A little radio silence there, spurred by an awful cold that took its toll on all of us and welcoming family in from out of town–nicer than the cold, I’ll say. Our lack of normalcy right now has me in the same state I was in watching the Grammys last night–“Wait, what?” Some nice performances, but completely incongruous. We’re latching onto our grounding routines (coffee, bath, bedtime!) while loving these opportunities to be with family.
We returned to the Isles of Capri yesterday, a long time coming. We blamed the lull on the fact that we’re busier and it’s harder to get us all out the door, but then we got there and watched the kids happily entertain themselves for hours–a nice reminder that it’s worth it. So while I get my bearings and clean up the remainder of wadded tissues in the house, here’s some sunshine to get the week rolling.
