A couple weeks ago, Heidi stopped by on a Sunday morning after a photoshoot and hung out with us. She took some pictures of our morning–the ordinary everyday things we do like change diapers, braid hair and trip over laundry baskets that have been sitting untouched for weeks. Later that afternoon, we edited the pictures together with music and a cocktail, and I cried looking at them, our little everyday highlighted so beautifully.
Pictures can be so deceiving, especially presented in the flowery scope of social media. There are so many stories of challenge and imperfection that cushion the beauty of these ordinary routines–a marriage we fight to maintain, bad habits we strive to put to rest, and moments of different perspective where brushing hair in the morning feels more like a task than a cherished ritual.
But when the sun shines just right, you can see it.
A little bit of ordinary weekend: (And now I wish I would have left the beds unmade.)

What have you done differently to your look Kelle? you look great but cannot put my finger on it all 🙂
Such beautiful pictures. Looks like a perfect Sunday. love, Love, LOVE
everything about this post.
Sweet photos! Pictures that capture a family as is are always the most refreshing!
Can you send her my way?
These are perfection.
Gorgeous Kelle. I find these kind of photos very sweet and comforting. After so much writing, reading, chemical equations and math problems, it’s nice to let my eyes just look and relax at something…if you know what I’m saying. Well done Heidi!
Ah, such sweet pictures. Love to see your happy family.
What a beautiful day.
Aw these are lovely. Family shots that you can treasure x
I love that you are all in these photos….
Lovely! X
My favorite kind of photo shoot. Relaxed and real. And that beautiful Florida sunshine streaming in the windows. Love.
It’s been a hard week for this mama. These put a smile on my face and remind me that Home. Ordinary. That’s what centers me. Happy Friday. 🙂
So nice to see Brett in the photos as well. When all is said and done and the children leave the nest there will be the two of you and that relationship is just as precious and important. Beautiful shots…kudos to Heidi!
Oh Kelle these are all so wonderful and adorable and sweet! But I have to admit, I think my favorite photo is the one of your adorable pup sitting atop the pile of clothes in the laundry basket. Oh. My. Gosh! LOVE.
What great photos Kelle.I love Laniey’s hair she got quite a bit cut off it looks so cute.
Home is definitely where your heart is. Such great photos captured, Heidi. Here’s to Sundays!
The picture of Dash hugging you while you pull his pants on- that’s my very favorite thing my little Kellan does <3
