So, my first reaction to Self Portrait Challenge’s new theme was, in fact, a big “Hampton, OUT”…but then again, art is art and a challenge is a challenge (no, I would not jump off a bridge if Self Portrait Challenge told me to…well, maybe if there was good lighting). And I hate the stigma that nude is bad or suggestive…because it’s not.
Out of my comfort zone? Slightly.
But here goes.
If I thought about how many things I’d like to change about my body, I’d probably be able to come up with a hundred. But, I don’t think about those things. In fact, since I’ve had a baby, I respect my body so much more and love it for what it did. It is strong and powerful and made a miracle come to life. I focus on what I like, and I do know one thing that I like very much…my collar bones. So there.

great pic! i like that you left your necklace on, it emphasizes your collar bone even more.
i’m sorry, but i have to say it… what if your favorite part were your um chest parts? now that would have been an eye opening shot for SPC…
delete comment if you wish, since i mention your unmentionables.
That made me laugh out loud. Jury rules…COMMENT STANDS!!!
And “unmentionable” is a very “mentionable” word ‘cuz it’s fun to say…”unmentionable”…say it. Rolls off the tongue. But, then again…so does “chest parts.”
I totally get “being out of your comfort zone”. From an artistic perspective this is a very classy, powerful picture. WOW! Very impressive! :o)
Two CODE NAKEYS right in a row! did you take this in the produce aisle?
wherever you took it, it is beautiful.
as are you.
Code Nakey! That was funny, Carin!:)
Shoot! Carin beat me to the Code Nakey comment! ha! You are beautiful, Kelle. That picture is so vogue. Love it. Love you.
this is a lovely photo.
I’m blushing. (peeking thru split fingers)
We have a Code 4-2-8-1 Nakeys on aisle 9! Please report immediately.
(sitting up straight acting maturely)
Picture is BEAUTIOUS!!
Speechless…
I thought of this last night…what if someone immature (not me of course) commented on this post and said,
“We need a cleanup on aisle 9”.
I can’t imagine anyone commenting like that. Gross.
Ok, I’ll stop.
One question…Who’s Betty? Welcome, Betty…I love that name…lke Jack for a man, Betty for a woman! There is a beauty in basic. And as your father, I too celebrate your choice of a collar bone…over other choices like those Tisha so boldly mentioned, unmentionable as they are…tee hee
Wow, Kelle, this blog blows me away. I feel like I am watching a Hollywood movie or something…..Hey, next week we should plan a date to get together……….Nate would love to have Brandon over……..Next week is my first week of not working.
Lovely collar bone! Love your tossled hair! I was getting all nervous for you as I was reading then scrolled down to the tasteful picture…thanks for leaving the full frontal to our imagination. :)Not that I’m imagining…uh oh.
your expression and your bones…there’s an honesty i see. love it.
This is a beautiful shot – one of my faves for this week! Also, this – “no, I would not jump off a bridge if Self Portrait Challenge told me to…well, maybe if there was good lighting” – totally cracked me up!!!!
hahaha ewwwww, cleanup on aisle 9 ;0
You DO have nice collarbones! 🙂 And I love your ankles in that one picture you used to have up with Lainey between your feet, all dressed in blue – such a glam mom!
Hey hot stuff. Beautiful photo! I couldn’t agree more about honoring my body since birthing a human. Powerful stuff.
Absolutely BBEEEEOOOOOTIIIFUUULLLL!!! I’m probably the umpteenth person to say so,
