i have a slew of baby girl dresses in size 12 months. a slew because all the smart people who gave me gifts knew that little girls don’t like to wear dresses until 12 months because they’re crawling up ’till then. and at 12 months everyone knows babies are walking. this, however, is a moot point for our little latest-walker-in-the-universe (also known as we-love-her-no-matter-when-she-walks).
this being said, since in the last two days someone came and took our crawler and replaced her with a full blown walker texas ranger, i can’t stop with the dresses. and with dresses come all-things-that-go-with-dresses like lace socks and maryjanes and peter pan collars and little bow clips for her hair.

…and this one’s for that book i’ll be writing. not sure what’s gunna be in it, but the title will be “when God made your lashes, he hit the ball out of the park.”

…and the rest of this post is just a little window into the fatherly love i get to witness every day when brett gets home from work. it’s magic. yesterday was a critter hunt, all over the yard. and the way that big strong hand cups her little back just gets me every time.

somebody spots a lizard on a tree!

…enjoying the frilly things AND the daddy things. (there’s two today…it’s a good day) ~k

just adorable.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the dress with the peter pan collar!!
The new header is really cool 🙂
That first pic, looks like a dress that grandma would LOVE – maybe would’ve sewn for Lainey. And the one with just legs and shoes look like a closeup of an American Girl doll. 🙂
okay, laughing so hard looking at that legs & shoes picture. it looks like little plastic doll legs with miniscule black shoes…like they’re only a couple inches long. they’re size FIVE which i can’t even believe ‘cuz i thought she’d be a size 2 forever, and she kinda skipped over 3 and 4.
Oh, I love frilly socks and mary janes. I even got to wear them for my last musical…check out my facebook album for proof. 🙂 As if you’d accuse me of lying. Those last pictures with Brett she reminds me of punky brewster with all those pattens and colors. So cute!
