live in the pacific northwest and there is not barefeet in Oct. unless you want to freeze some toes off. π
Happy Halloweekend! The daiper bag would make the perfect treat. π
Love Nella nibbling on Laney’s tail! The diaper bag would be a treat (if it’s not too late). Just found out we’re expecting our 2nd (shhhhh, it’s a secret for now!). Red would be a great color and work for a boy or girl. . .perhaps that will be motivation to be surprised on delivery day!
loving all the baby and little love, almost 9 weeks pregnant and looking forward to all the special moments to come! Love reading your stories π My computer is broken, so I have to get my fixes on the run when I can, HAPPY WEEKEND TO YOU! π
My lord, I love the picture of Nella in her sock feet. She is just looking at her feet, like “why, hello there feet. how are you today? do you like the socks? yeah, I thought they were kinda long too.” TOO CUTE!
One of these days…I BELIEVE I WILL win the lottery! π
Enter me please!! I would love a new diaper bag!
I love your blog I check it several times a week π
Totally LOVIN this bag! I love when you show pics of eaten chocolate and you tell stories of your crappy tables and rusted chairs and show pics of floors that look lived in… you’re like a blogging ICON and yet, you’re just like one of us π And even though I’m going to be commenter #1,513..I’m gonna smile at the thought you might actually get around to reading this π Have a great day!
Love this bag- my first is due soon and finding an organized efficient way to carry all is important for the little one!
Oh my goodness. Love the costumes. Too sweet!
Oh how I hope hope hopey hope I’m not too late commenting to be entered to win that red-licious bag!
#1, I so get the loving the cubicle once a week and the ease of sliding into the floor to join childhood, too.
#2, Candy corn candy corn candy corn….it’s typing hyper from my finger tips.
#3, I’m loving Nella and Lainey in pics together and the older Nella gets seeing them team up and her interest in big sis, and seems like sweet Lainey is gonna and already is the best big sis ever. I’ve loved watching my baby grow to show big interest in big brother and see them interact more and more. What joy for a mama to see our little love each other!!!
#4, You. Inspire. Me. To pieces. Thank you.
very cool bag! i love red bags, too! π
Kelle, you make your parents proud
xoxo
I am loving your fall images! Happy Halloween!
“having a lot on my plate but dropping it all for moments like this” Words to live by! Love your blog, love your pics, love those kinda crazy patchwork chairs! π
Loving the red bag, also totally agreeing with you about being glad the extra chromosome will keep the little kid magic around a little bit longer.
I feel terrible that this is the first time I have commented because I am in love with your little ladies and it makes my day to read your blog and see all the sweetness of little girls. I have two gorgeous little boys, just about the same age that I wouldn’t trade for the world, but I do love checking in on the girlies : )
I always take a minute to read your posts. Thanks for the sweet and enjoyable diversion. π
I am grey because my baby girl due in February also has DS – and I am scared about her health and the challenges she/we will face. And I worry about who will hold her hand.
But then I have my little dude who still thinks it’s Halloween and has been wearing costumes all week and pretend trick-or-treating – and I can’t help but smile and laugh with him.
