Code Nakey

June 4, 2008 By Kelle

Call the Baby Police. We’ve got a Code Nakey on our hands, Folks.

Cubby’s newest obsession: gettin’ nakey. All the time. Pulls at her clothes. Cries. Whines. Tears.

It starts with the socks. I find them under the coffee table, at the bottom of the crib, in between the xylophone bars in the toy box.

Then the shirt comes off. She can actually do this herself, or shall I say she can get her head out which leaves her arms trapped like little sticks in a straight-jacket which leads to hysterics and me running to the rescue.

The pants, she’s workin’ on, but isn’t quite there. Mama helps with that one. And once stripped to freedom, we have one very happy baby.

And her diapered butt crawls off into the sunset.

P.S. ‘dja ever think how funny it would be if we behaved like babies? Like if we were in the grocery store just pushin’ our cart and all the sudden had the itch to be naked…and we whined and cried, ripped off our clothes and then just crawled down Aisle 7 towards the produce? How come babies can get away with it?

Thank you, Kelle, for your final words on this post. I am a highly visual person and now, I am clawing at my mind’s eyes to clear the image of adults crawling naked near fresh produce. Somehow, what is pretty adorable with Code Nakey became horrific with Code Beulah. Know when to stop a blog post–they can get away from you.

What, this isn’t a familiar scene at the Silverbelle Kroger? For real? Maybe it’s just a Publix thing. Gotta come to Naples, man. You see everything here.

Love it!!! Sometimes I wish we were all given the freedom to be so naive and free! What a world it would be, huh? Well…maybe not at the grocery store, but you get it!

So I must be the only one that wants a pic of her with her half in/out of her shirt! I’m just imagining the whole “arms trapped like sticks”. Must be hot in Naples!

The one thing I love the most about Kelle’s blog is taking a few minutes to see how amazingly creative, fun and funny she is . . . it’s like daydreaming, soaking in the brief brain rest we all need – then poof back to reality!

oh, the socks, the socks. this is only the beginning. get used to the socks. even now, as I type, I look down and what do I see? a dirty sock, inside out. what comes over them? it’s like immediate feet freak out…

hmmmm…and now we’re all wondering just who that anonymous commentator is just above…

I meant to leave a comment on this earlier today..I was at work and thought, I wonder what Lainey Love is up to? and, well. it was a great diversion between my day of meetings. And the PS….I love it! I always think about stuff like this! Like, what if people skipped instead of walked? What would that look like?
