A Few More…

May 10, 2008 By Kelle

More fun on the beach last night (some of these lost a little clarity in Photobucket’s transfer…grrrr). I brought a little cooler of Drumsticks to end the shoot with some sticky fun, and I think those ended up being my favorite pictures of all! P.S. Aren’t rainboots divinity?

Just Be Yourself

May 10, 2008 By Kelle

When I take pictures of kids, it’s almost a spiritual experience for me. I am amazed, even after 3 years of teaching, how every single child, every single baby, every single waddling little tot I meet possesses their own “sumthin'” …little spirits that make each child who they are whether they are shy and quiet or bold and animated. Any child can be posed, but to wait and watch a child be who they really are and snap away with the small chance that I might capture “it”–that little sumthin’ inside them–is not only a challenge but a beautiful experience for me. As many times as I have done it, I’ve never found two “sumthins” alike. Here’s a few little sumthins’ from a beach shoot tonight…more to come.

“One of the most emotionally stirring books I’ve ever read….a reminder that a mother’s love for her child is a powerful, eternal, unshakable force.”
