So, while my life generally consists of a nice juggling of laundry folding, picnics in the yard and afternoons scouring cookbooks for recipes with ingredients we actually have on hand, there are times when a whole lotta fabulousness rains on us all in one weekend. Not that home making isn’t fabulous. I wouldn’t trade my days home with my girls for the world. It was my first pick for The Life I Dreamed Of. And fortunately, I won the lotto there. But, if The Life I Dreamed Of hadn’t panned out, I had The Back-up Plan. And The Back-up Plan involved some fabulous city, hailing cabs, wearing heels and pretending I was really, really important. It’s still my alter ego. And, this weekend…I dipped into it, head first.
Here’s the cool thing. While previous fabulous nights had me choosing between kids and crazy fun like there was a difinitive line separating the two, sometimes fabulousness allows us to merge the two. Sometimes, we can wear heels and feel like a rockstar while slingin’ our baby to our chest–get this: at the same time. Gasp.
So it was Friday night when I glossed my lips and slipped into my heels to join the girls for the Sex and the City movie.
And, because my girl won’t take a bottle, she got to come with. And, how cool it was to blend my polar opposites–my home-lovin’ mama heart with my inner city girl–as I jammied my girl and patted her down with some Burt’s Bees to make her smell extra delicious for all the lovins I knew she’d be getting from my friends…and popped her in the sling, nestled right next to my fabulous dress, and high-tailed it out in my sky-high heels for a night of fabulousness…baby on board.
And I spent the evening huddled in a dark theatre alternating my eyes between Carrie Bradshaw and my sleepin’ girl who was passed down the line of my friends.
…who looked really fabulous, might I add.
And here’s my great shoes, juxtapositioned nicely between the wad of toilet paper resting on the floor in my bathroom stall.
And that was only the beginning of the weekend’s fabulousness because Saturday morning, my girls and I headed out across 75 to the other side of Florida to meet Katie in Miami.
I met Katie the night she was the scheduled nurse for Lainey’s delivery. And then she just went and crawled up in my heart and never came out. She loves my girls and we love her. And she lives in a fabulous condo overlooking the Miami skyline.
We commenced our morning strolling up Lincoln Rd., stopping in little shops, sipping lattes in cafe chairs, and fanning menus to cool the sweaty babies (who we eventually let strip down to diaper/undies because it was that hot).
We savored sangria, meandered our way around the palm tree peppered streets and dove into air-conditioned coffee shops every ten minutes to cool off the babies…
Miami Beach is saturated with culture and color. As we zig-zagged the stroller through throngs of bikini-clad women and cigar peddlars and made our way past art deco hotels piping out Cuban beats and graciously cooling us pedestrians with fan misters, I tried to drink it in…the moment…the memory…the awesome truth that there are so many fabulous places in this world that allow us to suck the marrow out of life a little more and still be mamas.
That’s a bike with no seat. ???? What the? Uncomfortable.
By lunchtime when we breaked for an ice tea at an outside cafe on Ocean Dr., it was torturous hot. We were greased with sweat, blowing on the babies to keep them cool and I couldn’t even cross my legs without them slipping apart. Discomfort that requires expletives for explanation, in case you were wondering. So, Lainey and Nella and I ditched inside Sephora while Katie took a cab back to get the car. Lainey thought Sephora was heaven. I allowed her three disposable lip gloss wands and we strolled through the aisles until she pointed out the lipgloss she wanted to try. A purple Lancome. A pink Clinique. A peachy Yves Saint Laurent. You would have thought I took her to Disneyworld.
Two minutes and three used lipgloss wands later, we were, I’m sure, annoying the associates. So we left back into the heat and onto 8th and Collins where I stood on the corner, attempting to discretely nurse a sweaty Nella and keep a stroller from rolling into the street while waiting for Katie to pull up and rescue us. Some guy holding a stack of nightclub V.I.P. passes actually came up to me and said “You lookin’ for a nightclub tonight?” Dude, does it look like I’m looking for a nightclub? I’m nursing a baby and pushing a stroller. When in Rome doesn’t exactly apply to everyone.
We skipped the nightclub and instead headed back to Katie’s where the pool welcomed us and we happily dove in…
How’s that for a pool view?
And, just about the time we were going to head across the Ally back home, the sky went from this…
to this…
And driving on a narrow stretch of freeway between two alligator-laden swamps in the middle of a monsoon is not my idea of a good time…or a safe one, so we called it a night and opted for a sleepover right there on the 32nd floor, overlooking Miami.
The view from our bed last night…
…and this morning…
Good Morning, Miami!
Katie, we love you so very much. If we can borrow your happenin’ city single life from time to time, you can borrow our cozy family waffle-making, cookie-baking life anytime you want. xoxo
And the icing on the cake was arriving home today to a package from my cousin’s wife who made my girls the most beautiful matching apron dresses that they just might live in for the rest of their lives. Thank you, Madison! Her Etsy shop here.
So, the fabulous weekend may have come to an end, but joy still awaits in the morning.
Oh wait…walked by this cool store in Miami…
…which had me thinking…how ’bout one? A random commenter will win a $50 gift certificate from Belkai Designs. Winner will be announced this Tuesday. Oh, and if you feel like it, let me know where you’re from when you comment.

Beautiful post…so much fun!!
It’s such fun to read your posts Kelle – honestly I know it gets said alot and this is just one iddy-biddy comment amongst a gazillion…but…I still feel compelled to say, I love your blog. I get this happy feeling every time I visit – you really ought to bottle it. Even with the poignant and downright sad posts, there is still hope. And posts like this one – just make me so nostalgic for the Florida I spent my childhood in…it actually makes my heart ache with distance. So – thank you – again and again! Louise x
Wow!!!! What a place you live in. It’s so different from little old New Zealand.
Every time I see a photo of Nella smiling, I feel like hugging my little Pete.
Thanks for a glorious post.
Bridget
Beautiful post, as always :). Those shoes are hot! And I love the pool pictures especially.
I’m so happy you posted tonight – I sensed one was on the way and I was right!
You’re awesome Kelle, and your girls are so beautiful! xx
It takes a lot of talent to make a grey gloomy sky look really awesome! (And I live in the UK so I have my fair share of those!)
Isn’t nice to try the other side every once in awhile. Thanks for sharing your FAB weekend, made me smile. And holy cannoli we sure are in for a hot one this summer in good old FL.

Your words and pictures never fail to take my breath away, I just devour every single blog post.
You and your friends are all gorgeous, you girls look straight out of a movie!
Your posts are ALWAYS SO AMAZING! Your girls are gorgeous!!!
Kelle- While I love the life I have staying home with my little boy, my “back up plan” also involved living in a high rise condo (If i were to stay single I never imagined myself living in a house, always a condo or apartment… easier to clean maybe?) in a bustling city, late nights out in fabulous heel and bright lipsticks, and basically being Carrie Bradshaw. (There were no plans on how to finance said life…. details, details)
Anyway, as always love your blog, your girls and your life! Thanks for the smile this morning!

I love it!! And love your new banner. Now you gotta read All Over But the Shoutin – Rick Bragg. It’s an Aunt E book recommend that’s a must for any Florida girl 🙂
always enjoy reading your blog and I love Miami. We were there in April.
I love living life through you! I would DIE to live near the beach and to have that single city life. but I also wouldn’t give my life up for anything!
I love that you became instant friends with Lainey’s nurse. At the beginning of this post I was wondering how you could have so many friends to go see SATC since you’re not from Florida. Now I know. I thought it was just your blog but even in real life, everyone wants to be your bestie. Looks like an amazing weekend!
Fabulous post, as to be expected. But this one made me hot just reading it. Ugh, the heat– and to think it’s only June.
Oh, and I AM LOVING those dresses– so adorable!
Hmmm…as the mom of a little who doesn’t take a bottle, I need to take a page from your book. I need some mama time, but that mama time can certainly include baby!
Would love a pretty little something from Belkai.

Great post! And I need that Cardinal Ring at Belkai Designs!
Glad you had such a great time in Miami! You are all such beautiful girls!
my 2 cents on the missing bike seat…
either the owner took it off and carried it inside with them so it wouldn’t get stolen, or someone else stole it off of the parked bike – that happened to me back in college 🙁
Thank you Kelle for sharing so much happiness! You really inspire us how to appreciate and enjoy life. You, your girls and your family are amazing !!
Big warm Hugs from Ida in Norway 🙂
I just HAVE to tell you…you are SO PRETTY! I love looking at you pics!!! I have totally become the frumpy mom I didnt want to become! You inspire me!!!

I read your blog from Google Reader, so I hadn’t seen your new header. God knows how longs it’s been there. You and your girls look beautiful as always. I live in South Florida and was actually thinking of going down to South Beach this weekend. Now I’m kicking myself because it would’ve been awesome to see you and your daughters in person! Such a fun post! Looks like an incredible weekend! That VIEW! BEAUTIFUL! LOVE YOUR BLOG!!!!!
What beautiful little apron dresses! We live in a town that doesn’t even sell fabric anymore (thanks for that Walmart!). But your post makes me want to head to the city to choose some delicious summer prints and get the sewing machine out!
I love reading about your adventures and looking at your photos. I tell my husband all the time that one day we are going to trek way down there to you just to have you shoot my children. The girls are beautiful as always.
Tricia
Love that Lainey was all about Sephora–what a great cooling off stop!
Man I can’t even take a course booked a month in advanced without a big fiasco and here you are going to the movies with your friends and Miami with your girls. Guess I’ll just have to live vicariously because I have serious doubts that I’ll ever see a weekend away again.
I have never had the urge to live in Miami until I saw it through your pics! Simply Amazing.
You always have such positive things to say in your posts. You are a true and genuine person~it shows in your posts! I love all of the pictures of your girls and it looks like you all had a great weekend! How much fun to involve them in everything that you do~that is special!
Thanks for making me giggle, Kelle. I love the part where the guy was passing out the night club flyers and you declined. I still say the word “dude” too, although I think it’s passe with the younger crowd. Ah well! It still gets my point across! You are looking gorgeous – totally the hot mama! Thanks for the giveaway!
Thanks again for sharing your life with us all crazy blog stalkers! 🙂

So beautiful! I want to visit Miami! Those Apron Dresses are so adorable! I need some for my 6 nieces 🙂
Your girls are so beautiful. Thank you for always making my days a little brighter with your possitive posts.
For everyone who tells me that having a baby will essentially be the end of my “fun” life, you remind me that starting a family will just extend the fun, not end it. 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration. And also, that was a pretty fabulous dress you were wearing in Miami! 🙂

Hi Kelle, I have been following your blog for a while now, but have never commented…until today.
I am busy reading your awesome post (as always) and suddenly I spot the South African flag in one of your photos. Its the one with you holding Nella and I think Lainey is in a pram, in the top right is the South African flag hanging outside a restuarant.
Being South African I nearly jumped out my skin with excitement, I had to comment right away…I haven’t even finished reading your post 🙂
Anyway just wanted to say hi, and tell you how much I love your blog!
Sending lots of blog love all the way from South Africa!
Hayley
love.
Coming here to read a new post is like getting a new comic book before a road trip…you know the trip is going to be a good one, because you have some good reading to catch up on…love reading about your adventures with your girls…i find myself nodding to myself inwardly, thinking…”i know what she means”…:)
Wonderful weekend for a wonderful life!
Me again…the flag is in the top LEFT of the photo…not top right 🙂
There is so much beauty in this post. Thank you.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the dresses! I need a little girl!!!!!
I just found your blog a few days ago and have been taken in! It’s fabulous! Thanks for the greta posts and even more amazing photos!
Beautiful pictures as always Kelle!
I love reading your blog! Your girls are soo cute, and I love all your pictures you take!
Lovin’ the pic of you in front of Pottery Barn. Nella’s toes are to die for!
I spent a low key rainy weekend with my family here at home in Niagara Falls but having read your post I feel like I’ve been to Miami and back – is it possible to get sunburn from reading a blog?
Great blog!
Great giveaway!
Isn’t it so fun to have those getaways?
Also, I’m adoring those dresses. I definitely need to check them out for my little one.
I don’t know if its just me, but sometimes reading the joy and passion you have for life just makes me want to run outside and enjoy it too. And the views from your friends place were fantastic!!
Kelle,
I have been following your blog for a while. I started just after Nella was born. I couldn’t stop reading because it hit so close to home for me. You are so adept at putting into words so many things that I could identify with. We have a 3 yr old daughter with a little magical something extra! :)I was hooked!
Then I fell in love with your writing…the happiness we can find in our days with our “littles” and the small, seemingly insignificant moments we often lose sight of…How could I forget to see those?
Your posts ALWAYS make me want to get off the computer right NOW, squeeze my children close, and go LIVE the most fabulous day EVER!
I love your spontaneity…and your focus on what is really IMPORTANT in life.
You’ve inspired me to not let the months pass us by, but to make the most of this summer…this year… this LIFE. I have big plans and am already diving in. 🙂
Time does pass so quickly…and I HATE it. But I have realized that I can either live with regret that life with my children fled so quickly or I can soak up every moment and live with rejoicing that we had such precious moments and memories together.
Thanks for always challenging me to be “enjoying the small things” while they last. After all, the SMALL things are our story.
I don’t comment often but I look forward to your new posts and always read them. Your love for your girls is amazing.
Your words and photos are inspiring, and remind me to soak in all the good stuff of being a Mama of 4 little ones. By Friday I was feeling a serious need for a break, then Saturday came a night out at a music festival with my dear husband. Very refreshing, and made me miss me kiddos so much I couldn’t wait to check on them sleeping when we got home. Feeling blessed!
Loved it! Love your girls! Love Miami (were I live) Love your pictures! I’m sure people will be wanting to come to Miami after reading your blog!
I have to take a trip to your end and enjoy a nice sunset afternoon with my little boy, they’re just fabulous!!
What a glorious weekend!!! And I love all the pics of your Miami adventure. So different than the coast of CA…
Such cute dresses on such cute girls! I wish I could sew like that!
i LOVE your shoes (the ones you wore to see sex and the city) love love love!
love, love, love following your blog….looking at your awesome pics….and stalking the shopping sites you recommend! Headed over to Etsy right now cause I have a super cute little one that would love a new dress!
Wow I wish I were you! Sounds like you have a joyous time anywhere you are. Those babies are gorgeous!!! Lisa L.
Love those apron dresses! And I love when a mom can nurse, walk, talk, push a stroller and care for a toddler all at once. We rock!!
Love the bicycle pic!
My daughter and I were visiting Pensacola last weekend and as I ran into CVS,I stopped to humer a guy who was taking the seat off his bike. Guess I was looking at him like he was crazy (as I thought he was). He shrugged his shoulders and said: Hey, who’s gonna steal a bike with no seat?
I had to agree! Your post was beautiful and inspiring as usual! Can’t wait for the next one 🙂
You’ll think I’m crazy, but at random times during the day with my four kids I think back to your blog. I try my best to see the good in my day and enjoy my kids. Thank you!
I loved the pics of SATC night! You looked gorgeous and your baby Nella bean was just a doll.
What a great weekend!
Miami looks so fun! A Florida trip is in my near future.
Two things:
1. You rock the “mama wearing heels” thing.
and
2. I’M gonna go out next weekend and rock out the “mama wearing heels” thing…and that’s sayin’ somethin’ for an introvert from Ohio!
I went to Miami for the first time last year. Isn’t it just lovely?
gorgeous pics! can i live my life through yours? LOL ..
your girls are beautiful and happy! I’d love to visit Miami one day..
thanks for sharing!
hugs
juli
Your girls in the big city…they would be cute anywhere. I so admire your go with the flow attitude. I’m still trying to work on mine. You are a true inspiration!

I love your blog and your pictures are like spring every day.
so addicted to your blog! i go back and read your posts over and over and over again. you make me feel like being a momma is the coolest thing in the world (because it is duh!). you remind me that i don’t have to hang up my heals just because i spend most days flips and yoga pants!
looks like such a great time! you are truly blessed with a beautiful family and wonderful friends!
Man I love your blog!! Kelle, I love reading your adventures. Thanks for sharing!!
You make me miss South Florida so much!!
Isn’t it wonderful how having our children sometimes brings us closer to people that we wouldn’t have met otherwise? Like all of us and you and your blog!!! All because of our kiddos!!!Love it, love the sunshine, the sweaty babies and all the fun!!!
As if I wasn’t already in love enough, the picture of Nella in the stroller without clothes on and just the hat totally stole my heart!!
I am a mama of 2 with a 3rd on the way so I totally love when sexy, free fun me can hang with the baby wearing, juice toting mama me!! Love it!
Oh and by the way, people take their seats off the bikes so that people don’t steal them 🙂
LOVE reading your blog. You are amazing, inspiring, and make me want to know you in real life! I agree about all your outlooks on life. We can be both. A wonderfull mommy and a sassy city-loving girl! The best of both worlds and I wont give up either! 🙂
Looks and sounds like it was such a fabulous trip!! Love that stroller too, by the way!
Is Nella totally out while IN the pool and being held upright??? If so then I’m jealous… my kids were not given the gift of sleep and we have to work for every wink! Love your sweet girls 🙂
Love love love the blog Kelle! Always reminding me to look on the bright side of life <3
You captured my city so beautifully! Teach a class, PLEASE!! Even if all i get to do is meet your little girls!
You have the most beautiful babies in the world! Your blog makes me so excited to be a mother. 🙂
I so appreciate that your “backup plan” of a life, didn’t need to comepletely go away because your “dream” of a life…came to stay. (ugh, i just rhymed)
Happy Sunday to you, and your loves! I hope it’s a beautiful one over there!!
so fun! glad those babes got to experience city life with their mama! what great memories. 🙂
I love that you take Lainey and Nella with you everywhere you go, and I am still in awe that no one in the theater knew that there was a newborn among the movie goers. This was such a great night and I am so glad you were there, and even more so that I woke up the next morning with the smell of Burts Bees reminding me of Nella. xoxo
Hi Kelle! Thanks again for sharing and your wonder photography!

What a lovely weekend! I’m loving your blog.
Your weekend looked so fabulous! Beautiful pictures as always….looks like you are doing a fine job of straddling mommyhood and that of a free spirit!
LOVE the night skyline! So awesome that you had a great weekend! I really should try to get to more places around Florida (I live in Pinellas Cty). I don’t even think I have been to Naples yet! Time for a road trip!
And – the kids are so cute in their apron dresses!
I went to Miami once. Only for a short time, as it was where my then brand new husband and I would board a ship to set sail on our honeymoon cruise. I must say, I certainly wish we would have had your friend Katie as a tour guide because we sure stuck out like a couple of sore thumbs. We were two country kids from Texas thrown into a foreign land! And trust me, we didn’t walk fast enough, drive fast enough or think fast enough to survive on our own! We had grand plans for our day in Miami but ended up confused and exhausted and in bed by sundown at the first vacant hotel we could find. But your story and pictures give me a renewed desire to visit Miami and see it the way it’s supposed to be seen – now I need to find my own Katie and hightail it south.
Kelle, your blog has been posted on more than one of the pregnancy forums I frequent (14 weeks, 5 days today!), and I can see why all of these wonderful women I discuss every plan and pain with are so crazy about your blog. I check back for a new post every day, and love the beautiful life and happiness that every word and picture is filled with.
Those dresses are GORGEOUS, but not near so much as those two little girls! Thanks so much for sharing your life with us!
Today is National Cancer Survivors Day and we held a huge event welcoming our champions back for simple, sweet celebration–of life, rich, radiant and real. It is always so emotional for me to greet these incredible warriors and their families after sitting in the shadows with them–and today, enjoying the sunshine of surviving. And I had my moment…a tiny assemblage of seconds dripping with joy and deep emotion. The band was playing…a happy song that compelled you to dance. One young lady made her way to the dance floor and danced alone–with utter abandon and bliss. And while I hoped others would join our solo spinner, I looked again and noticed…our dancer was adult in years but a child in mind. I was hungry and on my way to the serving line…but I couldn’t let her dance alone with nearly 700 people watching. Mid-conversation with friends, I turned and ran to the dance floor and we danced. And we danced. She had moves. She felt the music. She grabbed my hand and did spins for me. She laughed. I laughed. She loved. I loved. And for a few moments, I heard the special music too seldom heard. And when the song ended, we hugged, and she said, “Thank you for dancing with me!” And I said, “No…thank you…for teaching me to dance like you!” I am learning new steps…to joy! I was a long way from Miami, but I felt the warmth! God has blessed you with so much beauty…all around you! I love you!
That’s the great thing about nursing – no need to worry about not packing extra bottles.
Are you sure you and your friends are actually the next group to be on America’s Next Top Model? 😉
Looks like you had a great weekend, thanks for sharing!
What a wonderful Miami trip! Your girls are lucky to have such a fun mommy!
And I can’t even begin to tell you how in LOVE I am with those darling apron dresses…I’m off to browse that cute etsy shop!
Living on the other side of the state, I think you perfectly described the miserable heat and felt your pain – glad you were able to take a dip in the pool and enjoy a sleepover with that amazing view!

You make me remember what a beautiful place this world is! Thank you! Your children and your pictures and of course you, are gorgeous! Oh, and I have been wavering on weather I need a bugaboo lately, you may have just cast the final vote!

BTW I am totally addicted to your blog… I have to say I’ve probably spent way too much time reading it- & I love your outlook on life. And you have totally inspired me to take more pictures, not only of my kids but of everything… and I just sold my Nikon yesterday & am switching to Canon, going to pick up my new one tonight! wooo hoo! 🙂
We had our engagement shoot on Lincoln Rd, ahh brings back memories!
Awesome photos! *I think I know where I want to have a girl’s weekend next summer* 🙂
lady – you are an endless stream of inspiration! Love this post, as always~

You are the most beautiful person I have ever seen in my life!!!!! I love you blog and I am so thankful I found this blog to make me happy when I’m having a down day! thankyou
I love watching your life through your beautiful pictures. Your girls are divine!
i love that you embrace being a mom and having fun! thank you for constantly posting proof that the two coexist.
Just wanted to give a shoutout on my current favorite blog. 😉
I think I need to become a seamstress and make some dresses like you have your girls in the second to last picture! I LOVE THEM!
and as per usual… you are fabulous!
PS. Were you as dissapointed with Sex and the City as I was? I needed more NEW YORK! and less over-extravagant desert!!! BUT, I will still be a Sex and the City girl… until the end of time 🙂
Beautiful girls!
Thank you for reminding me that Mamas need a little vacay and fun time every now and again! With that said, email to girlfriends commences for a night out and margaritas.
Gosh – ya know? No matter what kind of mood I’m in, your blog always lifts my spirits a little more 🙂 Your girls are precious and your little trip looks like it was so much fun!
Looks like you had a glorious weekend!
Love the sweaty baby pics! : )
Oh my GOODNESS! LOL I just LOVED Lainey in Sephora! I was thinking before I read it she’s in heaven! How incredibly adorable! :o)
Nella Bella you are shining as always!
Glad you had a great time in Miami!
Poppa, you brought me to tears! What a beautiful story. And it’s way past due for you to start a blog! :o)
Glad you had fun in Miami. Looking forward to seeing more posts with your new friends!
I love your blog, I read it every day.
The writing, pictures and the girls are all beautifull.
Loving your last minute sleepover 🙂 Who said gone are the days of sleeping over with great pals like we did when we were 8 years old..
having the babes makes it that much better.. im going to smooch my little 5 month old now – just because i can 🙂
Love reading as always Kelle
Miami looks like so much fun!!! I’m a new reader– Totally in love with your blog (and your camera!) I have a Cannon 5D Mark II and so so in love with it!
I also have a 20 month old daughter, Harper, who is precious as can be.

As always, a fabulous post. Keep them coming. I love checking each day for a new one. Those apron dresses are too sweet 🙂
love this post! being a bike owner in a big city, i think the seat was probably missing because the owner took it with them. seats are easy to remove and thus easy to steal so i often take mine with me if i lock my bike to a busy street. 🙂
goes without saying, but your girls are precious, and you inspire the kind of life i want in a few years once schoolin’ is done.
thank you for your words, and much love!
delicious. ‘nuf said.
What a full and lovely weekend! Your blog is always the perfect pick-me-up.

Kelle, I love your spontaneity and how you decided last minute to stay overnight at your friend’s place. And what a great friend she seems. Love Nella and Lainey’s pictures.
All of your lovely posts make me smile, laugh, cry, dance, enjoy and most important to me and my children, LIVE. No matter the subject, your words and pictures just make my heart happy. Thank you for reaching out into the world through this blog and sharing bits and pieces of your life and outlook. It means so much. Oh, and never have I wanted to hop on a plane to Miami so bad until this most recent post..minus the terribly uncomfortable heat you mention! Looks like such a fun, alive city!!
Beautiful post, as always. I love sitting down in the midst of a crazy day (fellow homemaker momma of two here – well, almost two) to read about your beautiful and inspiring lives!
I love the story of the guy from the night club approaching you! LOL! Perhaps he thought you needed a slippery nipple… oh wait!
Your blogs put a smile on my face every time :o)
Oh, to be young and single in Miami! I don’t even remember what that is like but thanks for taking me on the ride. Nella and Lainey are both so beautiful!
I love love love your blog. I jump on every evening after my little girl is in bed, secretly hoping you have a new post that can inspire me to take more photos, have fun with lip gloss, and love my life a little more.
What a fabulous weekend! I can’t wait to see SATC and a great idea to get all dressed up for it. Hopefully I can convince my friends we need to do the same!
i’ve been dying since wednesday for a new post!! i can relax now 🙂

What a fabulous weekend! You seriously know how to make motherhood look fantastic. Your family is beautiful.
I read a lot of blogs, and yours has become my absolute favorite. My first little baby, Olivia, was born a couple months after your Nella and it is so fun watching them grow together!
You are totally my photography inspiration. You capture Nella’s beauty so perfectly, and I’ve learned so much from you! Thanks for another gorgeous post. I really miss Florida. Hope to be moving back as soon as me and the husband graduate!
I. Love. Your. Posts. And the bigger the better!
As always….you inspire me. Thank you so much for sharing. Now I gotta go, so I can pick up my camera and snap away at all the ‘normal’. 🙂 …..from Mission Viejo, California.
Dear Random.org,
Pick me. Please and thankyou.
Joy
Oh my gosh – how ’bout I borrow YOUR fabulous life sometime? 😀 Loved the pics of you and your girls at SATC…looks like you had a ton of fun. I was wondering how I would manage to go to the movie with a three month old at home…but now I can see that he should come with!!!
By the way, I am your most faithful follower from Calgary, Alberta, Canada!
What fun. Always good to shake it up!
The group shot is gorgeous….! And I had to giggle thinking of what my gaggle of gals look like on a girl’s night…flip flops, ‘nice’ jeans, a clean tank and non-nursing bras. You ladies were so sex in the city. I love it.
The bike seat thing happens a lot in bike towns…it’s one thing that is easily stolen and sold…leaving the rider totally stranded! karma’s a bitch.
Love!
Looks like you girls had fun in the city!!
I enjoy reading about your darlings!

What a fabulous weekend. I have always wanted to travel to fun and foreign cities! I am a city girl living in a little town! I am from Cranbrook BC, all the way up here in Canada!
Welcome to my neck of the woods! I’m actually in Fort Lauderdale, FL and I frequent Miami quite often. It looks like you and your beautiful girls had a fabulous time!
Hey there. I am chagrined to be finally commenting on your gorgeous, inspiring blog for a giveaway post, but hey… ya had me at free. I have, like so many, been sucked into this blog ever since coming across a link to Nella’s birth story. However, it’s your infectious ability to… enjoy those small things that keeps me coming back (or honestly, clicking that link in my blessed reader). You remind me to look for those golden linings and keep going for the happy. Thanks.
Looks like lots of fun w/ all the girls! 🙂 Have a wonderful week!

I sooooo would not fit into your life, LOL! That’s all. Oh, I’m living in the D.C. suburbs but I’m from Texas.
Love you blog and your story! You are an amazing woman!
I am a Mississippi girl here!!!
Love reading about your life!
I love the balance I see in you with your family and friends…last week I went to see sex and the city 2 with my girlfriends as well, minus my girls. It is amazing how our lives parallel. 2 girls, youngest with down syndrone. My girls are 3 years apart. My girls are 14 yrs old and then my angel is 10 years old but will tell you in a heart beat that in july she will be 11!
We are from Reading, PA.
I am from Texas, and Miami looks beautiful!
I recently found your blog and love it! Thanks for helping me to remember to enjoy the small stuff daily!

Looks like a fabulous little trip! And, if I might add those really are some killer shoes 🙂 Sending love all the way from St. Louis!
I am so in love with your blog, I wish I had a way with words and photos like you do. I’m sure Miami is hot and humid, I’ll take my “dry” temps. in Phoenix, but it’s 110 today!
What a wonderful post! The pictures are all so colorful and full of life!
Just beautiful!
Emma
I wish I could decorate the halls of my house with your blog…of course, with some of the pictures being my 2 baby girls, but yours are there in my heart, too 🙂
I love mama adventures. I live in the suburbs of Chicago, travel with my hubs on a tour bus, and hope to see SATC2…next week! 😉 xo
What a beautiful day in Florida! I wish I had that to look at instead of the downpours out here in Portland, Oregon!!!!!
Thanks for reminding me that kids can go along for the ride sometimes. Who says a toddler and a baby in a sling can’t shop the streets of Miami, can’t go to the movies because my baby won’t take a bottle–hooey! (although I am sure my little (7 month old) monkey would scream her head off and I would get kicked out of the theatre-but so what).
I love my 2 girls to death, but I need to get out there more, with or without them and love the heck out of everything life has to offer. Thanks for inspiring me and reminding me of things I don’t want to forget.
In Waterloo, Ontario, Canada here and loving the veiw of sunny Florida
Thanks
I so want my life to be just like yours one day. For now I get to live my single 21 year old go out and party days, but when I think of my future I hope I have two beautiful children just like yours, and that I look as good as you do while I’m doing it. You are so blessed with your amazing family and with a great group of friends as well.
I feel like everyone says it, but honestly there is something about you that makes me want to be best friends with you. Is that ok? lol
Loved living through you and the girls on this blog entry! Can’t wait for some time like that with my daughter…although living in Calgary, Alberta doesn’t provide the wonderful beaches!!
Everything about you and your family and your life is just beautiful and so inspiring! I’m a new-ish reader, and love your blog!
I’m missing the sun so much! Rain, rain and more rain over here in Seattle.
I’m missing the sun so much! Rain, rain and more rain over here in Seattle.
they take the seats off bike so that way nobody would steal it, who want’s a bike with no seat right? so when they come back they put on the seat and they’re good to go! : )
Love the post, I’ve been waiting for you to leave one.
Oh, and I’m from Ontario Canada!
okay. so…i can’t even think that you’ll get to reading MY comment…because you have a ga-zillion to read…but i am going to try…a)because i love free stuff (and am never very lucky)and b)i totally love.love.love your blog, and think you do a tremendous job at encouraging young moms out there… so…i am a happily married 32 year old, stay at home mother of 4 (in 5 yrs. may i add… 🙂 ) from a small town in chester county, pennsylvania…while i am lookin’ at your precious post of you and your friends all dolled up, and lovin’ your city slicker weekend away, i am here…at our farm, of 75,000 organic chickens, some goats, beef cattle, some cats, and 2 dogs, lovin’ my life. if you ever want to visit the country…come our way. i’d be happy to host your fam, and love to meet you. ha. i know. where’s the time, right? 🙂 keep up the excellent journaling. my husband came in the other night, and asked me what i was doing…and i said, “you know…checking up on kelle.” as if…i know you. 🙂 missy.
Everything about you is beautiful! I love reading your posts – you have a wonderful way of putting things into perspective. Glad you had a great weekend! from Kim, Boston, MA
Looks like fun!
Posting from Washington State. 🙂
As I look at your photos I always think you must take your camera everywhere and I need to do the same. It’s how you get the best photos obviously! Sometimes on days with drama I hope you’ll post with your uplifting view on life. It’s so refreshing! I live in Greenville, SC.
i sure love your really long blog posts
The girls are SO cute and you look SO fab! I LOVE the way you love life. Even when it is hot.
~Texan living in Oklahoma
Thanks so much for offering such a cool giveaway! I am from Bham,AL, but drove across Alligator Alley on our honey moon, and that would be scary to drive across at night in a storm!
Hello Friend! Love from Maryland 🙂
Wonderful post! I love the long ones. 😀 I also love your adventuresome go-with-the-flow attitude when it comes to things like taking your baby on a girl’s night out and spontaneously spending the night in Miami with both of your lovelies. It’s inspiring to know that there are moms out there who don’t stop living the good life once their children are born. My husband and I aren’t planning on having kids for a few years, but I am learning so much about motherhood from reading your blog! You are actually making something that my 24 year old mind dreads look enjoyable. I only hope that you’ll still be posting things when I start to have children, because I can guarantee I will be using you and your blog as a “how to” reference!
-Benay, originally from Colorado
sounds like a great weekend! I’m from Halifax, Nova Scotia
Thank you for sharing Kelle!
Love as always reading your blog.
I am writing from Ft. Lauderdale so I understand the heat you are describing!!!!!
Sounds like a great weekend!
greetings from Dallas! Love your blog, your way with photos and words, and your family. Is Lainey trying to put a sleep mask on Nella? Sweet!
I love, love, love your blog!
-Des Moines, Iowa
I can’t wait to take my twins to the beaches and air of Florida when they are a little older.
For now – we will be content with the somewhat sandy beaches of Saint John, New Brunswick. Eastern Canada does not have all the warmth and heat, but we sure do have the love for your blog up here..
If it is the morning read, or the night time peaceful post baby sleeping read… I always love it!
ONCE AGAIN….Love this post!!!!
What a fabulous weekend you had, so fun!!!
Thanks for sharing!!

I’m a new reader and I’ve noticed I always try to read your blog in the morning so I have a little inspiration to get me through the day! Thanks!
Wow, I so wish I was in Miami too right now. It is cold and wet here in New Zealand. Looks like you had an amazing weekend. Love the little dresses too, your cousins wife is very talented.
That looks like so much fun! In regards to the awesome purple bicycle with no seat, it’s done by the owner when they lock it up to try to prevent the bike from being stolen (i.e. thief couldn’t ride it away). The same thing goes for taking off the front wheel when locking up your bike – but a seat is smaller and easier to carry! 🙂
I had to comment on this one. I love, love, love that you do not hire a babysitter and “escape” to another world. You are an inspiration to all mom’s who may not have the perfect situation but live life to the fullest. The fact that Lainey was able to choose her lip gloss (yes, all three) despite what the sales associates were thinking proves to me that your girls are blessed with a mom that will help them go forward with a real zest for life. Best to you always. Carole Land
Great post and great pics – never been to Miami (just Tampa and OrlandO – so it was cool to see.
Glad you could get away.

Lovely post Kelle. Gorgeous pictures!
I’m coming to you from Phoenix, AZ… where it’s a HOT 110 degrees outside today! YIKES!
Super fab post! Love it as much as I love each and every one of your posts! Natalie from Jesup, Ga.
I just love your friends! What a wonderful group of Women to be surrounded by!
And those dresses are ADORABLE! My almost 3 year old Emerson and her new baby sister Lydia (due in Oct) would just look amazing in something like those. I’m going to check out her etsy store!
Wow, what a fun weekend, I am super jealous. I was at home, alone with the baby girl, while the hubby is deployed… I could use a vacay to Miami right about now! 🙂 Love your blog, I’m in Palm Springs, California.

K, so I’ve been “stalking” (but not in a creepy way) your blog for a while, b/c I found it through a friend of a friend of a friend. I have a little 3 year old girl myself and just LOVE how you explain all the joy you have in your life. Your pictures are writing are pure perfection and bring such happiness to my little life in Allen, TX! Thank you for sharing your amazing talents! 🙂

One of my friends introduced me to your blog last week and I just love it. You are a wonderful writer and amazing photographer! Thanks for sharing! from Templeton, Ca.
Love your blog and your fab life! Would love to win .. from Southern Oregon!
What a beautiful entry…I absolutely love coming to read your blog. I make sure to check it every few days for new entries. Glad your weekend was so fun in Miami. I laughed at your picture of the bike with no seat…Where I live, people do that all the time so nobody will bother to steal the bike. They take the seat with them once they lock it up..Who wants to steal a bike, and ride away with no seat!!??? PS Your girls are absolutely beautful!!
I can relate on so many levels. I few years ago I traded my pink stilleto’s for some pink gum boots and moved a little bit east of my city…Vancouver, BC:) I love that i can pop in the car, drive for an hour and be right back to the ocean, the shoes, and the sushi! But I love coming home to my construction hubby, and delicious baby girl…I as well wouldn’t trade any of it!!! And, I am off to SATC2 this week and can’t wait:) You can take the girl out of the city, but you will never take the city out of the girl!
LOVE the shoes. I continue to read and you continue to inspire 🙂
I love that you brought your baby girl on your girls night out. I am also loving those apron dresses {my girls are 3 and 9 months} and am heading over to check out that etsy shop.
You have such an amazing way of documenting your lives in photos. It inspires me to be better and try to take better pics myself.
Oh, and I’m from Ellie-Town. 😉
Beautiful photos, Kelle! Wishing for the beach from Atlanta!
Wow, my husband and I were just talking on how we miss those rides we had when visiting miami (vacations)…I love the pictures you took, and Im so happy you had a blast!
Its getting dark/rainy again here i Dominican Republic…ugh…
By the way…I love your blog girl, you rock!!!!
Big hugs to you and your two princesess!
Amazing pictures- that view of the city is breathtaking! Despite the heat, I’d love to be there for a while instead of here in Indiana! I look forward to reading every post you write. Thank you for sharing!
This post makes me want to go swimming, go window shopping and bake cookies! BTW–I’m in CA.
Wow, in just one post you’ve opened my eyes to beautiful apron dresses, the ability to hang on to girls’ nights and the treasure of good friends. Love the blog, love the pics, love the small things.
Annapolis, MD- love, love, love your blog!
Your posts are so fun! We are hot here (New Mexico), but not sticky. 🙂 Hot is more bearable without the sticky!
My name is Meredith and I’m from Phoenix Arizona. I’m a mere 20 years old and I find joy, love, and inspiration from your blog. Keep rockin’ it 🙂
Haha, I JUST figured out that the most recent song, correlates with the top post- AWESOME! It really gives me the vibe of the post! Shauna- from Seattle, temporarily living in Los Angeles
The heels you wore for the movie were AMAZING! Love! Your posts always make me smile, your photography, your girls, the way you embrace life….thank you for sharing.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Much better than mine since my son burned his arm on the oven. I hope you get to go back to Miami again and have just as much fun……from Dallas, TX
Love your posts!
Looks like y’all had a wonderful time!! I’m in Austin, TX!
Your posts are definitely inspiring, and I’m jealous of your gorgeous Florida weather! We’re just hot and sticky here in Columbia MO (the little town in the center of the state that’s home to MIZZOU)
Kelle you never cease to amaze me. You find such joy in the things around you and make life great. I always read your posts and leave with a lifted spirit.
As always, inspiring! I live in Campbell River on Vancouver Island, BC and we are all waiting for some sunshine – our summer doesn’t feel as though it will ever arrive. Thanks for reminding what warm weather is like 🙂 You and your friends looked fabulous and your girls are beautiful!
Love your blog! What a sweet, sweet family you have!

So much to I want to say on this post but, for now, I shall just say loved it, love your attitude to life. Have a fantastic week! Sx
p.s We’ve had some hot weather here at last (although doubt it’ll ever reach Miami temperatures!) – took C to her first open-air paddling pool at weekend. She loved it!
p.p.s The friends at the cinema grop shot is fab – you are all so stunning!
Discovered your blog a few months back when my online photog teacher Jessica at 503 Photography posted a link to the birth of Nella. Since then I have enjoyed dropping in and reading your beautiful words and loving your pictures. Your words and attitude make my heart oh so happy.
My little family of soon to be 5 and I live in Annapolis, MD, my hubby is in the Air Force. Thanks for reminding me to enjoy the little things. I hope the sun is shining in your corner of the world.
Love your blog… following in Spring Hill, TN (just south of Nashville 🙂
I stumbled onto your blog last week and I’ve enjoyed your writing and pictures. The story of sun and heat are wonderful to hear. We recently moved from the midwest to Olympia, Washington and everyone was right that it rains ALL the time. So I think I soaked up a little vitamin D from your pictures! Thanks!

I LOVE the apron dresses. Miami and SATC look so much fun through your eyes. We had storms like that last week too! I’m from Atlanta…deep in the heart of the wonderful south!
Southern Cali is just as hot right now!!! UGH! thank God for AC!
I adore your blog, and your girls are so adorable. Who wouldn’t want your cozy family waffle-making, cookie-baking life?

What a fabulous weekend!! I’m from AZ and with temps creeping towards 110 this weekend I can understand the expletives!! 🙂
Beautiful babies! – From Spotsylvania, VA
Eeek, spotted typos in my comment -serves me right for not checking comment before I hit publish. There is an erroneous ‘to’ in there and obviously ‘grop’ should be ‘group’. Apologies – had to correct otherwise errors would haunt me for a thousand comments!
commenting from milwaukee, wi! I feel inspired to take a trip to sunny Miami after that post! 🙂
You have officially inspired me to come home! I was born in Florida and lived in Deerfield Beach until the age of 8 when my family moved to Vancouver BC (still here.) I have travelled the world but have never been back to Florida. I think a trip with my little dudes is in order!
your blog is delightful, your photographs beautiful, your story inspiring…i heart it here 🙂

Oh, Poppa! What a beautiful message. I lost my mother to ovarian cancer in 2004. She gave it a good fight and in her last five years, she danced. Boy…did she dance.
Good for you! Survivors know how to celebrate life and enjoy the small things.

Lots of times, I avoid giveaways. But, oh so pretty things from BK. And every mama needs pretty things.
I’m from MN. Often times refered to as the Frozen Tundra. But now it’s down right gorgeous!
So glad you had a fun adventure weekend… simply gorgeous all around! Loving this post… but Poppa your story made me cry such fat happy tears. Please please please start your own blog!
Big love from *finally* sunny Northern CA!
Kate
I love reading your blog, you know how to make this mama smile. Thanks for sharing with all of us. Oh by the way I sitting here in Colorado springs,Co.
I love your blog, your little girls are just beautiful and you have great friends. I wish I lived close to you so I could hang out on your girl night outs, so much fun. I’m in Southern California!
We were vacationing in Tampa this week. What a beautiful part of the US. I can’t believe the thunder/lightening storm we experienced! I don’t know how you can stand that humidity though 🙂
Love your blog! I actually hoped we’d run into you along the beaches…silly I know, but a girl can hope…
(Originally from CO!)
You know, I really applaud you for getting out with your babies. I love to live life WITH my kids! 🙂 I started reading your blog when I happened across it and read about Nella’s birth. I cried through it. I have a nephew with downs syndrome and so I also recommended it to my SIL. 🙂 I live now in WI with my hubby and 3 kids (Story is 4 1/2, Susanna who reminds me a lot of your little Laney, is 2 1/2, and Noble is 11 months). I used to blog more at http://www.xanga.com/julia_anne
It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend!
I am from a tiny town nestled in the mountains of Northwest Georgia. We have a population of about 1500 people, and only one stoplight within the city limits 🙂 But we are only about 30 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee – home of the Riverbend Music Festival, the Tennessee Aquarium, and more boutiques and cafes than you could ever imagine in such a “small” town!
You are an inspiration, Kelle! I hope that when I’m a momma someday soon, I’m as energetic as you are!
Mary, from Minneapolis
PS-I think that the purple bike was missing the seat because the owner takes it off when they lock it up… that makes it much less appealing to bike thieves!
I love your posts they make me smile haha Im from Texas:)

Kelle, I’ve got to tell you I’ve viewed life a little differently since first reading your blog in a few months ago. I always thought I was an optimistic person, but I now find myself picking out the small, but oh-so-delicious, parts of life on a daily basis. It’s all in the way we chose to view things, isn’t it?!
Great post…sounds like you had a full and fun weekend. Enjoy your week!
Katie from Northern Indiana
Just stumbled upon your blog and I LOVE it! and what are the chances it was on a giveaway day:) it was fate. but im rambling.. Im Tiana from a little California town called Manteca. Not anything special but it’s home:)
We haven’t gotten that treacherous heat here yet, but I can feel it coming. Each day is warming up as we head closer to the official day of summer. I’ve got one more school day to endure, then graduation close behind, and then SUMMER, BABY!
Honestly, my excitement for summer has been fueled a significant amount by reading your blog. I haven’t appreciated the time summer gives us, or the moments we can live in the hot humid air. But this is my summer to do what I want, and I’m going to conquer the list I’m making with an iron fist!
I’m glad you girls had a great time in Miami. It’s great to experience new things with friends, I’m sure you all had a lovely time strutting around the sidewalks of Miami no matter how hot you all must have been! I can assure you, looking at the pictures, you all looked lovely despite.
I come from Pennsylvania. I’ve started to honestly love where I live, more in the country but not that far away from the city, because it gives me so much more opportunities to just enjoy what life is giving us.
Thanks so much for inspiring me to live my life every day to the fullest.
Love Sex and the City2, love Miami, LOVE Sephora, love the song that’s playing right now, love Nella’s smile, love Lainey’s eyes, LOVE this blog. Thank you for making my day…again!
I love the fact that you are friends with your delivery nurse!! How cool is that? I loved you friend’s red dress by the way! -From Stafford, VA
I love your blog and look forward to every post. I too, would love that CARDINAL RING being born in St.Louis! I am now in Flowery Branch, GA and don’t usually enter “Giveaways” but thought what the heck? Enjoy your babies while I go enjoy mine.

What a beautiful blog to read today. You and your family are inspiration for myself. Thank you for sharing your journey as embark on mine. Coming from London Ontario, Canada
I really enjoy reading about your beautiful family. It’s comforting to know that you can be a amazing mom and still have time to be yourself outside of that role. Your girlies are adorable! I love the matching dresses.
And I am from Pennsylvania… middle of nowhere to be exact!
I am so completely in love with your blog!! A co-worker sent me a link to your blog back when you had Nella. What a beautiful, fun weekend! How was the movie? I am dying to see it! I live in a small town in Northern California, between Sacramento and San Francisco. Not on the beach, but only an hour’s drive from it.
So great to get dolled up to go out with the girls! LOVE your shoes. I live near sunny Sacramento, CA so I know it’s no fun for anyone to nurse in the heat!
I’m trying to think of something witty & awesome to say but I got nothin’. I really just want to win the GC!

Beautiful pictures! We are having some rain right now over here in Portland, Oregon….but without the rain we wouldn’t have our green trees….I do love the rain – but the sun can feel free to come out anytime!! 😉

I love your blog and I can’t even tell you the amount of times that I’ve sat her almost crying (okay I admit there have been times when I actually did cry but ssshhh)–You have a very beautiful family and your love is so evident with every single thing you write and every picture you post on your blog. What a wonderful world you live in.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved your new header….What a perfect picture of you and your babes!
Loving your blog from Charlottetown, PEI!
What a fun weekend you had!!! I thought of you this weekend as I took my first offical mommy weekend (my son is 14 and daughter 6) – I went to the Beach (Ocean Shores, Wa) – it was so beautiful and there was a kite expo…I saw the cutes little yummy girl with pink painted toes. She was shopping with her mommy and dropped her purse….3 mac lipgloss containers rolled to my toes…..I thought of Miss L right away 🙂
Your blog is beautiful and I love your photos so very much. You have a beautiful family.
Not to mention you look AMAZING after 2 children! Seriously.. I can only hope my body some how goes back to “normal” after this baby boy of mine! 🙂
I’m from St. Louis, Missouri ps*

Hi from Los Angeles! Your blog just makes my heart happy. I love it.
Kelle, your posts make me crave the day when I will be a mama 🙂 I only hope that I will have the foresight to document everything like you do – Lainey and Nella will love reading all this when they are older!
By the way – everytime Nella’s face scrolls up on my screen, my hubby looks over and comments on her expressions 🙂 she and Lainey are so sweet…
much love from Honolulu!
Hi! I just graduated from college – I am from Kansas -my friends and I love your blog and we don’t even have kids! <3
Kelle, you inspire me! To be a better mom and most importantly, to CHILL. I have a tendency to be far too controlling because, well, I want to be the best at everything. And by reading your blog and your “sucking the marrow out of life” stories, I stop and remind myself… SUCK THE MARROW OUT CARRIE! THIS IS GOING TO PASS SO QUICKLY YOU’LL WISH YOU DID!
Thank you for that! Thank you a hundred times over! And keep on rockin!!!!

I’ve got a boy and two girls and would die to get those dresses!!!! Living happily in L.A!

Beautiful dresses! (from Houston, Texas)
Love you blog! What a cool weekend all the girls had.
Hugs from Mountain View, CA.
A lover of Sephoria myself, I never thought of what a candyland it would be for a little girl – especially Lainey! Your angel has a small addiction to lip gloss that cracks me up – once seen from your rearview mirror and now from the samplers. LOL. Love it.
I found a pattern on Etsy a few weeks ago for Apron dresses and even an apron top for girls. Holy Mosses, I’m making one of those and an apron halter top too. But you are so lucky to come home to such a wonderful surprise.
Just a shout-out to you to thank you for inspiring me to dive head-first into digital scrapbooking via Photoshop Elements – God help me! I’ve been putting it off long enough, and now I’m focused.
Have a wonderful week, and I’m glad that you got to mesh little girls and a big city this weekend.
-Jennifer (Tallcurlygirly))
Your posts are always so amazing and so uplifting. Thank you for sharing your wonderful life with everyone. Your girls are so precious and adorable.
Loved the Miami pics! From Wisconsin here and love viewing all your beautiful beach pics, although jealous on this end 🙂
Hi Kelle! Thank you for your sharing & inspiration. I read your posts while I nurse my 5 month old baby boy here in New Jersey. Bought my first SLR camera…..just getting started on this new road. Right her in Naples, Fl…not as glamorous as weekend as yours, but there is something to be said for watching your boy play baseball in Pt. Charlotte and having lunch with your girl at Sweet Tomatoes on a Sunday am-it is ALL GOOD 🙂
Me! Me! I would like a freebie giveaway por favor!! =D I’m from the boring (but still beautiful) state of Arkansas! And I lurve your blog!
God bless XOXO
great post! hope you enjoyed SATC. as for the bike, said owner of bike probably removes the seat to make it less appealing to a would-be thief. when i was in college, lots would do this.
Hi Kelle- I came across your blog through Wylie and Heidi’s blogs. The three of us went to college together. I became a Momma for the first time 7 months ago. I’m inspired by your photography and it’s helped me take more pictures of my little peanut. And I thank you!
you and your girls are so beautiful! You make youre blog so fun and i love reading it!

I lov eyor blog so much thankyou for taking the time for writing it.
I always love your blog. I love the photos and the stories. I think you help us look for the little things and enjoy them more than we might if we weren’t reminded.
Oh, and about the bike? Well, I didn’t read all 400 some posts, but most of the time that’s because the person took their seat with them so it wouldn’t get stolen.
And I’m from Wisconsin! Not so warm and beachy here…
Another wonderful fun post! Thank you for sharing all of the joy you are finding in your new life! Lots of love from Kentucky!
I haven’t posted a comment for a while. But, have been reading regularly. I LOVE your blog and your beautiful pictures and GIRLS too of course! I love your hair like that with your bangs pulled back too. 🙂
Looks like you had a fun time……I love reading about all your adventures..love the apron dresses…..love the chance to maybe even win something fun…..I’m writing from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia…..do you know where that is???
Miami will always hold a special place in my heart. My husband and I were engaged in there (on Miami beach, to be exact, back in 2004. It was a Spring break trip (I’m a teacher) and he totally caught me off guard. It was amazing. – Lo and behold, we won this incredible couple’s makeover the Summer following our wedding at a Club Med resort in Port St-Lucie. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary on the beach in Miami. It was perfection.
Looked like you had a fab weekend.
I’m from Kitchener, Ontario (1 hour west of Toronto).
Cheers!
I loved everything about your weekend…everything! 😀 Of course I love all of your posts.. hehehe.
I know all about the heat, I am in AZ. 112 or so this weekend. Ick. Ya ya..dry heat..pft….lol.
Saturday night was my first night away from my baby girl since she was born! Went to see SATC with my best girls…though we didn’t look quite as fab as you and your girls! Sounds like you had a great weekend! Loving your blog from Brooklin, Ontario!!
Ohh Belkai Designs has such pretty things!
And great post as usual, Kelle!
So fabulous! I spent my whole day yesterday getting ready for my baby that is coming in 6.5 weeks which was hard work but equally fabulous. Gotta love that nesting. Sweltering with you from California.
Gotta have my Nella Fix everyday:) I love that baby girl. She melts me!
Tina—Indiana
Can’t beat the colors of Miami….glad yall had fun! And man, how bout that condo…lovin the pool view. And I’m from Florida…but loving life in Costa Rica. 😛
Love the blog! A friend stumbled upon it and directed me to it.
Love,
Emily in Atlanta!
You make it all look so EASY! The motherhood thing that is – I’m lucky if I get a clean pair of pants on, let alone a nice outfit and makeup and forget me trying to take pics of my 4 month old with a 2 year old in tow…that NEVER happens for me *sigh* I’m from the New England area, BTW…
Thanks for the look in on Miami, have always wanted to go there, and we will someday! It looks amazing, glad you had a fabulous time with your girls, awesome to see and read about!
love those adorable apron dresses!
I’m from Nashville 🙂
Jamie
Love the Miama pics! Being from Montana I’ve always found your pictures such an escape from the sometimes less than desirable weather we have 1/2 the year!
We are attending a wedding in Arizona in July and I am soooo stressed about what to wear in the heat. Your pics gave me some inspiration . . .Thank you!
Lastly the matching dresses are priceless! Love seeing coordinated siblings! (I’m still obsessed with doing it and mine are 9 & 13!)
Thanks again!
Alison
I don’t know how you do it! Lugging a baby in a sling, a toddler in a stroller, a diaper bag, and your fabulously gynormous 50D through the streets of Miami! You are wonderful, real, beautiful!
SoCal!! 🙂
from Austin, Texas (i can totally empathize with the sweaty-to-the-point-of-being-uncrossable legs)!
loved this post, as always.
You and your girlfriends all have the longest legs…like runway models! I love that you wear your baby even when you are all dressed up and going out with the girls. I love Miami!!! I love that Lainey was so excited about lip gloss! I love those aprons and I LOVE this BLOG! Thanks for bringing some sunshine to all of us, no matter where we live.
I’m in Lexington, Kentucky, which is actually a great place to live. I love it here, except for the humidity, which I’m sure you understand.
Great giveaway! Yay!
Kelle I love your blog! Its so inspirational!
it sounded like you had a wonderful weekend!
I hope this week would be just as nice!
Hugs from Norway: -)
Hello from Oregon . . . and thanks for sharing all your adventures 🙂
Great post, as usual, Miami looks awesome! I feel you about the hot weather though. We are in Lafayette Louisiana and it is hot as hades over here, not to mention the humidity! LOL
You wouldn’t believe how much I LOVE your blog. I drink every detail of every word in and love that you share EVERYTHING…….from a suburb of Chicago…
tracicolquhoun@sbcglobal.net
The bike w/no seat…people take the seat off when they lock up their bike, because it’s easy to do and portable, and then no one steals the bike (because, as you say, uncomfortable!)
Glad you got to mix your momminess with your sexiness! It’s always fun when you can blend the two 🙂

Hi from Greenwood, SC! I love your blog!!! You’re girls are so adorable! I love looking at all of your pictures. You inspire me to live life to the fullest! (and to learn more about photography)
Quick question…what stroller do you have?
Kelle – those knot dresses are precious!!!!!
Noticed you have a Bugaboo, so you love good baby gear like me. If you’re on the search for a double, I bought a Bumbleride Twin and it’s FAB. My 2 and just turned 4 year old still use it…….sturdy and cute!
Love this fun blog! I live in an itty bitty town in GA… Trenton to be exact. I’m a mother of one and soon to be two and love to capture that youthful feeling every once in awhile too. But mothering always wins hands down 🙂
I adore those dresses and your blog as well. Whenever I need a pick-me-up or a good cry, I come and read and feel so much better.
~Amy, St.Paul, MN
I read your blog religiously. Love it. Can’t get enough of it.
I have only been to Florida once… and it wasn’t to the beautiful Miami unfortunately. It looks like such an awesome place. The lights at night are GORGEOUS. Made me wish I was there!
I’m from Arkansas, btw. 🙂

Hi Kelle! I hail from sunny, muggy, Manila 🙂 Been reading your blog since of course your Nella’s birth post. You are such an amazing inspiration 🙂 I don’t have kids yet, but I would love to be a mom as candid, as full of grace, and as REAL as you are. Thank you for sharing your joy and your sorrow.
I just took a look at Belkai Designs and wow but that’s some amazing jewelry! 🙂 Thank you for the chance to win! 🙂
You have such a way with words, Kelle, and your posts inspire me in so many ways. I, too, have a little almond joy and live in the Sunshine State. Life is good! 🙂

Just wanted to say Hi! from Knoxville, Tn.
I just love your posts. I love that you and your girlfriends dressed up so nice to go see SaTC2!
Those pool pictures inspired me to pick up my snuggly baby girl and smell her sunscreen scented body, she is giggling in my lap as I type.
PS. I’m from humid Delaware!
we’re (practically) neighbors! showin’ love from venice, fl!!!
Thought I would leave my very first comment after you made me laugh out loud! I can totally relate to strangers just having a knack for approaching you while nursing:-) I love your blog, you have such a beautiful way with words. Thank you for sharing!

Love your perspectives, your colors, your experiences. Wonderful pics. No offense to Sephora, but screw ’em….littles are only little once and need to have fun!
God Bless you and your family.
Love reading your blog!
I rarely comment, but wanted to say I love your posts. You make me feel like I am right there with you. My son Jack has Ds and is the brightest light of my life. He will be 2 in October. You have a fabulous fun road ahead. Oh and we live in Chicago.

Wonderful blog. It makes me want to leave Maine and head to Miami. The colors and culture are amazing. I will always look forward to reading your blog.
Great Post! I am from Southampton,NY
Love the pics in this post as usual. Grew up in FL, now live in Ga. I love your blog…my youngest daughter is 1 and has DS too, Nella’s eyes remind me of Emily’s when she was younger, I love them!
always love your blog. I get the heat. 110 here in Scottsdale, AZ this weekend. Love love love your blog.
I think Miami just made my bucket list! I’ve been to Florida once (West Palm Beach), for our honeymoon five years ago, but I would love to go back!
We took my 1 year old to the Indy 500 last weekend, and to a party after graduation at my husband’s high school on Friday. Picked up the sleeping babe from his Nana’s and off we went!
Sometimes, you just have to do it. And you know what? We all survived just fine on Saturday after having him up at 11:00. Even got to sleep in a little. 🙂
PS. We’re in Cleveland, but born and raised a SoCal girl!
I love this post-and this giveaway! I live on a battlefield in Gettysburg, PA, and LOVE it. Although Florida doesn’t look so bad either 🙂
I NEVER let my girls try the make up in the store…I have a new goal for my next trip to the mall. They’re going to love you for putting that idea in my head. I’m from northeast Ohio, btw. Oh…and after you suggested Lightroom to me in one of my comments a few months back, I tried the free trial and fell in love. Now I’m penny-pinching til I can buy my own. Thanks Kelle!
Goodness, honey! When do you find time to SLEEP!? It sounds like you had a lovely time, though… and I’m gonna take a shot at the bike with no seat (not sure if another commenter did – unlike you, i don’t have the fortitude to wade through 400+ comments, haha); the bike is chained to prevent it being stolen, but as extra insurance, the bike’s owner took the seat with them. It’s much harder to steal a bike with no seat.
Loved this one! We are heading down to FL for our vacation later this week… hoping to hit the beaches before the oil does. I always love the shops you recommend on etsy – hoping to win a gift certificate this time around… I am from a small town an hour outside of St. Louis, MO.
FUN FUN FUN! I’m headed to SATC2 later this week and I CAN’T WAIT! We’re in Lancaster, PA – very different from Naples for sure, but it’s beautiful how similar life is day to day as a mama no matter where you live:)
I yearn for the day when I relocate to Miami 😀 I’m studying Nursing in the Dominican Republic, and I’m going to re-validate my degree to be an RN in Florida, God willing.
I have a US address, btw 🙂
As always a beatiful post. Thanks for shearing your life with all of us.
Amanda from Davie , Fl.
What a weekend! I love the pictures, they scream I LOVE MY LIFE.
I’m Erin… From Michigan my whole life. My husband talks about living in Florida like it was heaven on earth. Honestly, I am more of a west coast girl… Love the pics!!
sweet_sparrow78(AT)yahoo(DOT)com
Your pictures always make me feel like I’m there!! I look forward to reading each post!!
Nella has just the most absolutely gorgeous smiles…. it melts my heart every time I see a photo of her smiling! Wow- it is warm there…. so cold and wintry here today where I live in the southern hemisphere. So many of your photos were filled with rampant colour that just shouted ‘summer’!
LOVE your blog! sounds like you had a fun weekend~~
thanks for the giveaway!

Hi Kelle,
I came across your blog about a month ago and have been anxiously checking for updates almost daily. I love your photographs and embrace your positivity. It doesn’t hurt that you have a beautiful family as well! (By the way, I’m from New Jersey!)
Becky
Kelle, your trip to Miami looked like so much fun! The girls are adorable as always, especially those dresses!! 🙂 I’m from Oak Forest, Il- about 20 minutes from Chicago, and we went through our share of monsoons too!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend, god bless you and your family!
ps. absolutely LOVE your black leather heels! i just bought a similar pair as well last week!
I have been an avid reader of your blog for a couple of months, but this is my first comment. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. I read your blog, then scroll through comments to find Poppa. Both are always filled with life and love, and who doesn’t need that a few times a week?
I came to your blog after a friend sent me a link to the post about Lainey’s 3rd birthday party. My son just turned 3 too and your party put his to shame, but I really loved your photography and writing so I spent the next several hours reading other posts on your blog, and then The Birth of Nella which had me bawling my eyes out at 2 am and sending your blog link out to every mom I know.
Anyway, I live in Seattle and we had 8 straight days of rain and mid-50s last week, so your Florida post whisks me away to a fairytale land. You are a fabulous Mommy, Woman, Writer, Photographer and I am a true fan of your blog now. Just wanted you to know. From all the way across the continent. xoxo.
~Jacqui
Wow! I love to see the world through your pictures! Living a semi-city life in Harrisburg, PA.
That’s what good girl friends are all about, dressing up, going to a ridiculous and all the while fun movie, & still passing a beautiful little bambino around. Loved this!
–Nicole from California
I find your life fascinating, fun and fantastic! The journey you have undertaken with Nella has inspired me. My friend found out 3 weeks ago that she is expecting a girl who has very severe DS.
I live in South Dakota, so your Florida sunshine makes me want to move! 🙂
I’m 27 weeks pregnant with my second baby and I hope I look half as fabulous as you after I have Baby Boy #2. I also pray that I figure out how to merge the two lifestyles as you have. You are definitely an inspiration! 🙂
I love that you embrace life so fully even with your two girls in tow! – Amy from Wisconsin (originally a Michigan girl)

I, too, split my fantasies between the sweet city life and the stay at home mom life… and it’s still yet to be decided. As always, I love reading your blog and admiring your beautiful photographs 🙂
Mrs. Fitz from British Columbia, Canada
Can I say I love looking at pictures that have palm trees hiding in the background. Reminds me of going on vacation…..we don’t get to enjoy the palm trees here in Minnesota. Great post and I love reading your blog. Your girls are just the cutest!
^^^ that should have read “bangs pulled back”….it has been a long day!
Sounds like a great weekend 🙂
Thank you for sharing your beautiful life with us! That view is amazing!!! LOVE those dresses. Too cute!
Angie (San Diego, CA)
I wish I could take pictures like you!!!! 🙂 I Love your blog! 🙂 From little ole’ Union City, TN! 🙂
I miss visiting Miami but I do not care for the heat which is why I’m staying put here in Vermont. 😉
Your blog just makes me happy!
You are absolutely wonderful.

Gorgeous!! Makes me want to hop on a plane and get in that heat!
Such an inspiring post, as always! Now I need a trip to Miami. It was nice to take the trip through your eyes though…from Alexandria, VA.

You make me want to take a trip to Miami! :o) and I love you with your bangs pulled back. You can really see that you and Lainey have the same eyes in these pictures. I love the apron dresses on the girls too, makes me want a little girl so I can dress her up all pretty LOL I’m happy you had a fabulous weekend – Zachary and I tried to go to my girlfriend’s baby shower on Saturday evening, but i think it was too hectic (65+ people all wanting to love on little z) and it overwhelmed him, so we were only able to stay a couple of hours. But we did enjoy the time we were there, I love for him to get lovin’ from my friends and my friends parents and pretty much everyone that meets him… he’s my love bug :o)
Sounds like a fabulous time!
Tara in Virginia 🙂
kells bells, we looked hot that night!!! ha. kidding. not really:)
katie’s view is unreal. unreal! these pictures took my breath away. nella in the stroller with those beautiful eyes of hers and your legs that don’t stop!

Looks like a fun trip! You have a beautiful family. I can understand the heat, I am from Dallas and it was 104 here today..ugh!
I just LOVE your blog Kelle!!! I came across it a few months ago through a friend on Facebook and have come back almost every day since. And if I miss a day, I make sure to scroll down and read anything I may have missed 🙂 And since I missed a couple years, I went ahead and read all the past posts too – glued to the computer for days. You are so creative and fun and cute. I am not a mom yet, but you make me want it that much more. And you inspired me to get a camera and get creative. I bought the Canon Rebel xsi a month or so ago and am totally obsessed. I’m not the best photographer yet, but am totally loving what the camera and I can do without any formal training 😉 You are so inspiring and beautiful inside and out – I LOVE it!!! Your family and friends are VERY lucky to have you 🙂
Love from sunny southern CA,
Stacy
Your blog makes me smile everytime I read it. I love your photographs and I love seeing your family have so much fun. Your blog is really inspiring and I look forward to your new posts! Keep it up – I can’t wait to read and see more!

Reading your blog and lovin’ it all from MI!
oh yeah, and I live in Cumming, GA (30 minutes north of Atlanta) so I get the best of both worlds too. :o)
What a fun post! I love your always positive attitude! I’m from KS!
I love that you took Nella to the movie! You really can live in both worlds from time to time but i think we often forget that 🙂
Wow, I was going to comment even before I saw the giveaway…firstly, when can I join you?? I live a measly 2-3 hrs north of you in Tampa and we’re always in hot pursuit of fun days strolling in and out of shops with babies in tow or a pool to dip in. I went to Miami summer 2008 and was IN love with it. How is FL so different coast to coast, top to bottom?? This also coming from a fellow northerner (minnesotan)!!
Love your blog and the joy you find in life…thanks for encouraging me to search for it too!

What a wonderful weekend! I love all the pictures and I LOVE the dresses!
Love reading your blog up here in Michigan! 🙂
We love reading your blog here in Virginia Beach, VA!
Love your blog – so happy I came across it. My little Elle is just a few weeks younger than Nella!
Love you blog! I’m from Franklin, TN. Such a fun give away!
I wish I could tell you, without sounding like a gigantic sap, how much I love reading your blog. You are an ambassador of how to blend cool and mommy and I can’t help but want to emulate every bit of it. And I’ve started to do just that, here in Indianapolis, by following your advice, and “Enjoying the Small Things.” Thanks for making my day, yet again!
I must have a movie night like that! How fun!! Always love reading about you and your beautiful family!
Love from St. Louis, MO!!!
looks like a perfect weekend! did you like the movie? i did!
🙂
Lovely photos.

Ontario, Canada – I love your blog!! Thanks for sharing your life with us 🙂
I love this post! You inspire me to get out of the house with my 3 crazy little boys & do fun stuff like dress up, wear heels & go to the theater with friends. How fun! I also adore the apron dresses. If only I had a girl to dress. 🙂
Heather from Albany (a.k.a. middle of nowhere) GA.
Austin! Nice weekend!
Saw STC last weekend.
… O M G … !
Your post is great. I think I’d melt in the Miami heat, I live in California but I should live on an iceberg =)

I had my own day of fabulousness here in Atlanta on Saturday. Went for a mani AND pedi and then off to the salon for a fabulous new do, all while hubby managed lunch and park time for my little guy. Felt like a single gal again (except for the 9 month prego belly)!
I enjoyed reading about your fun-filled weekend. I think it’s great that you and your two beautiful girls get to spend a lot of quality mommy and daughter time. I just love your view on life and all of your positive energy. If only more people in the world were like you…from: Adrian, Michigan
My alternate life choice is also city girl with an apartment like Katie’s…LOVE her pool. I also love your girls matching dresses 🙂
Amber from Wisconsin
Looks like so much fun. I recently went to see SATC2 with a big group of girls as well, although I left the baby at home. She’s not a good sleeper in public 🙂
So glad you had a great weekend ‘sucking the marrow out of life’. I’m 30 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and our life ‘sucking’ included long naps and dips in the pool, living in South GA there is no other choice.
I love the matching dresses! Your babies are so adorable.
Michelle,in Cleveland
It looks like you had a wonderful weekend!! So happy for you. I love the new apron dresses – I will have to check out your cousin’s shop! I heart Etsy.
Those dresses? Are to die for. I have my own brood of little girls (6, 5, and 12 weeks) and apron dresses and twirl skirts from WAHMs are my absolute weakness. Your post made me miss Miami like crazy–I’m all the way up in Kissimmee and we haven’t been down that way since late 2005!
always fun to read your post…and this one is another great one! And I’m commenting from Glen Allen, Virginia! and it’s hot!!
i am pretty sure i wont get this giveaway but hey… i might as well try, right?
i love your blog.
i am mom of 2 as well and we live in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Thank you for sharing your exciting weekend with us! I haven’t seen “Sex in the City” yet, and probably won’t until it’s out on video 🙂 But I am looking forward to it! The last movie I actually saw (at a theatre)was over 3 years ago when my husband and I had our last date before child #2.
And Miami wasn’t the only place who saw those horrific storm clouds. Here in Ontario, Canada we have had our share of rain over the last week or so.
Heather xo
p.s. I love the apron dresses on your girls!!
what a weekend! You lead an amazing life and I love reading about it. Love the shots of you with Nella in the sling and those dresses they have on! Could my seven year old wear one?
Yes, it’s gonna be a hot one…we spent the weekend at the pool and the evenings in drenching downpours…I let them play in it tonight and thought of you! They had a blast.
What fun!! This makes me really, really want that dang peach MAC lipstick from the beach line. Thanks for fueling the addiction.
Oh, and I’m FROM Louisiana. But I LIVE in Michigan.
Love the pictures! yout daughters are soo cute!!!
commenting from Asheville, NC 🙂 Love your posts and the pictures from Miami are lovely! I’ve started my own picture taking and blogging again 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration!
I was waiting for you to post sooo bad!!!

Hi! I’m from Toronto and I love your blog! I send it around to all my friends to read. Keep it up.. you are inspiring, encouraging and teaching through your example.
How do you manage to keep your make-up intact in such hot weather? Anyways, Miami looks awesome…it’s on my list!
postin’ from Long Beach, CA 🙂
Hi Kelle! I am from Washington state, currently living in College Station, TX. Loved the pictures this post, the Miami skyline, WOW!
That view is heavenly and your girls and you are gorgeous as usual. Love it! Glad you had a nice visit.
I live outside of Atlanta, GA and a friend showed me your blog. I used to teach a preschool class for children with special needs and every year a child with DS was in my class. They were my favorite always! I am now home to raise my own little boy. Your blog gives me such greater insight into the lives of the parents of the very kids I taught. i wish you the best on the journey ahead of you – what a blessed little girl to be born into your loving and beautiful family!
It’s always fun to get dressed up and escape the norm, if only for a little while! I’m so glad your weekend was full of fun events with your girls included!
– Sarah, a Georgia peach!
What a great time! I miss beach towns. After living in Hawaii for almost 5 years being in southern Alabama has me missing the beach. Its an hour and a half to the beach now.
love reading your blog! I’m in socal.
looks like fun! I’m in northern utah
I am so in love with that view from Katie’s window. Lucky you for getting a sleepover out of the deal!
what an incredible photo of the cloudy skyline! it looks like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was coming to town!
Lauren from Baltimore!
Miami looks beautiful but I am so glad I live in the North, I don’t deal well with heat. I’m from the Detroit area and Tuesday is my 29th birthday (that means I have to win, right?)!
Thanks as always for sharing!
I love reading about your motherhood and life adventures!
I am from Utah 🙂
Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all! As always, enjoyed the pictures and stories – can I live vicariously through you Kelle? 🙂
My heart smiles when I see Lainey and now Nella’s big grins. Your blog has great after effects…whenever I read a post, I want to rush up and hug and kiss my girls (like you…I LOVE having my GIRLS!! Two – sisters- friends forever!).
Thanks for making my heart smile all the way in Canada! 🙂 ~ Kathy
Love love love your blog and reading about your adventures with your beautiful girls! Reading the part about taking them into Sephora makes me anxious for my little one to get old enough to play with make-up! (she just turned one and is BARELY noticing makeup… she likes the blush the best, though 🙂
Thanks for the wonderful stories and beautiful pictures… as always, I’m looking forward to more!
I’m a mom to five. And your pics and words brought back warm, mushy memories of a recent, very infrequent, weekend getaway my husband and I got to spend in Miami earlier this year. Love the culture, food, and the sangria! And love your blog!
Karen from the Poconos
Reading from Huntsville, AL! 🙂
I love that you bring baby Nella everywhere, I wish I had done that with my babies when they were little. Well, I took them everywhere, we just didn’t go anywhere so exotic!!! My favorite shot of all has to be the one you took of the shop window with the American flag reflecting on the stroller, and two little feet peeking out from the sling. Incredible! And I am reading with envy from Ottawa, Canada.
look forward to your blog updates. your girls are beautiful and are so lucky to have such a fun mom! Tuscaloosa, Alabama!
So Jealous!! Western New York may be in its peak weather season, but it’s absolutely no Miami!
I love the new picture/set up of the blog! Your family is so gorgeous! I love reading your blog.
~Jessie from Virginia.
Love this post. Love this blog. I can relate to the polar opposites as I am a girl who once lived in Miami in her single days and now is a stay at home mom in San Diego, California.
Pictures of Nella smiling make my day!! 🙂
I am from Fort Myers, FL and have taken many trips across the ally for Miami weekends of beaching and shopping. So much fun!

Number two, I was reading you blog the other day and my 4 year old asked who the little girls in the pictures were, I tried to explain and said you were from florida… all she has ever heard about florida is that its where her great aunt goes on vacation, so now she thinks she is with you all 🙂
Ps, we are near Pittsburgh! Th closest “beach” for us is lake Erie 🙁
Oh my oh my… what fun it looks like you girls had! I am totally addicted to your blog and your photography is amazing! You inspire me every day 🙂 I am from Charlottesville, VA.

i just have to say that you must be hella cool to become life long friends with your labor nurse! 🙂 i mean, how does one even DO that????? although after reading this blog for a quite a while now, i’m not surprised that you did it. you seem like the type to attract friends like bees to honey and if i lived in naples i’d love to be one of those bees.
i love your blog, each and every post, because it is reminding me to enjoy the small things and i have a TON that i could easily overlook and have overlooked.
eternally grateful in pittsburgh

Hello from Milton, WA…Sure enjoy your blog!
When I saw a new post from you I saved it for after my kids were asleep so I could go out on the deck with my laptop and a drink and really enjoy your writing and beautiful pictures on a nice breezy night in Baltimore, Maryland. I’m glad I waited until I had a few uninterrupted minutes because this post deserved it! Its been hot here too but nothing near what it sounds like your hot sweaty day was like! I loved how you reffered to both Lainey and Nella as “the babies” a few times. I am always thinking of my almost 3 year old as not a baby anymore and I think I just expect way too much from him sometimes. They are still babies!
Thanks for always making me stop and appreciate every day 🙂
What an awesome weekend!!! Super jealous of your florida weather, we’ve been having some major rain up here in vancouver 🙂 what did nella think of the movie??!!!
Gorgeous photos and girls, as usual!
I’m in the east SF bay…and our beaches aren’t as warm as yours. 🙂

I can’t even remember how exactly I ran across your blog, but I check it daily to see if there are any new updates. Your photos, your family and your stories captivate me everytime!
Just got back into Ottawa after a weekend away… and of course I had to check in to see what you and your girls were up to this weekend! 🙂

I love reading about all the fun things you do with your girls – and how much you LOVE them!! It’s amazing.
I love love love your photos too. The one you took of Lainey’s friend in the pool from your last post with just her face sticking out of the water is awesome.

isn’t it so fun when you can blend two worlds that are just SO different? i love my mommy moments like that! and woman, how in the hell did you walk in those shoes with a baby in a sling??? LOL!!
(me, i’m from massachusetts 😉 a cozy little new england town that i grew up in….i am the definition of a townie!)
Kelle, what a blessing to have found you and an honour that you invite us into your precious life daily. My husband and I have been changed forever. On April 1st of this year with the birth of our third gorgeous daughter( well I can say that I AM her mother 😉 our family is now complete. Lauren-3.5 yrs, Hazel 2 adore their new little sister Carly. Carly was diagnosed with DS at birth. She is such a sweet little peanut of a girl and has been such a gift to our family. She has two holes in her heart (AVSD) and will need open heart surgery in 2-4 mo. She is doing fabulous though and thankfully is a wonderful nurser.
I appreciated your raw honesty and understand your overflowing joy and love for your girl and your family. isn’t it beautiful?
Thank you for sharing!!
I love reading your blog!

I discovered your blog about a month or two ago and instantly fell in love! You are a brilliant writer, a fabulous photographer and a beautiful mother!
LOVE how you and your girls went ALL out for SATC 2…you all looked gorgeous!!!
My baby girl won’t take a bottle either but, I’m not brave enough to take her to the movies with me:) Went to see SATC after she was asleep for the night.
Just moved to the Ft. Lauderdale area from Vegas, baby!
Greetings from Colorado! It makes me so happy to see people take their kids to new places and I love that you do that with your girls. I’m very much a person who stays safely in my comfort zone, so much so that when I had my son, it took me close to two months to feel okay with leaving the house alone with him, I had gotten so used to being at home. I’m trying hard to stretch my limits a bit more and seeing your adventure in Miami is great inspiration.
What a wonderful weekend! I also had a girls night out this weekend & saw Sex & the City. Such fun!
From Jacksonville, FL (but originally a South Fla girl!).
Lainey and her lipgloss – how fun. Looks like she’s taking after her mama. Great post. Thanks for sharing. We read about your life from the great state of Pennsylvania.

I just wanted to say (even though I am sure you have heard a million times already) I lvoe your blog. I love your pictures, your words… you have me in tears with almost every post. My daughter Kayla is close in age to Nella, so I love to see her pictures and see how she is growing. My son Marcus is also very close in age to Lainey, he just turned 3 on May 27th. I’m finding it such a fun and frustrating age. 🙂 I am posting all the way from Ottawa, Ontario Canada!
Your nights out look so fun! I love that Nella attended her first movie with you and the girls. I always enjoy your new posts!

What a great weekend! You are very lucky to have such a fabulous group of girlfriends that live close. I’m live in Orlando, and it has been amazingly hot here also. The only time I want to go outside is when I’m walking to the pool. Quick question, what kind of stroller do you have? I noticed it can lay back and has an attachment to be like a cradle, but also sit up. So cool. Also cool that a 3 year old can fit in it! Thanks for sharing your world with us!
Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments of your beautiful life with your beautiful girls. Hugs,
Sandy from Alabaster, AL
love keeping up with your blog. It is simply…beautiful and inspiring! Makes me want to be a better mommy everyday. Thanks for showing me the little things in life…
Tristyn from NY
Looks like a great time! I’m from New Jersey!
You are making me wish it was unbearably hot where I am but all in all I love my Seattle and wouldn’t change the beautiful rain for anything. It keeps my girls well watered so they grow like weeds, but maybe that happens even without the rain.

Oh, reading about heat, and sweating babies is torture for us here in the Willamette Valley, in Oregon. WE have had SO much rain…it’s gorgeous greens, but a little sunshine would be welcome here. Love the photos!

I love your blog it makes me so happy. You are making me wish it was unbearably hot where I am. I am missing the sun. But being born and raised in Seattle I am used to the rain for the most part and my reward will be a beautiful and perfect summer.

Oh, sweaty babies sounds good. We have had rain, and lots of it here in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. There is no place with greener greens, but oh a little sunshine would soothe the soul. Love your photos.

Sounds like a lovely time. Miami is much too hot for my taste…I can’t hack it.
We’re in Louisville, KY where the winters may as well be in the freaking Arctic and the summers make you melt into a puddle…but alas, it is home.
Love your blog girl…keep it up:).

I LOVE your blog. Your writing is to die for, your pictures are beautiful, and your little babies are so dang cute! ~ American Fork, Utah
I love reading your blog!! Your girls are just toooo cute!!
I am from Ohio by the way!!
A friend of mine told me about your blog and I am sure you are sick of hearing this, but…I cried and then I felt incredibly thankful and then I kinda kicked myself in the butt and told myself to find Joy in the everyday stay-at-home mom life I lead. This post reflects what I have been trying to do: take my mom life and somehow combine it with the other half myself. Not always easy to do, but so sweet when it happens. Oh – and I am writing from Red Deer Alberta!
I LOVE that Nella is checking out her hand so closely in the with the two of you by the little bistro. Too cute! And I think it’s too funny and cute that Lainey has good taste in makeup! 🙂
Wondering if we might be hotter in Colorado tomorrow than you are in Florida. We may get to 105°!
I love following your blog! You inspire me to be a better mama to my 3 littles! I live in Saratoga Springs, Utah….oh how I wish we lived in Florida!

So much fun that your little Nella got to join you in a “Girl’s Night Out”… Love the dresses that your cousin made. Just started tryong my hand at making the same type of dress for my little! Love how sweet your girls look in them :)My little looks pretty sweet in hers too. Love from Ohio!
What a great day you all had! It’s pretty hot up here in Philadelphia this weekend too… but I’m sure it’s not nearly as hot as it is there in FL!
Always enjoy your posts…never too shameful to post a comment to win something fabulous. 🙂

love the girls dresses…love hearing of the happenings in your life while listening to your music. Girls weekends are great fun expecially when the ‘babies’ and tag along. Greetings from Canada
What a fantastic girlie weekend with all the gorgeous girls in your life!
PS- I hear ya on the heat…it was 110 here in Vegas today. Bring it on summer…
I still can’t get over how freakin cute your header is. And, congrats for making 5000 followers, Kelle! Way to go!
Katie, never has being a nurse looked so good! Thanks for bringing the glamor back to a not-so-glamorous job!
And since I feel like it: I’m from Seattle, but livin in Harrisburg, PA. But, Miami is looking pretty fab.

I found your blog about 2 months ago and I check for new posts nearly every day. You are a fabulous writer and it is so much fun to read about your life. I’m a mom, teacher, licensed massage therapist, aspiring photographer, and someone who has also experienced my share of heartache in the baby department. I lost my twin girls to twin-twin transfusion syndrome at only 20 weeks gestation. I will never be the same… but I think I’m a better and wiser person because of my experience. God has blessed us with a beautiful little girl since then. We celebrated her 2nd birthday in February. I know our experiences and situations are completely different but I feel very connected to you through this blog because we are both mothers who are richly blessed in such an imperfect world. Thanks for opening your home to the world!
Oh, and I’m also from Florida! Beautiful North Florida 🙂
You make mommyhood look fabulous!Being a mom is fabulous but your dresses and heels make it much more so than my sweats and bare feet!
I have found the more I read your blog the more and more pictures I am taking! (I took pictures of my girl’s feet yesterday while she napped!) Thanks for the inspirations!
Lotta comments by the time I got to this! Can you tell people have been starved for their next Kelle fix since last Wed?? 🙂
My hubby is on a business trip in Miami as we speak. Everyone going to Miami! I am holding down the fort here with my 2 little girls.
BTW, you wanted to know where we are from. I’m in Atlanta, (born in Chicago) but lived in Ft. Laud/West Palm Beach up until 2005. I am an old friend of Heidi’s from back in the day.
GREAT,happy, exciting post!!! You are so blessed to live in Florida! I love it! But if you’re ever craving the city life again come on up to Philadelphia! That’s where I am! 🙂 Lots of great shopping, shows and dinner spots here! Got me thinkin…I think I need to call some girlfriends and make our girls night really happen! Glad to see you had such a great weekend!
And Kelle, you look FABULOUS girl in every post! You make me wanna go on a diet of rice cakes for the rest of my life! LOL! 😉
Love,
Tara
What a great weekend! Love all the pictures as usual 🙂
We are in upstate NY here, Albany county! 🙂

WOW, is all I can say, isn’t it awesome to have friends who don’t care if you bring your kids along?? the pic of your friend holding Nella at the movies (the one in the purple dress) looks like an ad for moms on the go!! and I LOVE the dresses for the girls, I am going to try and order some for my 3 divas soon. I live in Lexington, KY and I am inspired by you everyday to make my kids lives a little more joyful, which in turn makes my life perfect!! Thanks for putting things into perspective!
I kind of want to hate you, just because you are so gorgeous. But your sweet posts and your obvious love for your girls (and the fact that you used to be a teacher) make it impossible. 🙂 Do you ever look bad in a picture? Seriously.
I’m in Kansas. 🙂

I love these photos! I lived in Miami for awhile, but I dragged my husband back to Massachusetts where I grew up.
I need an apron dress for my 14 month old daughter Pearl, now. I am obsessed with them!
I’m from Farmerville, Louisiana (the north-central part of the state), and I was cast as Mrs. Darling in Peter Pan! I get to be a stay at home by day and glamorous community actress by night (ha)! Lucky me! I loved the pictures from your friend’s apartment.
I love you’re photo documenting. I wish I was organized enough to capture those little moments.
From Mary on Vancouver island, Canada.
you are so hot!
Kelle,
I began reading your blog a couple months ago and look forward to reading new posts. Your photographs are gorgeous! Today I celebrated the birthdays of two of my boys and tried to soak up and appreciate every moment. A forcasted stormy day transformed itself into a glorious sunny day and we were able to party outside! I think are are right, you need to enjoy the small things and I definitely did today.
LOVE the blog!!!- Kansas girl displaced to Utah for a few months
I love love love your blog. I follow you religiously. I’m a momma with 5 kids from Syracuse, Utah and I’m a hard core blogger like you. You are a ROCKSTAR.
awesome post! I’m from California (lived there 29 years) and moved to Washington State 8 months ago. Still not quite ready to say I’m “from” there though 🙂

Love my baby sling but I cannot believe you wore Nella in that heat! I am having a sweat attack just thinking about it!
Katy (in Kansas)

Oh Kelle! You are so blessed to have such wonderful friends! You all looked so fabulous on your night out. 🙂 I loveloveLOVE that Nella was part of it (and that everyone was so happy to be part of it).
Your adventure in Miami looked really fun but I felt sweaty while reading it. Goodness! Thanks so much for sharing your delightful adventures with us!
Lots of love from Costa Mesa, California!
Oh Kelle, another great post from a fun loving mom I wish lived in my neighbourhood! Your babies are amazing and I think my Olivia (2) and your Lainey would get along quite nicely in Sephora!
~ Heidi from BC, Canada
Love all your photos…but honestly, those apron dresses…oh, my they are adorable!! So cute!! I’m in Phoenix, AZ by the way…come visit!
Kelle, I found your blog through the blog of someone of someone of someone…you are gorgeous, your daughters are both stunning and I can’t get enough of your photography.
I’d love for you to come visit my blog, it’s small potatoes compared to yours but we all have to start somewhere right?
Love your blog, the photos are so much fun and the stories are all so sweet. I’m in Anaheim, CA.
you really are a rockstar – being a cool mama and strutting your stuff by day OR night! i love seeing nella smile and lainey really step into the role of big sister – it warms my heart 🙂 all the best to you and your family! oh, and i’m insanely jealous of your visit to miami 🙂
Loving the pictures today! Just so beautiful! Just some gorgeous shots! I am from Oregon by the way! Thanks for the give-away!
This comment is coming to you from Moscow…Moscow, Russia..not Moscow, Idaho. Oh, how you make me yearn for warm summer weather! All the pictures of you and your beautiful girls swimming is almost cruel.
I really enjoy reading your blog and it has become a part of my daily routine. The best to you!
What a beautiful weekend! Your girls are lucky to have such a fun and loving mommy.
love coming home to see if there is a new post..a little different than river life in idaho!

That is MY flag behind you and your girls on that walkway in Miami, the black, yellow, green, blue, white and red one! I’m South African, what a nice surprise to see our flag in your photo. 😀
I HEART Miami bigtime! My daughter had her very first ice cream sundae on Lincoln Road last March. A family vacation was not exactly how my husband and I envisioned our first trip to Miami Beach during spring break, but between that sundae, and watching her run laughing through a fountain at the Miami zoo in just her diaper made that trip better than anything we could have possibly experienced pre-babies!
Love it!
You need to take a trip to LA (where I’m from)! I need a photo shoot for me and my fam! I’m sure we can get you BOOKED UP! and how fun it would be.
Thank you for being my little escape every day!

Another fabulous post Kelle that keeps me glued to my computer everyday! I find that when I log in and there is no post, I am disappointed! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t know how you do it…I have three kids and am currently writing a YA novel and have the hardest time trying to find two minutes to sit down and write a paragraph. Anyway, to answer your question, I am originally from Maine, born and raised…most wonderful place on Earth, I lived in Minnesota for the last two years of my high school career and then moved to Ocala, Florida after a really bad car accident (had family there that rescued me and my daughter from the nursing home they put me in after I was released from the hospital). Now my family and I live in the glorious paradise of the White Mountains in Arizona.

Ohhh..I just *love* your shoes!! So glam!! What a fun post, Kelle!! The new Banner picture is just precious, too! Enjoying your blog from Northern California! 😉

Wonderful post with beautiful photos – as always!
You have such precious little girls!
Kelle, I come on here every day, checking for new posts, just because reading them, makes my day that little bit more beautiful! 🙂
I’m from Queensland in Australia, just outside Brisbane. A beautiful vibrant and cosy City – I hope you get the chance create a few more memories in it one day!
love the girls bathing suits. They are always adorable. I notice because my girlies (both the same ages as yours) love their swimsuits.

One of the fun things about reading blogs is getting to see other places in the country and experience other types of lives. Watching you with your young girlies reminds me of when mine were young. Seeing your adventures in Florida let’s me experience another part of our wonderful USofA! I am from California, born in San Francisco, lived in the bay area, the east bay and now in the central valley in the city of Merced. Thanks for sharing your Floridian life with this California girl!
Just discovered your blog…I quit my job to stay home with my kiddos who are now 12 and 14. I home school them through a charter here and love that I made that decision. You are a very gifted writer and photographer. I thank you for sharing real life feelings of motherhood and just “enjoying the small things”. I thought I read somewhere you were home schooled as well. I would love to hear about your experience…I often wonder what my kids will think when they are grown…they love it now. Maybe that is why you are able to express yourself in your writing. 🙂 Anyway…love from California.
Miami looks like too much fun, and your girls are adorable as always!
I’m from Washington . . . and I love how you cherish life – big and small.
Kelle, thank you for sharing so much of your life, in and out. Your attitude towards love and joy and people are contagious, and even when ones own life experiences make it challenging to follow suit, the motivation for sweet happiness is there and so one step is taken at a time.
Like many before me have said, I look forward to your posts so much, and also seek out your Poppa’s messages as a bonus!
Thank you both for this elixir of goodness!
Kelle~ Thank you for your blog posts! I have to admit my favorites are those that mix mommy hood with your alter ego city girl. I love, love, loved your post “Have it all” and forwarded it to all of my girlfriends that are mammas. You are such an inspiration to reminding women who we are, aside from our fabulous babes. I am a new mommy to a beautiful 13 month old little girl. My how she keeps me busy! I’m surprised sometimes that I find 15 minutes to check your blog posts- but I do, because they are so refreshing!
I love the way you express your thoughts and if you really do write a book I would love to read it! You are so honest. I cried as I read Nella’s birth story. The same thing happened to my aunt. After three healthy boys she longed for a girl. She finally got her girl but after delivery realized she had DS. It takes such strong, loving parents to raise a child with DS. I don’t know you personally, but from what I have read about you, Nella is blessed.
XOXO

Beautiful pictures of Miami! We were there last June (on our way to Key West) and it was wicked humid! Which makes it worse for me, the girl from the dry dessert – Tucson, Arizona.
You’re my fave blog, as always!
I love your dad’s comments! I seriously read through the comment section of your blogs looking to find whatever note he left. I agree with a pp… time for Poppa to start a blog of his own! Sign me up as a follower.
Looks like a fabulous weekend in Florida! Glad to say we had a fabulous weekend here in Arizona as well! Ü

Kelle, Nella is a trooper and already knows how to rock out with the ladies! 🙂
I can’t imagine the heat in Miami! I am from Pennsylvania, and we think the humidity is unbearable here! My husband lived in the Fort Lauderdale area for a year or so before we met. I am constantly asking him how anyone handles the heat and humidity. He tells me that you just have to get used to being sweaty all the time. He also describes Miami beach as a colorful place! Your pictures really bring it to life, and it’s great to see you can have fun there even with children. I can’t wait to visit Florida sometime soon! Thanks for sharing!
I love the new blog design! Each time I see a new post from your blog pop up in my blogger dashboard, my heart does a little happy dance. Your pictures are beautiful, and so are your girls.
I have been reading your blog for awhile now and I truly enjoy every post. I am 38, born, raised and living in Fredrikstad, Norway. I’m also pregnant with my second child. I just want to thank you for sharing your bautiful life on the blog.
Kristin
it’s been so cold here in California this season that your photos of hot summer days at the beach have been a wonder window into summer weather!
I can’t wait to see Sex and The City this week too.
-Lisa
I so, so look forward to your posts. You are VERY inspiring. And your girls? Well, they’re just adorable.
I’m from Los Angeles, CA…
Love love love when I turn on my computer, go to my bookmarks, and lo and behold, a new post from Kelle!! Yay! I was at SATC with my girls last night, while my littles were tucked up in bed by their daddy. I have to say, you make Nella look like the best accessory in all the world!
Love the shoes, and love the apron dresses….hope your cousins wife is ready for a deluge of orders, I think she’s in for a busy few weeks!
-x- Leah in Ireland.
looks like another fantastic adventure… seeing the sun was a nice treat as we’re still rainy and cold in seattle
Poppin’ in from Tokyo to say “Hi”! I love T-town, but I miss Florida so much! I love reading your blog and living back in FL vicariously thru you!
Looooved reading this post! I have been to Miami in 2007 with my sister for our summer vacation (we are from the Netherlands) and we loved it! Funny to see all your pictures, because we walked there too. So far away and still so familiar 🙂
Hi from West Hills, Ca.!!! I look forward to reading your posts! Thank you for sharing your days with us!
I am so Thankful that I found your blog. I haven’t been looking at life as a sunny journey for a while and you have definitely challenged me to have a second glance and not miss the way the light bounces off the smiling faces of my two boys.
I am forever indebted to you Kelle.
Emma (Brisbane, Australia)
I love the way you ‘suck the marrow’ out of life, and let everything flow together with being a Mumma. Miami looks amazing, and hot! I live in England, on the south coast by the sea, a place called Rye. Its gorgeous here, but probably a bit cooler than where you’re from! But life by the sea is so cool, I love that everyone else comes down here for holidays, but we’re always on holiday! Anyway, thanks again for the lovely posts, I so enjoy them. xxx
TOTALLY love that you took your babe on a girls night! I’m glad you were able to merge the two, like that 🙂 Also – Miami looks amazing!
Love your blog, love this post. I am Mikayla from Oregon…way over on the West coast 🙂
Great blog! You’re a really good photographer and and interesting blogger…
From Dubbo, Australia
I’ve been reading your blog for few weeks now. Whenever I feel a bit down, I go online and pick a random entry. And when there’s a new post, it’s even better.
I shamelessly admit I fuel my batteries with your blog, your energy, your attitude, your photos, your smile…and that awesome polkadot swimsuit 😉
Lots of love from Slovenia! And many, many juicy kisses and tight hugs to your little ones!
What an amazing weekend! I’m in Charleston, SC and Miami looks like it might need to be a vacation spot really soon!
love it! what a great weekend! . . . i am from florida as well just a good bit more north than you. have a great week!
Your blog is so beautiful and your girls–stunning!
I love all the colors, as things tend to be pretty gray here in Ukraine. But we’re moving back to NC next week!

Wow…post 826. I will make it quick as my 6 month old tests her new found screech next to me and my 3 year old hollers from his bedroom, “Momma, I’m in here!”. What a great way to start my day! Truly. And what an amazing, rejuvenating weekend for you. Gorgeous photos as always – you have inspired me to learn more about photography and more beautifully capture our daily life. Thank you. Much love for your pj clad Maine friends.
Fabulous pictures as always. I could just eat up those baby girls, they are so cute.

When I’m have a holy crap, I feel so big, am I gonna really have this baby moment, I like to come to your site. The smiling faces of your family give me hope that I’ll do okay.
I’m from Washington (that’s the state) and my husband is from Texas, but we currently live in Kuwait & will be having our international baby here in August.

I stumbled upon you blog a while ago. The very first post of yours I read was the one about your youngest daughter being born. It really made a great impression on me, and I have been following your blog ever since. I just want to say thank you for sharing! The things you talk about in your blog is just as important in Norway where I live as in Florida!
morning from the UK
fab post, wonderful times xxx
How sweet! Even thought me and you aren’t anything like super duper long time friends, I would’ve love to meet you and your girls during the weekend! I was out shooting, and was in Miami. So glad you had a wonderful time despite the crazy t-storms we’re getting and this nasty humidity! I think we’re in for a crazy summer and hurricane season – but I hope I’m wrong. If you’re ever up for it, and you’re back in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale, I’d love to meet you and be able to give air kisses to those beautiful girls that are such an inspiration! xo
How about a little debate about the SATC2 film? Miranda and Charlotte’s toast to the little women of the world on “how they do it without help”?; Carrie’s fear of the couch and being an “old married”?
This poster felt like directing ‘the girls’ to some of your Stream of Consciousness posts…
An idea from Cork, Ireland.
From Providence, RI… I check your blog every morning before I start my day because your posts remind me to look for the good in the face of stupid annoyances. It helps to start the day with a positive attitude…and some pics of super cute babies don’t hurt either 🙂 along with a momma that doesn’t let the busyness of life keep her from being completely fabulous.
That’s what you wear to go to the movies in Miami?!
You are a very lucky woman to be able to stay home with your girls. I wish I could! Enjoy!

I love your blog. I subscribe to author Don Miller’s blog – he posted a link to your post about Nella’s entry into the world and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’m working on learning to practice gratitude – at 4:58 am on Monday morning (west coast), I am so grateful for your heart, your blogs and your life. Be blessed!

So i forgot to comment last week about how adorable the new banner is.
I check out your blog a few times a week but I get so excited on Sunday nights and Mondays to see what you guys were up to over the weekend.
Girl, you and your friends are fabulous! Beautiful dresses and sun kissed skin. And what is your workout regime because you look amazing!
It always cracks me up when I read, “Dude” in one of your entries. I use that word so very often myself!
Thanks for sharing your life with us all, it’s so much fun. It’s inspiring, it’s just wonderful!
Oh and I’m from New Jersey
Left Florida for the mountains of Virginia. I am enjoying the lack of humidity. Even with the humidity, you can’t beat that Miami view. What a sweet apartment.
love the pics! glad you didn’t chance it driving across the alley in that storm. that alley can be creepy even without the storms. i’m loving your shoes too, your sandals in miami and your sex in the city shoes.
I have begun to save your blog for last to read because it always leaves me with a smile. :o)

Used to live down there and I love it!! Now we’re in a small town in South Carolina!! A total 180!

By the way, the girls dresses are adorable!! I love etsy!
Nice post. Love the apron dresses. I am in beautiful Pittsburgh PA – not exactly Miami, but we love it!!!
Greetings from WV! And a wonderful post!
Reading your posts always inspires me to treasure my 2 girls and to have fun with them! And to take tons of pictures to capture all those precious moments! THANK YOU!
Two things. I love your girls dresses–beautiful, and I wish I could look as good as you just months after giving birth. Beautiful post as always!
I love your posts…the way you present your days in a photographic journey. Beautiful.

I know my chances are slim but what the hell!!! I read your blog EVERYDAY and if there isn’t a new post, I read the old one again!! Thanks for inspiring my life =)
Tamara from Columbus, Ohio and pregnant with twins!!
Whooo Hoooo! I love your blog!

Great post…it is actually common for a bicyclist to take their seat with them…more of a deterrent to stealing the bike, if they can’t ride it away comfortably.
What a fun girls weekend!!
Loved it!
Love from San Antonio, TX

From NC…come this Thursday, I will happily be back at my haven, the lake!
You know, this last post made me feel homesick. I lived in Miami for 2 years and have moved back to Germany so seeing the photos was bitter-sweet for me …
But aside from that, your writing and & photos are extraordinary as always!
What a great HOT weekend! I’m from Houston, Texas and I love reading your blog. The pictures of your girls are amazing to say the least =)
Love you blog, so inspiring! From Landrum, SC
I love your blog! I am originally from Florida and miss it dearly. I now live in Lynchburg, VA but visit the promised land of Florida every chance I get. Thank you for showing us all how to enjoy the small things and love life. You rock!
PS – I also love all of the song choices and can’t wait to see what song each post will bring. 🙂
lovely photos 🙂 i’m from baton rouge, la… reading about you 🙂
So completely fabulous. And now I am wishing for summer. I can’t wait for the sun to peek out from the clouds some day soon.
I love Miami! What a fun weekend you had! ….from Winter Haven, FL
Your posts always leave me wanting more. And also always make me want to go swimming. You lead a charmed life! 🙂 …sending love from upstate NY!
Those dresses are so adorable! Miami looks awesome…maybe someday! 🙂
I LOVE your blog! So touching and real. Thanks for sharing your life story. Oh, I’m from NE Ohio 🙂
I don’t know how you do it! I don’t know how you have time to be a fabulous mom and wife and friend, and then write and take pictures like this! It’s inspiring. Really.
I photograph as a hobby, and I just love the way you make the background out of focus.
Beautiful stuff here. Love from New Jersey.
I love your photos! I’m from Denver.
Hi! I am Stephanie from a little southern town named Pauline in South Carolina. Our little town is so small we don’t even have a red light.
Sweet!
I’m in Tallahassee and I LOVE your blog, your attitude, and your energy! Thanks for inspiring me.
Here by way of Chapel Hill, NC….
Love the pictures and the joy in your life as always! The thoughts of a happy Lainey in Sephora will give me the giggles for the rest of the day. LOOOOOVE the new header!
To be able to combine your favorite things (sweet babies and lovely life experiences) is a gift. Keep it up!
Coming at you from Hudson, OH.
Greetings from Louisville Kentucky! After a quick jaunt to a state park half way between L’Ville and Cincy yesterday to meet my parents because it had been ONE week (GASP) since they had seen our little, I read your post on our way home – on my blackberry because, well, I just couldn’t wait to get home to the computer. Thanks for having such fun words to share. Your girls are amazingly cute.
Oh how I love that you can hop in the car and be in Miami! Looks like a wonderful trip!
~Jackie from NJ~
Sounds like you had a great weekend! We spent ours at the beach both days!! We live in Snow Hill MD, right below Ocean City MD!!
I read your blog every day and have sent it to many friends. I’m so touched by it. My friend Tara sent you an email and I feel like I brought two soul mates together. This post is so me…I spent most of my life (thus far) single but couldn’t wait to be married with babies. Now I’m 40, married and have one little boy with another boy on the way. And I’m loving life…but certainly loved my single days…and love that you have merged those two worlds. It can be done! Thanks for all your positive and uplifting posts. They make me want to be a better mom, wife and person! Lots of love to you and your family!
Your pics are beautiful! Miami looks AWESOME! I admire you for taking the girls out for a real girls weekend! I have a lil girl and one on the way and I can only hope I can be so adventurous! I’m from the plains of Illinois…so no Miami trips for me 🙁
Your pictures always make me long for the sun-soaked beaches of the Florida coast. Megan, Chicago
I absolutely love your blog. I came across it a couple of months ago after reading your story on Donald Miller’s website and was immediately hooked. I finally decided to comment today because I love seeing a mom who is both: both a homebody and a city girl. I think we’re all a litte bit of both, don’t you? And as a 24 year old fairly newly married person who gets a little nervous when it comes to talk of babies and diapers and staying at home… Your posts bring comfort. Comfort that one day, I can be a mom, but I will still always be me. So thanks!
(And I’m visiting from beautiful–and also sweltering hot–Tallahassee!)
You are the definition of one of my favorite quotes: We do not remember the days, we remember the moments. Each snap of the camera, each moment you capture… inspires all of us to take it all in and cherish every single moment. Thank you!
The sky did the same darn this to us this weekend in the Twin Cities (MN).
I am from Sarasota and I can feel the love when it comes to Miami. Thanks for taking us along on the trip!
I look forward to Mondays b/c I get to read an after weekend post from you! You give me hope that a woman can truly make the life she wants. We don’t have to conform to any “type”. We really can have it all. Thanks again!
How did you like the Movie. I have several reviews, some good, some bad! Haven’t seen it myself yet. What a great weekend though! Utah…
Dear Kandid Kelle,
You’re blog posts always make me want to type ‘I love your blog’ in all capitals (and 30 exclamation points) in the comment box… my twelve year old little sister always does this on my blog… We love to know we are loved, don’t we?
Love,

As always, loving the crisp, bright colors of your photos – – and in particular how you capture both the glamorous and the ordinary throughout the course of one weekend. A genuine delight! (current resident of western NY, soon to be Houston, TX)
Your life rocks…spent the weekend cleaning up rain water from my basement here in Pittsburgh.
Your life rocks…spent the weekend cleaning up rain water from my basement here in Pittsburgh.
What a fun weekend! I’m from Alabama, nothing like Miami haha!
That’s it! ‘The Life I Dreamed Of’ should be the title of your book 😉
Such a fun weekend! The pictures from Miami were fabulous. I’m not a big city girl ( I live in Rhode Island by the way) but it’s fun to get a firt hand glimpse of what it’s like!
The dresses are gorgeous! And look so beautiful on the girls!
xo

I just went to Belkai designs and bought 2 necklaces for my upcoming wedding in Massachusetts. They are so perfect so thank yo for directing me there! I love your recommendations 🙂
Katie
The word FABULOUS comes to mind with this post! I have to say, the photo of your friend in the purple dress holding Nella looks like she’s on the run, in a very Sex and the City-esk way!! Too funny! Also, as someone who used to live on the east coast of FL, you definitely saw some of the best it has to offer! And that view from the pool? Totally to die for!! Maybe I need to trade in my life for a nursing career in Miami? Because wowsers!!!
Love how you always have so much fun and find a way to document it all! Go Kelle!! 🙂
Beautiful as always. Thanks for showing my how to live more positive! My husband thanks you too!
Marti, EVANS GA
Belkai Designs… SO cute! This Mississippi girl would love to win! 🙂
Whoa so many people comment on your blog! I loved this post though, I wish I lived near the beach and had hot weather all the time. I actually live in the DC metro area so it is nice we get 4 seasons! Beautiful babies you have 🙂
I love seeing how well you balance both ares of your life. The ease with which you get up and go with two little ones amazes me and is something I strive for. Keep up the good work mama!
Poppa~I love that you danced with her, reminds me of a horrible prank some mean boys pulled in high school by nominating a girl they thought was not homecoming material to the pageantry that was homecoming and not one boy would be her escort. One of the hottest guys in school got wind of it and asked her if he could be her escort…it shut every single persons mouth up..and taught us a lot about how to love! That was 20 years ago and I STILL remember it well and try to teach my 8 boys to have the same compassion for others!
Kelle~as you know, I love you and love this post and wish, wish, wish I could bring a group of girlfirends to see Sex In the City with me…but we just moved and friendship takes time…I’ll get there, until then I enjoy seeing your night, looks like SO MUCH fabulousness…I love it!
New reader! Love love love your blog. 🙂 -Melanie
Eventful, unexpected, great weekend you had! Don’t you just love it, when spontaneity takes over planning and turns out even better..? I live in miami, we went to Jungle island on miami beach on saturday and completely melted…so hot!!!!!!!
By the way thank you for being such an inspiration of a mom, a woman, a human being! You got me to read A million miles in a Thousand Years, and opened my eyes to a new way of seeing life. Love it!
Yuki
i love your blog…i look forward to all of your posts.

I was just telling friends how my life was just like “Sex and the City” (except for all of that sex) before I got married – working in a big city, shopping, meeting girlfriends for lunch, dinner, parties, etc. I’m glad I had that, but I wouldn’t trade my husband and kids for the world. (Colorado Springs, Colorado)
Oops, I’m writing from Sherman Tx
Seriously, Nellas smiles just totally melts me.
You know, in the post called “Me lub life”, the pictures of Nella lying on her tummy (blue/white striped shirt), the second one there must be one of the best baby pictures ever. So much personality! Love it.
(I was gonna say it a long time ago, but with all the kids running around, well, it happens.)
Your girls are so beautiful, and the post wonderful to read as usual.
Thank you for sharing.
We also have a special needs child, very sick one, and we also have a goal of enjoying life to the fullest while we have it, and focusing on the positive, and enjoying all little things, and every good moment together, and save them for rainy days.
(I’m Aussie, btw, from Perth. My SO is Belgique, and we live in Norway atm. :D)
Love reading your blog & seeing all of your pictures! And I was especially happy to see all the pics of Lincoln Rd. I have family in Florida & haven’t been there in 4 yrs & would love to take my hubby & new son soon! We recently took a trip to Kansas City & I told my husband that Lincoln Rd was the place to go! And I think I need to go see a movie with my girls! I have only been once since my son was born (10 months ago)! Can we say Mommy time!?! heehee!!
– Jessica from Greenwood, AR
I’m from NY but my husband and I are aching to get to South Florida. We have been on the job hunt for months down there with no luck. That skyline makes me tingle!
And as always, those little ladies are pure joy! Great way to start a Monday!
Actually I was born in Miami, but haven’t been there since I was little. Would love to go back one day.
By the way – loved the pictures, as always. 🙂
Gorgeous! Must visit Miami sometime. I’m from Austin!
You and Heidi are the only people who have ever made me want to move from NC, where it’s JUST hot enough for me, to Florida. It looks awesome! Being from PA orginally, i think i’d melt though.
Oh the memories the girls will have!!! I’m from the good ole state of Virginia where we offer everything from Ice Cold Mountains to Steamy Beaches!
I always enjoy the photos…..Jackie from Hoover, AL
I love the new banner for your blog! Adorable.
What a great weekend! I love South Beach. We’re from MI, so we try to get down there every February for a breath of life!

Kelle – not only do we share the same name, albeit different spellings, but our daughters almost share a birthday (Lindsey was born Jan. 18). I found your blog last week and I’m hooked. You’re outlook on the life you’ve been blessed with is more than inspiring. Thank you for sharing it all. The world is better for it.
I read your blog every single day before i start my work 🙂 yep, read and drink my morning Cokacola haha….I am from Texas by the way…way down south texas! Hot here too!
Kelle,
Looks like you had a great time in Miami! Great post, great photos, great fun – as usual! I can relate to you about the heat – I’m in Atlanta, Georgia! (But I can also relate to your fond appreciation for all things sandy and salty. I’m a total beach girl – grew up in Laguna Beach, California!)
Keep rockin’ it!

Thanks for sharing your fun weekend, it was extremely hot here in AL this weekend also. As always your pictures are beautiful.
Well, my daughter Lilly and I visited Miami this morning via Kelle Hampton Airways! The computer screen was our view from our first class seats at our circular, green dining room table. Lilly’s baby bro slept, I sipped coffee, and Lil peeked at pictures of your heels, your littles, and your adventure to a place of palm trees and sun.
Kelly, you and I have traveled a similar journey in that we both were surprised on the day of our daughters’ birth. What a surprise, now: a love like no other!
Thank you for passing on your love for your girls and for life! Oh, and thanks for the shots of sun – we’ve been without it most days this spring in Washington state. But, wouldn’t ya know it – there’s blue bustin’ out of the clouds today!
Colleen Roscoe
P.S. My wonder twin (Kate) has written to you several times. I know there have been a trillion visitors and comments, but know she, too, has been truly touched by your love for the little things in life!
I spent the weekend with my now almost 7yo son this weekend on our annual one on one overnighter. We headed to nearby Rockwall TX a short drive that provided a ton of fun. Jumping on the hotel beds, dinner out sipping Strawberry Lemonades eating burgers and watching the boats in the harbour and throwing pennies in the fountain. We got up early to swim in the almost too hot pool and finished off our trip with a visit to Marble Slab mmm…(where we decided to sit in and cool off from the almost 100 temp outside).
He wanted to buy me a souvenir from our trip and I told him the perfect memories we were making were better than any store bought souvenir. I can’t wait for next year to start the tradition with my 4yo DS and then eventually with my 1yo DD! These memories you are making with your daughters are priceless and I love the melding of your words and pictures where I feel just for a few minutes that I am there in all it’s awesomeness!
Girl you have got THE life!! Can I come hang with you?
We live in the middle of nowhere PA…My daughter’s big city doctors just don’t get it when I tell them not to call my cell phone first….we don’t get service at home LOL!!!
Always dreamed of city life.
Thanks for the great post(s)!!
Valley Girl + Madigan Claire
LOVE all the pictures! What a fun weekend. I wish I could have one like that
What a perfect weekend!!! We went to Sex and the City this weekend in Salt Lake City, UT. It was wonderful!!! The best part was when the mommies were taking about the ups and downs of being a mama!!! Thanks again for a great post!!! Luvs&Hugs from Salt Lake City, UT.

The photography/words/music on your blog are one of the highlights of my day!
I have been reading your blog for awhile now- since another mommy shared your birth story with me. And I instantly fell in love with your family and your girls! I have a 2 year old daughter, and I am pregnant (11 more weeks baby!) with another girl. And my name is Kelly too! 🙂 So I just love reading about your girls’ bond and the things they share- I cant wait for my lil one to get here so my girls can share like that too! 🙂 Thanks for sharing your life! Oh- and I am out in Southern California… and I am NOT looking forward to the hot summer we are supposed to have… 8-9 months pregnant and 100+ temps dont mix… not sure what I was thinking with the timing of this one!
I found your blog about two months after having my little baby boy…and reading your blog inspires me to be a more creative mamma. Thanks so much for opening your life for me to look at and smile!
Sounds like a perfect weekend! I’m from Prescott, Arizona. Not very exciting or exotic, but it works for us for now. It’s a beautiful town.
Such gorgeous pictures! Sounds like y’all had a lovely time in Miami.
I saw SATC2 this past weekend with my ladies and it was great to have some girl time.

Kelle-
What fun! Only you can rock Miami with a naked baby in a sling!
Beautiful post like always. I so truly enjoying reading your blog. You really have such a blessed lifed and it seems like you take advantage of every second of it. I try to learn from that.
I currently live in Connecticut, but am moving to Seattle, Washington in a few short weeks.
Every morning I look forward to reading your post about your weekend. It brightens my day while I’m at work missing my babies who are at daycare. Thanks for being awesome.
I grew up in a beach town, Santa Cruz, CA. It’s a great place. I now leave about 40 minutes from there but it’s close enough to still enjoy it.

I’m from the sunshine-y, warm weathered, long beach, california. Born and raised… I love this place!
I plan on doing a beach day next weekend with my little. Cant wait to post/share. Hope you can come and take a peep at my blog!

I’m from the good ole Kentucky, where us southern girls make homeade sweet tea!!! Love your blog!
I love your blog and have been reading it religiously for quite a while (I even have most of my friends reading it now)! I saw SATC with the girls as well and it was fabulous (and always a little bit difficult to leave my amazing 2year old boy at home). I will continue reading everyday…..from CT!
Kelle, what a lovely post! I’m from Clearwater, FL. Can’t believe we’re so close to one another. I always look for other bloggers who may be from somewhere relatively close to me — you can imagine my happiness when I stumbled upon yours! Keep doin’ what you do! xo
Hi Kelle! Sounds like a fabulous weekend with ALL of your girls. I am from Seattle and read your blog religiously. I grew up with an Autistic brother and it was such a blessing. Lainey is one lucky gal to have Nella as a sister. Keep up the great work on your blog.
Still loving all you write about.

Seriously… your life is my “Life I dream of”.
You are inspiring!!!
Kelle, you’re so beautiful I almost hate you. LOL! Almost, but I never could, because you’re so beautiful and real. I love that you describe being so sweaty you needed expletives! Been there! You are inspiring me to be more creative with photography, and to be more conscious of the little things that bring joy. Thank you! I want to be like you when I grow up!
~Jessica (Monrovia, CA)
Jumping on the rear-end of this massive comment wagon to say a few things:
1. When my 3-year old son saw the picture of you and your friends at the movies he said, “Those are super pretty gals, Mommy. They sure are gorjussss.” (this is his fav. new word). This followed by his cute little sideways glance at me…I swear he was about to sign me up as a candidate for What Not to Wear in comparison to your photos. Perhaps I’m being paranoid. He’s only 3 and wouldn’t know the phone number.
2. I loved your photos of Miami, however could not stop myself from reading your post in a Horatio-from-CSI voice-over. Small things amuse me.
3. You and your girls are simply gorgeous. I must ask (because clearly you have nothing better to do than respond to my questions…), how do you and your peeps get such a beautiful glow? I remember a year or two ago you mentioned you used that Clinique stuff for men. Must get my hands on that, although I suspect I may look like an orange version of Casper once I’m done. I also have a feeling that your beautiful glow radiates from within. Signing off from Regina, Saskatchewan
looks like a fun weekend!!! nella was all smiles in the HOTTNESS it looked like..

You grasp life by the horns and live it to the fullest…I am moved!

By the way, I’ve driven Alligator Alley in the absolute worst storm I’ve ever seen ~ super scary & not something I would ever want to do again! Although I do miss me some Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale love pretty often ~ while I live in PA, I think I’m a FL girl at heart! And I’ve decided I will see Capri Isle…very soon! Loving you and those crazy awesome littles!
I love love love the photos!!! I swear both girls get cuter by the post 🙂 Miami looks like a lot of fun as well. Thank you for always having such great blogs & photos 🙂

I am writing to you from Pittsburgh where we are enjoying our first rain free day in a while. Love the song “In these shoes.”
Thanks for sharing these moments. I know I try to take as much as I can from my own. You have inspired me to try photography so I can capture the moments in my life that I don’t want to take for granted. One of my first shots was of my 4 year old playing tball. I caught the second he smacked the ball off the t and the look of determination on his face. Priceless.
What an awesome mama! And those boots! Love ’em! And I wish I could make this grey sky outside my monotonous classroom here at good old Rocky Top come alive like you did in that gorgeous photo! Keep it coming, we love you! Happy Monday!
love your posts especially on a Monday morning when I’m at work already missing my baby boy
I love your blog – I love your way with words and pictures. Thank you for being you!

Nothing like a giveaway to get people talking on your site! Love it, read it all the time, and feel like you have helped me be a better mom, wife, and friend in the last six months! We all love you so much, Kelle! Thank you for sharing your gifts!
BTW, I live in a fabulous suburb of Dallas where it is also currently blazing hot with my special little girl Casey Jane (6) and her fabulous big brother Danny, (almost 9 — ouch — too old!)
If you EVER get to Dallas, I have a slew of friends and bible study gals that follow you as well and we would all gladly treat you to a fabulous lunch one day if you would grace us with your presence!! 🙂 Just keep that in mind!
Love to you and your family,
Angela
You and your friends looked totally chic on your movie night! And a quick trip to Miami for some fun in the sun with a nurse who stole your heart – what a way to spend the weekend!
*I just wanted to add that the missing bicycle seat is usually because they can be stolen. My husband and I always remove our seats (because we’ve had ours stolen before). I’ve also seen people take one of their tires off, because those can be stolen too.*
Kudos to you for mixing the fab life of heels and girlfriends with the busy, lovely life of a mama.
Beautiful girls! love the pics 🙂 I am from Missouri!
oh so so wonderful, it looks like you did have an absolutely wonderful weekend!
I am writing (and reading!) all the way from Calgary, Alberta, Canada!
Much love to you and your family! ♥
Great post. Fingers crossed on the giveaway.

I love your blog and your beautiful pictures. Your girls are adorable.
I know it’s just your normal, but oh girl, what a wonderful life you have! Babies and beaches are 2 of my favorite things! No beaches here in Cincinnati, OH
Love Love Love your blog! I always look forward to your posts!
What a beautiful post! I dream of living in a high condo of some big warm city…. always have. For now, I’ll enjoy newlywed life with my best friend in our beautiful white pickett fenced home in little tiny Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
I’m originally from Mississippi but live in Alabama now. I don’t even remember who told me about your blog but I’ve only be reading for about a week or so and am loving it already. Your family is precious, your words are amazing and your photos are delicious. Thank you for sharing you life!
Kelle, I love how flexible and laid back you are in your parenting. Spur of the moment sleepover in a Miami condo? Sure! You are inspiring in so many ways! Thank you for sharing your life with us.
~Lindsey from Tallahassee
Oh how I miss Miami! I grew up there and we moved to North Carolina for the simple life, but I do miss my “single in the city girl life”…but wouldn’t trade in my cozy days at home with my two girls as well. Your daughters are gorgeous and your photography and words are poignant. Love reading your blog 🙂
I love your pics and your commentary…I just wish that I was blessed with your gift 🙂
London, Ontario, Canada 🙂
I absolutely love your blog. You inspire me to realize I can be a good mom and enjoy life at the same time! Although I’m a teeny bit jealous since we never have weather like that up here in Massachusetts!
you look fab-you make everything look so easy! love the pics, as usual!
As a new “Momma”, I continually find myself entering your world via your blog and filling with excitement and inspiration. I love my little more than words could say but I love the way you love your littles by gifting them all of the amazing, little, but huge experiences. You gift them life through these experiences and it encourages me to do the same for my little! Your changing lives fellow “Momma”!!
hey Kelle,
As always your blog made my day a little brighter. I’m a reader from Raleigh, NC. Oh, and I wanted to tell you, I think you look like Sandra Bullock in the header for your blog!
~Lisa
I forgot to mention that I’m from Baltimore, Maryland sooo up north from you. It’s weird to say that, I don’t feel like I live up north! I love the new header. Lainey has the cutest smile. My nephew Ryen who is 4, always asks who the little girl on my screen is, when I’m reading your posts! So she’s already got a little fan of her own. 🙂

My nephew Ryen who is 4, always asks who the little girl on my screen is, when I’m reading your posts! So she’s already got a little fan of her own. 🙂
So much fun!

Oh how I love little visits that turn into sleepovers. Seriously, there should be more of them. Commenting all the way from Arizona and sympathizing with the hot little naked babies!
Love your blog! I am from Maui!
Hi Kelle,
girlfriend fun is rejuvenating isn’t it? I had mine last night, and anther batch tomorrow night and again on Saturday, so I have a great week to look forward to.
We live in Clarmont, CA. It is the furthest east city in the Los Angeles County. It is nicknamed the city of trees and PHd’s because it is a small college town full of beautiful old oaks, nuevo-hippies and intellects. Summer’s are pretty special here with littles all about in park wading pools and movies and music in the parks. Basically, lots of marrow to suck over here, thanks for reminding me to enjoy it all. Tell Poppa to start his own blog…I will be his first follower.
Until I started reading your blog, I thought Florida was only for retirement.
Now, I’d be happy to live in Florida.
I’m from Virginia!
I’ve never been but I love parts of LA for the same reasons.. the culture and fun of it all. OH those views from her place are amazing!
Oh and the bicycle seat may have been removed to deter people from stealing the bike… because thats one fun bike!
What fun! I’m from Raleigh, NC.
Your girlies are just beautiful kelle, thanks for sharing them with us. – Kim from Long Island
Dreaming about what it would be like to live in a warmer climate from rainy North Bend, Washington (just out of Seattle.)
I love reading your blog. It makes my life at work so much better living vicariously through yours. We don’t have weather like that where I am from (San Luis Obispo, Ca). You would love it here.
Kendra
Looks like a beautiful weekend. Also? I’m loving your bangs pinned back.
Oh, and I’m from Reading, PA.
like the south african flag in the background in the middle of Miami! Thanks again for great pics and a wonderful, uplifting blog.
Gill, Johannesburg, South Africa
I went to see Sex in the City on the night it opened. I loved the first movie & this one was just as good, IMO! I LOVE the scene where Charlotte & Miranda are drinking & talking about how hard it is to be a mom! I’m a mom of 2 little girls & I was like, if those ladies are feeling overwhelmed even when they have a nanny or a SAHD, it really affirms how I feel sometimes considering I do it all myself. 🙂
Oh, & I’m from a city west of Portland, OR. Envious of your sunshine sometimes! I love the bright pics on your blog – helps me remember what sunny days look like.
I’m FROM Massachusetts, transplanted first to Hawaii (LOVED it) and now Pennsylvania (working on it!)
I love your photographs, your girls are so beautiful and you inspire me when I take pictures of mine!
I’m in the Tampa Bay area, and when my cousin, Lacey, told me about your blog, I had JUST come back from a random trip to the everglades to go on an air boat ride for the fist time. We had dropped the kids off w/ my mom last minute in the evening, drove to Ft. Lauderdale to meet up w/ friends and went out.
I think you and I are alike, only you have girls and I have boys and you’re way cooler:)
My husband and I used to go to SoBe once/month. Not so much now. Your blog makes me happy!
I absolutely love your writing! What a fun weekend!!
That view is amazing!!!! I couldn’t imagine going to sleep everynight to that view.
I have heard of people to remove their bike seats to deter thieves from taking their bikes!
Love the shoes, I am a shoe nut!
Also, because you asked, I am from Alberta Canada, and I LOVE your blog!
You truely are an insppiration. I love your posts…. Danbury, CT
lovin’ your site from up here in central NY state.
Yay!
I’m from North Carolina 🙂
Been reading for a while now… I just love when a new post pops up! Thanks for showing us the beautiful things in life… babies, high heels, and blue skies.

Kelle, we share an alter ego. Love your outlook and attitude! –Logan, Utah
I already posted but I fogot to tell you wher I’m from! I live in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. You should come visit sometime:)
Miami is a lot more happening than the small army post we call home.
What a fun day out with your little girlies and a great friend. And I was a teeny bit sad there wasn’t a picture of you in your fabulous dress with your friends!
I love your blog and look forward to your updates. I read your blog all the way from Canada in a province called Manitoba. I live in small town village where people have chickens and rabbits for “pets” in their yards. Dogs run free and we all have gardens bigger than most peoples yards. We love it. 🙂
But there’s something alluring about a big, bustling city…
Wow! I was just going to comment on the bike seat thing, so If I’m that random winner – it will be doubly cool.
My friend always removes his bike seat when parking his bike to discourage anyone from stealing the whole thing. Just a thought of what might have been up with that…
Can’t wait to order a dress from your cousin’s wife…I’m heading to Etsy right now.
BTW…I’m from Richmond, Virginia.
love your blog, it’s one of the few I actually remember to check almost daily 🙂
Mandy from Minnesota
i had no idea you were such a huge sex and the city fan!!! i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE me some sex and the city! me and my girlfriends got dressed up to go see it too 🙂 good stuff!

Love your blog, Kelle! You’ve inspired me to purchase an SLR camera, so I can capture all the little (and big) moments in life. I’m finally started to experience some warm sunny Florida weather up in New York.

Love, love, love this post. I often find myself tossed between two worlds I love, especially as a working mom of three. CAN. TOTALLY. RELATE. I just wish I could describe it so eloquently. 😉
I love the post…it’s funny though, as fun as it looks to get all dressed up and go to the movies, all I could think was “I would be so cold if I wore that to a movie”…sad, I know. 🙂 The most fun I have at movies is jamming my purse full of homemade popcorn and lemonade. Oh, and I’m from New York…but I live in Idaho.
Hi, my name is Samantha and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada I heard about your blog through a friend that lives in Calgary,AB and that friend’s sister somehow knows you. Anyways.. I’ve been lovin’ your website since the beginning when you had about 20 followers 🙂
Your pictures are gorgeous, as are those beautiful homemade dresses. I’m from Northern Virginia but I’m commenting from Salamanca, Spain, where I’m studying abroad. Do I win the prize for farthest away? 🙂
Love your blog. I live in Miami and have a 5-year-old daughter with autism–she has taught me a great deal about what it means to love unconditionally. Look forward to your future posts. I used to live in a condo building near Lincoln Road, so your account seemed familiar.
Breathtaking photos, as always!
I’m in Houston. To Maya who commented above me, I just moved from Aliso Viejo, CA (pretty much across the freeway from MV). I miss it so much!

P.S. I’m from Central Virginia (Waynesboro).
Send some of that heat over to Ireland, please!!! At least I can live it vicariously through your post! As a mum of two little girls not too different in age from yours I’m inspired at your babe-in-sling outing too. LOVE the apron dresses so much I may eventually get around to making some for mine … but not likely anytime soon as we just lost our third. Thanks for the ongoing challenge to celebrate all that is good in life.
I would love to go to Miami one day! From winnipeg, manitoba, canada
I always enjoy reading your blog and living vicariously through you! We Midwesterners don’t get the joys of a beach…but we do understand the stickiness of a summer’s day!
Katie–Saint Louis, Missouri
Your blog is such a highlight to my day. It’s often the grab a coffee and chill time for me when my littles are napping. Thanks for the beauty that you choose to find in life and the desire to put it into words and pictures to bless other people too.
Your gift is truly a terrific ministry. Press on.

Kelle! I absolutely love your blog, it makes me smile everyday at work 🙂 I am currently living the fantastic single life in the great city of Philadelphia… It may not be as glamourous as Maimi but it certainly has lots of opportunities for fabulousness 🙂 Thanks for providing happy little “pick-me-ups” on most mornings!
Oooh… my favourite pic of this post is of you and the girls in the window of pottery barn. So cool!
I envy your warm sun so much from up here in Vancouver, Canada, where it can’t decide if it will rain or shine.
Like your other followers, I love to soak up your ever satisfying words and contentment and seek out Poppa’s words as an extra bonus of your blog. 😉

Wow what a fun city. I must visit–in the wintertime 😉
It gets hot enough here in Dallas Texas already.
Looks like you & your girls had a fun weekend in Miami. I work full time, so weekends are my time to relax & hang with my 3 kiddos. And my oldest girl, nearly 3, has the same extra-special-ness as Nella. Love all your posts. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and we’re from a small town in IL. 🙂
Love your shoes.

I absolutely adore how much Lainey already loves all things girly! She is too adorable. I feel like sampling everything when I’m at Sephora too! The views from the condo…jealous!
Can you win if you’re from Canada???
I live in BC, Canada!
I always look forward to your posts! Love those beautiful girlies too. =)
Kirsty MacColl’s song is the perfect one for this post! Love it!
had to comment again, mine wasn’t working earlier…have to visit FL someday, will you have coffee with me when I do?? 😉
Daniele from Chicago
I am so familiar with that dark sky that moves in suddenly! I’m from Oviedo,fl….right outside of Orlando. I wish I could get my 9month old to hang as well as Bella does. No way she would tolerate half of what you do with her. My girl needs to be home in her bed twice a day for naps or it’s meltdown time. I’m a little jealous as I feel very tied to my home right now. It’s a short phase though, I recognize. Love the little dresses!
Megan
I love your blog spot…….I check it every day no matter what kind of day it is….. Your girls are so cute. I work with a D.S. boy at a school and he makes me SMILE every day…. and when I read about Nella I just think of the fun you are going to have with her as she grows…… she will make you smile every day and make you laugh(amazing)…. have a good week…..

What a fun girls night out with friends and a girls day out with your sweet little ones!
I grew up in Florida and being back over there last month for a vacation to visit family, I realize that it’s where I belong. As a military wife, I’m enjoying where ever we are uprooted and replanted, which right now is Cibolo, a suburb of San Antonio, Texas. Florida will be there when we finish this wonderful journey.

glad you had a great weekend :o) Mama’s deserve to have fun…I like doing it with my kids in tow as well.
What a great treat for others to get to see how happy being a Mama can make you!
Yes, I totally get the balance between mommy-ing and being the fabulous being that we are all created to be. Your Miami pictures made me fondly remember when we were there as a family after a cruise.
What a funny store!!! Miami is so beautiful, from your perspective! I think it’s great that Lainey loves to try on lipgloss!!! I’m from Amarillo, TX where it’s hot and windy!!! 🙂

You and your friends really know how to do a girls night right 😉 Rexburg, Idaho
I doubt that I’ll win from this massive outpouring of comments, but there’s always hope, right? Always a new day to shrug our shoulders, get up, and keep moving. And that’s good. I’m coming from my blog, http://manyrandommusings.blogspot.com. I’m also coming from up north, in a happy place where we’ve just now got sunshine. And smiles. That’s always around. Especially when we read your blog.
Love this post, like all of your posts. Would love to win the gift certificate, but with over a thousand comments…it’s unlikely.
There’s always tomorrow though.
I want to hold your baby. I’m so jealous of your friends who get to hold her and make her smile. I just love her by the pics, I can only imagine the impact in person.
those dresses are super cute! And I love that you get all dressed up to go to the movies! Great post!

I look forward to clicking on the link to your site off of my blog and I love it more when I see a new post with amazing pictures of your beautiful family. The song selections for each post are amazing and just makes the reading even more fun.
I live in Chicago and am a Cubs fan (like Lainey)!
You are an amazing mom!
Beautiful weekend! I just love your taste in music, Kelle. Sometimes I will leave your blog open when I need some music on.
I’m from Regina (the place the rhymes with fun), Saskatchewan (the place that people struggle to spell), where we are still dreaming of a hot Canadian summer, and where canker worms are in full bloom, but the babies and I dodge them the best we can and check our hair for them when we get inside.
Do you not have the most awesome, stunning friends. Looks like so much fun! And you, so awesome too. I mean who can pull off those shoes while carrying the sweetest baby to a movie? Florida looks perfect! Hope to see it one day. Here in small farm town, Alberta, Canada, we get wind, wind and snow. We are lucky to have a month or two of summer.
Thanks again for being so real 🙂
Some day I’m going to run into you somewhere and I’m going to give you a huge hug and you are going to be shocked since you won’t know me, but I love your blog. I’ve got 3 little kids under the age of three and you remind me every day that I need to savor every minute of life with my children. Bless you!
All the way from Berkeley, CA!
Too much fun! Your city-lovin’ life is so foreign to me, as I’m from the tiny mountain town of Moose Pass, Alaska (pop. 250)…but it’s fun living vicariously through you!
Such a fun post…you sure know how to have fun!
Brooklyn… From California
You look fabulous – how do you stay so fit? I’m new here so not sure if you’ve posted about your routine. I think BALANCE must be your middle name. I’m from Central California
Loving your Miami weekend…from Sarah in Kansas City, MO!
Dear Kelle,
I love your blog; mostly I think because of the pictures. People say “a picture speaks a thousand words” – yours do, showing us beauty in so many ways. Ways that mamas don’t ever want to forget, promising themselves that they won’t; and then life goes fast and we can’t remember. Or we’re pregnant, and find there are lots! of memories we’ve forgotten. Things like little piggies, hair that curls “just so”, facial expressions, and joy on our babies faces.
Thank you for sharing your mama memories with us!
~from Illinois
Fun fun and fun! BTW the missing bike seat is likely with the owner. Who wants to try and steal a bike with no seat?! LOL
Loving all your photos as usual! You are one rockin’ Momma!!
Beautiful pictures, dresses, friends, children…you are living an amazing life. Thank you for sharing!
Loved the shoes, even with toilet paper. And as I type this I just noticed my 17 month old has managed to poop out of his diaper, and our carpet has been the unlucky recipient of that yuckiness. And I feel completely comfortable sharing that with you because if nothing else, what just happened is real life, and your blog is all about celebrating real life in all of its glory.
LOVE your blog! I got hooked on it during my maternity leave while I was up in the middle of the night nursing my little one. She was born 1/11, just a couple weeks before Nella. Know what’s funny? I was JUST looking at those exact same dresses on Etsy a few days ago, wanting to get something cute and vintage-y for a photo shoot of my girl. Thanks for sharing your life with us all – and the beautiful pictures! BTW, we live in Jax, FL.
Your life is amazing!
oh how i love coming to read your blog every day. even with the little bits of sad mixed in it just makes me happy and feel like i want to be creative and it motivates me to squeeze the most out of life. i’m from a little town in idaho (idaho falls), and any time you wanna come see the beautiful mountains and Yellowstone park feel free to visit!
Loving big post!!!!!

Sounds like you had a blast! I love that your life revolves around the girls and you’re always having fun! I have two little boys and we’re livin’ in up near Dallas, Tx.
I am so in love with your view of Miami (a place I’ve never visited) and the spontaneous sleepover. How special for EVERYONE!
BTW…Atlanta is home.
Gorgeous as always. LOVE your shoes. And what I wouldn’t do to be able to pack up the littles and leave Indiana for just a taste of that scenery!
I’m COMING OUT! I’ve quietly read your blog for sometime since it was randomly sent to me by mass e-mail, the post about Nella’s birth. I’ve wanted to write to you and tell you my story because although it’s totally different, it’s very much similar at the same time. Someday….. I’m from Arizona.

Hi There I am from Louisiana. It gets pretty sticky hot here too. Glad you had a great weekend. Wonderful pics!
Thanks for reminding us mama’s that we can have it all! You are an inspiration. Hugs from Ohio.
I am so so glad I checked my blog reader amidst this crazy beginning of the last week of teaching/finals/school in Pennsylvania. I needed a reminder to be grateful for the “small things” with my own little who will begin a series of steroid shots to get rid of infantile spasm seizures. I am petrified, but I know everything will be alright in the end.
On a lighter note, my own mama and I went to see Sex and the City over the weekend as well (not quite the glammed up version, but we were rockin out on the inside) and left the theater to a beautiful sky alight with lightning jags and rumbling thunder.
As a mommy to a beautiful little girl (named Penelope & who will be turning 3 in two weeks!) and a photographer I am in love with your blog, your photos and your precious family. 🙂
I love your blog!!!! I’m from Kansas! We are awaiting our first baby (not pregnant yet- IVF babies awaiting their trip to my womb) I can’t wait to be a mom!
I’m a first time commenter, and I have to tell you…your blog always brightens my foggy days!! *sigh* someday I wish they would open a Sephora in my neck of the jungle!! <3

Love this post! It is fun to see your adventures:) Reminds me as a mama that you can have a blast with your girlfriends and still be a super fun and crazy mom with the littles at home.

Ummm, you might want to call the Miami Mayor and see if he/she wants to publish these pictures in their tourist magazine because it would attract thousands! You made me wanna zip over to miami today! Wowie, zowie!!
And those dresses? GASPOLA!!
from Romeoville, IL, sounds much nicer than it is, but it’s home!
Loved this! I’m going to Florida for the first time next month, and this got me excited!

I love Kelle Hampton’s Blogggg!!! Makes me smile real big every time I read it. What a fabulous, beautiful life you life. Also: I’m from Meeechigan.
Love the pics of your little one enjoying the finer lip glosses in life. I feel your pain on the heat meter. Here on the coast in SC it’s been H-O-T.
Oh how fun! I’m green with envy! I endured some crazy storms this weekend in Michigan. Love your writing, your littles and your fab outlook!
What fun you and your girls had. Now I need to have go out and have some fun with my girls too! (from Laguna Hills, CA)
Your blog and pictures and writing puts a smile on my face and in my heart.

I heart your story! I also heart your “littles”! I look forward to reading your blog the minute my eyelids open 🙂 Thanks for all the smiles!
Such beautiful girls(and photos!)!!! I’m commenting from Albuquerque, NM, where we had quite a hot weekend ourselves!
Love your posts! The bike without the seat is suppose to be like that… people take them off and take them with them, so they don’t get stolen!
Love your photos.. you inspire me!
Cheers,
Sarah from Winnipeg, Canada!
Hmmm….my first comment didn’t work…anyways, I LOVE your blog. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Love, Michelle, Langley, BC, Canada
Fantastic post, I loved it, as I do all of them :-))))) You really do inspire me to live bigger, better, and more beautifully. My four girls all love looking at the photos too, so pretty. They love Nella, they always think they are photos of our Georgia (who is 2 and has DS), when she was a baby!
We are in Melbourne, Australia. Where it is very cold and wintry at the moment. Hard to imagine you over there boiling and leaping in and our of swimming pools!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! We spent the weekend poolside as it was so hot here in VA. Love all the pics!
Sleepovers always seem to be more fun when they aren’t planned. Why is that? Much love…from Ontario, Canada
I so look forward to your blog posts! I know that I will continue to read them until your girls reach marrying age because I can NOT WAIT to see what you will do as a mother-of-the-bride. (just imagine all the creative DIY possibilities. . .)Don’t blink. It will be here before you know it. My first is getting married in 2 weeks and just yesterday, she was a sweet little peanut, just like Nella is now. It isn’t sad, though. Just another wonderful experience to share with your daughter. . .it never ends, you know. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your joy with us. It brings me a smile at the end of an exhausting and frustrating day – and reminds me what is really important in my life. Hugs to you!

I love that you blog about nursing in public! You’re breaking the stigma one post at a time.
Okay, your friends are way more fun than mine.
Loved the pics and stories!

Gorgeous girls! I adore their dresses, makes me wish for a baby girl of my own. I don’t think my son would enjoy wearing girly dresses.
I’m originally from Pennsylvania, but moved to Florida seven years ago.

Miami looks like it’s so dynamic! I am a Missoula, Montana native, but my love for swimming has me envying your year-round warm weather. In another month or so, we’ll be floating the river and boating on lakes.
I so enjoyed reading this post, as always.

Great post!! I always look forward to them. Living in Ontario, Canada the wonderful sunshine and beauty in your photos made me long for a trip to Miami. For a few moments while reading your post I was there in the heat enjoying the sights, so thank you. By the way I checked out your cousins Etsy store and I am totally going to order one of her dresses for my little!
This mommy of five from Long Island, New York loves your blog, pics, and inspiration. Yay!
Its always good to have a single girlfriend who’s life is a bit different from our own, so we can exchange stories and see how the “other side” lives 🙂
-Jessica from San Diego, CA
I am smiling from ear to ear…I took my little nurseling to Sex and the City 2, also!
We hail from Fort Lauderdaleish…but we were in WDW this weekend, melting from the heat. My littlest little loved Mickey Mouse!

Gorgeous pictures and pretty babies, as usual! =) I live in Phoenix right now, but it’s not my “home”. Hoping to get back to CO or maybe back to the NW eventually. It’s SO hot here! (Which I know you can relate to.)
WOW! lots of commenters on tis one! People must really love Belkai Designs! I just love you and your beautiful girls and your pictures and your fabulous words! I love the pics of your reflection in store front mirrors. Awesome! i must say, I’ve never been disappointed by a single post of yours yet- you bring a smile to my face with every post! I’m from Thousand Oaks, California by the way and I love going on weekend/day trip adventures that mix mama-hood and dressed up sassiness!
This post makes me want to do some traveling with my 2 and 3 year old, you make it seem so glamorous! My husband and I just went to see the new Sex in the City movie over the weekend and for about 2 hours I was able to escape into the life of Carrie Bradshaw. What a great movie! I love the new knot dresses that the girls have, does it get any cuter than that? By the way, I live in Geneva, New York.

I forgot to mention in my last post. I thought that the song “Glamorous” by Fergie would be a cool song to play for your Miami post 🙂
I really don’t think you have any friends that don’t look fabulous. Please tell me you have average looking friends or I will start to feel dowdy when I look at your very fabulous pictures:)
Looks like you had a blast. I just love those apron dresses…too cute! Both Lainey and Nella look absolutely adorable.

Great post! I just had to catch up on the past few weeks. Our family bought a new camper and ,like you, I am beginning to enjoy summer vacation here in upstate NY before it has officially begun.
I love reading your blog up here in virignia.
I am always inspired every time I read your blog. I think it is very important as a mother to make time for yourself. A lot of mothers don’t get out, and put their husbands and kids first. You do need that time to yourself. Great post! Your girls are adorable!! Wellsville Utah
Your posts and photos are always so inspiring in my life. Amazing!
We’re in Ontario Canada, and it’s chilly right now – not nice enough to swim in at the moment!
I want to go to Miami and sleep on the 32nd floor. And watch the sky go from normal to crazy in a minute. And nurse my sweaty baby. And shop. And drink sangria. Because its practically still winter here. kidding – kind of.
from… Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada
Your posts always inspire me to slow down and savor my time with my two little girls. I’m enjoying life as a SAHM in San Fran. 🙂
I feel like I take a vacation when I read your words.
I follow your blog from Oklahoma City, OK!!
Wow, look at all the comments come out when you have a free offer! I went to Miama last February with some girlfriends and had a BLAST. Such a fun place to get away with toes in the sand and music blaring from the clubs as you walk by (and men handing out tickets to get in, ha!). But oh so nice to return home to my beautiful family. Awesome pictures as always!
-Jenny from Iowa
(And Iowa really is beautiful this time of year, despite what people think!)
Oh Kelle, how I am in so much need of a weekend like yours! I LOVE it!!!!

This is my first time ever entering a Giveaway…beginners luck right? Your girls are darling! I am from Salt Lake City, UT (and am heading to Miami in a few weeks, this post just got me way too excited!)
Well, my daughter Lilly and I visited Miami this morning via Kelle Hampton Airways! The computer screen was our view from our first class seats at our circular green dining room table. Lilly’s baby bro slept, I sipped coffee, and Lil peeked at pictures of your heels, your littles, and your adventure to a land of palm trees and sun.
Kelly, you and I have traveled a similar journey in that we both were surprised on the day of our daughters’ birth. What a surprise, now: a love like no other!
Thanks you for passing on your love for your girls and for life! Oh, and thanks for the shots of sun – we’ve been without it most days this spring in Washington state. But, wouldn’t ya know it – there’s blue bustin’ out of the clouds today!
P.S. My wonder twin (Kate) has written to you several times. I know there have been a trillion visitors and comments, but know she, too, has been truly touched by your love for the little things in life!
Colleen

I miss Miami- not the heat but the cultural heat- N looks like such a snug little bug in the sling!
Great post.
Kelle you look fabulous! How do you do it? Your girlie are beautiful and thanks for sharing your fun weekend with us!
Yay for being able to mix girly nights out and being a Mummy! I still haven’t figured how to do that. Maybe one day I will!
Great & inspiring post as always x
You are so incredible!
I am full of excuses. Mom to five boys, mommy frumpy life, never make time for myself, leaving the fun single life behind long ago.
You amaze me. You jump into life with both feet planted firmly.
You have me addicted to Ingrid Michaelson by the way.
Lainey and the lip gloss is precious. And baby Nella just melts my heart every time I look at here. Love the last pic in the apron dress!
Hi Kelle! I’m totally in love with your blog. ♥ I try to read it as often as i can…even if I only tell myself…”Only a minute before bed” I end up staying up reading and reading and catching up! You’re such a rockstar!
All the way from Corona, (Southern California) Sending you and your sprites lots of love,
OK, so…you have about 829374432 friends (approximately), and yet…not a single one is even remotely chubby. What is up with that? Why no love for the fatties?
I absolutely love checking in on your blog, and what you do with your girls…..Love every moment it takes to read…
Thanks from California!
Where’d you get the dresses? CUTE!

Another great post, Kelle! Beautiful pictures and writing, as usual. I enjoy reading about sunny Florida from here in rainy Eugene, Oregon!
Thanks Kelle! I was missing your blog since I went back to school and was able to sneak back for my dose of Floridian lovliness! Thank you so much…I live in Modesto, CA which is not nearly as close to the ocean as I wish I was!
My sister just got back from her holiday in NYC and Miami. I have not seen her photos yet, but now I can’t wait. Your mini break looks wonderful, hot, but wonderful!!
I am from Australia 🙂
It looked like you had such a great time. Here in Sydney Australia, its cold wet and raining. Can we swap place?! How about sending some sunshine and warmth our way! You and your family are just gorgeous. You inspire me with your positivity and outlook on life. Take care. xx
WOW Kelle, it amazes me that you did Big City with two littles, I would not attemp to do such myself, but then I don’t really like city’s, especially driving in them …But I’m sure the girls had a grand time, just being with Mom and her friend …
I had to comment on your Dad’s post, it brought tears this morning, how wonderful he was to step up and dance, it reminds me of a song, by Lee Ann Womack, I hope you dance, and this video remind me of you Kelle …*warm smiles* enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1IowUGTHDk
Have a great week,
Deborah, the Canadian Nurse …

I’m normally a lurker, but felt like finally commenting 🙂 LOVED this post! I totally agree about the life of suburbia vs the life of a city gal. I love my suburbian life, but love to visit with my friends in the city! Love to read your blog here in suburbia…of Pittsburgh.
Looks like you guys had lots of fun and I’m with lainey…Sephora is better than Disney! I LOVE those dresses too.

Looks like an awesome weekend. I LOVE the apron dresses-so precious. I’m in South Texas–it is hot here too, but maybe not unable to cross your legs hot (yet).
More than 1300 comments. Probably won’t get to little ole me down here, but I just wanted to say, as always, you are so inspiring, and I am taking the time to enjoy my littles as they grow, even stopping in the middle of the grocery store to take pictures of Claire in her frist grocery cart ride sans carrier, something I never would have done before reading your blog. So you have changed one momma’s perspective on life, even a few hundred miles away in Birmingham. Thanks so much for sharing your life with us.
Well Kelle, I did it. I scraped together $300 and bought a used Canon Digital Rebel XT kit. Beginner stuff. But I had to. I am so relentlessly inspired by you, and Lainey and Nella. You’re doing eexactly what I wanted to do, enjoying the small things, illustrating your blessings, letting the world in on it. Thank you.
I love your posts and you take such wonderful pictures! I don’t know how you “do it all”!
Amber from Minnesota

I am in sunny 110 degree weather Arizona. Watching the kids making doughnuts while i supervise. Planning a beach/disney getaway for summer…

I am from Connecticut.
Me and the midnight sun here in Oulu, Finland, would like to thank you for your beautiful and inspiring blog. It’s truly amazing.

Loved your comment about your weekend experience dancing. Glad that your heart leaped to share the joy with the lone woman dancing her heart out on the dance floor. We all have reasons to dance – physically or figuratively – regardless if it’s the music or our sheer happiness forcing us to move.
Your family is blessed to have you.
Warm regards,
Jennifer/Tallcurlygirly

Love your blog so much. You inspire me and your girls are precious!

Hi Kelle – I have followed your blog for just two months now and am addicted. It is my special “treat” during a day of chaos. I enjoy your blog because I feel much of the same way you do, but can’t articulate as nicely. I am the mother of three little boys (three and under) and am a photographer wanna be (although a CPA, by education, weird, huh?). I just turned 30 and struggle with ways to let motherhood consume me while not losing my personal style and identify. You capture the combination beautifully. My “little” was born just shortly before your little Nella, so love to see her in your pictures and compare her to our baby Evan. Your girls are gorgeous and the fairy party made me actually “hurt” for a little girl of my own . . .thanks for adding so much enjoyment to my days over the past two months.

I work in a hospital for Neonatal medicine and this blog is so inspirational and lovely. I have already recommended the “special Tri-13” necklace to one Mama of a super cute DS baby. Thanks for the great site.
I just adore your blog!! I don’t have any kids of my own yet (but I can’t wait till I do)!! I love that I can hear your voice when I read your words, your pictures are so amazing and your girls, well the girls are just the most beautiful girls ever!! I love all the matching gifts you get for them, so sweet!!
Love from New Hampshire!
shoot it’s tuesday! did you randomly decide already? me, me, me! 🙂 love your blog and your ‘tude!
first time commenter (though I have been itching to soo many times lately)… I have a TERRIBLE two year old who seems to be a bit behind in her speech and its making me a bit scared and a 4 month old little born right around the time of your sweet little angel!
Reading your blog makes me try harder to appreciate the small things, each and every day. Which is hard since hubby is deployed. (Two months down, two to go without the best Daddy in the whole world).
I took my first daughter to SNTC1 as a newborn but I have yet to see SNTC2 because I don’t have anyone to leave my littlest with… she’s a crappy sleeper but I’m now inspired to take her to a viewing with me. Just don’t want to disturb any other movie goers!
Your blog amazes me and truly makes me appreciate my girls, my husband, my life and to slow down and enjoy every day. Thank you!!!
Your blog makes me happy 🙂
Can’t wait until I have my own babies someday. Here in San Jose, Ca
Dear Kelle,
You are a wonderful photographer. I am dieing to see your summer do to list!
Nella and her friend Mia are soooo cute! Lainey in the pool pics are awesome, you can see how proud she is of herself. Love the one of her and her brother too!
