Enjoying the Small Things

April 7, 2008 By Kelle

Another Sunday at the Church of the Holy Beach…

We love our Katie! She brought Lainey Love into the world, and this weekend she brought our friend Lily Grace into the world too! God bless OB nurses! Nothing bonds you to someone more than having them present during the most beautiful moment of your life! We love you, Katie!I spy a dolphin! Our waiter, Hal, brought Lainey her own little bowl of strawberry shortcake out onto the beach. An entire group of restaurant onlookers started shouting, “Let her have it! Give it to her!” so, with an audience, I handed her this little bowl of cake. Everyone was cheering her on and clapping as she devoured it!

Daddy took her out into the water with her little floatie, and she LOVED it…especially because she could touch, so she would “walk” in her floatie from one side of the beach to the other!
WOW WHEE! Did you draw this, Lainey Love? You are brilliant! Now crawl inside that heart ‘cuz that’s where you belong! You’re in our hearts forever!

That is the funniest thing her diving into the strawberry shortcake. How amazing that Katie had some special part bringing Lainey, Alan, and Lily into this world.
