Let’s begin with this picture, shall we?
Since Thanksgiving, he–like his mother–has become obsessed with all things “Krimmif.” Krimmif tree, Krimmif lights, Krimmif movies and music and decorations. Let the fun begin.
Krimmif pajamas for a round of Duck, Duck, Goose.
And our first fire of the season, on Thanksgiving morning.
We continued our Thanksgiving tradition of our pajama breakfast with our neighbors, one of my favorite mornings of the year. Coffee, Mimosas, pancakes, Christmas music, Macy’s parade and all the cozy feels.
(watching the parade)
And then back home to prepare pies and potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner at Heidi’s house this year.
We looked this put together for all of the sixty seconds it took to take a few pictures by the woods.
We’ve been talking for years about merging our Thanksgiving plans–so glad it finally happened.
This leaf was my favorite. Be grateful for the basics, man. “For my life. Also family.” The rest is just icing.
The rest of the weekend has been dedicated to decorating the house and soaking up family.
And cleaning up the 500,000 paper cootie catchers Lainey learned how to make.
Feeling grateful and excited for so many special things we love about this season.
Epic Stocking Stuffer Guide and more holiday fun to come. My inner elf is alive and strong.

Oh my goodness your pictures are delightful ! I love reading your posts ! I always smile 🙂
We have merged family and friends for Thanksgiving now for 5 years and I love it!! It is the best of everything:)
These photos made me feel warm and a bit cheered up. Thank you. I’ve been feeling low lately and I needed this little pick-me-up, even if I don’t know you, it’s nice to know this is someone’s reality.
stoked about your inner elf =)
Oh my gosh cootie catchers!!! There’s a whole BOOK on cootie catchers! They have ones already made and you can write out silly things on them with their different themes.! I remember lovingggggggg that book!!!
Kelle, I have been wondering for years why all the walls in your house are white. You seem to love color! What’s up with that? Thanks for humoring my random question. Happy holidays!
Ha–good question. They’ve been beige, then dark chocolate, then beige again and I was beiged out. I love color accents and I love changing things out–pictures on the wall, toss pillows, etc. and I wanted something that would work with all my changes. For now it’s an off white, but Lord knows I’ll change it again.
This looks so glorious. I love how much community there is here in describing these few days! Family doesn’t have to be just family.
Hi Kelle! Your pics & family are beautiful!! I’m just wondering, on the pic of Heidi’s kitchen there are sparkles throughout the picture. I can’t help but wonder what that is!!?! I’ve been staring, trying to figure it out. It almost looks like you are having a visitor from beyond….lol
Beautiful Post.
Am I seeing things or did a real fairy leave a trail of fairy dust in the kitchen on Thanksgiving day? What is that lovely golden artifact in the photo you posted of the kitchen island? Magical! I have been reading your blog for years and you always help center me and remind me to focus on what’s important. For that, I thank you. Enjoy the season!
