Right now in my life, most days I don’t have to get up to an alarm clock. I can wake up when my body is ready and lay in bed soaking up the morning sun. My four year old has gotten really good at playing in his room til he hears me wake up and then comes in and cuddles with me. It is the perfect way to start the day. (I dread the days when I have to be somewhere and am rushed out of bed!)

My favorite is the look of pure joy in my kids eyes as I go to wake them up each morning; their groggy, sleepy smiles warm my heart and I know then that the day will be good.
Coffee, is a great morning love of mine. It falls just short of number one though, my greatest morning love is bedhead on my babies!!!
We wake up to our little 2 year old yelling “mama! papa!” at the top of her lungs! We scoop her up and bring her into bed with us to have some “ilk” as she calls it. Then, slowly, but surely we slurp on our coffee and get ready for the day, but not before we get some snuggle time in!!!!
The thing I love most about mornings is hearing my son say “Mama” from his crib until I roll over and look at him and tell him good morning. The sun coming through the window makes him look like an Angel. It takes my breath away every time.

My mornings is filled with Florida sunshine that comes from my daughters smile she shows me every morning from her crib. The best part is that she looks like her Daddy…and while he is deployed overseas…I can get to be reminded that a little part of him is with me right now. 🙂

My favorite thing about the morning: deciding what the evening holds for me after I get off work. The possibilities are endless….off to Barnes and Noble to soak in all of the books, relaxing with a close friend to watch some Sex and the City, or heading off to the gym for the wonderful feeling of accomplishment after I finish that hour on treadmill that I didn’t think I could do.
White Mocha Creamer. mmmmm. It seriously is what gets me out of bed most days. Love my coffee! Especially since my 3 month old AND my 3 year old still don’t sleep through the night! Can you blame me!?

My favorite thing about the morning is the quiet time I have with my youngest before his sisters are up for the day.
My favorite mornings are on the weekends. No alarm, no rushing, just lazy coffee and lazy hours of just anything.

I love morning snuggles, complete with the giggles that come from recalling the previous nights dreams. My boy has quite the imagination.

What I love about mornings is that all my waistbands are looser! And the lovely peppermint mocha coffee that I crave first thing each day. (I hoarded that flavor creamer at Christmastime and I still have one more quart to go)

Love the stillness of morning – sipping coffee, checking email, peeping at the kids still snuggled up in bed, my furry “baby” Max curled up in my lap. The most peaceful time of the day in our house.
i look forward to waking up next to my best friend and quietly tip toeing downstairs to start the coffee and breakfast. Then I sit with my delicious coffee and read the nytimes for 30 min before I get ready for class. This is undoubtedly my favorite part of the day!
The first words out of my little one’s mouth in the morning is usually “milk”, which I gladly warm for her. Then watch her sit on her beanbag, gulping her milk, usually with her kitty blanket covering her eyes for the morning brightness 😉

O mornings. =) I’m a pretty light sleeper, so I’m always semi-awake before my husband, who can sleep through anything. My favorite morning moment – when I feel him wake up, because I know, sure as Christmas, that in 2.5 seconds he’ll roll over and wrap his arms around me and doze for a few more minutes before we both start the day. What I love best about Saturday mornings is how happy Kaish is when he wakes up and knows he gets to go to acting class. He is just thrilled. I love that he doesn’t have to worry about the stress of school. He has a whole day of acting and then play! It is my favorite!

My favorite morning ritual happens on Saturdays. We don’t set alarms – we wait and let our 2 1/2 year old wake the world up. You hear him yelling, “DADDY!!!!” on the monitor and we yell back “LOOOOGAN!” He says, “Yes?” And we ask him to come get in bed with us. He does, then quickly jumps out to get his own pillow and blanket. He climbs in bed again and then quickly jumps out annoucing he needs a book and runs to get a book. Then we settle in for some morning reading/dozing and then it is a big tickle party before we head downstairs for breakfast. I love our family cuddle time!

As a working Mom I love my weekend mornings since we don’t have to rush in the morning to get out the door. I love my weekend cup of coffee in a mug and not a travel mug and pj cuddles with my 2 year old while watching Melmo (Elmo) or Clue (Blue’s Clues).
I love how my daughter wakes up and requests “sprinkly french toast” for breakfast every single day.

Waking up and getting out for an early morning run while my 13 year old watches his siblings because he just knows that we will ALL have a better and happier day when Mom gets that 45 minutes of total peace!
Oh my…where do I start? Well, the bathtub pics were my favorite and I looove the little pruney toes…so cute! I think it’s precious that she feels so happy and safe that she’ll even fall asleep in the bathtub.
i wake up 30 minutes before my girls. i sit. i drink coffee. i read blogs. and when i hear their little voices calling me to come get them, i do so happily. i’ve had my time, it’s now theirs.
Best things about the morning: crazy cowlicks in my boys’ hair, sun glinting on the frosted grass, a snuggle from my little one not quite ready to be awake yet, and, of course, coffee. 🙂
Coffee, my morning run, the happy baby I get to spend all day with & the honor of being married to a great man who I kiss goodbye everyday as he goes off to work to support his family. I am blessed.
That first cup of coffee, with flavored creamer, poured and brought to me in bed by my beloved. And, on PERFECT days the beloved and the babe snuggle up with books while I sip!
i love seeing the sun rise, which means those first rays are soon going to be pouring in my window.

I love the mornings because they are true family time. Even if it’s hectic because the alarm didn’t go off or just laid back watching movies on the couch on a Saturday. It’s MY family, untouched by the craziness of the outside world. It’s a “beautiful mess” with coffee included! I wouldn’t have it any other way!

What I love about weekend mornings is knowing I don’t have to wake up and rush out of the house … I take my time lounging around with cappucino in hand, watching a little TV, thinking about what to do that day. Happy weekend! (PS your bathroom reno a little while back inspired me to embrace my 1973 ‘goldenrod’ coloured tile to find an amazing coordinating shower curtain and paint the walls green … byebye all white, hello colour!)

The other morning I woke up to the sweeet sound of a small little voice saying “Mommy, Mommy, wake up Mommy”. As I opened my eyes, there stood the sweetest angel. Her hair looked angelic, her beautiful hazel eyes wide open, a soft smile on her face and she had gotten her fairy wings. I enjoyed getting awoken by my angel that morning 🙂
I have to say too that I love the beautiful pics of the girls in the tub. They are just gorgeous. What an awesome moment/memory to capture on camera.
I love nothing more in the morning that waking up with my little girl snuggled close up next to me, her big brother bouncing in the room wishing us good morning and coming to snuggle up too for a family hug before the day begins!
fave thing about mornings? strong coffee and over-easy-farm-fresh eggs with toast. and secretly making breakfast for my husband while he sleeps in – it never fails to make me feel good!

Beautiful! I love love my mornings with my 4 month old; my favorite part is tip-toeing into the nursery to check on her when I get up, and she is already awake and quietly playing with her feet. Then when she sees me, her face lights up in a gorgeous smile.

I love that feeling of 5 more minutes when I hit the snooze button, throw my duvet over my head, and snuggle into my dogs.
I built two tree swings (one kids’ size and one for me) out of rope and scrap wood and nailed pinwheel flowers to my henhouse that are now whirling like crazy in today’s Georgia wind. I spun around on the tree swing for about 20 minutes with the wind blowing incredibly hard and my eyes shut just tight enough so I could only see the change of the sun and shadows while I spun.
God gave me this day, but I’m pretty sure the enjoyment of these small things and the simple beautification of this day is partially your (and your blog’s) fault.

My favorite is feeling my dog’s (aka fur child’s) cold, wet nose on my hand every morning letting me know it’s time for his breakfast. After his “gentle” nudgings, he performs this crazy long doggie stretch that just makes me want to squeeze him:). Who could ask for a better start to the day?

My favorite thing about mornings is hearing my 23m old hollering “mommy, apple juice!” from his crib and when I get to him he always says “Hi, whats up?” lol. Gets my day started right.

My favorite thing in the morning is to sit with my coffee before the house is awake and listen to the sounds of my three kids sleeping as the dawn chorus begins. It is usually followed by the youngest trotting down the stairs, bedhead / birds nest hair, thumb in mouth, blanket in hand, after which she promptly climbs up in my lap for a morning kiss and cuddle. Best way to start the day.
The best thing in the mornings for me is how happy and silly my little girl is. She LOVES to wake her daddy up for work.

Before I leave for work, I go in to check on Addie, my one year old. I always hope that she is awake because she stands up, breathes in really deep, and smiles like she hasn’t seen me in forever! If she is asleep, I stand there and watch her chest rise and fall for a little while and play with her hair. Those moments are priceless!
My most favorite thing ever about mornings is the pitter patter of little feet making their way into our room, and a little voice who says “can I cuddle.” Makes my heart melt EVERY morning.
I love the sound of Sean’s feet coming down the hall. Pat pat pat. Never fails to wake me every morning so he can climb into mommy and daddy’s bed. This isn’t easy because it’s a king sized bed that’s taller than he is.
I hate to say it but the mornings I like are when my 11 yr old is at school and my almost 3 year old is sleeping, the coffee is brewing and I can have that little moment to myself. hopefully that doesn’t sound to selfish.
No matter how tired I am when I wake up in the morning I always get a huge smile on my face when I get one of my babies our of their cribs. Either my 17 month old son, with his arms out wide holding his monkey saying “brefast mama, brefast” or my 4 month old daughter kicking her arms and legs with a gigantic smile on her face.

I love waking up knowing that I have 3 amazing little boys to care for and an amazing husband to help me do so. I love how we can all cuddle on the couch including the 90 lb yellow lab and somehow find a way to be comfortable. I love how my 3 year old ask me daily if he can have some of my coffee, and then ask if it has caffeine in it. I love LIFE!!!!

My favorite mornings begin without pain! If I position my huge pregnant belly just right and prop the right amount of pillows under my hip–it’s almost a guarantee that I will be a happy momma in the morning. One thing that I will always love in the morning–my son stammering into our room and snuggling in between my husband and me–pure bliss!
Mornings spent with a cup of coffee, curled up at my computer working on digital scrapbooking, as the first rays of dawn show themselves through the window are my favorite. I’m kept company by the constant breathing of my sleeping fiance while basking in the glow of precious memories. Couldn’t ask for more 🙂
I love that my 2 year old loves to watch Garfield cartoons in the mornings and that he likes to be snuggled under a blanket on the couch for it. Really though, I just love him and he truly is what makes my mornings sweet. Of course coffee takes a close second ;).
I love when i wake up and there is no school, or my favorite, a snow day, and you pull the warm blankets around your head and close your eyes, breathing in the cool air around you, but feeling warm everywhere else. I also love tiptoeing down stairs wrapped in my robe, because i know i want to get up, but i still want to be warm.I love when i get a warm cup of hot chocolate and wrap my freezing fingers around it, then sitting by the window watching the birds or snow. I love this the most: i love waking up when im at my Grandma and Grandpa’s, Because you can always here the birds in the morning, even though the window isnt open. i Love laying in bed staring at the ceiling thinking how lucky i am to be there. Then i get out of bed very slowly, and i creep down the stairs, jumping at the last one because it creaks. Grandpa would always be there, as if he was waiting. I would either get up onto his lap, or sink into the leather chair beside him. He would tell me jokes, and i would laugh so hard, he would have to tell me to be quiet. Or he would read me his sermon for church, and i would close my eyes and listen.
Those are the mornings i love the best.

My favorite part of the morning is my newest alarm clock: a 20-month old little boy who somehow knows exactly when it’s 6:45 a.m., and gently rouses my husband and I from slumber with a quiet chorus of, “Mama … Da-deee … Da-dee … Mama.” The gentle inquiries increases in volume and insistence, until we hear the kicker, the phrase that makes my hubby and I turn over to steal proud, heart-melting glance and a quick peck from each other before we get up to answer his curiosity: “Where aaaaare you?”

Coffee, coffee, more coffee! My favorite thing about mornings. I love my girls, but by god they are monsters before they are fed, and coffee is what gets me through.
By the way, I have a Laney too (spelled differently, obv)! When I read your blog she loves to look at the pictures and know that’s another Laney.
I love my 3 1/2 yr old thinking she’s sneaking (read creaking door and elephant feet across the floor) into my bedroom and poking her head up over the side of the bed. Also at the same time my 10 month old has unlatched from nursing and is excitedly waiting for her head to poke up when he sees her he squeals and she says “hi Blake!!!!”…they do the same thing every morning and every morning it makes me smile!

My favorite thing about mornings is those few minutes after the girls wake up but before we get out of bed when we all just snuggle together before the day begins.
I love waking up on sleep-in Saturday flanked by my two lovely sprites. One with shuttered sunbeams reflecting off her freckled face and the other with her cocoa skin silky on the pillow. Their eyes flutter open and they croak, “good mornin’, Mama’. They snuggle with me for, well, not long enough, and then seatdrop off the box springs and fly into our day.

Usually weekday mornings are pure chaos – getting littles ready for school, bringing one to the bus stop, dropping the other off at preschool…the typical morning rush of a family with school aged children. But what I love most about my weekend mornings, are waking up with my husband lying beside me and our 9 year old and 5 year old crawling into bed with us and having some good old fashioned family cuddle time. Just the thing to rejuvenate us before the crazy work/school week begins! 🙂

My favorite thing about mornings are nursing my newborn son when the rest of the house is quiet. Its just him and me sharing a sweet moment together.
My favorite part of the morning is hearing and watching my 8 month old son start to wake up, twisting and grunting, until he finally opens his eyes, sees me, and gives me his amazing smile. Mornings as a mother are infinitely more beautiful to me than before I had my son, because I feel a sense of excitement and purpose every single day when I see his face that I never had before.

Sitting in the recliner with my babies (2 1/2 and 1) and reading them a story while they drink their milk. Also, when my 2 1/2 year old says, “leave jammies on Mom” when I tell him I’m going to take a shower. It’s just too cute.

I love putting my 15 month old in the bed with me and snuggling up with him while he watches cartoons.
I love the morning chat with the neighborhood moms at the bus stop as we hold coffee cups in one had and wave with the other hand as he bus pulls away, long after the kids stop waving back.
What I love are the mornings when I get to the house I work at (I’m a nanny) and call into the semi-darkness, “Where’s my Abigail?”
And from the end of the hall, I hear my favorite little voice exclaim “I coming! I coming!” and my favorite little girl comes RUNNING down the hall to jump into my arms. 🙂

The sound of “Mom! I’m awake. You can get me now!” coming from our almost 7 year old. He still waits for to to “get” him out of bed in the morning. Nothing is better than that first sweet hug. ♥
I have 2 favorite things about the morning…my 4 year old giggling under her covers (she still believes I can’t find her) and my 18 month old calling “Mama, Mama…” when I get him out of bed, we have to take all of his friends with us…Roar (the tiger) and the blanket, and Buzz and Woody. It makes the fact that they get up at 6:30 forgivable 🙂
Snuggling with my husband before he leaves for work, making myself a cup of coffee with my Keurig, and sitting on the balcony watching the sun come up over the mountains. Can’t beat it 🙂
My favorite part of the morning is when I open the door to my 12 month olds room, who I learned about two months ago is profoundly deaf. I am usually tired and groggy and in my pjs. She can’t hear me when I open the door, but she sees me, and we give each other the biggest smile. Ever since we learned the news, despite the heartbreak, every day single has started out with a smile.
What I love most about my mornings right now is when my 9month old baby girl gently pats my face and pokes my eyes and whispers “mammma, mamma, mammmma” until I open my eyes and smile at her. I know I will miss these moments one day…

Lately I am awoken by a little voice and little fingers. My little guy gently points to my mouth, nose and cheek naming each part. It is the absolute best part of my day being face to face with my baby all snuggled in warm blankets.

What I love most about mornings….those morning grins. When I open the door to Piper’s room to say rise and shine and she flails those arms and grins ear to ear like “mommy! you’re finally here!”…melts my heart every single time.
I could write some bull crap about the dew on the grass and the birds singing but I am soooooo not a morning person and really don’t even come to life until about noon. I can’t think of much I like about mornings. 🙂

Favourite thing about mornings has to be my little girl coming up to the side of my bed and ever so softly whisper “mumma, I need to snug you up there” and she climbs quietly into my bed. And then, my 3 boys loudly and roughly jump in as well. That’s when I get up and get my coffee LOL
My favourite thing about mornings is seeing my kids’ big smiles…. They’re just so excited to start their days with us! That feels so great 🙂
I recently had to say goodbye to the morning nursing session with my daughter. We’ve replaced it with cuddle and reading time in her big comfy chair. It’s our sweetest, slowest time of the day together.

Favorite part of mornings = little blueberry stained fingers and cheeks from breakfast, reading a couple of blogs, and figuring out what we’re going to do that day.
The thing I love most about morning is – that time of calmness for our little 19 month old boy. He will lay in the bed with us for 30 minutes or more just jabbering and loving and relaxing. So very heart-warming and calming to start the day that way!!

Work mornings: Coffee. I LOVE my coffee on work mornings.
Home mornings: Opening the door to my one year old’s room and slowly peeking in to see her craning her neck in order to see who is coming to get her. Then, the squeal of delight (her’s, not mine, although most of the time I imitate it ;-)).

My 19 month old got to splash in puddles for the first time this morning at the farmers market. He kind of loved it! Thank the Lord for rain boots!

I love waking up with my girls grinning at me ready to play. This morning, we woke up to find a bunny sitting outside my open bedroom window. My 15 month old went nuts, she was so excited.

Bringing both boys to our bed at 5:30am (yikes…sounds early when I write it) when they wake up. We all lay snuggled together talking about how much fun we had the day before and what new adventures we’ll have that day!

I love everything about mornings! My little Ben says from his room “snuggle me mom, come snuggle me!” and I do.. and we’ll talk about our day or he’ll tell a story about the day before. My husband makes me a latte (yum!) and then we all meet in the kitchen. My husband works evenings so we all take our time in the morning, cooking together and sharing breakfast.

My FAVORITE thing about mornings with my girlies is the smiles. They are both in great moods and just talk and smile and cuddle with their cute morning hair (read: crazy hair) and warm jammies. aaaaah <3
Now that my kids aren’t so little any more, my favorite morning thing is when I wake up (out of habit) way before anyone else. I spend some time with my coffee and loving on the dog. Then, as each child arises in his or her own fashion, they come into the sun room and chat with me, until the whole family is there together.

Weekday favorite… My 3yr old snuggling with me (still in bed from those nights she wakes and comes in our bed). She will scooch back in to spoon with me or roll over and wrap her arms around me and kiss my face. Just because.
Weekend favorite… Husband’s ritual of taking my 3y old for bagel sandwiches while she’s still in her jammies. He just started taking both the 3 yr old and the 1yr old. And it just reminds me what a great daddy he is. (especially when the 3y old is potty training and decides she needs to go at the bagel shop while he’s holding the 1y old).

What I love about mornings is when my kids wake up. They each have their own different way of getting up. My 3 1/2 yr old gets up a little before everyone else so he can sit in the livingroom and watch cartoons all by himself in peace. my 16 month old will start loudly chatting to let you know she is up and when you open her bedroom door she starts talking to you as she slides off her bed and hands you her blanket and soft “baby” then takes off down the hall to find her big brother. And then when the baby wakes up (5 months) he starts to chat. If you are to busy with the older 2 to get to him right away then he will get louder and louder until he is screeching for you. As soon as he see’s you he stops screeching and breaks into a huge smile and starts to babble happily and does this all through having his diaper changed and getting dressed. And that is my morning pretty much every morning. And I love it. So I guess what I love about mornings is the way my children start their day & that I am such a big part of it:)

Ooooh, so many lovely things about mornings. The best though? I think I’d have to say, the 20 minutes or so after my son wakes up that he’s still wiping the sleep off and just wants to snuggle with his mama on the big recliner. Perfection!

My morning love is when we get the opportunity to all be in bed together, when my husband and sleepy eyed babe wake up and hear little footsteps and paws outside of our room. Knowing very well that our bed of three now is turned into 5 in the bed. Love, love, love these mornings!!!

Depends on the weather as to what my favorite thing is. When it’s yucky outside my favorite things is to snuggle back in bed for just a little bit longer. But when it’s nice out, I love getting up early and having that little bit of time before the kids get up so I can get some things done.

What do I love about mornings? The way my 19-month-old daughter stands up in her cot with her arms stretched, repeating “mum, mum” over and over until I pick her up and cuddle her. Perfect.
Morning love: hot coffee on the couch while my boys gulp down their “coppee” (hot chocolate) in sippy cups while we watch morning cartoons.
I love my baby’s bed-head, her morning snuggles, and pulling out her pink to say, “Papa!”

I love the mornings that i get up and run at o-dark-hundred. I dread waking up but never, i mean NEVER…nEvEr regret running after i am done but what i love even more is how quiet the house is when i return an hour later. Everyone is still asleep, i stretch in silence, i make ‘myself’ something to eat, alone, not having it to be shared with anyone but my lonesome self. I then hear the shower start upstairs and that is my que…my morning is switching modes, i start the coffee and then the first little bang of feet hit the floor and i can hear them go running to our room to greet their Daddy. This is then i love my mornings…but all for a totally different reason.

lately, the best thing about starting the day is the sound of my little man enjoying his breakfast. it’s this beautiful, loud, messy affair that reminds his dad and I of a little piglet covered in milk by the time he’s through!

Fav thing about mornings (this doesn’t get to happen very often b/c of busy morning schedules but when I can)–well, I like sleeping in, having my 7 y/o come shuffling in to our bed once she wakes up…then quickly scooting out to grab my 3 y/o so he can join us too. As far as stuff that makes it worth wakign up around here would be the morning pile up. I have a 9,6 and 1 year old and all start the day with a good long snuggle. Baby nurses as my big girls find other nooks where they have contact with me. Fills my heart.
I love the little nest on the back of my 2 year olds head that has formed from him rolling in his bed all night. I love the coziness of nursing our 7 months old under the sheets and listening to the sounds of the coffee brewing. Saturday mornings are definitely my favorite 🙂

My new favorite morning ritual is snuggling with my 3 week old baby girl, Stella, in bed while she sleeps on my chest. I cannot get enough of her sweet little cuddles, or when she wakes up super happy just because she’s being held by mommy, I love it.
The smile on my boy’s face when I walk in to get him up. Starts the day off perfectly!
Oh, and getting ready with coffee is ALMOST as good as getting ready for date night with a glass of wine. 🙂

waking up to find that my three year old daughter and I are all tangled up together after a long night of snuggling.
I love those first moments before either of us are fully awake, when it is quiet and I can really take her in.
That once she registers that it is in fact morning, she’s up out of bed and full of energy and a list of ideas for the day… before my feet have even hit the ground.
I could go on and on… mornings are definitely my thing.
When my 2 year old son comes pitter-pattering in our room, and grabs ahold of the covers to crawl into my bed next to me. He snuggles in tight and goes back to sleep.
I love Saturday mornings when I am the first one up and I wake my boys up with the smell of coffee brewing and bacon sizzling…yum!
Sleepy, ‘I just woke up’ eyes on my two year old and eight month old. love them! and another thing I love in the morning…coffee, my friend, coffee. It is a must for this mama.
I love my morning shower with a almost 2 year old playing at my feet all squeaky clean and ready for the day 🙂
Actual time with my hubby, before he leaves for a 24-hour shift. Sometimes the only time I get to see him all day. But I always get a kiss!
The best part of my mornings is sun streaming through the window while the birds chirp and my love is still asleep next to me.

What I love most about the morning is the calm. I love coming downstairs after getting ready for work and making coffee while my husband and two darling children still slumber. I check my email and dilly dally on the computer without any interruptions. While I love my family, I also love this uninterrupted sacred time.

What I love most about mornings is setting up my alarm clock for 6AM, just for the sake of waking up at six, and realizing I don’t need to be up till 6:30AM! hehe.. sounds dumb, but it somehow helps!
My favorite thing about mornings is waking up my daughter by tickling her and saying, “Hey! There’s an Autumn bug in my bed and it wiggles!” She lauhgs like crazy and it makes me so happy.

My 8-month-old is the biggest morning person I know. No matter how hard it is to get out of bed in the morning, it makes it all better when I go in her room.

I love thursday mornings- bc that’s my day off during the week, and me & the kiddos sleep in, and eat breakfast together, and bum around in pj’s and watch cartoons all day. 🙂
My favorite part about mornings is walking in to the littlest’s room. I peer over the crib bumper at him and watch his face register that it’s me….and then he becomes electric – flapping his arms and kicking his legs from the excitement of seeing mama.

morning love is setting your alarm an hour before you actually have to get up and pressing that snooze button over and over again.
The dust particles look like you have a wall with stars on it – go with that – it looks awesome! I love the tub photos, so sweet.
I love curling up on the couch with a steaming mug of tea and my two brown-eyed boys to watch cartoons. The baby always snuggles in to nurse and my big boy likes to tell me all about his wonderous dreams from the night before. I love that necklace, it’s at the top of my wish list, so I’d be over the moon if I win one!
My favorite thing about the morning is the hour after I wake up. I work evenings and my husband works overnight. I wake up around 8am and he goes to bed at 9am. In that hour we just talk and eat breakfast together and catch up. By far my favorite part of the day.

my favorite things about mornings with my family is eating breakfast and having my small daughter try to give me bits of what she is eating as well and her sweet giggles when I eat what she gives me. Also cuddling with my hubby on one of the very rare days he has off and listening to our daughter talk in her crib.

Two things I love about mornings is my 5 year old saying “so, mommy, what are we going to do to day”. Making my 3 year old into a baby burrito on the sofa with the big fluffy blanket. And the smell of my 14 month olds baby breath when I get her out of the crib. Okay, so that’s three!
My favorite part is when my 3 sons climb into our bed in the morning and snuggle with my husband and I. Luckily we have a King size bed!
My babies are all grown so unless I am being blessed by the chatter of grandchildren or grand nieces/nephews when I wake, my quiet time on the back porch with a cup of coffee listening to the water flow over the edge of the fountain takes my breath away every time!
I love to be the first one up. Watching the sun rise slowly upon the bay and through the trees. And then getting one big “hello” from my dog as he realizes that I’m awake.
I swear that we should all take lessons from dogs and their enthusiasm towards life. Always positive. Always overflowing. Rarely anything sucks.

Above all else, the best thing about my mornings is the promise [and possibility] of a new day. Another chance to do it better.
My mornings are now filled with my little one month old man and I snuggling. Each of us trying to slowly wake up after a night of many feedings.

My husband and I are expecting our first baby in 10weeks and every morning when i wake up, I feel like our little man is telling me “good morning mamma!” When he kicks my insides. I love the thirty minutes or so before between that first morning kick and my husband waking up when its just me and the little baby rolling around in my belly that are awake together.
My favorite thing about mornings is coming downstairs to be greeted by puppy kisses from my 2 dachshunds and our morning walk before breakfast. They are always so happy to see me and the neighborhood is so peaceful and calm in the morning…
My favorite part of morning time is seeing how happy my son is that its a new day. He’s giddy with excitement and even if I slept on the wrong side of the bed, its contagious 🙂

I love…that I never have to use an alarm clock because our son has always been an early riser; when he does wake up he’s happy, every.single.morning; hearing our little almond eyed girl call for me to lift her out of bed, and the 1st sip of diet coke straight from the can : )

The thing I love most about mornings…hearing the pitter patter of my little ones feet and then feeling her “sneak” into my bed to cuddle. Mmm, my favorite thing ever! The best thing to wake up to is a snuggle from your babies.
My favourite part of the morning is waking up long before the kiddos in this house and enjoying that hour of peacefulness with my coffee/tea and the early morning news…..and then having to deal with the responsibilities of the day.
Recently my soon to be 4 year old has started to ask me each morning (after he wakes me up) whether or not I’m happy. He says, “Happy?” And I say, “YES”. He then follows up with Mommy happy. I then ask him if he is happy and he says yes too. And then he goes through the rest of the family- Daddy, Ry Ry, Tazzy, and Cookie.
And I respond yes to everyone!
My favorite morning “ritual” is that Alan always turns my face over to wake me up and lays his face right on mine. What a wonderful way to wake up. Kelle, we miss you and the girls. xoxo
I love Saturday mornings because my hubby whips out his “man apron” and makes wonderful concoctions: baking soda biscuits, berry crepes, gourmet eggs, sour cream waffles, bowls of fruit are just a few of the most recent morning LOVES!
A fresh beginning. That feeling of well rested and ready to take on another day no matter what will come. Excited to cuddle with my sweet petites as they want to get as close as possible too in order to keep in some of the warmth from their beds and sunlight from their eyes.
What I love about the mornings is that no matter what my baby girl and I are up to, after about 30 minutes she runs into our room and says “hi dadda, hi dadda hi dadda” climbs onto his sleeping bear body and gives him kisses until he wakes up. My heart melts every time!
I love how excited my girls are to see me after a night’s sleep. That is what makes me get up in the morning.

I love hearing my son wake up and start baby talking in his crib while turning his own mobile on to entertain himself for a few minutes. Also, there’s nothing like morning loves from your kids. They smell so good and seem extra mushable right when they wake up!

This is such a timely post. I am falling in love with my morning runs again as the suns seems to be getting a head start on the day. It’s so amazing to start a run with the first peek of sun and finish it with toasty neck and shoulders. I love that my girls meet my one the couch with Dad, milk and cartoons.

My favorite thing about mornings right now is the utter joy and extreme giddiness that I get to see my boy again after a long night apart. After 10 months I still feel the same excitement to hold him in my arms, see his sweet face and smooch his soft cheeks as I did the first time I laid eyes on him. It’s the best part of the day!
My two favorite things right now are a 5 year old who willingly gives her baby brother the stuffed animals of hers that he covets and then seeing that 2 year old cradle them to the nook in his neck and pat them (especially the baby dolls).
I love morning there my favorite part of the day. My favorite part is right when my hubby and I wake up. We stay in bed and wait to hear the footsteps of our 2 beautiful boys comming downstairs. Mornings- waiting for the sweeties to come down stairs. This morning it started with the comment- my nose is melting.. I just never know what the girls will say when they come down!

Our developing ritual of greeting each boy with “Here comes someone I love” when they come downstairs. If I ever miss it my two year old reminds me “Someone you love, mommy!” Its a hug and a smile to start a fresh new day.
When we were first married hubby used to sing “here comes the sun” every morning, brings back happy memories.

Best thing about mornings is being awakened by my littlest turning on her musical aquarium in her crib and hearing it over the monitor. And coffee, of course!

oh, and the last thing that made me laugh was the entire “after party” of my bridal shower today…at my moms with all of our family and friends-it was hysterical! Much needed girl time with all the women close to my heart. My throat is sore from talking/laughing so much today and my smile lines are aching…all indicators of a successful bridal shower and awesome family and friends!
My girls face when I walk into her nursery to get her up in the morning. That ear to ear grin and excited laugh she lets out just starts the day off right.

My favorite part about mornings is my baby girl backing up into my lap so I can read her a ton of books.
We also have a family bed and mornings are extra special. It’s the “Mamma? are you awake yet?” then the huge smile that peeks out of the sheets to greet my tired morning eyes. This wake up call (plus all the extra snuggles) making the morning the best part of my day.
My favorite thing about the morning is bringing my 10 month old daughter into our bed and nursing her. As soon as she’s done, she turns to daddy and wakes him up with grabs to the nose, lips, chest hair, eyebrows, hair, you name it. My husband doesn’t want to wake up any other way, and I don’t blame him.
OH how sweet is little Nella in the tub! My favorite thing about mornings: waking up to faint light coming through my white curtains and turning my head to look out the window directly behind me. Oh, and a nice cup of hot tea 🙂

I work at a zoo and playing with our two week old flamingos was my happy for this past week. They are so full of personality with a little dab of awkward! It just makes you smile!

The best part of my morning is when my boy who has had me up for the past hour screaming and throwing his “Im not a morning person but Im still going to wake you up at 530 to let you know about it” tantrum knocks off his ugliness and runs down the hall after me to wake up his sister for school. Mornings… Hmm. I love hearing my girls wake up on the baby monitors. Their breathing changes and they start to chatter and sing. Sooo cute. 🙂
My favourite thing in the morning is bringing my little guy into bed to nurse him and cuddle. It’s the only time of the day he wants to be still and cuddle with me!
I’ve dropped so many not subtle at all hints to my hubby about that necklace!!
I love it most when my little girl wakes me up to tell me, “I missed you while I slept momma.” Then she climbs into bed with me to snuggle.
My favourite part of the morning is drinking English Breakfast tea and sharing a large bowl of oatmeal and blueberries with my 3 year old daughter. Every morning.
I love what I call Silas’s squishy face. He sleeps on his belly and wallows around on his face so that when he wakes up his eyes are puffy, his lips are pouty, and his nose is skewed to one side or the other. Whether he wakes up in a good mood or bad he has that adorable squishy face.
My favorite thing in the morning is when it’s just the baby and I who are awake. She’s snuggly and happy and we get 20 minutes alone together without any disruptions. Lovely way to start the day!
Our slow mornings….in pajamas, with bed head, eating Rice Krispies, sipping coffee, watching Curious George. About an hour later we might start thinking about getting ready…maybe.

Favorite morning things…waking up to our four year old in bed between us letting me know “it’s day mommy, it’s day!” with pure joy and excitement…long hot showers, planning my day, and knowing that it’s a new day with new possibilities….also cuddling on the couch with our four year old wathcing Cat in thd Hat on PBS and giggling when the cat says, “you can go, you can go!”

I love mornings. It’s hard to pick a favorite thing. It would be hearing my 21-month-old daughter cry out “Mama” as she waits for me to come get her out her crib and how she starts talking and pointing out all of her favorite things the moment I get her out of her crib.
What I love most about mornings- lounging on the couch with my two girls in our jammies and a cup of tea in my hand!
The BEST thing about mornings is that my five year old has been climbing into the crib with my 18 month old. I wake up to the sound of two little girls giggling, reading books and singing songs. I like to stay in bed for awhile and listen to them. These are memories that I will never forget!
My morning love is my coffee…there’s nothing like that first cup of coffee to get the day started!
My favorite thing about mornings is now that I’m no longer working as a nurse and am a stay at home mom I’m not longer up at 5am! My sweet girl sleeps until 8 and so do I. We spend about 2 hrs in our jammies drinking coffee and watching sesame street almost every morning. I love our mornings!
I love how my toddler cuddles with me on the big bed for a while before climbing down to bring me toys to play with.

There is nothing better than hearing my little girl rustle about in her crib….talking and playing and calling out for Momma. Well I guess there is a close tie to when her big brother hears her and goes racing into her room only to be greeted with a happy screech!!
The best thing about mornings are the spontaneous hugs my too cool 10 year old daughter gives me as soon as she wakes up. They are harder to come by these days.
Well in general I am not a morning person. However, my little boy, Bennett, is and I’ve had to learn to adapt. My favorite thing about mornings are when my husband is off work and he has woken up before me and has coffee waiting. I walk into the living room and the look of joy on my sons face is priceless, like “Hey, Mom! Your here too! I love you!” and he runs over and gives me hugs. Followed closely by a good morning kiss and cup of coffee from the hubby. 🙂
I adore the bathtub pix~ there’s nothing better than water to relax the soul~ ocean, stream or tub. In that spirit my favorite morning is a fizzy glass of cold caffine and a stroll down the dock. . .
i love getting up before my daughter and tip toeing into her room, crackin the door alittle, just to look at her sleeping peacefully!
I love cuddling with Stella while she slowly wakes up in the mornings. The best ever is to see her huge smile as she says “mama” when I come to get her up. She says it more like the sigh you give after your first sip of coffee in the morning. I am her cup of coffee 🙂

My fave morning thing…my quiet early morning nursing session with the babe. Still all sleepy eyed and holding her binkies tight, two in each hand, and little pajama’d feet crossed over my arm. Worth getting up in the morning.
Hearing my little girl whisper “Good Morning my Mommy” not only awakens my body, but more importantly my soul. I am reminded daily that “I am a MOMMY”, something I will never take for granted! Before children I didn’t consider myself a morning person, but now I can’t wait to wake up…to start a new day, a new memory, with the loves of my life. I know that my attitude about the morning can help make or break the day. I look at it as an opportunity to help my babies learn to appreciate the time we have together and be thankful…simply for another day!
Back when I took the bus to work, one of my favorite parts of the morning was walking to the bus stop and admiring the purple, pink, and orange hues of the sunrise.
Another favorite is the feeling of waking up in a warm bed WITHOUT an alarm!
Favorite thing about mornings: Hearing the sound of little feet leave their beds. I will never grow tired of that sound…little feet on the floor…music to my ears!
My favorite morning ritual is excitingly talking about the adventures we might have that day over breakfast.
I have to get up at 5:30 am in order to get ready for work and get my 5 month old ready for day care in order to leave the house by 7am. Those that know me know I am NOT a morning person, but Marshall is usually awake before I am. So, most mornings I wake to the sound of Marshall babbling to himself in his crib. It is one of the best sounds to wake up to 🙂 When I peak over the railing of the crib, I’m greeted with a big gummy toothless grin. All in all a great way to start the morning!
My favorite thing about mornings is hearing a sweet voice calling “Mama” through the monitor and then stepping out of bed carefully making sure to dodge the dog’s tail.
I love a beautiful, colorful Ohio sunrise. It is almost sometimes like we turned on some awesome orange lights, and the sun seems to radiate through the walls. a good start to the day, indeed. 🙂
i love waking up and looking out the window to see the sun rising over the pine trees in our back yard… i love the way people look in the mornings (pajamas, messy hair, no make up) is that weird? and i just love the freshness and newness that comes with morning 🙂

I read your blog all the time but have never commented, (I know), would really love to say that mornings are the only time that’s mine. Truly mine. Before the family, before the breakfast, before the chaos. Morning with a fresh summer garden tomato ripe off the vine and a scrambled egg, sitting on the stairs overlooking the garden. Heaven. My children are a lot older than your beautiful babies but still that morning to myself, if only for a few brief minutes, is the most special time of the day
My favorite thing in the morning is my 2 babies cuddling with me. They no longer cosleep and so those moments mean thy much more.
Love Saturday mornings, when my little guy crawls into bed beside me to listen to ‘Adventures in Odyssey’, and gradually we add another, and another, and another! While we all listen and cuddle (& giggle), my amazing husband is whipping up an amazing breakfast for us to enjoy!

My favorite part of mornings is that my husband slips my 2 year old into our bed before he leaves for work at 430am so when I wake up I open my eyes to the most beautiful little girl sleeping on the pillow beside me. We do a good job of opening our eyes around the same time – usually some noise wakes us up. She always greets me with a bring grin and “Good Mornting Mom, you look pretty”

There are so many things I love about morning but the pitter pat of footy jammies alerting me to the bright sun streaming through open shades must be my favorite!
My favorite morning routine is opening the plantation shutters, pouring the coffee, and spritzing the plants on the front porch.
What I love most about mornings… it’s a tie. Early dark mornings when I have to be awake long before I want to be–I have learned to love the solitude and the quiet and the glimpse of sunrise on my way to work. Weekend lazy mornings? I love the way my dog (my firstborn, really!) sneaks into the room after my husband gets up, jumps up on the bed, and falls asleep with a contented sigh. A moment of calm before we start a wild-wonderful day with our littles…
My littlest of my four girls calling for me from her crib: “Meee Neeee Wu” which is baby-ewok for “Me Need You.” I’ll miss it so much when she can speak it correctly… and even more when she’s grown, and it’s gone.
I love how just one smile from my kids erases how the kept me up most of the night.
I love (besides Nella’s wrinkled bath toes!) when my girls crawl into bed and snuggle right up against me and we cuddle under the covers for precious moments before the day begins…bliss.

Friday through Sunday my baby boy and I don’t have school or work. Nothing to keep us from spending time together. What I like most about these mornings is waking up to “Good Morning, MAMA!”, his little sweet face all fresh and eager to start the day, a big squeeze and a leisurely breakfast and bath, where we don’t look at the clock or rush at all!!
My favorite part of the morning is walking into my son’s room and seeing his smiling face peeking out over the crib rails. I am so not a morning person, but seeing his face light up as soon as I enter the room wakes me right up! His smile is the best alarm clock I’ve ever had 🙂

My favorite part of mornings- waking up before anyone else and watching the sun rise. I do this every morning to calm down and get ready for any chaos life throws at me during the day. I try to end the day with a nice sunset, and feel like I completed a worthwhile day.
My favorite thing about mornings would have to be the way they sit at the counter, eating, listening while I read a Bible story, sing, and pray. She claps for more songs and yells “Bible,” he begs for more stories. I love that time with them. And, of course, it’s interspersed with “Boom Boom” (her version of “More”) and “Mom, please can I have some more…)?”
My morning love is when my 9 year old prepares his breakfast and makes an extra toast so he can share with his 2 year old brother. He sits him on a big boy chair at the big table and sits beside him and keeps telling him how big he is and what a good boy he is eating his toast like a man. The grin? Ear to ear. On all of us. 🙂
I like the consistency of our mornings. My 2-year-old says the same thing every morning when I go in her room (“Daddy at work. Mommy right here” or “I pooped”). We eat oatmeal. We clean up and greet her baby dolls. We let the cats out of the basement. We open the blinds. It may be cold, but it’s always sunny in Alberta.

I LOVE mornings because it is the happiest time of day for my oldest (18 months). He wakes up and talks and plays in his crib, greets me with those open arms that say “pick me up and hug me” and a smile that is so genuinely happy to see me. We eat breakfast in our jammies and play and I nurse and play with my 2.5 month old 🙂 It is delightful. I don’t much like waking up but I am always glad I did because I get to be with these boys. <3

I love the moisture in the air in the mornings, the smell, the still cool crispness of a florida spring morning. Knowing that the chill in the air will be gone soon – i like to enjoy being outside, just sitting and thinking, breathing, reflecting by the pool – before the daytime florida heat sets in.
Favorite part of my morning is rolling over to see the smile of my 9 mo baby through the slats of her crib, followed by snuggling her close as we walk upstairs for my coffee!

Every morning, after nursing, my one year old daughter shares a bowl of cereal with my husband. She climbs onto his lap, gets so excited to eat with him, and hug him around the neck before he goes to work. I love watching that sweet time they share.

I have been a ‘lurker’ for a very long time, since before you had Nella and I LOVE reading your blog. After a long day, busy schedule, laundry, raising a busy boy, being a wife, cleaning, I enjoy a hot bath, and a few reads to chill out. I LOVE your blog. Its one of the first I click on. THANK YOU FOR JUST BEING REAL. I love my mornings, I get up, my feet hit the floor and I love the first feeling of KNOWING I get to just be with my child. I get to stay at home so I get to go to gymnastics, picnics, the park, to feed the ducks, to ride a bike. Ahhh, love it! I read my bible and then ejoy a breakfast and patiently await Piercen waking up. He always wants to snuggle a few mintues and wants some juice. I love the quiet of my mornings when they first begin. Ah mornings!!!!

Honestly, I love my little man opening the door and running into our room. He always comes to my side of the bed and stands there and says “MAMA!” in the most excited voice. He then crawls up and we cuddle and lay around for awhile before we get up. Best way to start a morning for me!

I must be honest as I have never been much of a morning person, but here is what I do enjoy:
1) awaking feeling refreshed after a full night’s sleep.
2) my daughter coming in after she gets up and getting in bed with me.
3) the days we don’t have any plans/appointments & can stay in our jammies as long as we want!
4) I too enjoy getting ready with some oh so yummy coffee!

My favorite morning moment is when my four year old daughter stumbles groggily into the bedroom and says “mom, will you snuggle me?” And my second favorite morning moment is when my wife stumble groggily in from third shift nursing at a mental health facility and I get to “snuggle” her too. 🙂

My favourite thing about mornings (weekend mornings specifically) is snuggling in bed with my husband, feeling our first baby flipping and kicking in my belly, while the sun comes up and the birds wake up outside. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
My daughter and I spend our waking up time together, snuggling in bed. It’s the best part of my day.
I love mornings with my daughter Malena! The smile on her face behind the paci, the security she feels when i walk in that i will pick her up, hug her, kiss her, care for her… And love her more deeply that day than the day before. Its amazing and only other mamas know what those feelings are, i love that too. I love sharing that between us all.
To my husband’s chagrin…I LOVE it when my 3 year old climbs into our bed and takes up too much room. It is the only time of the day that he allows me a snuggle. I cautiously pull him closer and breath him in.
I love the super “stretch armstrong” move paired with this “oh look its my mama” smile when I first greet my little.
I love slow was Sunday mornings as the littles and biggies slowly, through a methodical process squirm and crawl and pull themselves up in the big bed. Now filled with giggles and crazy bead hair, but amazingly serene and peaceful. All of us together welcoming the new day.
Let me just say…I’m SO not a morning person…at least I wasn’t until my sweet little boy was born. He’ll be turning one this month (sniffle), and we’ve co-slept. My absolute favorite part of waking up is turning over and seeing his cheesy grin, snuggling for a bit, and our morning nursing session. I’ll be sad when this time is over.
i sure do love your blog…a lot more than i love mornings! although i hate waking up i do love one thing in the morning, the snooze button! i set my alarm for 20 min before i have to get up so i can hit it and then roll over and love up my hubby before we part ways. oh how i love that snooze button!!
I love having breakfast with my little boys- in the dark, because they say that the lights hurt their eyes. So we all squish together on the bench in the kitchen, with just lights from outside. So peaceful!
Weekend mornings are the best! Drinking my tea, in my pjs, hangin’ round with the fam 🙂
waking beside my ten month old baby girl as she says “Mmm..Mum (this means nurse), the smile of my nine year boy when he comes in to say good morning, putting on my favorite slippers, my baby girl humming to the sound of the coffee grinder, the smell of Kick Ass coffee brewing (that is really the name…it has a donkey on the front and it is the best!), and sitting with my coffee wondering what we will do with the new day!
Waking up to find my 4 year old standing next to my bed, just inches from my face. She summons her ninja skills, sneaks quietly into our room and waits patiently for me to wake up. I’ve spent hours watching her sleep, dreaming about the woman she will become. I wonder what she thinks of while watching me sleep?
My little girl turns 3 tomorrow! Can’t believe it has been three years of walking up to that amazing little girl with her smile that outshines the sun.
Right now, it’s my darling 4 year old pouncing into bed with while we listen to her brother’s coos next door.
On Monday, I return to work and it will be my amazing hubby making my coffee and english muffins just right while I pump for the baby in preparation for my work day.
My oldest daughter(7yo) wakes up around 6 each morning and my favorite thing is to walk out into the living room and find her sitting on the couch, bowl of dry Cheerios nearby, knees pulled back and holding a book flat with her toes so she has free hands to eat. I love that girl and seeing her enjoy language that much warms my heart.
barely opening one eye and squinting out my balcony doors. The Saguaro cactus seems framed by the morning pink of the sky. And then….
I close my eye and go back to sleep. I love the weekends. 😀
MOrnings are one of the only times i get y sweet girl all to myself! Daddy is asleep and i get the still kinda sleepy cuddle 🙂

Ever since having a baby, I have become such a morning person. I love making my morning coffee and snuggling with my 3 month old while watching the Today show.
A huge grin through through the bars of my daughters cribs, like she is just so unbelievably happy I came to get her.
I literally gasped at the photo of Nella in the tub. I adore your kids. I call my boyfriend into the room everytime I view your blog to show off how cute the girls are. I’m pathetic. Hahaha. 🙂

Favorite part of my mornings is the freshness…the clean-slate-ness that it brings. I feel blessed to start my days by pulling heavy, jammed bodies out of cribs and into my arms.
Morning love….I’m still nursing my 13 month old and as soon as she sees me coming to get her out of her crib she asks specifically for ” bup” (so she’s named it.) It’s the sweetest!
I just love mornings, the start of a new day- so full of possibilities!!

my favorite part of the day is right after nap time, he is so snuggly. we sit on the couch and just enjoy our time together. Any other time he is like a little crazy man running around, and good luck holding him.
I love hearing the quick patter of my 3 year old’s feet coming to tell me, “it’s morning time, mommy. Time to get up”. Great way to start the day.

I work during the week so those mornings are rushed but weekend mornings are wonderful, happy smiling face from my girls, waking up to them playing together makes my day start out perfect, drinking that first perfect cup of coffee, a good hearty breakfast and lots of TV until it is finally time to start the day. I love my life!!
I love the early morning on a Sunday. The house is still dark and I don’t want to interrupt the stillness, the peacefulness of the morning so I make the coffee and get the girls milk without turning on the lights. Today is one of those days when we don’t have to get up and go.

My favorite part of each morning is that the first sound I hear is the sweet little squeaks and sounds of my 8 month old over our monitor. When I walk in her room…she smiles and giggles. How much better can it get? I was never a “morning person” before she was born, but now how can’t I be when each day I am greeted with such love!
we have construction going on in our house right now, so my 2 1/2 year old brylee is bunking with us, her bed at the end of ours. in the morning, she throws her 13 stuffed animals, 3 babies, 5 blankets and 1 pillow onto our bed and says “good morning mommy! GIDDUP!” it’s way better than my alarm clock!

Particulary Saturday mornings because The Love Magnet is so excited to tell her daddy that she helped stir the blueberry waffle batter while Thirdborn is excited to tell that he made the butter syrup all by himself.
We have a two and a half year old with significant special needs. I have a video monitor on my nightstand for peace of mind to be able to keep a very close eye on her. Our just-turned-five-year-old loves her little sister in a way I can’t describe. My favourite thing about mornings are the ones where she climbs into her sister’s crib for private cuddles with her special sister. Watching and listening to that on the monitor, just doesn’t get any better than waking up to that.
…that it’s a blank slate, full of hope and without regrets.
What I love about mornings are seeing my chicks faces, and haven River go back and forth between me and his sister for kisses. What could be better. Sadly daddy has been long gone to work by them. He misses out.
My morning starts when my 2yr old girlie wakes me up with her adorable babbles. I go get her out of her crib and she gives me the most excited smile. Then kisses me with her morning breath that I love. We then snuggle under a blankie on the couch while she sips her milk and watch Curious George together. Sometimes mamma shuts her eyes for a second and my girlie turns to me and knocks on my forehead. It’s so funny, I open my eyes laughing every time. Love my mornings with my girl. And we will have a boy joining us in August!

On days i work in the morning, i love to watch my littles asleep in their bed. So peacefully.
I love the smell of our weekend mornings: strong coffee with a hint of wet dog. My husband always gets up before I do to eat breakfast. He makes coffee and lets the dog out while he is at it (hence the wet dog smell). He tries to bribe me awake with a perfect combo of coffee and milk. We always end up spending a good two hours in bed watching tv and catching up. It is my favorite part of our weekends together. 🙂

I love how every morning is like a rebirth, another chance, a fresh start. I adore the sunshine and floating particles and the way it highlights the sweetness of wee ones in the morn, but alas, we wake up with gray and rain and clouds more mornings than not. But dude, when the sunshine shines? Ah, we soak and we swoon in the glory of a new day.
I love the mornings with the dog and the husband. We make the coffee after the kids hop on the bus and spend quiet mornings in the back yard with the dog by the creek. If I miss a day, I am not the same.
On my days off, I wake up extra early and bring my baby girl to bed with me, so that when she wakes up I am the first thing she see’s. Her goodmorning smile is one of my very favorite things ever : )
What I love about mornings is when I wake up my 4 year old daughter for preschool, and she stays all sleepy and snuggled in her blankets for an extra few minutes. I just sit there, at the edge of her bed, and watch her and whisper things like, “good morning sweetheart, I love you honey, it’s time to get up, it’s a beautiful day.” But I don’t rush her, because she is just so darn cute and angelic, snuggled in her bed, that she reminds me of when she was a baby. And I just want that baby sweetness to last just a little while longer.

My favourite thing about mornings is the abundance of hope that it holds, and making breakfast while grooving to the Beatles. Ah, loving life.
One of my most favorite things in the morning is hearing my 2 year old daughter starting to wake up, I walk into her room and she reaches for me to pick her up out of her crib and as soon as I pick her up she tightly wraps her arms and legs around me and squeezes me. She holds on tightly for at least 3 minutes, it’s the best hug ever…and I get it every morning! (my husband and I race to get her when she wakes because we both want that hug!)
I love looking out the window with a cup of coffee. I may only have 15 seconds to stand and gaze, but it is great to pause before the craziness of the day begins.
Waking up to sweet baby kisses in the morning is probably the best part of my mornings. Dead asleep and being woken up with sweet juicy baby lips…it doesn’t get any better than that.

I cannot even handle Nellas adorable smiley faces! So precious. I love mornings because they are so peaceful. Everything is quiet and it’s my favorite time to drive (I get off work at 6 am and love the drive home).
My favorite morning time is when I watch my little ones come slowly out of their sleep. I always get a smile from our boy when he wakes up, and our girl is mostly quiet until she is ready to interact!
My favourite thing about mornings is my daughter singing and chatting and calling to us from her bedroom. She is two and a half, and still waits there for us to get her up in the morning.
This morning though, it’s Mother’s day here in the UK, and she proudy handed me a card and said ‘Happy happy birthday Mummy!’
Bed head hair. That’s my favorite thing about mornings with my two little guys. It’s not so cute on myself or my husband, but I just love it on my boys when they first wake up. They’re warm and so kissable and as strange as it sounds, I love to kiss their baby hair bed head 🙂

My two year old has been sleeping in our bed for the last month due to a leak in his ceiling. Sometimes I wish we could have our bed back to ourselves, but then I wake up to his sweet face right next to mine and hear him say, “I want to snuggle mommy.” Pure love.

My morning snuggles with my babies are my absolute favorite thing. These are the moments that I will remember most clearly 20 years from now because it is these moments that are free of interruptions, noise and other distractions of the day.

I am a new stay at home mom. I no longer wake up to my alarm clock. I love starting my day waking up to my baby in her crib cooing. We are required to do chest physio every morning for half n hour for her cystic fibrosis and although it can be time consuming in the morning I use it as our special time together. Just the two of us.After breakfast and playtime she goes down for a nap. I grab my coffee and check in on your blog. It reminds me of all that is beautiful in life and sets a good tone for the day. My favorite thing in the morning is my 20 month old holding her hands up to me, I pick her up, she points back to her blankie for me to pick up, I give it to her, she cuddles into my neck and lets out a huge sigh. Happens every morning, and I dread the day she no longer does it.

I love waking up to the sounds of my 21 month old coos and jungle music from his crib entertainer, and when I peep in at him, he is sitting straight up with gloworm and blankie in hand gazing at the entertainer as if it is better than a Saturday morning cartoon…then he somehow always seems to hear me and truns my way and I hear the most beautiful word…”MAMA!!!” ( Makes me smile just thinking of it and yet gives me greater anticipation waiting for for it to happen this morning.)

I’m 38 weeks pregnant with our first daughter, and my current favorite thing about mornings is being the only one awake in the house. Little one gets me up early already, with her kicks and stretches and head sitting on my bladder, and so I’m up to enjoy the precious time we have left just the two of us in our own secret world before she makes her grand entrance into this larger one. I would love, love, love, the fingerprint necklace to document her smallness, and the beautiful experience I know is coming.

My favorite part of the morning is getting all my little surprises ready for the kids. I try to hide surprises or cut out fun shapes and leave them to find. At almost 38 weeks pregnant, I love waking up thinking, “This could be the day we meet our daughter”. I know it’s not likely just yet but the thrill still makes my morning. The other thing I love about mornings is the sunlight, new day and knowing that it’s full of possibilities.
I love mornings because I know I’m one day closer to meeting this little girl I’ve been growing inside me for 36 weeks. I also love mornings because my yellow lab jumps out of his bed the second I start moving around and comes and sits at my bedside, tail wagging, so excited to start the day.
Most weekend mornings we are practically up with the sun. I love lazy mornings cuddling while watching cartoons and sipping coffee in our pj’s. Today, for the first time in YEARS I love that we all got to sleep in. it’s 9 am and I’m the only one awake. I’m not sure what to do with myself.
I love watching my baby girl wake up and stretch. She’s all about stretching when she wakes up. so precious.

What I love most about mornings is hearing my husband turn his alarm off and having him reach over for five more minutes of half-awake snuggling, seeing my son’s face light up when I get to be the first thing he sees when he wakes up and putting on that fresh pair of socks to start the day.

What I love about mornings…. When I go in to get my son from his crib…he is standing up just waiting for some one to get him and as soon as I open that door and say “GOOD MORNING” he gets THE biggest smile on his face. CUTEST THING EVER. Melts my heart everytime.

On any given morning, coffee. Looooove coffee. On this particular morning, my three year old woke up and checked her little pot of dirt she brought home from her Mommy’s Day Out program to find that it’s finally starting to sprout something. The look on her face, after being so patient with it, was priceless.
I love the look on the older twos face when I open the door to their bedroom. I get the whole story about what happened that night condensed into a nutshell.
I’m jealous that you can take pics of Nella while she’s sleeping! And that she’s so chill that she’ll fall asleep on you in the tub like that. Not only does my girl go a million miles an hour all-the-time when she does fall asleep the sound of my Nikon’s shutter wakes her up!
My fave morning thing is the big toothless grin my 8 month old daughter girl gives me when I roll over to say goodmorning. It moves her whole body when she smiles that big! <3

i recently enjoyed a favorite morning two days ago. i spent the prior evening in the ER with my fiance for a horrible migraine. the next morning we had gotten so much sleep that we woke up super early. he was exhausted so i went to the grocery store at 7am to make him croissants, eggs, and pancakes. we watched the morning news and snuggled. it snowed in april and that was just perfect.
My favorite thing about mornings would have to be when I go into my sons room to get him and he gets the happiest smile on his face and yells “Mommy!!” and comes up and gives me a big hug. It’s like he missed me so much over night.
I love my mornings because it consists of my 21 month old pretending to nibble my cheeks by smothering me with awesome kisses. She hogs the bed all night, but it’s all worth it in the morning when I wake up to that beauty.

since i finished residency and started part-time evening work, i’ve had long, luxurious mornings to cuddle my littles in bed. there is nothing like piling up under the covers–me, the 13-month old snuggly boy, our sweet 2 year old girl, and my smart 5-year old, who reads us all stories. it’s by far the best part of the day and one i appreciate so much more because i had three years of getting up at 5!
My favorite thing about morning is climbing back into my bed with a huge mug of coffee and spending a few minutes waking up before I start my day. 🙂

I teach my “firsties” (what we refer to our sweet babies in 1st grade) about 20 miles from my home. I live in East TN and have the beautiful Smokey Mountains in my backyard…I love watching the sun rise over the mountains as I drive in to work…it’s amazing and puts me at peace..thankful for each day!

Best morning ever: A couple of weeks ago, I had my 23 mo old and 4 yo niece overnight. First time the baby had stayed anywhere without mommy and daddy. She slept through the night and in the morning, woke up happy. I got her and brought her into my big bed with the 4 yo. She snuggled in between us, giggled, grabbed our hands and laid them over her and rubbed her forehead into our foreheads. We snuggled for a half hour like that in the quiet of Sunday morning. It was a fabulous Auntie moment I will carry with me forever.
What a happy weekend! My favorite thing about the morning? My two-yr-old singing “Mommy, are you?” as she snuggles her head under her Snoopy with no sense of urgency.
I love mornings because I get to go get my 14 month old daughter out of her crib – her huge smile and contagious excitement are worth every very early am wake-up call!

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this giveaway. I’m no the “lucky” type so I won’t get my hopes up – but I love that necklace and would treasure one of my little miracle. On a side note – a bunch of friends and myself have gone in and ordered one as a gift to a friend who’s planning her baby’s birth and passing at the same time. 🙁 Her baby girl is due in May and has been diagnosed with the a fatal genetic disorder – Triploidy. We hope to get her angel’s tiny fingerprint for her to keep always. It’s a beautiful necklace and keepsake.
My favorite thing in the morning, and believe me – I have to look hard for them since I am not a morning person, is a baby boy whose smile gets so big it might split his cheeks and whose arms and legs start going crazy when he sees his mommy leaning over the crib. In that moment, I love mornings.

My new favorite sound in the morning is my little boy calling “Momma” – he use to just fuss or start babbling, but now he calls for me by name with increased volume each time he says my name – what a way to start the morning – with someone who just can’t wait to see you!

My favorite part of my mornings is when I go to the nursery to get my little man and when he sees me peek over his crib he shrieks with joy and gives me a little giggle. I sometimes stare at his video monitor waiting for him to wake up so I can get him.

What I love about morning is hearing my seven month old baby girl Amalia babble and gooing. It beats any alarm clock. Hearing her innocent expression puts a smile on my face. She was born also with an extra chromosome and on March 9 of 2011 had her open heart surgery. It just makes everymorning fantastic because she is here with me.
My eldest grandaughter, Charlotte 6, told her little sister, Lucy 3, “Who ever taught you that, owes me a HUGE apology”!
What I love about the mornings is specifically the mornings where I am off and can sleep in past that 5 AM alarm. It is truly a reward for how hard I work.

My best morning moments come when it’s just me and my 3 boys sunggling under our favorite blanket. Getting to watch them all snuggling up to one another and to see the pure love these boys have for each other is truly amazing. I am just glad I get to be Mom to my 6children.
What I love about the mornings will undoubtably change when our little girl arrives in August. Right now, its soaking up the sun that streams through the window and stayed wrapped up nice and warm with my wife. The smell that lingers through the house from Sunday breakfast and the ease of the day.

Oh, how I love mornings. The first thing that comes to mind is that VERY first sip of tea (with skim milk) in the morning. The rest of the cup is delicious, and a second cup may follow… but the first sip offers the most delicious reward.

Ahh mornings. I love how my little guy looks at me every morning when I walk into his room to pick him up. There’s always light in his eyes. Always. We head out into the living room and put on some morning cartoons and he snuggles into my lap while we both wake up. Love it!

What I love about my mornings is that my 2 year old twins wake me up each day with a new conversation. One I loved was Josh saying, Wake up mommmy! then Aaron say Shhh, She sleepin. 🙂
I love waking up before my boys (husband and 5 1/2 month old son) and listening their staggered, rhythmic breathing. It’s the kind of sound that spreads love from the top of my head to the tips of my toes! I lay there and wait for them to wake up, watching the dreams flutter across their eyes…just perfection. And to think, I used to not be a morning person! 🙂

My favorite thing about morning?
* Watching daddy make pancakes and perfecting the fine art of breakfast plates for kiddos
* The blinds shutting of the rest of the world while we pad around the house in pjs and sweatshirts, making it OUR decision when to really start our day.

I love to wake up a little earlier than my baby boy, and get a little “me time” on the computer. I’m just outside the bedroom door though, and my favorite part is when he wakes up, sits up and calls, “Mom! Hewe (here)!”, and pats the bed beside him, meaning he wants me to get back into bed with him and snuggle!
Mornings, oh mornings. They are spent cudding in our bed. Watching cartoons and laughing out loud at what Spongebob (the littles favorite right now) just did.
I love the grin I get each morning when I get my baby boy from his crib. Melts me every time. Oh, and the grin on his face when I hug teddy bear. Oh, and the grin on his face when Dada and I hug or kiss. That’s one of the best grins.
Oh mornings…… My most favorite part of the day! I love waking up with my husband and fixing our coffee together, then the 15 min of silence once he has left for work that I have to take in the new day and sip my coffee loaded with french vanilla creamer! BUT the best part is when my sleepy headed 2 and a half year old daughter comes and cuddles beside me on the couch with sleepy eyes, a big grin (most of the time), and her crazy bed head! Oh how I treasure each morning!

Oh mornings…I love watching my husband so still, so peaceful except for the tiny little snores he’s no doubt earned. I love watching the sun fill the room more and more until the dog flops her ears at me expectantly. I love knowing the Keurig assumes I’ll be downstairs on time for a fragrant cup of coffee. I love the slow wake up and the build of noise in the house.
Having brekfast with my family, while my husband is brewing the best coffee ever (Seattle) my baby loves throwing cookies to our cat, love it!

I’m not much of a morning person, but listening to my boys laugh at each other in their room while I make them breakfeast can always put a smile on my face. (Sorry, that was a run on sentence I know)
I love when our 15 month old wakes up barking like a puppy and laughing… it makes me hopeful that it’s because she feels safe and happy enough to wake up from pleasant dreams

I love waking up on my own without an alarm clock (I’m lucky to be able to work from home on my own schedule). Sometimes my choclate lab comes up and licks my hand or face if she’s ready for breakfast!
My favorite thing about mornings is waking up to my newborn baby and feeling her warm baby breathe on my neck when I pick her up to go eat is amazing.

I love my morning routine. My favorite radio channel wakes me up with happy songs. I love lying in my bed just smiling and singing back to it. And when I get up I always make sure both my feet touch the floor at the same time, so I dont “get up on the wrong foot”. I dont know if you say that in the US? Maybe its a norwegian thing.
My favorite thing is when me son (who just turned five) wakes up before me, comes in my room and kisses me awake. Even though I’m not ready to wake up, theres no better way to start a day.
I love how active my baby is in the morning…it’s a wonderful thing to wake up too!
Drinking a cup of coffee and watching Yo Gabba Gabba with my favorite girl. I know this time is going to go all too fast and she’ll be in school soon enough.
Best thing about mornings… how my kids wake up. My son queitly heads into the play room and I hear his trains moving on the tracks, then he comes in to give me a kiss once he’s had his alone time. My daughter shuts her door not so queitly and then pitter patters directly into our room, always needing to go potty and saying “I need a bottle” which is what she calls a cup of milk and I hope that lasts for a long time. And holding my baby tightly as he greets the day. All of this is made more wonderful when my husband is around to share it.
the way my son wants to burry himself in my neck and then give me eskimo kisses right when he gets up. it’s a small ritual of ours and i love it.

when I was nursing, I enjoyed the first morning nurse of the day, i would go get my daughter and bring her back to our bed and snuggle up under the covers, it was a magical time seeing her looking at me and smile and I got a few extra minutes of sleep! Now that she is 2 I enjoy her smile when she first sees me come into her room, she is always so happy to see me! We go downstairs and have breakfast together, she now can feed herself cereal which is exciting, less work for Mama!!!

Ahh weekend mornings…what’s not to love? My favourite part is the warm, fresh-out-of-crib, cheeks- still-rosey-hot hug I receive when I pick up my little cherub in her warm and fuzzy jammies, and messy hair. That fleeting cuddle fuels not just my day, but my soul.
In a way, waking up with a crick in my neck from sleeping in one position all night long, squished between my two (almost)nightly surprise visitors…my four year old boy and my seven year old girl. I never wake up when they come to me, but knowing they are snuggled up to me as tight as can be makes me feel like a big momma cat.
my favorite thing of the morning is, hands down, being greeted by my lovie’s huge gummy grin when I peek in to her crib. melts my heart every time.
Having to think long and hard about this one…..we aren’t morning girls around here. Favorite thing = days that daddy heads off to work and we are still snuggled down in bed, sleeping soundly. Thank goodness preschool is only two mornings each week!
Oh this one is easy. “Mama- Wake up. Play trucks!” Waking up to the sound of that little demand makes me smile no matter how early it is.

Mornings…hmm…what do I love most about mornings? That’s a tough one. I’m a bit of a night owl (so not much of a morning person). I suppose my fave thing in the morning is crawling back into bed for another 30 minutes of shut eye once I get the littles off to school for the day. Geez. That sounds bad doesn’t it? What I love most about mornings is that my golden retriever puppy falls on me to wake me up and then snuggles right up next to me so I can pet her while I try and pry myself out of bed. She also likes to lick my hands in the morning as a “come on mom play with me!”

Hmmm the quiet Michigan mornings….I’ll take my coffee/tea, bible and hit the log rocking chair on my back patio and enjoy the quiet before my 4 little ones roll out of bed!
My two year old saying, “hi mama” when I walk into his room in the morning. He is all smiles and it is the best way to start the day.
I like Sunday mornings best for two reasons. One, because it is my morning to sleep in (thank you, Husband). Two, because I will always hear my two kids running around, laughing, crying, etc. LONG before I will get out of bed, and by the time I do, I’m greeted with a joyous chorus of “Mommy!” and huge smiles, as if they haven’t seen me forever. The coffee is already made (thanks again, Husband), and sometimes even breakfast. Sundays rock.
I LOVE waking up to a fresh new day. I just LOVE mornings…PERIOD! I love feeling refreshed and ready to go! BRING IT ON!!
My favorite part of the morning is my babies coming to my bedside and climbing in with me, pulling the covers up over our heads and saying “shh…. let’s hide from the lion” Even better when Daddy roars and so do they… with giggles! 🙂

I like being awakened by by sweet 5 year old’s face exclaiming “Good morning. It’s a great morning!”
I’ll start by saying that I am not a ‘morning’ person and generally would prefer to sleep right through to afternoon if it were up to me. But my very favorite things about mornings is that no matter what the day before held; no matter where the meltdown happened or what was said or done; mornings are a clean fresh start. He comes into my room and sits on my bed and says, “so, whats today’s plan” and we discuss the schedule and cuddle for a few minutes before we let the rest of the day in.
My favorite thing about mornings is when my 2 year old son wakes up and comes into my room with a “Hi Mommy” and crawls into bed with me and watches cartoons. His smile and sweet kisses can make my whole day.

I have two types of morning love and one on a far superior:
Weekday mornings are good for a quick breakfast in bed whilst listening to NPR.
Weekends:waking up slowly under warm blankets, all curled up with my sweet, handsome man. The best.
Love hearing my little boy start talking about his dreams as I wake up myself.
Watching our daughter on the monitor play with multiple paci’s in her crib while she patiently waits for us to greet her. Sometimes she bangs them together, sometimes she runs them down the side of the crib like a prisoner and other times she throws them out and does her trademark “uh oh”!
When my 1 year old wakes up and wants to cuddle or fall back asleep on me. It one of the few moments he is still and I love it.

The perfect morning is not complete without my 5 year old son, who wakes still sleepy and snuggles in my arms, or my 1 year old daughter, who is 1,000 giggles when i walk into her room to pick her up out of her crib…. or my husband bringing me coffee while i am in the shower.
i’m a huge morning person. and so is my girl. she (almost) always wakes up happy. we get up, have a morning nursing snuggle and make our way to the kitchen to brew some coffee.
what i love most about mornings is my sweet babies who come and snuggle in bed with me. we usually end up with all five of us (me and hubby, 5mo, 3yo and 5yo) in bed before we get up. i love the hugs and kisses and tickles. (sometimes i don’t, when i’m tired… but mostly i do.)
and i love the freshness of a new day. the chance to do a better job being a mom to my 3 gifts.
Cheerios with banana, coffee with creamer, waiting to hear the first stirs of my little one then opening the door to his nursery and seeing the biggest, most beautiful smile.
What I love most about mornings (and I really am not a morning person ;P)is waking up to my beautiful boy who is anxious to get me out off bed and start the day with cheerios and a cuddle session on the couch but, usually slithers away to play with his cars making it a very short yet still priceless session. <3
I love warm, dewey babies & toddlers – one that likes to snuggle while the other one chats up a storm (with HORRENDOUS morning breath!). There is comfort in every odd aspect of it!
I love not getting out of our jAmmies until we are good and ready.. Loooonnng walks at night, not worrying about alarm clocks and the inevitable gathering of warm bodies in our warm bed! And snuggling little bodies while they’re little…

Aww what great mornings at your home! What I love most about mornings is watching my daughters play and giggle, especially when my 2 yr old makes my 7 month old laugh until she has the hiccups. Oh and my coffee of course!
I love that in the morning it’s like a scavenger hunt in my house. The other day, in the space of five minutes, my husband said, “Where the hell are my keys?” My son, headed to high school, asked, “Where are my shoes?” and (my favorite) my 8 year old daughter asked, “What did you do with my tiara?”
My husband and I only have one car, so I drive him to work in the mornings so that I have it with me since I stay home with our two daughters (almost 3 and JUST turned 1). The last thing we do before we leave is run into their rooms and grab them up, then run to the car to strap them into their carseats. My favorite thing every morning, and the only thing that makes the early mornings happy, is when they see each other for the first time that day and reach out for the others hand, both laughing and smiling as big as their faces will allow – my 1 year old trying to say her big sister’s name, and my almost 3 year old asking if her sister “got good sleepies.”
What I love about mornings right now is this:
The tiny little body snuggled up against me on one side and the two year old who sneaks in after her daddy leaves for work and snuggles up against me on the other side, whispering “Mommy” before giving me a hug and then drifting back to sleep.
The best part of mornings are when I wake my daughter up for preschool and the words “I love you mommy” are out of her mouth before her eyes are even open. Makes me teary just thinking about it, I can’t wait till tomorrow morning!

My son’s first smile in the morning just makes my day. I love how he rolls over, not always ready to greet the day, but when I say “Good Morning” his smile brightens up the room. Love it!
Even with the hustle of getting ready after working out before it’s time to head out the door, my favorite time is when my 7 year old taps on the shower door and says, “Morning Momma!” and then giggles! It gives me a moment to take a deep breath and remember that’s how I love to start my day! 🙂

My favorite thing in the morning is good morning kisses from my little. She’s only 9 months and she grabs my face/my hair/my ears/whatever she can get her grip on, and she pulls her face to mine and plants a big fat kiss right on my lips!!!!

My toddler always wakes up with a smile and a song, but if I don’t come quickly enough he begins to lose patience with me, all broadcast over the monitor. First he will call “mama,” and if that doesn’t work he will escalate to “mom.” Finally, if all else fails he bellows out my first name. That always makes me giggle and stumble out of bed with a smile, even though I know that there’s a 95% chance that I’m about to change a stinky diaper. As I lay him on his too-small changing table with his legs dangling off the side, he always grabs my face with both hands and asks, “what’s going on, mama?” followed by the world’s sweetest “I love you.”
i love weekend mornings, letting my sweet girl sleep as long as she wants (instead of getting her up for daycare early in the morning) and hearing her wake up saying “maaaaaaammmmaaaaaaaaa….. hiiiiiii maaaaammmmaaaaa” through the baby monitor in her sweet, scratchy morning voice. i love that 🙂
I know know one day my heart will ache for these moments, right now I’m trying to cherish every morning snuggle on the couch with my Jack (my amazing 2 yr old son) I breath him in and kiss his forehead and hold him tight as he grips his bear and blankey… one of the best parts of the day.
Cuddling in bed while watching Sesame Street or Barefoot Contessa with my just-turned-four year old daughter is my favorite thing about morning. Bonus points if it’s the weekend and Daddy is there, too.
I love that mornings represent a new day “fresh with no mistakes in it”. That and my little boys’ grins and my old son’s “love you Mom” as he runs out the door to catch the bus.
I like when my four year old climbs into bed, worming his way between me and his dad to “snuggle,” giggling like mad until he breathes on us and says “Does my breath stink?”
morning is about a toe headed little man bouding out of bed rambling randomness while descending the stairs as quickly as his morning legs will carry him….and about a messy-haired, humorous “tween” uttering grunting noises in his newly deep (but sometimes squeaky) voice. my heart is full.

I love my baby’s girl messy hair in the mornings as she plays at our feet while we get ready for the day, I use to not be such a fan of mornings in my pre-kid days, now I don’t mind so much.
The best part of my day comes early before the world is awake and going…its when I hear those sleepy footsteps come rushing to my bedroom. I smile into my pillow when I feel him scramble up and over me…its a king size bed with lots of pillows but I know within a few moments I will have my pillow stolen. He will cuddle up to me and I will pull him closer wrap him tighter in my arms…I dont fall back asleep as quickly as him…My brain has woke up too much…I marveled a second too long at the gift he is. So I say a prayer of thanks slowly saying thank you for each of my blessings..Haven..Soren… Brian…asking that they be protected and watched over..the list goes on till I drift back to sleep…depending on what time it is I may only have a moment…if I am lucky a few hours….Hours of him close to me… breathing with me…his heart beating near me…we were this close once…closer..for 35 weeks he was mine all mine and now I share him with the world..My last thought before I drift back off is usually that I almost missed this magic…I almost missed out on these amazing tiny moments…we wake up noses almost pressed together…tangled in quilts and each others hair..looking directly into each others eyes…the sweetest smile with sparkling blue eyes is staring right at me…he usually pats my cheek in the way I guess I have his since he came into my life…He says hello Moma every morning…and my heart melts…everytime…it never gets old…it never gets boring…hearing those words is magic everytime…seeing that face is a gift.. I am so very thankful for the gift of being a Mom…for the moments I get to share with him..both of them…being a Mom is the greatest gift I have ever been given.

My favourite thing in the morning is rolling over to my 10 month old’s first smile of the day. You quickly forget that it is 5 in the morning when you get such a precious grin from a little being. Mornings will never be quite the same once we stop co-sleeping.
every morning, my five month old opens his eyes at 5:30am, turns his head to mine, and gives me the biggest grin. its my most favorite moment of the day…. even if it is at 5:30am.

My favourite thing about mornings is my 8 week old boy. He has learned to smile and loves to show them off, especially after a good nights sleep. Mommy enjoys a coffee while watching the little one coo and smile on his play mat. Heaven.
I love the sleepy-eye dust that the Sleep Fairy brings to the corners of their eyelashes during the night. I also love when my three littles ask if they got bigger in the night, since at our house, we grow when we are sleeping. I always look at them over carefully and then declare that they must have had a great sleep since they all have grown an inch!
I love peaking over the side of the crib and getting a big full-body smile from my sweet little 7 month old. Gotta love when smiles travel all the way down to wiggly toes!
I love it that Nella fell asleep on you in the tub!! That amazes me – my kids don’t ever fall asleep on me – if they are around me they just want to PLAY! Lovely pictures… all the smiles melt my heart!

The smiles that greet me from the cribs when I peak my head in, a cup of coffee and breakfast with my (almost 2 year old!) twins.
My fav thing about the morning… drinking coffee while me and my 2 girls dance to “Totally 80’s”. It is the block of music videos from the 80’s on my fav channel, Vh1 Classic. This morning we danced to ‘Maneater’, ‘Little Red Corvette’ and ‘We Built This City’, to name a few.
I love the first cup of coffee and the Good Morning Mama of my little boy when he wakes up! He’s so fresh and snuggly first thing in the morning!

I love mornings when I wake up with Nate between us..( I imagine us shaped like a heart as we turn towards our little boy, toes touching and Nate with one hand on each of us). I think how blessed I am to wake up with such love!
My fave part of mornings is that initial moment of recognition when I open the door to my 19 month olds room. The spark that flickers just for a second when she sees me for the first time since the night before, and the slow, huge grin that follows melts my heart each day…
I love rolling over and seeing my cooing, smiling baby girl. She’s the best alarm clock ever.
The thing I love most about mornings are the wide-eyed, happy-go-lucky grins that I get from my six month old girl who acts as though it has been ages since she’s seen me! Enough to melt a momma’s heart!

My fav thing about morning is popping in some great music (in the car) that corresponds to the weather outside while dancing & singing along with it on the way to work!
My favourite thing about mornings right now is how my son reacts to seeing me for the first time that day. My husband gets up to get our son Ben when he wakes and he changes his diaper and then brings him in to our room and puts him on the far edge of our king bed. When Ben sees me for the first time he gives me a giant smile and starts excitedly huffing and puffing and wing flapping and then crawls as fast as he can the length of the bed to me for a big hug and a kiss. How can you possibly have a bad day after that?!?
My favorite part about the morning is hearing my little one calling “Mama!” from her bedroom. I can’t think of a better way to start the day than feeling needed and loved!
“Good morning, mama. Where are youuuuuu?” Two yr. old talk is the best.

The best thing about mornings – – a house awakening – – first the dogs padding into our room, then the parakeet begins to sing, my sign to get up, next the boys/husband arise/eat and get ready for school/work. – – – calm/peace is not the absence of chaos, it is a feeling in the midst of chaos! 🙂
My favorite thing about mornings is my sleepy eyed 4 year old coming into my room after she wakes up, and says, while yawning “morning mama”. Then she crawls into bed with me and we cuddle and tickle each other. Nothing like waking up to a sweet, giggly, girl!!
Mmm the extra 15 minutes my husband and I spend lounging in bed in the morning. Sometimes our cats visit us, sometimes we just are, together.

My favorite mornings are those when we have no school or appointments to rush off to & get to have a good family snuggle in our bed. There is something magic about starting the day with two sleepy little bedheads squished up between Mommy & Daddy.
My second favorite is the mornings I get to take the dog out for a good long walk, just the two of us… a nice way to clear my head before the day gets nutty.

My all time favorite thing about mornings is when my son wakes up a little early and wants to have snuggle time with me in the rocking chair – just Cooper & ommie.
My favorite morning thing – seeing my daughters eyes light up when she sees me come into her room to get her up every morning. (every time i feel like “is she really mine!?!” how did i get so lucky!)
What I love most about the morning is how new the morning is. Most of my days are spent with my girls, doing whatever we feel like. I love that we can wake up and fly by the seat of our pants. Some mornings are hectic, with long lists of “I want to do this…I want to do that…,” while other mornings drag on into the afternoon and we rush to get dressed before daddy walks in the door.
I also wouldn’t complain about the golden sun. Ahhh….the slow, steady rise of the golden sun 🙂

There are 2 things that get me out of bed: the excitement that builds as I near my baby’s room- anticipating her big grin right before I pick her up and rescue her from a night of solitude. And coffee in my special coffee mug. I made a special trip to Home Goods in search of the perfect coffee mug – thin rim, chic, happy. Coffee in my cool mug with my girls in the morning. These are the best mornings of my life.
I’ll be honest…I do not love mornings. I want to but I don’t. But I do love when we have the rare opportunity to all snuggle together without having to rush off someplace!

What I love about mornings…. is that before flying out the door half made-up and eating breakfast on the way, I’m forced to slow down to feed my baby his morning feeding. In those precious moments I get those blueberry eyes staring at me, cheeks pressed against my chest as he swallows hungrily but peacefully and then pulls away, sated, with pursed little lips that say he’s done. I feel the weight of him against me, I know he’s mine, and I breathe out a prayer of thankfulness for him and mornings. 🙂

Thank God you are another mom who is not afraid to show some dust particles at home. I recently showed off a picture of my 8 month old surrounded by toys, a tv remote, an empty soda bottle, and some plastic Easter eggs and had to explain that we meant for him to be allowed to play with all that. Whatever makes him happy in the morning works for us!
I am loving slow mornings with my girls; mornings of pancakes and games and impromptu ballet performances. Next year my oldest starts kindergarten and those quiet mornings will be lovely memories, hence the need to sweeten and savor them now.

My boys have been waking up very early these days, so we’ve been bringing them to our bed to try and get some extra sleep. My favorite part of the morning is when they wake up and are so pleasantly surprised to find themselves in our bed, all giddy and happy smiles. Love it!

My daughter is 5 months old and sleeps in our bed.
I love it in the mornings when she wakes up and rolls over to look at me. She has this huge smile and a look on her face like I am a long lost loved one she hasn’t seem for ages. It’s like – “What! you are here!” and she is overjoyed to see me! Then the chuckles and squeals start 🙂

I love the still in my house before anyone else gets up. It’s just me, my laptop, my extra hot cup of freshly brewed coffee and silence. Then to hear my kids waking up and calling me is the signal that the rest of the day can begin. But those first few moments of solitude and silence? Beautiful, blissful, mine.

There is nothing better in my day than when I am done getting ready and come to wake my son, Micah. (He will be a year old next Saturday!) I reach into his crib and start rubbing his tummy, and he will arch his back and stretch, a smile on his still-asleep face. And then he opens his eyes and reaches for me. Nothing better.
There is nothing like walking into a dark room and seeing my little girl’s face smiling at me and talking her morning nonsense babble. Melts my heart every time. Awesome way to start the day.

Mmmm mornings. When it’s just the 2 of us, I love when we get up and make a big yummy yummy breakfast then go back to bed, dozing with the sun peeking in. But when the kidlets are with us I love when they come into bedroom, jump on us and play amongst us and the covers.

Mornings are a love/hate relationship for me. My son who is almost 2, still rarely sleeps through the night. But I will admit I totally love snuggling with him in the rocker even if it is 3am.

Ooh, I love mornings around here! The sun streaming through the windows, the birds chirping outside, a steaming cup of tea… But, my most favorite moment of the morning is my baby boy’s big smile when he sees his momma wake up–absolutely amazing, every single morning!
I love waking up to the man I love, and just spending about twenty to thirty minutes picking at each other, and then planning out our day. Wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world, it’s our special routine on the weekends!!
I love getting up alone with my 7 month old, grabbing a cup of coffee and playing on the floor with her. She is at her happiest at 6:30 am. I forget how tired I am when she looks up from her toys, finds me and laughs. 🙂

Morning Loves: The perfect cup of coffee with just the right amount of cream and sitting outside reading a book with my coffee watching the world wake up while the rest of the house sleeps (a summer weekend joy). This can only be improved upon by the sweet smile my baby gives me when I come to get him from his crib or when he sees his daddy for the first time in the morning – pure love!

Koala bear hugs….this is what I call the hugs when my 1 and 2 year olds are fresh out of their beds and their arms tightly wrap around my neck (face buried in my neck as well) and there legs are wrapped tight around my waste. If I let go, they wouldn’t budge…and its the safest feeling in the world

Waking up and knowing that my (best friend) brother will be home this Summer from his tour in Iraq. Its going to be the best day when I get to see my best friend again.

The thing I love most about mornings is sleepy eyes and streching of my now 5yo who wakes up with her blankie and says “morning mommy…i slept good, did you?…can i wear my dress?” even when its raining and cold lol. Every morning it’s the same thing lol.
The best thing about mornings? (especially on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) Waking up my little girl and her sitting up, smiling and saying “mommy”. Why is M-W more special than the other days, which are super special, too? I work full-time and I am also going back to school full-time so on Monday and Tuesday night I don’t get to see her before she goes to bed!!

My favorite part about mornings is hearing my 2yr old daughter wake up and then say “In here momma!”
My favorite thing in the morning is when my 2-year old wakes up and says “I NEED milk!”.
My favorite thing about morning is waking up and realizing that God has given me a fresh new day to live. If I messed up before; today is new…a new beginning every 24 hours. Awesome!
Oh sweet love! One of my morning loves would have to be waking up my girlie and watching her kitty roll all over her, just love it!!
What do I love most about mornings? Well, I could say coffee (and lots of it) but what I really love is the beaming smile my son gives me when I walk into the kitchen. Most mornings my husband gets up with Sean (since I am on night duty, and our 14 month old still thinks sleeping through the night is overrated!) I get to catch a few more zzz’s while he makes Sean breakfast.
When I walk into kitchen, Sean points at me, beams the biggest grin one can imagine and giggles with delight every.single.morning. Any sleep cobwebs still in my brain are wiped away and I can’t help but smile back. I’m not a morning person, but this reaction makes me wish it was morning all the time!

My twins standing in their respective cribs anxiously awaiting me to swoop in and pick them up each morning. The grins of anticiation are followed by the best “aye, ayes.”

I love spring mornings in Arizona. The birds are singing, the sun shining bright, and the air is cool. Beautiful! I also love kissing the lips of my sweet girl to wake her up, just like a Princess 🙂

I LOVE Weekend mornings because I work during the week and don’t always get to see my pumpkin when she is READY to wake up (when I wake her up she is not as happy). So what I absolutely LOVE about weekend mornings if the first glance my 2 year old gives me when I poke my head in her room after she calls for me or daddy when she is READY to wake up!!! She gives me the biggest, sweetest smile that melts my heart!! Favorite morning moments ever =)
What I love most about mornings is getting my 3 year old out of bed and answering her “What are we going to do today, mom?” questions. Planning it all out at 6 am makes even our morning walk to get the mail a little more exciting just from the anticipation.
I love nursing my baby boy early in the morning when no one else is awake. Its just our mommy/son bonding time.
i love waking up to see my 10 week old baby boy staring up at me with his cute smile. he’s the first thing i see when i wake up, and i wouldn’t have it any other way!
A hot cup of tea with my dogs cuddled up to my ever growing belly!

I love taking my son for early morning walks in the stroller. The world is quiet and it feels like we are the only 2 people in the universe.
Mornings appear to be calm at your house. I’m awoken by a screaming toddler and chaotic rush to get his milk and breakfast prepared before a total meltdown ensues. However, I’m not complaining. Even though my mornings are pretty crazy, my little guy is amazing through and through!

Ahhh…Spring mornings-the lil’ puffed up bird singing for all he’s worth, the sounds of the house awakening; boards creaking, refrigerator opening, dog nails as she begins her morning investigations, and then the sound of our littlest angel as he coos, gurgles and babbles his stories to everything in his room. All the gentle sounds that say we are all together before the hustle and bustle of life takes over. What’s not to like?!
One of my favorite parts of each morning is hearing Nelia through the monitor when she wakes up saying ‘Mama’, ‘Dada’, ‘Mama’,
‘Dada’ until one of us gets her.
Next is my cup of coffee filled w/ french vanilla creamer, yum!!!
I love being warm and cozy in my house when it’s cold outside. I love staying in my jammies with my little one in hers. It’s the best.
Waking up to my 3 year-old Maeve saying, loudly, “Heeeyy! The sun is awake. It’s good-morning time! Muummyyy!”
Oh how I love mornings. That is when my lil’ man wakes up and all that he wants is for Mommy to hold him tight. He squeezes my hand….what a way to start a day!

I fall more in love with you and your family each time I read your blog…AMAZING is the word I use the most to describe you Kelle to everyone I know! What I love about mornings, Spring mornings to be exact are the birds chirping outside my window and that pesky woodpecker going to town on the Oak next door. I love the smile that spreads across my sweet bambino’s face as she realizes that the day is about to begin. I love the smell of coffee(even though I don’t drink it) and I’m even learning how to love Barney..that last one is gonna take awhile! 🙂

I love that mornings are a fresh start, a clean slate. And sleepy little faces are super cute, especially the first big smile when I see them in the morning.
How can you not love mornings, when you have the three people who matter most to you all snuggled up, safe and sound and under one roof. It’s a small window of time that I savor every morning.

Every family is so different and has different struggles and I just love reading your positive outlook. It took my husband and I 2 years to get pregnant and now that we finally have our son Crew (5 months old) we couldn’t be happier.
My favorite thing about the mornings is going into Crew’s room, when he’s just stirring and talking to himself, I stand over his crib and he looks around the room and then we make eye contact and he smiles as if to say “Hi Mom! I’ve been waiting for you all night and I can’t wait to spend the day with you.” It’s my absolute favorite time of day.

Listening to my baby girl babble in her crib. I wake up to it every morning and hearing her sweet voice is my absolute favorite thing.

My favorite thing about mornings is feeding my baby girl her breakfast. Mouth noises have always irritated me, but hers are music to my ears every morning!

My favorite part of the morning is having my bigger little come curl up in bed with me and her newborn brother to watch TV while I nurse the baby. Even when that is happening before 6am!
I love mornings with my sleepyhead beagle, who steals the covers and makes a nest just before my alarm goes off… so he can stay warm and snuggly while I brave the cold bedroom floor and get my shower.
I love to hear my boy say, MOMMY, from the other room as soon as he wakes up. And as soon as I open my eyelids I find my little girl nuzzled into my side. I love snuggly, warm bodies needing their mama 🙂
My favorite thing in the morning: my three year old’s tiny footsteps coming down the hallway to find me, hearing his sweet voice say, “Hi Mommy!” and him immediately snuggling into my lap for a morning hug! I will never forget this ritual of ours!

2 – What I love most about mornings is the 5:30 wake-up call by my 6-month-old Cadence. I scoop her up before she fully wakes, and nurse her in the dark quiet of her nursery while she absently plays with my hair and bats at my face. It is this bit of peace, alone with my daughter, that fuels me for my day at work (where most of my thoughts are consumed by how much I miss her!).
Nella Girls smile just makes me want to kiss my computer screen.

My favorite part of the morning … Hopping out of bed {no matter what time} to get my sweet boy as soon as I hear a peep … much to my husband’s chagrin.
The smile I get from my one year old is amazing!!!! Each and every morning, when we walk in the room she lights up as if saying “where have you been all my life”?; LOVE HER!
My favorite part of the morning is when I go get the baby from her crib, sit her on my bed, and open the curtains and blinds. I always say “here comes the sun” and she giggles with delight. Makes me smile!

My favorite thing in the morning is walking into my son’s room and finding him already standing up in his crib. He gives me this heart melting smile and laughs like he’s ready to start the day. Sucks when I have to take him to the sitter and leave him, but we get to enjoy our afternoon walks 🙂
What I love most about mornings is walking into my sons room to see him standing in his crib with the biggest smile. Like he hasnt seen me in a thousand years and how we have to sit on the couch and cuddle for 20 minutes to wake up before starting breakfast 🙂

My favorite thing about mornings is getting up with my 16 month old and having one-on-one time before his older brother wakes up. My babe insists on picking out a different book every day. Then we go hang out in the bathroom, reading, making faces and noises, playing hand games, and giggling together while he potties.
