I know I have not read this post yet… since it is not there, but I just wanted to say that Lainey is a gorgeous birthday girl! I also wanted to give you a tip I kept forgetting to send about the no-sew tutu. If you make it exactly the way you did but onto a thick ribbon with a knot about 10 inches from each end (leaving between them the length you would need to tie around the little’s waist) then you just tie the ribbon into a big bow to secure it around their waist. Then it is really no tie and in my opinion better for attaching to baby waists. Thought you might like the tip if you are making one for Nella. (Pulling on a tulle skirt for a baby is more difficult than just tying it around them). I love your blog and can’t wait to read about Lainey’s birthday party! Erin

I want to share with you a short conversation with my daughter just after she walked in and caught a glimpse of the fairy houses being painted while I was viewing this blog……
Jess: What’s that-what are they doing?
ME: this little girl Lainey had a fairy birthday party and they painted houses for the fairies.
Jess:I want to do that at my party.
ME: but you told me you wanted a Hello Kitty party NOT a fairy party?!?
Jess: I WANT TO HAVE A HELLO KITTY GARDEN FLOWER PARTY.
Me: so why do we need to paint fairy houses if it’s not a fairy party?
Jess: FOR THE BIRDIES IN THE GARDEN!!
